We had your typical wood and lattice patio cover that had seen better days and we wanted to replace it with something more sun and rain resistant. While asking around for recommendations we were given Ralph Trajo's name and contact information. Ralph came out and worked with us to get what we wanted for this project. His timelines, installation explanation and final results were spot on. I've even had subsequent contact with Ralph to get advice on accessories I wanted to add such as trim for the posts and shading on certain areas. He's always been prompt to respond with sound advice. Our new patio from LJ Hausner Construction is awesome!! Why Hausner? We initially wanted to build a wood cover with a corrugated roof, but after months of searching for a team to construct our planned structure, we became very frustrated. We found Ralph Trejo, a sales rep from Hausner Construction, through a friend who highly recommended that we ask him for a quote on an aluminum patio cover. After extolling all the attributes of how aluminum has a better finished result, our friend personally vouched for Ralph and his low-key sales presentation, giving him a chance to "change our minds." Ralph was such an authentic person, and he was able to describe and show us how nice these aluminum covers were without using pressure or typical sales tactics. The quote was amazingly fair and -- fast forward to today -- we now absolutely love our custom patio cover! As for the process, it became clear right away that Ralph was right about how smoothly it would go. A very polite tech came out and double checked the measurements, there was a 6 week timeframe to get the materials ready, and the team that installed the patio had done hundreds of these and would work quickly, getting the job completed in 2 days!! The only thing we had to provide was the fan, which we got on Amazon for just a few hundred dollars. All these things together exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be prouder of our new outdoor "room." We highly recommend both LJ Hausner Construction and Ralph - they will do a great job at a fair price.

Hausner did my neighbor's patio cover and we liked the way it looked more than what many other neighbors had done so I reached out to them. From the start I was really impressed with Brent who not only was quick in response but was a friendly professional throughout. Even confirmed his appointment time day of. Brent came to our house and listened to what we had in mind but also gave some good suggestions based on his extensive knowledge. The whole experience I will say was overall great but not flawless. When the team came to install, they discovered the factory had mismeasured some pieces BUT they resolved it *the same night* and were back the next day to install. Things can happen and how a company responds shows you how they really are so Hausner did a great job. Brent also followed up after to make sure it was a good experience for us. Even "as a courtesy" (as their office pointed out haha), they had someone come and make an adjustment to our lights that we could not figure out ourselves. Would happily refer this company to anyone. The cover has really transformed our backyard and we love it.

Called Hausner for a second patio cover on an ADU, about a year after they installed one on the main house. The first cover was beautiful, and easy from start to finish, so calling Hausner for the second one was a no brainer. We were fortunate to have Ralph Trejo come out again. I met with a representative from Hausner construction at the Del Mar Fair over the summer. I requested they give me a quote on a patio cover and I was so impressed with Brent's professionalism that I hired them immediately. The process was smooth from start to finish. Timelines were clearly established at the start so there were no surprises. Brent worked worked with me to design a patio cover that worked with my house, my vision and complied with my HOA guidelines. The installation crew was fantastic. They identified damage to one of the beams and replaced it before installation. I was really impressed that the team took great care to clean up after themselves as they worked. They even hauled away dirt they dug up when they installed the posts. My neighbor texted me the day after installation to tell me she loved the patio cover and wants to get one too. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend this company.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work on my insulated patio cover. I interviewed about five different companies, and the last company interviewed was Hausner. We met with Brent Santos, who was very professional, knowledgeable about the process, materials that would be used, realistic about timelines, and also provided additional referrals for painting and to install a gutter. I really appreciate him spotting that we would need a gutter and providing me the right contact to complete that task prior to the installation of our patio cover. The work was done in one day. The workers that came here did a really good job, they were clean, kind, and answered all my questions regarding the installation process. The quality of the work is high-end. There was no damage to walls, the dimmer works perfectly as do the LED lights and fan. The color scheme is also perfectly aligned with the paint on the fascia boards and stucco. The patio cover, aesthetically, pleasing, will increase the value of my home, and has already served as a gathering place for family and friends. I also feel that I got great value for what we paid for and the project was completed before summer. All in all great experience, and I will definitely refer this company to my friends and colleagues. Thank you!

