This is the same review copied from Google review from many years ago. One million thanks to Google they were not moved and still keeps it. The dealer used Police to suppress customer dispute for their mistake. ---------------------- Avoid this dealer by all means. Don't buy Honda Odyssey: The vehicle has 3 very expensive catalytic converters which may go bad in 5 years (less than 40K mileage in my case, soon after Dublin Honda changed the engine piston/cylinder, a manufacturer recall job. Don't know what Dublin Honda did to my vehicle that damaged the catalytic converters causing the engine light to go back on again in only several months) and cost $1500~$2500 each to replace. And you have to replace them because otherwise the vehicle won't pass the SMOG check. Cost me over $5,000 or worth one-third of vehicle value to replace them. In retrospect, truly a bad choice for me to buy this vehicle. I have been suspecting that if it was not a vehicle quality problem, my young catalytic converters were intentionally or by negligence swapped with old ones from other vehicles at the dealership, in view my vehicle was left with Dublin Honda for over a month for engine repair. By the way, the vehicle was purchased right at this dealer. Don't buy from Dublin Honda because of their terrible after-sale service. The first thing I want to say: Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda is the first and only dealer or any auto shop I met in my life using police to suppress customer dispute, citing that Dublin Honda is a private property, even if I am their customer, I have no right to be there. The second thing I want to say: The police can only suppress the civil dispute, they cannot solve it. PS: I picked up my vehicle on the early morning Oct 8, 2022. While driving back home I noticed from the mirror that a long window sealing rubber was fluttering/flying like a snake alongside the vehicle so I drove back immediately to Dublin Honda. The window sealing rubber was clearly peeled off by their automatic washing machine. Even the fact is so clear and so obvious, the service manager Teroll Melton showed ultimate arrogance, rudeness, offered no apology, refused to repair and called the Dublin police. The dealer also messed up with the electrical wiring of my vehicle when they replaced the engine cylinders in 2021, a manufacturer recall job, causing some lights on the vehicle dashboard to behave strangely. Check Engine Lights went on and off cyclically for an uncertain period of time for no reason. Maintenance light turned on at 15% oil life, off at 8% oil life and back on at 1% oil life. There seems to be a connection between the status of Tire Pressure Light and that of the Check Engine Light. And many other weird behaviors. All these together indicate there is an on-going electrical wiring problem that they introduced when they replaced the engine pistons/cylinders: some wires going to the wrong device/sensor, damaged, burnt or short circuited, or not contact well. The dealer proposed a free diagnosis on the Check Engine Light Problem if I agreed to do vehicle repair there on Oct 7, 2022 (Unless I agreed, they refused to do anything). They quickly concluded that the catalytic converter --- something similar to muffler --- is broken and need to be replaced which could cost hundreds even thousands. Their so-called conclusion certainly in my view is ridiculous because it does not explain many other things. In my opinion, the dealer messed up with the electrical wiring when they repaired my engine last year, and they don't want to check and redo the wiring because it costs them too much to correct a big mistake they made. In my view, the dealer can only do simple works like routine vehicle maintenance; they don't have the expertise and knowledge to do complicated, systematic and advanced work: they will just screw up your vehicle without taking any responsibility. So if you have a complicated job like an engine repair job that requires high skills and expertise, avoid using Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda. Even if it is a small and simple routine maintenance job, you need pay close attention to minor things like missing tire caps, off window sealing rubbers, scratched surface, and screaming wheel sound at sharp turns. (Have to be short here: Google will filter out this review if I copy/paste the long review I wrote on other platforms.)

Visited a few Honda locations within a 60mi radius and I chose to write about this one because we had one of the smoothest and pleasant experiences at this location because of Roberto "Primo". We were looking to buy a used car with easy maintenance and good on gas. And that is exact what we got. We found Roberto to be very honest and he took time to understand exactly what we were looking for. The interaction was straightforward and comfortable- no pressure and no up selling just pure customer service. He was upfront about what was negotiable and what was not making the decision process easy. Honda is lucky to have Roberto on the sales floor.

Dublin Honda was difficult to spot while driving on Dublin Blvd. Had to get onto Hwy. 580 to spot them. After spotting same, took the next exit. D.H. is a large facility. Many lots in front of the main building. E. approached me as i was perusing some Honda Accords. I had limited ideas about a potential car. honda a backup option. Each dealership was a quick "date" ala speed dating. Stated my intentions to gather bare facts to be compared later. Barely looked at cars. E. was disappointed Honda was #2 on my list. Informed me Honda was having a clearance on 2024 Accords with possible 2.9% financing & $3,000. Off asking price, not MSRP. I took notes, thanked him. In parting, he said he would relay trade-in value of my vehicle. Never called. Probably cuz my wheels old, didn't have much value. If he did, a deal could have been made. (Decided this later when all data was compared). Could still happen. No contract signed yet...

