This started out as a very negative review. We had made arrangements to sell a truck to them with a promise of $17K, only to arrive and be told $15K. I won't bore everyone with that part of the story. Lets pick up where I got a text from the used vehicle aquisition manager Anthony Nordstrom, apologizing for the mixup/issues and restating that not only was he going to honor the original deal ($17K) but would drive out to Brentwood with the paperwork and pick up the truck so we did not have to deliver it. He kept his promise today. He arrived, had all the paperwork ready to sign and then went one step further. He said he would drive to the dealership, get a check cut and return later the same day. He kept his promise and did precisely that. Now you might be wondering why we gave 5 stars. Yes, it was over and above what one might have expected. Well let me mention the back story. The owner of the truck, a friend of mine was 90 years old, in hospice care and expected to die soon. When Anthony heard the whole story, he not only offered to honor the original deal, but promised to honor that deal for the remainder of the month (25 days). Sadly, David passed away yesterday. But Anthony brightened the day of the widow Pam by dropping everything and delivering on his promise. That my friend is going beyond the next step in customer service. I have never felt so disrespected or humiliated and treated like a criminal by a dealership in my life. I scheduled a 1:00 PM appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. When I made the appointment that morning, I specifically explained that I needed the service completed quickly and was assured it would take about 45 minutes. I arrived at 12:40 PM and pulled into the service drive. For over 10 minutes, multiple service advisors sat at their desks and completely ignored me. Not one person acknowledged my presence. Then another customer, who was Caucasian, pulled in behind me and was immediately greeted and helped. At that point, I honestly began to question why I was being ignored. It certainly felt like I was being treated differently because of my race. When I finally approached the advisor helping the customer behind me, his only response was that he "didn't see me." That explanation made no sense considering my vehicle was parked directly in front of the one he had just walked up to. Was I somehow invisible? Eventually I was assigned to Daniel Oliviera, and my experience only got worse. From the moment we spoke, he made me feel like I was an inconvenience and that my business was not wanted. He was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. Instead of addressing why I had been ignored, he simply blamed another advisor. I came in for exactly two services: an oil change and tire rotation. Rather than focusing on what I requested, Daniel immediately tried to sell me additional services I did not ask for. When I declined and repeated that I only wanted the oil change and tire rotation, he began using scare tactics to pressure me into spending more money. I then asked how long the service would take. He told me about an hour and a half. When I explained that I had specifically been promised 45 minutes when I made the appointment, his response was, "They lied to you. This is the real world now." He repeated "the real world" multiple times in what came across as a condescending and unnecessary remark. While waiting, I received the dealership's inspection video followed by another text stating my vehicle was finished and that I could pay electronically. I paid immediately through the dealership's own payment system and received confirmation that my payment was successful. After waiting another 10 minutes, my vehicle was brought out. Since I had already paid through the app, I grabbed my keys and left. About 30 minutes later, Daniel called me and accused me of leaving without paying. He threatened to report me to the authorities unless I returned or called him immediately. I checked my payment confirmation again, and everything had processed successfully through the dealership's own system. I had done exactly what their text message instructed me to do. To make matters even worse, when I reviewed my electronic service paperwork, it stated that I had run to my car without paying and that I would be reported throughout the Toyota dealership network. That accusation was completely false. I paid my bill before leaving, and I have the payment confirmation to prove it. Being falsely accused of theft after paying in full was humiliating. Combined with being ignored upon arrival, feeling like I was treated differently from another customer, and then being threatened despite having proof of payment, this became the worst dealership service experience I have ever had. I attempted to contact Daniel, the service manager, and the general manager to discuss what happened and give them an opportunity to make things right. To this day, I have not received a return call. Livermore Toyota lost my trust completely. No customer should be ignored, treated with disrespect, pressured into unnecessary services, falsely accused of not paying, or threatened after following the dealership's own payment process. I found the perfect Toyota Tundra on their website - my preferred color choice and with all the options I wanted. They were offering a great discount, so I contacted them and requested the total out-the-door price for my zip code. A sales rep promptly responded with a very detailed line-itemized quote. In addition to the purchase of the new truck, I was also looking to trade-in my existing truck that I had already received an offer from Carmax and he said they could honor it if I had the official offer and to bring it in, which I did. With everything lined up, we made an appointment for Saturday morning. We drove the 75 miles to the dealership, met the sales rep, test drove the truck and confirmed we wanted to proceed with the purchase. Sitting at the sales rep's desk, he went to discuss with the sales manager and was gone for 40+ minutes. He returned with an offer nearly $3k more than he had provided