Matt came to give us an estimate for our patio cover , gave us a reasonable quote ( competitive pricing, yes we've checked around lol) we told him that we kind of need the patio cover done at a certain date since we were having a family party at the house , he promised that he can make it happen on a certain date and when that date came . Couple of workers came to the house and installed the patio cover in 1 1/2 day , they were professional , friendly and was willing to entertain my wife's never ending questions lol . Top shelf company all the way thru the project . It started at the OC Fair with a fantastic gentleman named Jim and treasured Veteran getting us started, then a gentleman named Matt Opson, wealth of information helping us thru the sales step and installation procedures. Matt is a Great Salesman and you can see how much he cares for the customers and the Company. A GREAT BIG Thank YOU to the ENTIRE CREW @ LJ Hausner. The Patio Cover is an OUTSTANDING addition to our backyard. We get full sun all day and, in the summer, -time. it was just too unbearable. I really didn't want to submit a negative review, but it's my only recourse at this point. Sales communication with Brent was fantastic to start. Communication during the remaining process was fine, until I made the final payment. During the final inspection the inspector raised questions about the structure and its integrity, as my project required additional calculations from a structural engineer. The question was that the double header beams were not installed parallel to one another. They're not just off by a little, it is very noticeable and multiple people who have seen the finished patio cover have asked about it (= embarrassing). I called and emailed Hausner Construction multiple times over a period of about 6 weeks - my only request was to talk to someone to hopefully confirm that it is an aesthetic issue and not a structural one. None of my calls were returned nor have my messages been answered. It does not bode well for honoring any potential warranty requests down the road. I also had to hire an independent electrician to come back and bury the electrical into the footing so it could be hidden inside the fiberglass column. Hausner inserted the electrical connection about 15 inches above the ground into the side of the column. This was very unnecessary, because Hausner poured the footings themselves and the electrical was ready and waiting at the site of the footing when installation began. I now have a 1 inch hole to patch in the column, but it's much better than staring at an ugly pvc pipe entering the column 15 inches above ground. read more

Hausner installed a patio cover to the back of my house in 2020 and did an outstanding job. When I had the idea to do something similar, but on a smaller scale, to the front of the house, Matt stopped by to provide a quote. The front of the house has some unique angles and differing heights and I wanted it to look cohesive with the rest of the house. Matt looked at what I wanted from every conceivable angle and together we determined that it wasn't going to work. Matt was completely honest with his input and I agreed that no matter what we were going to do, it was not going to give me the look I wanted. I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to sell me something just for the sake of the sale. Matt was polite and friendly and very knowledgeable. If you want a professional installation, you must reach out to this company. They are very, very good. read more

Just popping in once again to caution anyone from utilizing this. " company" . The rebuttal by the company is all smoke and mirrors. And if there were going to be issues, then they should have been discussed prior. The first red flag was the disgruntled employee that showed up to do the measuring. He was also supposed to discuss the structure and design. This never happened, as he didn't have time. This is when I should have pulled the plug in this outfit. Find anyone else to do your patio cover, anybody else. read more

Melissa office manager was rude, negligent in getting back to me, not returning calls, refused to give me owners contact information, hung up on me accessing me of calling 10 times when my call log shows 3. Told me never call the office again when I was originally planning on using them next year. Super sharp, rude and unresponsive until I had to call 3 times. Seems she was hiding sonething and her behavior alone was a total turn off and red flag for this company. read more

Matt Olson, (Bob Ross look-alike), just gave me a very thorough estimate for installing a patio enclosure on my house . This company had previously installed a Patio cover on my house. Since I was very happy with the services I received previously I called them back to get an estimate for enclosing the patio. this would increase my living space outdoors, and decrease the sound from the traffic in my backyard. Matt was very thorough and personable in helping me decide on a patio enclosure design. Only issues that I wish I had included an enclosure when I first installed the cover. As you are all aware, the price of goods and services have increased a great deal, post Covid. Bottom line, this is a really nice company that does a great job. I recently had a patio covering installed on my back yard patio. I had spoken with several companies to obtain bids and ascertain if the company was a good fit for our needs. I was ready to give up on the patio when I contacted Matt Opson of Hausner Construction. He did an awesome job of outlining the many design possibilities for our Patio. He was so personable and patient with all of our questions. He easily convinced me to move forward with the patio build. We were referred to LJ Hausner by our neighbor. We were looking for a patio enclosure to replace our very old enclosure we currently had. We call them and they sent Matt Opson to our place to talk with us. Matt was very professional and extremely knowledgeable...not to mention very helpful. He walked us through all options, asked us a lot of questions so he could better understand what our needs were for this structure. I have to say there wasn't any question he couldn't answer. He showed us samples of everything, materials, colors, etc. towards the end we talked about pricing and based on all the options we had selected. Matt was very up front on production time, demo of our old structure and installation of the new one. Demo of our old enclosure took only one day. They were quick, friendly and professional. They cleaned and hauled all the debris away and I was very happy with how they did everything. When our structure was ready for install, they called and walked us through the install process...pretty straightforward and the install took about 2.5-3 days...which what they quoted us. The installer was very friendly and professional. He installed our ceiling fan, out door floodlight/camera and the exterior lights with no issue...keep in mind that those items are extra and you have to provide them but they will install for you and Matt was very clear about that. Overall we are very happy with our enclosure and found that it was a good value for the money we spent. We waited for a little bit to write our review as we wanted to make sure everything was good. We have had it up and running for the better part of three months. If you're considering a any type of patio covering or enclosure I would highly recommend LJ Hausner. At least give them a call and discuss your needs. I think you'll be very pleased with the outcome. read more