I wanted to start off by saying- I called Hayward Honda twice, and left a voicemail for a call back but never heard anything back. The third time I called, i got hung up on- I gave them 3 chances for my business. Yet; one call to Honda Dublin- I immediately get set up with an appointment within the same phone call in less than 10 minutes. I am already satisfied. Fast forward to today's service - I had an appointment at 10 am and I ended up arriving at 9:45 - with no hesitation Albert immediately helped me out. I mentioned my appointment wasn't until 10 and I am willing to wait, but he still helped me anyway. Albert was very kind when checking me in. Afterwards, he warned me about the wait prior to actually taking my car. Most services i've been to, tell me the wait time after they already have taken my car (at that point, i'm waiting). About halfway through the day, I texted to get an update and within 2-3 minutes i got a response. I am very satisfied with their efficiency AND the fact that they have good service while providing FAST service- I second their sign hanging in their service center ! A huge shoutout to Albert for going the extra mile.

Do not trust this dealership. My experience with Dublian Honda started on Wednesday and ended on Sunday, and the entire time I was being pushed by Brittney and William to come in because they kept saying the car was ready or almost ready. That was not true. They repeatedly told me the car was "ready," "almost ready," "in detail," or would be ready very soon. They also kept promising photos, but the photos were delayed over and over again. When photos finally came, the car was still dusty, still in the workshop, and clearly not ready. On Saturday morning, I was told William would be there around 11:30, and I was also told the interior/leather still needed cleaning. Then I was told the windshield was being replaced and the car would be good to go that night. Later, I was told photos would come in a few minutes, then I was told to wait until the next morning. On Sunday, I got more delays and more excuses. Then at 5:05 PM, they texted that detailing took longer than expected and photos would be sent as soon as possible. At 5:09 PM, I called and was told the car had already been sold. That is not a simple delay. That is dishonest and completely unprofessional. They wasted my time for days with shifting stories, false readiness updates, and promises that were not true. I never even got to test drive the car. Do not rely on what they say. Do not trust verbal promises from Brittney or William. If you deal with this dealership at all, get everything in writing, get current photos, and confirm the car is actually available before you make any plans. Why will you though?

By far the best car shopping experience I have ever had. I'm 41 and I've been driving and buying cars since I was 20 years old, and this has been the best and most memorable experience ever. The communication and customer service provided to me by Dublin Honda was phenomenal, outstanding, the upmost best. Vincent was our salesperson and he could not have been more kinder and professional and very personable, also I would love to give a big thank you to jimmy the sales manager, they were amazing to us and I will recommend Dublin Honda to all my friends and family. I have always loved Honda but now I will be a customer for life. Thank you Dublin Honda for making this the best Christmas ever

Buying my first car was an incredibly stressful experience, but Masud and Alex made the entire process completely seamless. Even with my very limited credit history as a young buyer, Masud was able to get me a great deal on the portion I financed. They were both incredibly professional, kind, and patient throughout the process, and really gave me the peace of mind I needed when making such a major purchase. They even let me take the car on an extended test drive so I could feel completely comfortable with it before buying. I was also genuinely shocked by the quality of the car for the asking price. I came in the morning after they received it, before they'd even had a chance to detail it, and it already looked practically brand new. It's clear that they thoroughly vet the vehicles they sell and are selective about what they put on their lot. On top of the quality, their pricing is extremely competitive. This was the best deal I found anywhere in the country for the Chevy Bolt EV I was looking for. I had been about to purchase the same model from another dealership with significantly higher mileage for around the same price, so I'm incredibly grateful I happened to find East Bay Motorcars' listing. They were also kind enough to hold the car for me while I drove over, despite having several other people interested in it. Definitely check their inventory frequently because it seems like their cars sell quickly and after my experience, I can understand why. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Masud and Alex or with my new car. If you're looking for a dealership that offers great, high-quality vehicles at competitive prices , I highly recommend East Bay Motorcars. I'm so glad I found them I'll update my review in a few months after I've had a bit more time with the car, but for now I am extremely happy with my purchase!

