To all who are considering doing business at a LAPIS dealership (be it Porsche, Audi, Land Rover, Honda, Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz). Here is my experience...and it's not a good one. I had sought out a particular vehicle and finally found one of interest; the problem was, it was over 500 miles away in Southern California (I live in Northern California). However, even if the vehicle was in the area, I would still need to perform some type of due diligence, in order to assure I was purchasing a sound/functional vehicle. That said, I found a Lapis Dealership only 20 minutes away from where the vehicle resided and made an appointment for a Pre-Purchase Inspection (cost $740). Days later, I was contacted by the service manager and told the vehicle was in good condition, although it still needed some suspension work and to replace a few leaking seals. With this endorsement in hand, I purchased the vehicle and had it shipped to Northern California. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the following: * No AC * No headlights * Windshield wipers inoperable * Antenna won't retract * Parking brake won't hold * Tachometer won't go above 2,000 * Windows require manual intervention to operate * Each door lock is keyed differently and neither works with the keys * Erratic Idle/RPM * Rear shocks leaking * Fuel leaks * Oil leaking from bell housing/main seal For those of you not familiar with cars, most of these items (some safety-related) would have been easy to identify by either pushing some buttons in the driver's compartment or readily visible with the vehicle up on a car lift). THE TOTAL COST OF RECTIFYING THESE ISSUES HAS RESULTED IN A REPAIR BILL EXCEEDING $30,000! Of course, I was less than pleased and contacted the dealership. While they were willing to refund my $740, they were totally unwilling to accept any responsibility for their obvious mechanical oversights...essentially just patting me on the head and hoping I would just go away! Well, $30,000 is a huge chunk of change and I wasn't willing to go away quietly. I contacted the Customer Care Manager and Customer Service Department for the car manufacturer and both told me the COO of LAPIS/Mark Venti would be my main contact for resolving this issue. However, after numerous attempts to contact Mr Venti to resolve this issue, my communiques (email, as well as certified mail) have fallen on deaf ears - NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. While it took every fiber of my being while writing this, I have refrained from utilizing 4-letter expletives to portray my displeasure, although a $30,000+ bill to cover their mistakes is pretty close to a living hell. In short, BEWARE the LAPIS Dealership Group does not have your back! I would highly recommend you seek out alternatives to a LAPIS Dealership! read more

First, my expensive Range Rover full size doesn't start from our mall visit.. with only 2800 miles on it! Tried all kinds of things, including speaking to a technician.. for 30 mins, we thought we have to tow our almost new car. But it decided to start with check engine failure light on. Take it to service next day.. they don't know how long it will take to fix and don't provide a loaner car.. you are on your own .. except for a Uber drop off. My experience with Land Rover Livermore has been absolutely appalling. It is a long-standing pattern of poor service and deceit that goes beyond a single bad experience. We loved our Range Rover Sport, but the issues stemming from this dealership's lack of competence forced us to sell it just to end our association with them. How this dealership is still functioning is a miracle. The GM told me that they could 'throw money' at problems all day but with the number of problems they have had over the years they would likely be closed. Well, maybe they should be. I have met many people 'out in the wild' who have choice words to say about this dealership, I'm shocked that they are open still. When purchasing a LUXURY vehicle, this type of experience or service is the last thing you would expect. We purchased a brand new Range Rover Sport excited and very much in love with the vehicle. Unfortunately, that quickly turned as we had issue after issue primarily stemming from the service department. A highlight of pain was needing to bring my vehicle in over 13 times for the same issue, never to be fully resolved! Each time I took it in the experiences got worse and worse, resulting in damage to the leather in my vehicle, grease marks and carelessness by the techs. The incompetence was so severe that the Service Manager eventually asked if we considered having Land Rover buy the vehicle back as a lemon. While still being in love with my vehicle I declined, how much I WISH I had taken them up on this offer is depressing. We had strong intentions of keeping this vehicle for a VERY long time with purchases of multiple add on packages. We instantly regretted purchasing these as dealing with the dealership was a non-stop headache. Getting them to follow up or respond to emails or calls, if you have an issue or are seeking assistance is near impossible, unless you come in to the dealership to address them, good luck! If you plan to purchase a vehicle from here and have all future services and communications taken elsewhere, this dealership may be for you. If you have to work with this dealership in any way shape or form after your purchase, you will regret it. Finally, we have gotten rid of this vehicle to rid ourselves of the pain that is dealing with anyone beyond the actual sales team on the floor. We at this point began to explore how much of the many extended packages we could get prorated refunds on. The finance manager who works here now explained that the packages we purchased were terrible and he never would have sold these to us. We get to a point where they are looking into what they can refund us. We started this process in the beginning of SEPTEMBER, we were told it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the refunds. It took until mid December to receive any sort of compensation and still have not received ALL proper refunds, and likely never will. It has been a constant trying to reach anyone at this dealership who actually do something to help, own up to their mistakes and address the concerns of their customers. Final Warning: If you purchase a vehicle here, plan to take ALL future service and communication elsewhere. If you have to deal with anyone beyond the sales team, you will regret it. We made an appt with Lauren Eisenberg to see the vehicle. She was great to work with. She was very friendly, considerate and funny. She just has a great attitude and made us feel comfortable, like you were talking to a friend, not a business transaction. I took my wife's 2023 Range Rover Sport here for its first service and to get some minor curb rash taken care of (I purchased the wheel and tire warranty when I bought the car). The company they used was absolutely awful and butchered the wheels so badly that all four wheels had to be completely re-done (re-dipped, re-coated), this time I found a company on my own (the LR service tech at the time told me I couldn't do this, but after this incident I called the wheel insurance company and they told me this was flat-out not true). More importantly, I recently took the car there for its second service and to get the windshield replaced and my driver self-closing door fixed (and a couple of other things). On multiple occasions, I told them to make sure this was all done and functioning because I live over an hour away and I don't want to get the car, bring it back, and notice something wasn't done. Finally, after waiting a ridiculous amount of time (a few weeks, they had forgotten one of the items we had talked about in an email and over the phone multiple times), the car was picked up... and the self closing door STILL DID NOT WORK. They simply apologized and told me to bring it back. When I asked if something could be done, perhaps like meeting my wife at her work in Concord to pick up the car, I was ghosted. Oh, and when I went the first time, they had a mouse running around their waiting area. I would never go back here. read more

WORSE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND MANAGEMENT YOU CAN EVER DEAL WITH. So much for buying a $150k car. My emblems were falling off so i took the car in for service, they gave me a loaner with the engine light on, i drive onto the 680 and the car stopped multiple times in the middle of the freeway. ( I have videos) I immediately called Range Rover and they sent a tow truck to pick up without any empathy. They told me they will uber me back home from work. Then they sent my car with an "experienced" driver. MY WHOLE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED! Management said it was my fault because there was supposedly a tiny chip that lead to half my window being cracked. They first offered to pay my deductible for the windshield and give me my first service for free, then when they found out my deductible was $1000 they said no to everything! The worst customer service reps including the whole sales management team especially Adam. False promises, does not follow through and gets nothing done. You will not get resolution for anything here. They will sell you the car just fine but when it comes time for them to handle anything else afterwards you are no longer a priority.