So let me start by saying I've had a patio cover put on before. I failed to do my homework and review it on social platforms prior to locking in the deal!Unfortunately I was screwed over and it still leaks. Fast forward to my dealings here. From day one completely different. Professional friendly from day one! Matt did an amazing job going over the product the differences between everything. what made the most sense for the type we wanted and why and how it would be beneficial. Couldn't have done it any better myself. Project got finished super fast once the team showed up. The guys were super awesome and cleaned up everything really well. Not All crews are the same so seeing them professional and friendly made me super excited. Why I mention that again my other dealings the last patio company left nails and metal All over the yard. That did not happen here at all! Things were spotless and the building is beautiful. Installed the outdoor lights and we couldn't be happier. My wife loves it and is excited to start doing yoga classes! Fully enclosed patio structure with many windows to the pool. I would recommend working with these guys time and time again! I had Matt with LJ Hausner Construction come by my place to show me what they can do to my patio. I was in desperate need of an enclosure due to weather elements not allowing me to enjoy my patio. Matt showed me samples of material that are used and drew a model of how it can look if I had the patio enclosed. Because Matt was very professional and seemed pretty cool like me, I decided to go with the project Matt demonstrated to me. The job was done fast with no issues. Matt threw in a few extras for me that I had left out. My patio came out super nice and was exactly what I expected. They left my place very clean and me with a great big smile. First off, I'd like to thank John & Brent for the amazing customer service from start to finish. We love our finished patio cover from LJ Hausner. John handled our scheduling and Brent was the salesman who came out and showed us the materials. Both gentleman were patient, courteous, & efficient. Installation is slightly delayed due to materials being affected by the pandemic but they made it happen! Absolute perfection. Highly recommended. I must say, I am so happy with Mat from LJ Hausner Construction each time I can think of a patio cover I think of Mat my Patio cover consultant . We make homes for the elderlies. He's very efficient and right on the spot he's able to tell me in detail if my plan is ok on what we can build according to code and city regulations .. He's very knowledgeable with city codes . Finally, finally, finally a construction company that honours their commitments! My wife and I could not be happier with our new 29' patio cover, that has truly transformed our backyard patio! Brent Santos, General Manager, did an absolutely brilliant job guiding us through every aspect of the design, cost involved and ultimately a perfect installation. We never felt pressured or over sold. Brent was informative, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and transparent throughout the entire process. Equally as amazing, the entire job was completed in less than a day! As they say you're only as good as your team, and his crew was outstanding. I spoke to John on Sat about a potential project and he was very informative and clear. Later on Thursday or so - Garrett came out to measure and talk details. He was also very clear and we discussed all the potential issues and options. Neither of them pressured or did the hard press sales job. I requested quotes for a patio cover replacement from several companies I found on Yelp. LJ Hausner was the first company to respond. Matt came out to our house and spent a good hour with us. He explained the materials they use and how it all fits together. He answered all our concerns and helped us design our new patio cover. We are so happy with the design, the colors and the quality of the materials. About a week after we signed up, Mark (the site plan guy) came to our house to make sure all measurements were accurate. You know the saying,"measure twice cut once". So no oopsies come install day. Mark was on time and very professional. The construction crew showed up on time and were awesome. They worked all day. It was so hot that day but they just kept working. They completed about 80 percent of the job that day. They came back first thing the next morning and completed the job around noon. The crew was very nice. They completely cleaned up our yard at the end of each day. The crew was super professional. Here are some pictures of our patio cover. The first two are after day one, the rest are of the completed project. I would recommend this company to anyone. The price was a super value, the design team was awesome, the crew was super professional and the communication with this company was the best. Payments with LJ Hausner Construction are just what you would expect from a professional construction company. 10 percent down to start the project. A second payment is due to order materials after HOA approval. A third payment when construction begins and 10 percent when project is completed. Hands down the best company for patio covers in the industry! Ralph was the man for getting everything dialed in so the assembly crew could build our cover. The price was amazing considering supply demand in the middle of Covid! They came out demo'd and hauled away the old patio, same day dropped off the materials for the new one and next day showed up at 7am sharp and built the new one in less then a day, my dad always told me being conservative with your $$$ and buying cheap, or spending a little more and getting the best and never having to worry about it because it was done by a reputable well known company like LJ Hausner. I was born in 1941 the youngest of eleven children. As a youth I grew up in the Midwestern city of Omaha, Nebraska. I experienced tremendous poverty. This situation however did not keep me from pursuing my dreams; I had a burning desire to succeed. At the age of twenty-two with less than three hundred dollars and an old Plymouth automobile, I began my journey to California to seek a better life. Through my natural sales ability I eventually found a position with a home improvement company in Garden Grove, California. Fine tuning my craft over a period of five years, I decided to venture into my own business. L.J. Hausner Construction Company was founded in 1976. The humble beginnings included me working out of my house and one other employee, a field canvasser. Communication has been inconsistent at best, and more recently I've been completely ignored. At this point, the issue is no longer just the damage; it's the lack of accountability. Mistakes happen. Ignoring a customer after causing property damage is a much bigger problem. If you're considering this company, just be aware: the install may go well, but if something goes wrong, you may be on your own. I'm still hoping they step up and resolve this properly, but based on my experience so far, I would proceed with caution.

