We were looking to do a major revision of the landscaping around our entire property and got bids from 4 landscapers. We provided a detailed design with specific plants to be located in specific areas of the property. The bids were almost double what we had expected. The lowest priced bidder wanted us to be responsible if they damaged our property or any structures. That was not acceptable to us. We selected Living Elements Landscape (LEL) that was in the middle of the other 3 bids. It is important to note that the 3 bids were clustered close together in price, so it was not that anyone was charging too much. After the project began and we started to see what they were doing, it was clear that we underestimated how much work there was to do. We have been very pleased with the outcome and the path that led us here. The entire team communicates well, is knowledgeable about and skilled in their craft, and is passionate about serving the customer. We had lighting installed and the first night it would turn on for 2 minutes, then off. Then the cycle would repeat. We turned it off that night and fortunately when LEL came out to examine the issue it was an easy fix. A plant had not yet been planted so the light would shine on the sensor, causing it to think it was daylight and turn off the light. The light would then come on because it was dark. The sensor would see the light and think it was day. A small adjustment fixed the issue. We had a very small number of similar minor issues, but in a project this large, they were insignificant and addressed quickly. What was far more important was that everyone was easy to work with. We broke the project up into segments to ensure that the plants we wanted were seasonally available. I cannot imagine using another landscaping team for any future projects, even ones smaller than this. Breaking the project up allowed us to see how they manage smaller projects, which they did very efficiently in just a few hours. Highly recommended. read more

Hiring Living Elements for our backyard project was one of the best decisions that we had made for our house. We received multiple quotes from different landscaping companies, but what made us chose Living Elements over the other companies was not only because of their reasonable prices, but also because of their project manager, Firas. Firas was awesome! Firas was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and professional. He was very responsive and was willing to answer questions even if it was late at night. He took into account my concerns and opinions, but also gave me his expert advice. We were very glad he was our project manager. We gave them a design that we wanted done for our backyard, and they really delivered. They were able to start our project the following week after our consultation appointment, and were able to finish the initial landscaping portion of the project in less than 2 weeks. Every worker that I spoke with had been amazing. The foreman, Izzy, was very knowledgeable and experienced. He mapped out and went into detail exactly what I should expect the design to look like. All the landscaping crew were very hard workers, especially Nico and Freddie. Our other project manager, Jon, had been very nice and patient with me with all my questions and inquiries. Throughout the whole project, they always made sure I was happy with the results before they finish up. If there was something I wanted changed or fixed, they were always willing to do it even if it meant more work for them. I reached out to Living Elements Lamdscaping Roughly 2 1/2 weeks ago within that timeframe I had had other people give me estimates on the work that I was looking to have done. I then spoke with Firas at Living Elements Lamdscaping who their best estimate pricing which blew the other companies I was dealing with out of the water. I am used to getting decent service and work when pricing is a little lower. what these guys have done has blown my mind wide-open in terms of how great they work is based on the design I laid out, the items the timeframe was less than a week with a weekend involved. Following up after was also a good touch. I would give this company 10 stars with what they made my ugly backyard look like now thank you so much for making my backyard a more enjoyable space to live in and play with our new puppy. If you have the chance to get Izzy on your project, here's by far one of the best landscape designers I have ever seen. He made things work that initially we thought wouldn't. Seem that was supposed to potentially peer look almost as if it was part of the actual synthetic grass. His attention to detail and his ability to use my landscape ideas that I was looking for, and put them to work for the yard has made me a believer in his quality of work and living elements. