Time has gotten away from us and we have not yet given a review on yelp, google or facebook regarding the fabulous design and implementation that Matt came up with for us. We have never done a review on these sights before. I have also attached some images - the lighting is not so good and they do not show how nice the landscaping! We are very pleased and ecstatic with the design and implementation of the landscaping that Living Elements Landscaping came up with for the lot around our home. Absolutely love it. Every one of our friends and relatives that have seen it love it as well and all have had nothing but great things to say. We have been spending an inordinate amount of time outside enjoying our surroundings because we are enjoying it so much. Matt did an awesome job listening to what we wanted and came up with a fabulous design. We wanted a pathway that went from the patio to the shed; plants that had lots of fragrance and color; other plants that attracted humming birds; accent lights and small to medium size trees that will be colorful in the fall. Matt also made some great made suggestions such as including a boulder that is a water fountain with an accent light and which substrates to use on the path. The design was laid out for us using the plants while they were still potted with lines showing the shape and location of the path as well as the location of the mulch and rock for us to approve prior to the work being done. So we were able to fine tune the location of each plant before they were planted as well as the other elements of the design. Once we gave our approval the work was done very quickly and very professionally. Everything was completed in just a couple of days! It was amazing. As mentioned we are ecstatic with the end result. It has only been a few months and humming birds are already daily visitors and many of the plants are already maturing and showing off their color and fragrance. All of the work was done in the middle of summer and despite how hot the summer has been almost every plant survived. The couple that didn't will be replaced by Matt in the fall. I was holding off reviewing our project until we allowed some time to go by and it was tested by the elements. What a test we had! Our project involved a french drain, additional yard drainage, redoing the concrete in our backyard and driveway, with some added landscaping in the form of rocks and drought tolerant plants. The main component was the french drain, because without it our newly minted former detached garage now office/studio would have flooded. I'm happy to report that with all the crazy rain we had recently, we experienced zero flooding and the french drain and the rest of the drainage system Living Elements installed have worked very well. Overall, Matt, Firas, and Victor were easy to work with and very accessible via phone/text and emails. We had a few communication hiccups, and those were resolved. We have a few thin cracks in the driveway, and Matt assured us that if they get larger, they will redo the driveway. I can't speak on their work itself since I couldn't get a quote on the cost of the job like I was promised when a representative came out to the house. This review was based on their average customer service. Easy to set up an appointment and schedule a date to meet (1 star) and for coming out to the appointment on time (1star) but beyond that, silence and crickets. If I can't get a return call with a quote for the job how can I trust that they will come out on time to do the actual work on the house. They even have a copy of the landscape plans to hopefully make it easier to give me an estimate but maybe it was too confusing. Came out 7/1 to view the site. Its 7/29 and 4 weeks later still no call back or quote on the job. Luckily I found someone else to do the job even if I have to wait until later this year to have it completed. read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Worst experience imaginable. Save yourself the headache and call another company. My job was not done correctly so it had to be redone. They had to replace lawn and 2 sections of concrete that was not done correctly the stamping was terrible.. Within 1 month my entire lawn and rock/mulch area was full of weeds. They didn't do what they said so they had to redo it. Concrete looked terrible so it was redone. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. From the salesperson to the owner. They both wanted to talk about the profit from this job. The profit is not my concern. My concern is that my yard is done properly. They ghosted me multiple times including right now. They never finished the job I was supposed to have a walk-through and a sign off, that was two months ago. Nobody ever contacted me nor did they even complete the job. Even the owner didn't seem to care. He was more concerned about his profit and like I said that's not my concern.. judging by the number of Modelo cans left in my yard every day i'm thinking less beer drinking and more paying attention to the plans for the yard. Also, they shorted me plants and trees that took forever to get put in. I told them the fence had to be done in the same day because my neighbor has 2 pit bulls. They said no problem, it took 6 days to do the fence. The foreman even told me he would personally be there all day to make sure the fence got done. He would even drive to the Bay Area if needed to get fence boards. I had to call him when I got home to ask him why the fence wasn't done he had no idea because he was not there like he said he would be. They put in dead plants and said they were just in shock, i told them I didn't pay for dead looking plants. The pergola was a nightmare. It was ordered before we talked and it's not what I wanted but they will not do anything about it. Now I've paid for a pergola I don't like. I was told they would be using base plates they did not. One heavy wind and it would have come down. They had to come back and put in base plates. The pergola company argued with me that it wouldn't make a difference. The thing is solid now and doesn't move. They just didn't want to do the work. Again if it was done correctly to begin with it would not have been an issue. The company they sub out to for pergolas and patio covers is a joke. If you have any questions or want to see pictures, feel free to contact me through Yelp I will send you some. The only good thing about this company is their designer Gina she was fantastic. Take her design and go to another company with it. Again, save yourself a headache and call a different company. There is no communication. I don't know how many time I was told someone would be out and no one ever showed. As I said, don't have to care about the quality of work if they don't have to cover their mistakes. 2 months after front yard landscaping was done I'm now getting a area that turning brown and grass growing right through the weed barrier area. I contacted the man who came out who didn't reply until my third message about calling the office who said, you have no warranty because I didn't purchase their $1700 sprinkler system. I have my own sprinkler and timer and there is no problem with the watering. He said he could drop off a few roles of sod for you to install, which never came. The area that is dying was all sand so i assume they didn't put enough top soil there for the grass to thrive. Be warned if you cant afford their sprinkler system like myself they don't have to care about their work afterwards. Their ad of a 1 year warranty is for only those who purchases a sprinkler system even though their ad doesn't say that nor their receipt. read more

Once again Living Elements is not getting what they did wrong. I had a valve that controlled water to the area on the other side of the driveway, it may have been the wrong type but it worked and would water that area. They removed the valve without asking or telling me, leaving me with no way to use the drip system that was already in place and working before they removed the valve. read more

Updates after one year warranty. The things they tried to fix a year ago are falling apart again. The work quality is not good as they claimed to be. Just for your information on this company. I am going to keep this short cause the list is too long to list. The bottom line is that The Living Elements Landscape workmanship will be like 5/10 cause I had them come back fixing their work several times. If I had to do it all over again, I would not even waste my time with this Living Element Landscape cause of all the headaches that I had to deal with Bilal (Bill). We had deep, 3 feet long cracks in the walkway they installed two months ago. Although I don't think this much cracking this soon is "normal" like we were told, LE sent out a team to do repairs this weekend.
