I'm so happy with the way the front yard turned out! I contacted 5 companies and Living Elements was the first to respond and come out to give me a quote. Some of them didn't bother responding and others had a wait time of over a month just for a quote. Scott did a great job working with me to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. He's was very fast to respond to any of my questions. Their team came out and finished the yard in 2 1/2 days. It was a mess and I didn't take any before photos because I didn't want proof of how bad it was. I will definitely be calling them again when I decide to redo the back yard. read more

Worst experience ever, I spoke to one guy who gave us the quote; however, he was rarely present when employees were working on the lawn. Lack of communication made things worse when they started putting plants in different places, blocked my neighbors driveway and trespassed on another neighbor's lawn. Izzy and the rest of the crew worked very hard to get the job done. At the end of each day the work areas were cleaned up. They were willing to come out, provide an estimate and work out the logistics of the distance to work. Meanwhile a local company finally returned my request and I am using them so it is not such a burden on LEL. I just wanted to write this review to show what high level of customer service the company has for immediate communications. We were very satisfied with the work Living Elements performed for us. Our job was rather specific, since we like to do some of the work ourselves, and they were perfectly willing to work with us on doing what we needed and not trying to push us into hiring them to do additional work. They worked flexibly around the rain storms and came back once things were reasonably dry. Luis, the foreman at our site, has a good working knowledge of irrigation work and had a good crew. Matt and Pedro came in to fix a botched job I received from a different company almost two years ago. They were able to fix a lot of the issues I had and enhanced it reusing some of the same material. Matt was super flexible, responsive, and made sure that my needs were met. Pedro was really skilled in everything that had to do with landscaping and made sure that his crew were on point. I had LEL fix/add/work on: artificial grass, flagstone with DG, damaged concrete, large fountain install, drip line with rock border and plants, electric outlet install for fountain, and retaining wall. Great team. I struggled with crabgrass and uneven soil for years until I just called it quits. Today, they just finished my backyard and I have a real live lawn. Plus a raised bed along one fence with a railroad tie border. They reworked my sprinkler system so that it actually works now. Matt was knowledgeable and friendly. Izzy is a true professional as well. They worked hard all day and when the finished for the day, they carefully cleaned up any stray soil etc. I can't think of a single thing they could have done better. My front yard was in dire state when I contacted Living Elements Landscape for a quote. Bill and Matt showed up on time and provided a detailed quote, walked me through designs they had in mind. Much of the follow-up discussions were done remotely. Bill diligently contacted me via email, WhatApp, Skype, FB IM etc to make sure my vision and his/his team's design were aligned. They delivered a front yard that has high curb appeal and of low water-usage. Now I just hope the monthly gardener will do their job properly, but that is another company for another review. Can't speak to their work but I can speak to them wasting people's time. I sent a message through yelp about a small job that I needed to have done. They told me they could be there on Friday at a certain time. I left work early to be at the appointment and when I got there the guy that showed up asked me "is this all, we have a $4k minimum and this won't be that much." I obviously wouldn't have set up an appointment and wasted my/his time if I would have known this in advance. read more

We just had our backyard installed by Living Elements, and they did a fantastic job! We called and asked if someone could come out to give us a quote, and Matt was able to come out the next day. He knew what he was doing and was able to quickly and accurately take measurements. Once we got the very reasonable quote, we decided to go ahead with the project and they were able to start less than a week later. James became our project manager, and he did an amazing job. He made himself available when we needed him, and was able to answer all of our questions in a very timely manner. The crew was also incredible! They were able to finish everything in 2 days! They were very nice and kept everything very clean. They worked so hard, and put in a beautiful backyard for us. When it was over James came by and did a final walk through to make sure we were happy with how it turned out. We are so glad we went with Living Elements. I selected living elements to replace my front lawn with synthetic turf and redo my drip irrigation system. Their bid was a few thousand less than established landscaping firms. We are extremely happy with the artificial turf that Living Elements installed. Our dog had previously destroyed the grass side yard she uses to do her business, just kept killing all the grass, even after we had replaced it with sod multiple times. Living Elements came out, gave us a very fair bid, answered all our questions, and even came back to drop off additional turf samples so we could decide. They showed up as scheduled and the crew was very polite and professional. They worked late in order to be able to complete it the next day as scheduled, always pleasant and polite even though they must have been exhausted. The crew even put in an extra drain for better maintenance of it and carefully cut the turf to follow the shape of each curved stone of the retaining wall on one side of it. Attention to detail like that was so nice to see and made a difference on the final result, which is beautiful. They cleaned everything up before they left each day, which I really appreciated so our dog would not get into anything. Scott made sure to come by multiple times to check that all was going well and make sure it looked great, which it did. It is so much easier to clean up after our dog now and now she likes to go lay on the turf and relax, so guess she is happy with it too! read more

