What a NIGHTMARE!! On 1/17/19 I purchased a Stearns & Foster Firm Pillow Top Queen Mattress, I paid $1,990.91. My delivery was scheduled for the following day between the hours of 8am - 3pm. Immediately after my mattress was delivered I began to smell a very strong chemical order. Unfamiliar with "Off Gassing" I wasn't sure if the smell was from the plastic covering or the mattress itself, so I decided to let it air out. I left the mattress uncovered in a spare room for several days, with no luck the odor was still very strong. Five days later on 1/23/19 I noticed the trim on the pillow top was starting to come undone. I immediately took photos and contacted the store to notify them of the issue. I was instructed to fill out a form online and include the photos I had taken of the tear. An appointment was made to have someone come out to inspect the mattress on 2/5/19 between the hours of 10am - 2pm. The inspection of the mattress was done as well as an inspection of the bed frame to ensure I had the correct bed frame needed for this mattress. Once the inspection was done, I was told I would hear back from Living Spaces in regard to the exchange of the matttess. On 2/14/19 I contacted Living Spaces to follow up on the inspection since I hadn't heard from them since the inspection on 2/5/19. I was told that the inspection report was not complete yet and would be contacted as soon as it was done. I was finally contacted on 3/21/19 and told my mattress would be exchanged, however the mattress I had purchased was discontinued and I would have to come in and pick out another mattress. On 3/21/19 I went to Living Spaces to pick out a new mattress, another Stearns & Foster Plush Queen Pillow Top, I paid $2,089.91 for this one, which was more expensive than the previous one. I was also told to come in the following day to smell the mattress, since the first one had a horrible odor for several weeks. My new mattress was scheduled for delivery 3/26/19. My new mattress arrived on 3/26/19 with a slight odor for several days. I kept the mattress for the 120 trial period in hopes my body would adjust to the mattress, but had no luck and decided to return it. The constant back pain every morning was unbearable. Now this is where this nightmare becomes worse. A return was processed for the mattress and a pick up was scheduled for 7/16/19. Under Living Spaces refund policy, once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be made within 48 hours and the refund will be issued in SAME METHOD OF PAYMENT THAT WAS USED IN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE. ON 7/19/19 I called Living Spaces to follow up on my refund since I hadn't received my refund yet and had purchased the mattress with my debit card. I was told that my refund had been processed and to give it a few more days to post. On 7/23/19 I phoned Living Spaces again, it has now been a week since my mattress was picked up. I was told that my refund had NOT been processed, it was incorrectly put in as a store credit and would have to wait ANOTHER 7 to 10 days for a CHECK to be mailed out to me. Wait a minute!!! I paid with my debit card and your policy clearly states the refund is given in the method the order was placed within 48 hours. It's been 7 days and you want me to wait another 7 to 10 days!! I explain to the person on the phone that I have been sleeping on the sofa for a week now and need my refund to purchase another mattress. An apology was given, but was told I can't help you and you have to wait. I speak to a manager later in the day and was told the best they could do is cut me a check 3 days later that can be picked up at the store. On Friday 7/26/19, 10 days since the mattress has been picked up, I call the store to confirm the check is there to be picked up. I am told it is, so I drive to the store to find out the check is not there!! I immediately get on the phone and call corporate and am now being told there is nothing they can do and I now have to wait till 7/31/19 for them to be able to cut a check!! By this point I am extremely pissed off and I demand my money immediately. The person on the phone tells me she will call me back in 20 to 30 minutes and to wait in the store. I refuse to hang up and sit on hold. During this time, a manager at the store tells me she is going upstairs to see if they can cut me a check. 15 minutes later she came back down with a check in hand. BUYERS BEWARE!! Review the other reviews made as well as mine, I wish I had prior to purchasing anything from this store. The service I received was horrifying, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get competent help. Also, you have to pay a $199 restocking fee. With all of the trouble I had to go through since the initial order placed, the least Living Spaces could do is REFUND the $199 fee they IMMEDIATELY took while making me jump through hoops to get a refund that took 11 days instead of the 48 hours their policy guarantees!! read more

I shopped online then went to this store even though the huntington beach store is closer. I love the Alton cherry dresser and night table I purchased. I wanted the matching platform bed which is out of stock. The employees are not on commission. No hard sell. I spent over $1000 'on overpriced veneer furniture but I liked it. Before I paid, I asked if I could have a complimentary wood furniture care kit which they regularly sell for $19. Not much to ask for. The saleswoman and manager both refused. I want to purchase a sleeper sofa for my guests but will buy elsewhere. Wayfair and Amazon have bigger selections and lower prices. read more