I gave my phone number to that neighbor, and never heard from them again. I had two estimates one from legacy and another from a Huntington Beach based Fence Company. They had completely different quotes. I ended up going with legacy, because they were better communicators than their pricing was much more affordable. The gentleman who fixed the fence spoke little English and mostly Spanish. We were able to make it work and I am happy with the result.

I highly recommend L. J. Hausner Construction Company if, you are planning on installing a patio lattice to your property. I am very happy and pleased with my beautiful Patio lattice that was installed by L. J. Hausner Construction Company in July 2020. They did an excellent job. This was truly a wonderful and non-stressful experience working with the various staff members from L.J. Hausner Construction Company, from start to finish. Everyone was very professional, everyone gave me a detail description on what they was responsible for, and the communication with each representative was great. Also, L. J. Hausner Construction Company handle the applying and follow -up with the filling of the construction permit for a patio lattice with the City of Rancho Cucamonga , once the patio lattice was install and completed, L. J. Hausner Construction Company even made the appointment for the city inspector to do the completion inspection. I first made contact with L.J. Hausner Construction Company, in June of 2019 for a quote, I spoke to John Pierce over the phone, with questions and he gave answers, he also follow-up with me in an email, with a rough quote based on the measurements that I gave him, from three other companies that I receive quotes from who visit my property. By far L J. Hausner Construction Company quote was the lowest. One year later I was ready to have the patio lattice install. I called to make an appointment, Ralph Trejo was the representative that came out to meet with me at my property. We talk ( Q & A) , he measurement the area were the patio lattice was going to be install and give me a quote. The Quote was much higher than the first quote that I receive in June of 2019. He indicated they had been an increase in material cost. "However" Ralph Trejo made a phone call to his office, and L. J. Hausner Construction Company honored the first quote I revived in June of 2019. An agreement contract between L. J. Hausner Construction Company and myself was signed. A few days later a second representative came out to confirm the measurements, answers questions and gave me a timeline of the next couple of steps, (applying for the city permit, and the order of the material). A few weeks later I received a call from Melissa Galassi with the date my patio lattice was going to be installed, she also, follow-up and notify me with the date and time the City inspector was coming to do the completion inspection and once the patio lattice was install and completed, she sent me the transferable lifetime warranty for the patio lattice. On installment day, a two man crew arrive at my homes during the estimated time that was given to me, by Melissa Galassi, one of the guys gave me an estimate time how long it will take for them to install the patio lattice. The two man crew did an excellent job in installing my patio lattice and a fantastic job of cleaning up after theirs self and hauling away all the trash. Also, I sent an email to L. J. Hausner Construction Company, and received a response from the President of the company, Robert Hausner. The completion inspection with the City, pass with flying colors. Thank you very much L J. In May 2017, my wife and I contracted a 40x12' solid cover for our son's house as a wedding gift. It was to protect the entire width of the south-facing backyard in Riverside. It sure helps to keep the patio and house cool. The 3" insulated cover was installed by Alejandro in two days, and I noted the precision with which he measured every component. Matt Opson, the design engineer, and the installer exceeded our expectations. In December of 2019, I had just