This is my favorite pizza place in town. This establishment is cash only and BYOB. You can use the ATM at the 7-eleven across the corner. I have tried the supreme pizza and the meatlover pizza and both are delicious. A slice of their black forest cheesecake is wonderful. The lunch specials are a great value. I am born and raised in a Chicago. So delicious pizza is a must-find whereever I live. Being new to Texas, I like to look at reviews before trying. I came across this place and really read the reviews and decided to try. I didn't call ahead, I walked in and placed my order for carry-out. There is a bench in there where you can sit. It's cozy inside. I ordered garlic bread with cheese. As well as a large pepperoni pizza with half pineapple. I paid cash(only option, which isn't a deal breaker.) Prices are reasonable. When I order half of any ingredient at other pizza places, I am always charged the pull price for the ingredient. However, at Lizzano's, I was charged half the price of the ingredient. I thought that was awesome! I waited all of 15 minutes before getting my food. She was friendly when placing my order and friendly when giving me my order. I drove the 10 minutes home and surprised my husband with food. We first started with the cheesy garlic bread. It came with some marinara sauce for dipping. It was delicious! The added sauce was a bonus. I've been given cheesy garlic bread from other pizza places without getting sauce. So getting some definitely made me smile. The pizza! The half pineapple was for me. I am always nervous to try pineapple from places because of how little they use or they put huge chunks and don't spread it out. But I decided to give it a go. Glad I did! It was diced how I like it and spread throughout the pizza. The pizza was greasy, which to my husband and I, we loved it! It's pizza! We know it's unhealthy so why complain about the grease. We know what we signed up for. The crust had a little bit of thickness to it which we both loved! I ate 2 slices, (1 slice fully and the second sliced I couldn't finish the crust) while my husband finished 3 slices and the crust from mine. It was delicious! All around a really good pizza! The owner and head pizza chef at this tiny jewel of an establishment is straight from Rome. It's a romantic concept; a boy from Italy bringing his knowledge and skills to our area and passing on the culinary tradition to his children. Making phenomenal Italian dishes and pizza runs through the blood of this family, and their hard work and warmth is easily distinguishable. This is a BYOB and cash-only restaurant, but never fear, there is an ATM just a stone's throw away in case you forgot your bills! If you check out Lizzano's website you'll see a thorough explanation of why they've chosen to be cash only. They "refuse to pass on to their customers the skyrocketing costs of credit card processing fees." So put a twenty in your pocket (which is more than enough), bring a bottle of vino, and enjoy amazing food for surprisingly low prices. My favorite item here? Ahhh, the tomato basil soup. It's perfect. So simple. It's scorching hot and ripe and robust. It's a given that the pizza is superb; their claim to fame. Each is hand-tossed and in bloom with colorful, earthy toppings. The Greek Salad comes with an incredible basil dressing that is so excellent and distinctive I wonder why it's not sold in jars on the side, and if you're wanting something a bit different, try an entree like the Chicken Jerusalem or the seafood special. The mussels are bathed in a lemony butter and the catch of the day is always fresh and bright. Plus, Lizzano's has a garden around back where they grow the herbs that dust every dish. Hungry yet? Calamari was perfectly breaded and seasoned, nice fresh taste. The salads were huge and full of flavor. The house dressing was amazing. The pizza was overflowed with fresh toppings and cheese. 2.5 stars. First, let me say that regardless of the food, this place has basically nonexistent air conditioning. When it's 92 and humid outside, you sweat a ton in this little place. I don't think I could ever eat here again during the warmer months of the year. I deducted a full star for that issue. It was HOT in there. The free bread they provide was piping hot, but bland, nothing to get excited about (and with the hot climate inside, extra hot food just improved my sauna experience). The dipping sauce would be better if it included some EVOO instead of just vinegars with the rosemary - it's too tangy and thin. The cheese bread appetizer was good - the cheese was tasty. The marinara sauce was okay, but could have been better. The pizza was good, with a decent crust. I wouldn't say it's among the best pizzas I've ever had, but seemed pretty solid. read more

This is a cute little mom and pop Italian joint located pretty close hwy 360. They have an awesome authentic Italian menu and some pretty to die for cannolis on the dessert menu. It is EXTREMELY informal, family friendly and the staff tries to make room for pretty much everyone, no matter how large your group!. They've got their same regulars who frequent the place (my family being one of them) and we are never disappointed. Lovely Italian opera serenades us each time we visit, while we sip on our BYOB beverages, and the young but helpful staff (high school age perhaps) take good care of us. The pizza are huge and the greek salad is delish! They do close pretty early though, so keep on eye on their hours of operation!