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking to do yardwork, especially when it comes to Stress, high stress designing of a yard. And my backyard is absolutely stunning!From the first contact, I had a very friendly first call to set up my initial consultation. When Firas came out, I knew right away that he knew what he was talking about and that he was enthusiastic about making sure that I had the exact yard that I wanted. Firas sent me a detailed estimate and then followed up with a phone call to discuss it and answer all my questions. He came back out for a second meeting and brought Victor, who would be the foreman on my job if I opted to sign with LEL. The cost for everything I wanted done was reasonable relative to two other quotes I had received. I was given an expected start date and an estimated length of time that the project would take. Victor and his crew started several days EARLIER than projected (hooray!) and it was done in half the time that I expected. Living Elements Landscaping completed a project for me in July. The project involved brickwork, masonry, cement work, Fencing, and landscaping. They did excellent work, especially when they rebuilt the corners of my raised brick planters that had been shattered by tree roots. The did nice work replacing 24 feet of sidewalk in my side yard, especially where it connected with a flagstone walkway they built in the front yard. They replaced 160 feet of chainlink fence with redwood, after installing a masonry footer for the fence. This required removing an old cement footing that had deteriorated over the decades and realigning some of the existing metal poles. My neighbor and I are really happy with the results. The have a landscaping designer who is a pleasure to work with. She has lots of good ideas and is also open to suggestions from me. All the new landscaping uses drip irrigation which they tied into my existing sprinkler systems. At one point we realized there was a communication error over part of the project and they went out of their way to make things right. They deserve a lot of credit for that. I am very happy with Living Elements Landscaping and the work they did. I would definitely hire them again. read more

In our front yard, we had new artificial turf/grass; drip system, electrical system for automatic timer, install more rock, and trimmed plants. In the backyard, removal of old grass, tree roots, tree stumps. Installed new sod grass, ground cover, mulch for plant beds, bender borders, sprinkler system, electrical for automatic timers and level /graded side yard and backyard. First person of contact Matt was friendly and knowledgeable and explained clearly options and processes. Project manager Faras , excellent with communication and accommodating to our schedules and weather conditions availability. Faras was friendly, great customer service and listened to our requests. He always let us know status of project and eta crew was starting depending on materials,weather and work to be done. We purchased a new home last year and contacted multiple firms to understand their process and fees and Living Elements Landscaping was the only one who had a process that made sense. Firas responded to my request to bid in under 30 minutes and sent Yasmine (one of their Project Managers) to my home the next day to review our plans and discuss options. We received a very thorough quote in less than 48 hours which included a schedule (which they adhered to perfectly!). The were always on time and usually brought two crews and two trucks to maximize their efficiency. Eric, Ephram and Salvador were extremely professional and performed very high quality work, the only delays were caused by material availability. I have worked in commercial construction project management for almost 40 years and this company followed all of the rules to insure success! We give Landscaping a five star rating because: The staff was 100% professional. Russ and Victor maintained updated communications throughout the project. We are very satisfied with the new concrete installed after they removed the old raising and cracked patio. They cared enough to make us satisfied that they had us place tape on each bamboo for them to remove. Living Elements left the project site clean and repaired of all equipment side effects. They placed new sod on the lawn to repair equipment tracks and without question repaired stucco that had minor marks to name two. Importantly the site was cleared of all debris from the removal of bamboo and all of its leaves left after removal. They hosed down the walkways and driveways so one would not know a project had occurred. All staff were courteous and respectful. After making a few calls and not hearing back from many, I did book an estimator with this company to come to check out the front and backyard projects we had prepared to landscape. The estimator came on time but spent very little time listening to our idea before quickly showing little interest. He had no actual ideas versus what seemed to me a man who just came out gauge how much we were willing to spend so he could prioritize his company's agenda. He told us someone would follow up and come out to design our projects. Nothing. Wasn;t surprised either by the way he left it. I wasn't impressed. It's a shame on their behalf because we found another independent landscape contractor who is able to do it for a much better rate. We recently worked with Living Elements Landscape on a week-long project that turned out great. We spoke with multiple landscape companies and their price was the most reasonable for the work we wanted completed. They installed new fescue sod and a walkway, trimmed palms trees and branches, cleared out a section of our yard and leveled the dirt, fixed sprinklers, redid our front planter and planted a few larger plants around the yard. We made a number of last minute additions to the project and everything was completed in a timely manner. They even took care of a few things around the yard as a courtesy to us. I hired Matt for my landscape renovation . I wanted a water efficient- drought tolerant backyard and they did an excellent job in dojng that. Everyday they come to work on time and finished the whole project in just 6 business days . Their work was very neat and didn't leave a single area undone .