Scott was very thoughtful about keeping within our budget, especially during the design phase. Izzy was the "go-to guy" for questions because of his vast knowledge and experience. The team at living elements is very professional and easy to work with. I've had contractors in the past doing various home repairs and upgrades that promise one thing but deliver another. Everything we asked for was done the way we wanted it, and if something wasn't quite right they made it right and were prompt about it. We had stamped custom color concrete installed which came out beautiful along with some new plants, trees, and irrigation. Going from a semi unusable eyesore of a backyard to what it is today is just amazing. It's a night and day difference. I wouldn't say the job was cheap, but you get what you pay for. Had 2 different representatives on 2 different occasions come out to talk to me about the landscaping work I was seeking to have done to my front lawn area. Both times they were just eager to leave as soon as they can and rushed me along as fast as they could while I was attempting to convey the scope of the work I was seeking. The 2nd representative was even more in a rush and wanted me to spray paint markings in the many locations of the front yard where a patio, walkway and numerous items were going in, so he can come back and do a estimate. I never painted anything because that would just be not to smart with the possibility that I may never get someone to do the job and all the markings on my lawn would still show. On May 30, 2022 I talked to the same representative via text and he asked me if I had spray painted the area and I said No I decided I better not paint lines until a contractor has been chosen and I have signed a contract with them. I don't want to have painted lines etc then some how I have no contractor found/proper or cost is too crazy for the job. We talked more about things I needed done for the job. We started out with some trepidation with an all-ivy front yard. We wanted something interesting and welcoming. After the ivy was out (quite a job), Bil and his crew were on board for many discussions and modifications. Worst landscaping company I've worked with. They managed to lie about the quality of service they were going to provide as well as cheat their way into having me pay more for the service. My plants are dying or have died and weeds are growing everywhere. The weed barrier provided does not provide a 25+ year protection as Bil had mentioned. The piping that was used for my drip systems are cracked because they left them exposed and not properly covered. Areas that they had prepped aren't even properly landscaped as well (as in no rock coverage, left barren). I have so many bald spots/uncovered areas because they decided to use the bare minimum rocks/mulch. Its embarassing when my house guests can point out these issues. I do not recommend as they do not take their time in ensuring a quality service is delivered. read more

Great job by these guys for a backyard that was previously being invaded by bamboo. I had decomposed granite and mulch replace a previously barren backyard that had been leveled for me by a gardener. It didn't take much time (few weeks) for that damn bamboo to start growing back after the gardeners were done. Bill and crew were able to fit me in this month and put some order into the backyard to this house I recently bought, one previously with a backyard full of dips and holes and bamboo to a nice blank slate. If I had more $$ I would have had more done, but they were able to work with the budget I had and even clean up my front yard and weeds going out of cracks in my driveway. Can't wait to do some gardening and entertain in my backyard this summer! read more

Honestly, I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but Living Elements exceeded our expectations so much, i just had to write one! We contacted Living Elements when we decided to remove our tired old landscape in the front yard and completely redo it removing all the grass, creating a flagstone walkway, retaining wall, etc. Living Elements was immediately responsive, sending Matt out to give an estimate right away. From there, a designer was engaged, and then the real work began! Matt was incredibly responsive, on the job site ensuring everything was going as planned each day, and communicated with us every step of the way....he even met us at Thompson's Building Materials to pick out flagstone. The crew arrived on time every day and worked hard on our yard for three weeks...they do very quality work! The project is completed and it is AWESOME! We love the results and the neighbors all do as well! I would highly recommend Living Elements..in fact, we are hiring them again to replace our driveway in the next few months. read more