The funny thing is, the customer service here is absolutely genuine. I took my CX-5 in for its first service and was greeted by my service advisor, Heather. She was super cheery and personable--she made conversation and immediately gave friend vibes. She's clearly been in the business for a while because she was confident, knowledgeable, and never once felt salesy. When my car was done, I went on my merry way. I got home and parked in the driveway like normal. I didn't leave again until just after 6 p.m. when I noticed an oil spot underneath my car. Obviously alarmed, I called the dealership knowing service had literally closed two minutes earlier. Someone in sales answered, listened to what happened, and actually walked over to the service department to see who was still there. That's how I got connected with Damon. Who, spoiler, is the service manager, yet never once took that credit. He just jumped in and handled business. Damon immediately apologized and had me set up with a loaner car. I'm not exaggerating--it coordinated everything in about 15 minutes. I drove my car down, picked up the loaner, and went back home. Seamless. Now, it was my decision to drive the car in, I didn't feel the leak was so bad it was inoperable to drive. Damon offered to have the car picked up and brought in, I declined. Heather called me first thing the next morning to apologize again and let me know they were sending someone out to clean the oil off my driveway. I'm sorry... what?! Who does that?! Dublin Mazda, that's who. After a thorough inspection (and cleaning because there was oil everywhere), they found the culprit: a faulty oil filter. And even if it had ended up being due to mechanic error, oh well, things happen. Heather then went out of her way to get me reunited with my car, even offering to deliver it to me. The entire service department went above and beyond. None of it felt forced or like they were just checking boxes. They handled everything graciously because they genuinely care. As someone who's been on both sides of the counter--having worked at a dealership for years and, more recently, having spent way too much time dealing with a GMC lemon--I can honestly say I've never experienced this level of customer service. Beyond grateful for the service department at Dublin Mazda. Thank you for putting your customers first.

But no one bothered to show me the car. Or any car. What I am upset is that you saw I was wearing a wedding ring and asked me if all my decision makers are here. Like I need my husband's permission to buy a car (I managed to buy the last 2 without help). I doubt you would have asked my husband that if he was at the dealership. Instead I finally talked to a woman (my service advisor) who finally cared enough to grab keys to show me the inside of a car because the men just chose to dismiss me. It wasn't even her job guys! Most of us like to poke our heads under the hood and pretend we know what's going on, but we usually don't. The next logical step is a repair shop, and many people default to the dealership because they think they can trust them more. In my experience, that's a mistake--dealerships often touch ten things, fix one, and charge you for everything. Luckily, I found Rich and his team. I recently bought a newer car with all the bells and whistles, and I was braced for a huge bill. Rich was incredibly professional, polite, and straightforward. I was actually in shock; he takes the time to educate you on the repair rather than just grabbing your keys and telling you he'll text you later. The estimate was a pleasant surprise, and better yet, there were no hidden fees at the end. The amount he quoted was exactly what I paid. They were on time, efficient, and had me back on the road in no time. It is such a relief to find this kind of service these days. It's nice to know you don't have to pull out a platinum card for a simple repair or an oil change. All the 5-star reviews you see here are 100% true. One quick tip: the shop can be a little tricky to find the first time, but trust your GPS! It will get you there, even if the turn looks a bit hidden. You cannot go wrong with this team!

As I researched, I appreciated that Rich always answered any questions I had in a timely fashion. Nothing was too small to answer. Once I decided upon his business, when I got there I was expecting him to just usher me in and get started. However, he took the time to check all four of the brakes with some sort of instrument, and then carefully asked me how I knew that I needed brakes. What?! I told him that prior to my mechanic retiring in 2023, he told me that I should expect to replace the rear brakes within a couple years or so. Then a few months ago, another mechanic who performed an oil change but also checked out the health of my vehicle, told me with some urgency that I should get my rear brakes replaced before I would have to do the rotors as well--and that they could take care of it for me for X amount of dollars. When I told Rich this information, he seemed skeptical. He actually didn't think that my brakes needed to be replaced at that time. What?! He asked me if any sensor in the car had alerted me to the brakes needing to be replaced. I told him no. He went on to explain how that sensor would work in my car. He actually did a LOT of explaining to me in general. I really appreciated it. Bottom line: He told me that my brakes would need to be replaced at some point in the near future, but they did not need to be replaced today. He said it was up to me if I wanted to do it today (since they would have to be done eventually), or if I just wanted to keep driving until the sensor came on. Honestly, I was shocked. Usually you expect someone to just take your money and not try to dissuade you. Truly, truly, shocked. Anywho, since I was there, I had him replace the rear brakes, and he had it completed in a couple of hours. He showed me my old brakes and explained exactly what he did and how worn down they were--though again, I still had time to drive with them. To say I was impressed with him and his integrity is an understatement. I would love to keep going to him, but he says he might be done working on Jaguars, because the dealers seem to be a li'l shady with pricing and other areas. : ( Well, if he continues to work on Jaguars, I will continue to be a customer!