Completely disappointed at the home "CareFree"warranty. After having my table and chairs for a few years I finally needed to make a claim, I started my claim on I believe March 20 , it took them three months not even to get back to me, for me to follow up now in June on my claim for them to tell me that it was denied, Because it was outside of the 30 days I needed to make the claim. Not that they were even servicing at the time because of Covid restrictions. I made a second claim for additional issues and that too was denied, Claimed it had to do with the first claim but when I loose chair then, now is completely broken, I considered it a new issue and there was a lot more nicks/ scratches on the table now. I then appeal the denial, again that was Denied Absolutely nothing was covered under my 5 Years "CareFree" warranty. I ordered two sofas on September 8th 2023. On September 14 2023 I received only one sofa. The manager that goes by the name of Craig lied to me by saying that I would receive both sofa's within 3 weeks. It is now October 4 2023 and I haven't received the other sofa. This review is solely based on the customer service line for Living Spaces not the store. We visited the Living Spaces in LaMirada. Service was friendly and you don't feel overwhelmed with the staff following your every move. There was a mistake on our order and we tried to resolve 45 minutes after we left the store. There is no phone number to get in touch with the actual store so you have to go through customer service line which is HORRIBLE!!! They were no help and just kept telling us we need to pay a 10% cancellation fee but all I wanted to do was get another couch that was more expensive. It was a hassle with trying to change it with them as they just wanted my money! Finally I kept demanding to talk to a supervisor which was many times declined by the agent. I finally told her I needed to talk to someone in the actual store to help me. (I think I finally frustrated her) and she sent an email to the store. The store finally contacted me within a few hours and I paid the difference for the other more expensive couch I wanted without cancellation or restocking of the other item that never left the warehouse house. After my deepest, darkest fear of receiving a 4th SILVA LAF CHAISE was confirmed by talking to a representative, I decided to cut my loses and begin the returns processes. How dare I expect the returns process to be anything less enjoyable than getting repeatedly punched in the face. The scheduled pick up was for Tuesday, and I received the route notification the day prior. I found it strange that only 1 of the 2 SILVA LAF CHAISE was scheduled for pick up. So, I called and spoke to a "supervisor", who had confirmed that both items were to be picked up the following day (Tuesday). I felt real progress was made between Living Space and I. I thought maybe they were turning a new leaf, but I was still slightly skeptical. I knew treachery was afoot and that my desperate plea to have the couches picked up was completely unheard after our hour long conversation. The red flag was that the supervisor started every sentence with "I understand", even to questions. In my personal experience, only people that do not understand do this. On the day of the scheduled pickup I decided to confirm that they were coming in the mentioned timeframe (9:45am-12:45am). After another hour-long phone session, I was reassured by a different "supervisor" that the pickup was going to happen and both items were being picked up, THAT DAY. I felt such joy that the two SILVA LAF CHAISE were finally going to be taken out of my sight and personal space. I felt less guilty about having to use PTO to be available for the pickup, as I waited peeking through the blinds for a sign of a truck pulling up. Well, after the lapse of the estimated time window, no one showed up. Queue the hour-long phone session with a supervisor. I was told that the logistics company had removed me from their routing. I was never informed about this, even after having just confirmed less than 5 hours ago with a "supervisor" that they were sure to be picked up today. This was the third PTO day I had wasted on this entire 3-week ordeal. Well, after having reschedule a pickup to a more accommodating day, there was still a big mix-up. The logistics company was only notified of a single SILVA LAF CHAISE to be picked up. After speaking to the drivers dispatcher, they were able to have another truck pick-up the second SILVA LAF CHAISE , that same day. The original 3-hour windows just turned into 7-hours. Another wasted day. Well they did finally end up picking up both SILVA LAF CHAISE. I will have to save my strength and mental power for the 3 weeklong fiasco of a series of hour long phones calls, that is sure to come to actually receive the funds into my account. I go out of my way every single day to work this terrible experience into any conversation I can, in hopes of dissuading anyone from ever shopping at Living Spaces. The plan is to cause the company to lose out on sales that is equivalent to the; 3 days of PTO, 8+ hours of phone conversions, and pain of realizing I'll have to buy a, Scion xB shaped couch, from Ikea. I've gone to the extent of not letting anyone into my couchless home, if they do not share the same disgust for Living Spaces as I do. Fortunately for my guest, nearly everyone has had the same disgusting experience with this company. To top this experience off, A Living Space representative has responded with a completely useless, out of the box, templated message, that offers absolutely nothing to appease anything I've said. This goes to show that it is not only the customer service representatives, but pretty much at every level of this company that do not care about you. After numerous messages left we received a call from Christi at the La Mirada store approximately 8:30pm. She was extremely considerate and offered assistance. She ensured us that the matter would be taken care of and that we could return the next day and order the mattress. She did apologize for the employee's behavior. We thanked her for getting back to us. We returned to the store on Saturday morning and met Christi. The transaction took all of 5 minutes. I've called back and all they could tell me is that my refund is still pending. What I don't understand is, I purchased both sofas in one transaction. They refunded me for one sofa two days after the return. Why the separate refunds? I'm still without sofas and am over Living Spaces and their BS. The girls I spoke with were so short with me that I'm starting to feel like it's deliberate. They weren't even apologetic. Absolutely horrible service all the way around! COMPLAINT: We are in a battle with LS, seeking a full refund for orders placed in August 2020. We ordered the Footboard Panel Bed, Rails Panel Bed, Nightstand and Chest of Drawers. I made a $1,355.39 purchase June 8, 2020. My purchase included a sofa with a reversible chase, "white glove delivery", and a $149.25 "care free" protection