I hired their team for a 6-camera install around the outside of my house. I went over the details…read morewith Mike, the owner, on the phone and he sent his guys out on the next available appointment. Mike said his guys knew their stuff through their experience with all sorts of installs, but I think he should have also advertised their level of effort. I went over the plan with the guys assigned to the job - Matt and Robert. They helped me tweak it in line with their professional opinion, the reality of the install, and how hide the ethernet runs. To my surprised, they offered to and spent the extra time to create runs inside a smaller attic to mount two of the cameras to leave no visible wiring to the device. Check the pictures for a few of the installs. I've given the cameras a few days to soak test against high load and moderately toasty temperatures outside (Lower conductivity and high data traffic to challenge the install.). So far it has worked pretty darn good on the first go. Beyond the install, Mike and the team respected my decision to acquire and manage my own cameras, poe switches, and VMS. They didn't attempt at all to make any sales pitches but did offer to help me acquire cameras if I needed their assistance to do so. I appreciate all of this because I know doing this kind of work for a residential building doesn't provide the best returns for a business and many have stopped offering wired camera install services - including the low voltage installers for my home! On top of that, they do this at a very reasonable price.

Half the time the computer can't hear you and doesn't recognize the city you are located at. It's just not good customer service. Called yesterday about 5:15 pm to get service cause my car wouldn't start. I was at home and had an appointment at 6 pm. After struggling with the automated response computer I finally got my request in after about 15 minutes. Received a message that it would be an hour and 8 minutes before a truck would arrive. We'll that time passed with no one arriving. Received a message that they were having trouble finding and assigning a truck so they would update me in 20 minutes. I got an update that it would be another 25 minutes until they could update me. After that time past I cancelled my request and received a message that I could not cancel. I said again I wanted to cancel. It said a person would contact me. No one contacted me to discuss my cancellation request. At 7:55 pm I received a message that the tow truck arrived. 2 1/2 hours after my request. I told the driver that I had cancelled and he said he had no problem. Now I am going to contact them to see if they counted this cancelled request as a service request against my account. They allow you to have 4 per year so I want to see if they deducted this request from my allocated number. So disappointing to see a good service in the past decline so badly. I used this system in the past and had to wait an hour plus but it has gotten worse over time.

While I appreciated his input during the design phase and his work ethics, the mess on a couple of camera installs has left a completely bad taste. When the pre-wiring was done for the security camera, I don't know why the pre-wire had to be right next to the light. Jacob apparently thought that it was going be a sconce - but communication is important. Don't assume - if not sure, ask. So his pre-wiring would be fine if it was a sconce but definitely not OK for the flood light. Even after that happened, I knew that there is no way the camera would fit. And I told him that it would be OK to have the wire come down and then mount the camera below the light. I was really surprised when he told me that he was able to fit the camera and the light. When I checked later, I was shocked at what was done. Not only the floodlight jammed into the camera doesn't look nice, it also cuts off all the light to that side of the house. When I mentioned this issue, he offered to fix it but at this point I don't know how one fixes this since there are additional holes drilled into the siding and the rock that would be visible to make the thing even worst. I certainly did not expect this level of goof up when you pay a professional to do a job. One other thing to add is that when the pre-wiring was done, he kept talking about using toning to figure out the location. Fortunately, I had taken pictures to help with that - otherwise I think he would be spending a lot more time to figure out the speaker locations. This was my time getting a home built - so I did not know what to expect but I would that a professional would know to take some good pictures/measurements so that the finish phase is easier.