finished a major room-addition at the rear of our own house and was anxious for LJ Hausner to provide a patio cover for us. This cover was a 4" insulated solid, contoured against four faces of the building, a bit more difficult. Matt showed up and said, "Remember me?" He measured the project area, drew his sketches and gave us a "loyal customer" discount. Afterward, the engineer drew up the details and reviewed them with me. The installation was delayed due to rainy weather, but we found a three-day hole in the clouds sufficient to finish. The installation took two days with three guys headed by Victor. They were nice guys and worked efficiently together until the six (6) lamps had to be installed. I asked Victor when the lamps were needed, and he said "today." I told him that I would have them in less than an hour. When I arrived with the lamps I noticed immediately that he made the penetrations for the lamps too low and off-center. He had assumed that the lamp type that I wanted would be mounted upright from the penetration, but I purchased ones that hung downward from above. So the lamp fixture height reached below 6' and was not accurately centered on the beam. They installed the lamps anyway to see if they were acceptable; they weren't. I became irritated only when Victor began raising his voice and blaming me. It is not polite to "should" on people. It embarrassed the other crew members. This compelled me to write an e-mail to Matt asking him to find a solution. The character of a company is best revealed in resolving accuracy related errors and false assumptions. I told Matt that they could simply drill new holes for the fixture 8" higher, and I would move the fixtures and glue a few decorative tiles to cover the mistakes. Matt eventually responded that the company was uncomfortable patching over the holes and he ordered six new fascia pieces to match and drill them at the correct elevation. He sent Grant out to make the replacements. He took his time and measured accurately. I am now as happy as a kid with his first two-wheeler. I would give LJH five stars but for the attitude of the installer and the resulting aggravation and delay. read more

My wife and I recently finished our patio cover project utilizing this company and we highly recommend them. It was an extremely difficult time in 2021 with Covid, supply shortages and the general chaos of the time. However, this company stayed on top of our job, along with all of our requests and changes, plus they coordinated with the City to obtain our Building Permit on our behalf, with minimal disruption in our lives for this project. Although it was a difficult time, they really did an outstanding job on our customized Duralum Elite Patio Cover and we are absolutely delighted with the result with its lifetime guarantee. A special shout-out for Ralph, our rep who coordinated the sale and construction issues, plus he endured our calls at all hours to answer our questions and concerns. Also, John was helpful and friendly in our contacts with him. Melissa always had an answer for us on any of our concerns or questions, and she also coordinated many of the moving parts, like City inspections, invoicing and billing concerns. This company is rock solid and we always felt that we were in good hands even through the crazy months that we all endured... We also need to complement the installers, who completed our installation in less than two days, working tirelessly and their workmanship and attention to detail was truly outstanding... Again, this was minimal disruption to our lives while they were working on our project. We are very happy with our new Patio cover, which will last for years with minimal maintenance while the appearance and functionality is really amazing. Incidentally, we previously had a nice wood patio cover for 20+ years and there is no comparison between that and the Duralum product that we got from L.J. Hausner Company. In summary, the product is great, the Hausner team is great and our aluminum patio cover is great, and we are very happy customers. read more