initially and with a trade-in $8k less than the quote from Carmax. This was a $10k-$11k difference in what we had initially discussed and I was very irritated and told him I just want the price he already quoted me. The sales rep proceeds to say that was an accident and they will give me the advertised discount, but it will not be the price that he quoted. He goes back to the sales manager for another long period and returns with another offer. He says the numbers from the quote were not correct and he didn't know the car had a 3M clear coating (the biggest scam that car dealers ploy) already applied and this price is the best they can do. He brings the sales manager over - who was aggressive and rude and just kept pointing to the fine-print of the quote as their justification and then he tries to argue we have to pay tax on the $3k factory rebate twice (later confirmed as absolutely incorrect by the finance guy.) Irritated with this offer and the sales manager not acknowledging what we were saying about the offer and taxing us twice, we proceeded to leave - however on my way out, I make another offer to meet them halfway to which they promptly respond no way, it's the best price they will do. Before the drive back home and with the Carmax offer expiring soon, we talked through our options and determined that this truck was still the one we want. I knew I could get the truck cheaper, but after adding in the options - which I will have to install, we will be at the same price, and it will not be my first choice in color. So we return and tell the sales rep we'd like to purchase the truck but we don't want to work with the sales manager. The rest of the interaction was as expected. We drove the old truck down the highway to Carmax and were out there in 30 minutes with the quoted check in hand - completely hassle free. I love Carmax! I'm sure they will attempt to spin-doctor the events described above, but what I have described is complete and accurate. If you decide to purchase with Livermore Toyota, do so with your eyes wide open. read more

They were insistent on upselling me on service that they said needs to be done every 30K miles, when my car's user manual says the service is only needed every 120K (!!!) miles, or 60K miles if you do heavy towing. They never asked if I do any towing or anything and they never even LOOKED at my car before recommending this service. They also warned me that not getting this service done would VOID MY WARRANTY, which is completely false and again, contrary to what the user manual and warranty documentation tells you. The operating manual that came with your car will tell you the proper service intervals and what needs to be done at what time. You CANNOT trust these people to be honest about it and they will actively lie and upsell you. Read your user manual and don't listen to anything these people say. Review for purchasing a 26 CAMRY HYBRID LE and first service after 5k complimentary oil change. Had a great experience as far as the purchase . Went with 26 LE Camry hybrid over the sport package top of the line because I wanted the most MPG. It's funny the more you pay the less mileage you get. Sales people don't really hustle you because you can just go on the internet and print out the MSRP these days with no fuss they will work with you . As far as the dealership , it has everything , wi fi , lounge plenty of parking plus easy exit off 580. Lots of inventory , apparel, veh specific various accessories , compliment coffee machine and small snacks. Our first service was pretty simple you park the car in like someone will tag it with a number take your keys then you briefly go over the service s to be done with a service rep. Our first service on a busy Saturday took roughly just under 2 hrs, they message you when complete. They take pics of the work and surprisingly we found out a rodent likes our warm engine and starts chewing up some engine wires most likely a rat or mouse, but no damage was really done but they replaced what was eaten up. Free extended service warranty is 5 visits or 25,000 mileage oil change . So far so good. Ease of making an appointment was by far so easy as you can chat with a AI appointment maker online only takes a minute. Looking forward for the rest of my visits here in the future. read more

The most unorganized service department ever! I don't live in the area, but this was the closest Toyota to me at the time. Had a nail in my tire and it took two days, two trips there to get it fixed. My Rav is only 6 months old and recently had the 5k service at the dealership closer to my home. When they finally had my tire and were able to fix it, they also did a 21 pt inspection with video. I explained that I was in a rush, Mom in the hospital, I simply needed a tire change! An Unforgettable New Year's Blessing - Thank You, Livermore Toyota New Year's Eve started off stressful when I got a huge mongoose nail in my tire at 11:30 PM. I called Toyota Roadside Assistance and was towed to a dealership, but unfortunately, the experience there did not go well at all. I went into New Year's Day feeling worried and discouraged. Then something incredible happened. On New Year's Day, I received a call from the General Manager of Livermore Toyota, Mr. Mark Hashimi. I was genuinely shocked, in the best way, that on a holiday he personally reached out to me and let me know that if I could bring my car to his dealership, he would have his team take care of it. That alone spoke volumes. I immediately had my car towed from Tracy Toyota to Livermore Toyota, since I wasn't able to get a response from Tracy. When I arrived, I met Mr. Hashimi in person, and from that moment on, I felt completely taken care of. He and his team assured me every step of the way that if anything went wrong, they would communicate immediately and do everything they could to fix it. I handed over my lavender keys, signed the drop-off envelope, and took the shuttle home. To my absolute amazement, one of their wonderful sales team members, Mr. Humza Loinab, personally drove me all the way to Tracy. That level of