plan. I was told the chosen piece on display wouldn't be available for delivery until June 23, 2020, but my purchase would be set as estimated delivery in case it came sooner. The item did not come sooner, as I expected due to the current world events, but it did not come on the June 23rd either. On June 23rd I called the La Mirada location to inquire about my purchase. The representative told me the truck with the items had arrived but it was likely my purchase would not be inventoried until the end of day June 23rd or June 24th. So I waited, because things happen. Today, June 25th, I called to follow up as the online tracking tool said my item was still unavailable. I waited 55minutes for a representative to answer the phone and tell me that I was misinformed and my purchase would not be available until August 5, 2020. Mind you, I was promised the complete order (table and custom couches) before Thanksgiving. I had to reach out for an order status the Friday before Thanksgiving, and your company was holding on to part of my order (table) for delivery because you wanted to deliver everything together. The rep offered to deliver the table Monday and that went smoothly, then gave me a new date that the customer couches would be ready on 11/27. I reached out again on 12/5, now the new rep is saying it is now showing completion on 12/13. To be delivered between 12/27 - 1/10. I bought multiple chairs from living Spaces in La Mirada period. After talking to the sales person. I ended up buying a warranty for both chairs with damage production for accidental damage. I submitted a claim the other day, and I was told that accidental damage is not covered. It's an absolute scam, and I'm completely disappointed in living spaces and will no longer return. I ordered a dining set from Living Spaces, and it was delivered with a broken dining table. I get a replacement, the second table is broken. They finally bring me a third table after waiting a whole month, and now their delivery team refused to haul away the second broken table, which is now just a big slab of wood because they used the legs from the older table with the new, 3rd table. Their internal incompetence has now fallen on me after one: paying for an expensive set, and two: paying for a delivery option. After speaking with customer service, they refuse to do anything about it, so now I have to pay someone else to come haul it away. Meanwhile a massive slab of wood sits in my living room. I had furniture delivered August 12th. They chipped the headboard and continued to install it. They told me they weren't supposed to go over the balcony with the furniture, but they did and chipped the paint. He told me don't worry, just call on Monday and they'll give a discount or you can request to have someone come fix it. I didn't want them to have to travel so far again(OVER 200 miles), so I called August 15th; they offered 20% or to have someone come fix it, but also the drawer wasn't on track and it's falling apart - this is the CARSON CAPTAINS BED - One side with the three drawers, the other side with 6 drawers. I told customer service that I would talk to my contractor because we just remodeled our home and call them back. He said he would notate in the file about the damage, etc. I called back today, Aug 25, to discuss the damages and now in addition the footboard screws have come completely out of the bed and it's ready to just fall over. The woman I spoke with said, sorry that she couldn't help me because it's been 7 days. They will not give a discount and I have to turn it in as a warranty claim. Now I have a bed that the drawers tracks are falling off, the head board wood is splintering and the footboard is such horrible quality the screw made the wood (??) splinter and is now not attached. I tried to take the drawer off the tracks so that I could see inside, possibly how to fix the track and make the drawer go in smoothly. The supports are literally just stapled into the side of the bed frame and is completely coming apart there too! The lady was completely rude! The delivery guys told me "furniture just isn't what it used to be," but I still paid $3,786.34 including white glove delivery for this cheaply put together, light weight wood bed. The description had good reviews, it said it was SOLID US Alder Wood. And I have stucco to fix on the outside of my house from the way they brought the bed into the house now too. I will not pay for them to fix my bed, this is absolute crap - make sure you read their contract. They're a large scale company and do not care about repeat business. They just want to make the sale and don't care. I will follow up on this after they call me in three days, but I should have known better than to make a purchase like this online, anything that is too good to be true - there's a reason why. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE!! HORRIBLE SERVICE - There are a ton of loopholes in their warranty, they're just out for the $$$. It says for the warranty; $99 for the technician, then $50/hour, and $99 to travel. They're going to make more money on the piece of trash they sold me and then charge me more? I'm fuming!! And I did call within 7 days. And how is it my fault they built a piece of crap - that should all be there responsibility- they list in their Warranty Coverage of what is NOT covered: "Damage occurring during or arising from delivery." We purchased a sectional and warranty 4 years ago. The salesperson told us we could wash the slipcovers. I washed them on delicate in cold water and one of the zippers broke. We also have a fray spot on one of the covers. I filed a claim and it was denied because we washed the covers so nothing is covered under the warranty. What a scam! After only 4 years the couch cushions are lumpy and the fabric is pilling and will have to be replaced soon. Avoid this place! read more

We bought a mattress from there. About five years ago and needed to do a warranty on the mattress. So I called them and had the warranty. People come out after paying ninety dollar fee and the jerk would not take any pictures of the problem. He just took pictures of other things at the wrong end of the bed. So they did not warranty it. I'm never buying anything from there again.And I will tell other people the same thing not to buy from them. read more