Our patio cover was installed last week, my wife and I are pleased with the result, it's a good looking unit, solid, and really enhances the backyard. We worked with Ralph Trejo on the sale, highly recommend anyone looking to get a patio cover from LJ Hausner to ask for him, he is an honest and upfront guy, answered all our questions, and everything proceeded as he said it would. The gentleman who came out and did the design work was excellent as well. Pricing was better than their competitors, however we did have a discount applied as we visited their booth at the OC Fair and contacted them from the info we were given by the salesperson, we were pleased with the appearance of the samples at the fair, and the information given to us by the sales person. The appearance of the parts is very good, nice simulated wood siding effect, matches the house trim well, and the caps are attractive and appear to be high quality. The install crew was on time, honest and up-front. They ran into some issues with our Spanish tile roof, which we had been told was not a problem. (We opted for the roof mount to give us some extra height underneath for string lighting and to keep our view from being so blocked by the cross beam). I wound up helping them with both install prep before the brackets were mounted, and the final sealing of the tiles, where they were cut. I have a lot of experience in construction so it was not a problem. They added some extra brackets to ensure the roof beam was well secured. We were concerned about keeping our fire pit underneath so I wrote the company, the owner wrote back and said it is not a problem and he uses one regularly under his own. Appreciated the quick response. Looking forward to using our new cover for holidays, and the shade we'll get from it during the summer, as our house faces west. read more

TLDR: it was wonderful, ask for Ralph Trejo. Full review: We had 7 windows installed from LJ Hausner Construction. From start to finish we had a wonderful experience. Ralph Trejo came out and after we told him our budget and what we wanted done he explained what we could do without going over budget. He explain the product and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted at the price we could afford. He was amazing and was able to do almost double of what we expected.with a better quality product, I have gotten bids from other companies and had an idea how much we could get done with our budget. The next day a man came out to measure the windows for the order. When the windows came in we got a phone call for installation, and they were able to install 7 windows in about 2 hours. We have had a window replaced in the past by another company and it took about an hour, I figured 7 windows would take all day. The windows are even better than Ralph had said! Not only are they beautiful but they block out most, if not all, of the street noises: cars, airplanes over head, and the barking dogs next door. The first night the lack of sound was alarming, we have grown accustomed to hearing cars racing along beach blvd, planes flying from Long Beach airport, etc.; it was hard to sleep without them. The best part is that there is no longer a draft, and we were able to turn up temperature for the AC, I can't wait to see the savings in the utility bills! Using LJ Hausner Construction to get the windows replaced was the best decision we could have made. I can't wait to replace the rest of the windows and I will defiantly be calling Ralph when the time comes! I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we had!!! read more

We posted a review 6 months ago when the patio cover was put up. We were impressed with everything, from sales to the construction & flawless beauty. It rained hard during the recent Holidays. We woke up to see leakage in several areas! I was shocked, & upset. Immediately I called the office, also text our salesperson Matt Opson. His attitude was "sorry but we cant do anything until after the New Year." I inquired how to tell them where the leaks were. He said to put some tape in the areas as that's what the customers usually do. There was predictions of more rain. We couldn't use our patio. Finally they agreed to contact construction & Robert Hausner himself emailed me! They would come fix the leaks Wednesday. No one showed up, & they told us he's on the way, 4 times! Never came, 2 hours wasted. Rescheduled for today, Saturday between 9-11. This was certainly becoming an ordeal. This was over $7,000! Finally a guy showed up after 11. Billy said he will seal the entire cover again. We didn't have to put tape up after all. Another waste of our time. He was gone in 20 minutes. No note, nothing. I have a feeling the cover will still leak but time will tell. I've lost all faith in Hausner Construction. Caution...Looks alone do not make a satisfactory job. read more

