We got 3 rolls at little Tokyo. The fish was large portions but not the best (still tasted fresh). Had a salmon roll, a yellow tail with scallions and an Alaskan roll. The service was fast, but the guy at the cash resister had zero interest in customer service. He had something on his phone he was watching that was way more important than me. After I ordered I left and came back in and that second time he didn't even acknowledge me before providing our food.

This is my daughter's favorite place to go when she's home from college. So many menu options! Service is very good, they are so polite and hospitable. I love the decor in here, and the fact they have artwork on the wall from Japan and photos of their dishes. Very beautiful.

Great service, lovely ambiance and super quick service. The Tataki salad was a delight. Highly recommend the avacado dream roll and Bowdoin rolls. Yum! Cannot wait to try again!

Came here a few times because of the proximity to the Amtrak and loved it each time. Its location is really great. There is plenty of parking over in this area which is super nice. The actual food is good, safe, yummy sushi. I especially loved their udon as I find that sometimes hard to find in the area. Not to mention it's right next to gelato!

I've been going here for years and it never disappoints! The udon noodles with shrimp, the pork katsu, and the spicy tuna roll are definitely our favorites!! We often try something new too since they have so many options (especially for sushi). I prefer to dine in here because everything is best fresh (especially the sushi, miso soup, and house salads), but their takeout is great too! Whenever I order takeout, they almost always say it'll only be 15 minutes and I've never had to wait longer than they say. They typically put cold and hot items in separate bags so make sure you get both (I say that because I didn't get the second bag one time and only realized once I got home). Definitely one of my favorite Brunswick restaurants!

Ordered take out because we were craving sushi and didn't want to drive into Portland. Got the: Fresh fish trio--3 rolls containing raw salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. Well constructed roll but something was off about the flavor profile. Rainbow roll--this was spot on delicious with slices of fish and avocado draped in the outside of the roll but pricey at $12 for the portion size Philadelphia roll--smoked salmon and cream cheese. On the salty creamy side of things. It our favorite. Chirashi don set--thick cut salmon, tuna, snapper, cooked shrimp, albacore, crab stick, grilled eel, fish roe on a thick bed of sushi rice. Served with salad and miso soup. Unagi don set--same grilled eel with dark sweet sauce for the chirashi and other rolls. So not cut thickly like a slab. But they gave a generous amount along with 2 pieces of pickled daikon. Served on a bed of sushi rice with miso soup and salad. The salad was ice berg lettuce and tomato wedges with Mayo dressing. Miso soup was strong with generous amounts of seaweed. Ordering was simple and streamlined. Pick up was also well organized with masks required and hand sanitizing at the door.

Nice experience here. Food was good. Servings were huge. We have leftovers so we took it home with us. The place was clean. Staff were nice.

Honestly I was so surprised by little Tokyo - I was skeptical at first because of the location we were in but it was a happy surprise :) The sushi was really fresh and the rice for the nigiri was prepared perfectly ! They were very generous with their cuts (but it did not compromise the taste) My only complaint would be the chicken teriyaki - the chicken was cooked perfectly and ratio of rice to chicken was great - however, it was lacking flavor and taste! Overall - would recommend

Maybe the lights were a little harshly bright, but otherwise a fine place to dine. We didn't get too many things, as we stopped in more for a finisher for the evening than full meal (we'd come from a party with small foods). We ordered a shoyu ramen and a dragon roll. Interesting note on the dragon roll, it has a sweet potato interior. This led to a distinct flavor from other rolls I've had in the past, and a smooshier texture, but a good roll nonetheless. The ramen was mostly a delight. Sumptuous broth, the egg was not too hard nor soft, and almost all the ingredients were perfect. Which I usually avoid that word because it's too subjective, but it seems to fit here. Major exception is the chashu pork. It was overcooked to the extreme. No other word for it, these dried out circles of meat were thick and chewy, and soaking them in the broth couldn't save them. Sad. Otherwise, some of the best ramen I've had since leaving Japan. The only other note I'd have is I just wanted some tea, and had to order a weird tea concoction to get it. Sometimes you'd just like an oolong tea, nothing fancy. I recommend this restaurant, overall, and hope you enjoy it too.

I'm not paying $25 for old spinach that you're calling wilted. We saw a little farmers market thing going on in a little park on the walk over to Joshua's but it had ended by the time we realized our mistake and tried to walk back. Then we spot this little hole in the wall. It looked like it was once a gas station Asian food restaurant. The front of the building read: Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. We like all of those things so we headed over and took a chance. They no longer offer table service, but there was a sign that said you're welcome to eat your food inside, so we did. The menu was like any other Asian restaurant, all the staples were there, the lunch specials that include your eggroll and soup, choice of fried rice or white rice. So we ordered a couple lunch specials. And two are surprised it was insanely good. It wasn't like fine dining Asian food, it was more like comfort Asian food. My pad Thai was real pad Thai, it was sweet and it was sour, it was the spice level I asked for! It did not taste like spicy dried peanut butter rubbed all over rice noodles. There was a fantastic sauce to it. The miso soup I ordered was light and refreshing, yet comforting, like something your mom would make. The outside of this building looks like it's going to make you sick, ignore that part and go inside.

Confession time: the idea of paying to cook my own dinner has never exactly screamed "great night…read moreout." Then I went to N to Tail, and now I'm considering a career in table-side grilling. The meal started with spicy cucumbers, fried eggplant, and Korean fried chicken. The cucumbers were refreshing, sweet, spicy, and dangerously addictive. The eggplant was crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. And the fried chicken? My partner could have just eaten that alone and been happy! The four of us went all in on the largest combo platter. Short rib, ribeye, pork belly, shrimp, chicken, veggies--the grill was working overtime. The short rib ipractically melted, the ribeye was buttery perfection, and the pork belly reminded us why pork belly has such a devoted fan club. There was a brief period where my partner and I had no idea what we were doing at the grill, luckily we were with seasoned veterans of it! By the end of the meal my confidence was soaring that I could do this again! The banchan, which the server hinted at has a few sides that change time to time, kept every bite interesting The service was fantastic and so informative, and the entire experience was far more fun than I expected. N to Tail is a hidden gem. Come hungry, bring friends, and don't be surprised if you leave wondering why you haven't stopped by sooner.

There were plenty of large tables available in the front where the host stand was. I could count 4 tables on my way in, 1 or 2 of them larger tables.