kindness and care is something you rarely see. They truly went above and beyond. Work on my 2026 Prius started promptly at 7:00 AM, I received text updates throughout the entire process, and they had everything handled in one single day. To top it off, they even sent a shuttle 20 miles to Tracy just to pick me up and bring me back to the dealership. An Uber would have cost me $45, but instead, they looked out for me without hesitation. The best part? They took care of my tire at no charge and even included a complimentary car wash. My service advisor, Jose Coyotzi, reassured me from the beginning that he would take care of everything and that I wouldn't have to pay a thing. That peace of mind meant more to me than I can express. As a young woman getting ready to start at Cal State, trying to get my bearings and figure everything out, this experience was truly a blessing. I have worked at dealerships myself, and I have never received service like this, not even close. The contrast between this experience and my experience in Tracy was night and day. Every single person I interacted with was memorable, respectful, and genuinely kind. I took my truck in because the front recognition camera was faulty. I knew my extended warranty would cover the issue. It clearly says so in the pamphlet I was given when I bought the truck brand new from a Toyota dealership, as well as on the warranty company's website. I have the paperwork and warranty card I was given to show exactly what my warranty covers. It's a third-party warranty. When I arrived, I was told there would be a diagnostic fee. I completely understood, as I was also told it would be covered by the warranty company if my claim was accepted. I had no problem with that because I knew I was covered. The next day, I received a phone call from the service writer, Andrian. He told me he had contacted the warranty company and that I only had a powertrain warranty. He then told me it would cost $3,100 to fix my truck. I thought, "There's no way. Did I read something wrong?" I was at work, so I went home during my lunch break to check my paperwork again. I found it very hard to believe that someone wasn't being truthful. I called Andrian back multiple times but got no answer. I finally called the service department and explained the situation to two different people before I was transferred to Andrian. I told him there had to be a mistake because I was covered and had the paperwork to prove it. He dismissed me and said I could call the warranty company and work it out myself if I wanted. However, I can't submit a claim myself--a repair shop has to do it. I even went to the dealership that Saturday with my paperwork to show him. He told me, "I have nothing to do with it." At that point, I simply asked for my diagnostic paperwork, including the fault codes and an itemized estimate for parts and labor. I picked up my truck and reluctantly paid the $235 diagnostic fee because I just wanted this nightmare to end. I shouldn't have had to pay it, as the warranty would have covered it. I then took everything to another repair shop and showed them my paperwork. They spent about five minutes looking it over and laughed. They told me I was, without a doubt, covered under my warranty. As long as that was the issue after confirming They submitted the claim, and it was approved in less than three hours after I left. Stay away from this dealership. They have some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced and will do absolutely nothing when you try to show them documentation. I was told multiple times by Andrian that "I have nothing to do with that." He expected me to do all the work while he still got paid. my truck will now be repaired at no cost to me. I'll never be back to this dealership, and I strongly suggest others stay as far away as possible read more

Went to Livermore Toyota for a tire rotation. They said they inflated all four to 35psi. When I got home I noticed three were at 37 and one at 38psi. The tires are stamped with 36 being the maximum. A few hours later I was in the area so I stopped by to see if they would correct this. After several minutes They brought my truck back and assured me all four were set to 35psi and after a few minutes of driving it would indicate this. After a few miles I noticed the rears were at 37, and the right front was at 36, but now the left front is at 31psi. I don't know what the hell is going on at Livermore Toyota. They used to be a place of trust and professionalism. Now they can't even get tire pressure correct. This level of incompetence is intolerable, and inexcusable. read more

I drove over an hour to the dealership, only to be told when I arrived that the truck was not available and was at a GMC service center for a recall. After that, I followed up multiple times over the next several weeks. Each time, I was told the truck would be available "next week," but that never happened. Eventually, they stopped providing updates altogether. This felt very misleading and a complete waste of my time. If a vehicle is not actually available, it should not be advertised or appointments should not be scheduled around it. Don't buy a used car from this Toyota. The used car sales manager is no better than the stereotype of one. I purchased a used Subaru from this dealer one year ago. The car was noisy, and I asked that it be doubled check. A belt was replaced (which should have been replaced already), and I was told the other noise was just the large engine. I learned today, after putting no more than 3,000 miles on it, that the noise is from the transmission, which needs to be replaced. The day I left the dealership, the tire pressure gauge went on ¼ away. I was on the way to an appointment in Berkeley and didn't stop, just figured I'd add air. The tire had a hole in it that had to be patched. A week later, as I got on the freeway for an 1,100 drive, the check engine light went on. I pulled off and had to add (all) 4 quarts of oil. It never occurred to me that a very successful Toyota dealership would pull this sort of thing. Buyer beware. read more