We first met LJ Hausner at the LA County Fair and were interested in their patio covers. After careful research and talking to a rep from the company, we were convinced that we wanted their product, and their company was the right one for for us. We met with Ralph for more discussion and decided to pull the trigger on a 24' by 14' combination lattice and solid cover with 2 ceiling fans. Needless to say, the consultation with Ralph and their engineer went off without a hitch and we had them install our patio about 4 weeks after they came out as they were very busy. The installers came on time, were very professional, and left our home as clean as they found it. They installed our patio in two days and it looks awesome. We definitely made the right choice and recommend this product and company to anyone who is considering a patio for their home. Everyone who sees our patio is impressed and really likes it. Also, as you know, it started raining recently (mid December 2016) and the patio is taking it like a champ with zero leaks or issues. Thank you LJ Hausner for a great patio. I recently had a 20' x 18' enclosed patio room installed by LJ Hauser, and I am ecstatic with the result! I needed the project completed within a month from sign of contract, and they kept their promise with a week to spare! The two gentlemen who installed my project were two of the hardest working professionals I ever witnessed. They were scheduled for installation from Wed to Friday but it was forecasted for rain on Thursday and Friday. I was expecting them to postpone the installation because of the rain, but they improvised and worked till sundown on the first day to get the roof installed so they could work under cover when it rained. The weatherman was right, it was pouring the next two days but they showed up at 8am on each day and got the job done. On the last day, my room was finished (leak proof of course), and they cleaned up my backyard better than how they found it. The roof was trimmed off and flashed correctly (no visible gap). The electrical was done per electrical code, they ran a new 20A circuit with 12/2 Romex from the electrical panel to the new room, and all exposed wiring was in conduit. We decided not to replace the termite-ridden wooden patio cover in our backyard. Instead, we hired L.J. Hausner Construction Company to design and install an aluminum patio cover. It turned out to be a truly superior choice! Matt Opson, the company general manager, met with us and made suggestions about sizing, the width and spacing of the top slats, and the best place to locate the support beams. He was highly knowledgeable, super enthusiastic, and we felt very comfortable working with him. When it was time for installation, he sent Manuel and Ernesto, two very capable installers to our home. They were very polite, kept to themselves, worked well together and left our backyard completely spotless! They vacuumed, swept and removed every piece of trash from our yard. Melissa in the front office was also very helpful, answering our questions throughout the entire process. We highly recommend L.J. Hausner Construction Company to anyone seeking to install an aluminum patio cover. The product is very durable, never scratches, rusts, rots or becomes infested with bugs. It also has a very pleasant, relaxing sound when there is rainfall, especially at nighttime. We love it! read more

Located LJ Hausner on Yelp! Got the Patio I had hoped to get thru local vendors. The cost to do wood Patio and or Vinyal was too much and the designs were not working with our odd back yard. Working with Brent who drove all the way in a day to scope and quote was impressive. Personable and the product is made to order. The company makes the material in the USA here in California family owned. We did not expect the patio to look as good as it does. Honestly the installer worked to get us what I had hoped to get. The walk areas are so small around our massive pool installed in the 70's putting pole in everywhere was worked around. They really do make to order products and stand behind them for life. I would recommend this company. Made in USA, small family owned. Drive to you quote and install and warranty their product for life. I attached pictures as those who did this helped me. I did this higher adn on a slant. We now have breezes and dinner outside watch a movie while in the pool but not burn in the heat. Rain not an issue now. Another whole addition to the hot desert sun. My Pebbletech will last longer and my plants do not burn. All around good investment read more

So far we are off to a rocky start. It seems they can't schedule their team appropriately to do the job they commit to. I should've known I would have issues with my install date when they mischeduled the engineer. They shifted the original inspection date by a date which caused me to miss a preplanned event. Now they cannot install the patio cover on the agreed date due to resource issues. When talking to them on the phone they said they are trying to make it easier for the team which means they don't care about my time. I now have to take two days off work. I will definitely not be recommending this company to anyone as they don't value their clients time. Update: Got a call from Robert within 90 minutes of posting my review. He got a team out here and the team was able to finish the job on schedule so I do not have to take additional time off work. The installation was done very well. With rain expected tomorrow I'll see if there are any leaks. Glad Robert was made aware of my issues via yelp. I only wish the original project manager had the same sense of placing the client first and working on solutions to scheduling issues. read more

My wife and I contacted Matt Opson at Hausner Construction about installing a carport in front of our 4th garage. They set up an appointment for us immediately. The sales person was great and everything went smoothly. The day of installation one of their best installers, Cole, arrived right on time an immediately went to work. The process was very interesting to me and the quality of Hausner's product was excellent. Cole was amazing, watching him build the carport from scratch. The finished product was even much more beautiful then both my wife and I expected. A perfect color match to our house trim, very solid construction and the best-looking carport we have ever seen. Interestingly, the very next day it rained and not a single drop of rain leaked through the cover or the siding where the carport was attached to the house. But, of course, that is just what we would expect. The project was completed in one day. We are extremely happy with Cole's work and Hausner's management and staff. If you are looking to put in a carport or patio cover, call Matt at Hausner Construction, they are the best!!! read more

We made an appointment with L.J. Hausner Construction to come and give us an estimate for a new Patio Cover. It was time to remove the old 30 year patio Cover. Matt Opson arrived, he had a great attitude and made us feel comfortable, not pushing to do a sale. Answered all our questions and even gave us options. We loved his idea and estimate so we went for it. The crew that arrived was fantastic and very polite. They took down the old cover in 1 day and returned the next day to install the new cover. They killed it and our new patio with lights was up in 1 day. They cleaned up everything and left our patio cleaner than when they arrived the 1st day. Our Patio Cover looks amazing and beautiful, our neighbors and family all love it. I also put pictures on Facebook and everyone have left nothing but great compliments. We highly recommend Matt Opson and L. J. Hausner Construction Company if you ever want a patio cover. They are a fantastic Company and only use quality materials and do things right. I reached out to LJ Hausner 4 months ago. Ralph came out and gave me an estimate on what I though I wanted. I called them 2 months ago when I thought I was ready to go forward. Ralph came out again and brought the Engineer only find that I have additional plans. He gave me another estimate. Then, later I realized that those plans would not work to the end I wanted and called Ralph back again to come out a 3rd time. I felt so bad, but I really want my project to be exactly what I want and one I can live with. I also know that LJ Hausner is the company I want to work with, namely, Ralph. He is so professional. He came out that 3rd time and just like each time before he was upbeat, understanding, thorough and supportive. He wants the project details to be exactly what I envision. I am now awaiting my final drawings and am very excited to get started. I know my backyard patio will be just what my family and I are so much looking forward to enjoying. We first came to know L J Hausner Construction during San Diego's County Fair 2017. Staff was very friendly and they were able to scheduled us for a free estimate. Brent, Salesman, was very friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. A few weeks later our patio was installed, it totally gave our house an uplift. Now I can host events at my house without hesitation to invite people in our back yard. Our patio size is 14 x 40, color pewter, love it. We are currently remodeling our house, so we haven't had a chance to invite friends and family over since we still have a few projects left but we cant wait to show our friends and family our kick ass patio!!! One thing to mention, unfortunately we had an accident and damaged the gutter from out patio, but Robert and Melissa were awesome and were able to help replace the damaged gutter, now that's the type of company Brent promised us it would be. I am very pleased with my experience with L. J. Hausner Construction Co. I booked the estimate at the San Diego County Fair and the appointment was confirmed by telephone. The owner, Larry Hausner, came to my home promptly at the appointed time and I found him to be polite, personable, knowledgeable and extremely professional. I enjoyed his visit and felt comfortable with his responses to my questions. The bid was extremely fair and I did not experience any pressure to sign a contract. The job was scheduled within my time constraints and the crew appeared on time as scheduled. They were hard workers (in high heat conditions), did an outstanding job, were very professional and did an great job cleaning up following the installation. The foreman inquired if they could stay a little later to finish the job in one day instead of having to return, which was very much to my satisfaction. We saw an ad online for an aluminum patio cover for our house in Vista, CA. We contacted more than one company and are so pleased with the LJ Hausner Company. The salesperson, Matt Opson was prompt on the day scheduled. He asked a few questions, looked at the location of the potential patio cover. He is a perfect gentleman and a true professional. We are not fond of the TYPICAL Closer with high-pressure tactics. Matt is confident with his product so he does not need any "Tricks" A couple of weeks later the field measure person, Mark Maready showed up, again very prompt. We asked questions and all were answered. At this point, we were considering additional square footage to make our patio cover BETTER. Mark measured, then relayed the info to Matt. We had our addendum quote within 24 hours. It was very reasonable so we added the extension. Mark was a gentleman and professional also. I want to say a big THANK YOU for the team at LJ Hausner Construction!! They did an awesome job at our house! Matt was the person we first spoke and met with. He did an amazing job at explaining every step by step and gave us a terrific price and discount. We had a few other guys quotes but at the end of the day we chose to go with Matt and the Hausner Team due to experience and reference and quality. We couldn't have made a better choice! Hands down the best in their business! Everything that Matt throughly explained at our first meeting happened. No hidden fees no hidden anything. We felt so happy with the work and the professionalism that we even told our friends and family! They came finished on time left my backyard even cleaner than before they had arrived! A+++!!! I found out about Hausner construction from the OC fair. We had An old pergola on our back patio that needed updating, and didn't offer any protection from the sun. We begin with Matt. Matt came into our home and took care of business. Matt was polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the entire operation. I can confidently say I knew what the entire processes looked like , including scheduling/ building, etc, by the time he left. Matt stayed late , past 8 pm to get our contract dialed in. Thank you Matt, so much. With the current stay at home orders, I wasn't sure if we would get the patio done, so I called after not hearing anything. This turned out to be my fault, as I had gotten a new cell phone and for got to update Matt, (sorry Matt!!) . That call got us scheduled for the next week to install.
