What started off as a very good experience ended in a terrible one as they totally dropped the ball on the follow up and order. Other than the manager, the majority of the current staff we interacted with on the follow through were inexperienced and could not help get anything resolved. After 3 weeks of trying to get delivery and installation even Scheduled we finally canceled the order. Unfort. this also put our renovation behind by that 3 weeks. Pretty much the most terrible customer I have ever received. I spent over 4 grand and got treated like a rat. I ordered stair nosings and was told it would take 3 to 5 days. I ordered then November we 22nd and finally received them, after endless excuses of reasons for the delay, on December 13th. To make it even better we ordered tongue and groove and started laying the whole top floor of our house with the template they gave us. So starting the entire floor with this template (matching what we ordered) we received lip over molding which was completely different setting out whole floor back and not even matching the width of our already set floor. The customer service matches the experience. We were not compensated at all and told that we probably don't know what we were doing it didn't know what we were looking at. The person doing my floors has been doing this for over 30 years. They offered to send someone out to identify the nosings were different but then stated they wouldn't come for days. They have set this project back by weeks causing extra expenses for my girlfriend and I and causing our move in date to be pushed back father and farther. They do nothing to correct their issues and just blamed the whole thing on their computer system not being correct. After they admired their fault they offered a refund and offered us the right moldings in a other color that WE would have to stain to match our floor we bought from them. Best part is we would again have to order them and probably wait another month. They insulted the person doing my floor and have caused our expenses to go well beyond what we might have saved on just getting the wood from home Depot. This has been by far my worst experience ever with any purchase big or small and I will never ever recommend or use this ridiculous company again. update they did refund me the money after the sale when the wood went on sale so I will up the rating from a 1 to a 3 since the customer service appeared after the sale. Buyer Beware. They sold us a defective product - I have no idea if our product has the toxic formaldehyde or not, but I do know that it has cracked right from the middle from many planks and has shrunk abnormally within three months of installation. We installed their most expensive wood all over our house. They sent the installer to verify our complaint - which he did, complete with pictures. After that the people at the store do not help you at all. They just tell you to contact corporate, and corporate does nothing but send you emails with ticket numbers. It's been more than two months since we initiated our complaint. Have reported them to the BBB. Horrible experience. read more

Can't say enough. Lumber Liquidators made it easy and painless. They helped me pick out my flooring, gave me a price. I accepted. Paid a very small deposit. Gave me a contact number to their installer. I called the installer, he came over and gave me a price for installation and told me it would take approximately three days to install (big job). Explained what I could expect so I could prepare my house accordingly, scheduled a date and time frame. I paid the installer a small deposit. Then I received a call from Lumber Liquidators a couple of days later telling me the flooring I purchased went on sale and they gave me a 15% discount. Wow! Who does that? Talking about impressive! I bought the side boards from Home Depot. Had Home Depot deliver the side boards for me. A couple of days prior to installation I paid Lumber Liquidators the balance I owed them. The date of installation the installers picked up the flooring delivered it to my home, installed the flooring and side boards. Installation took three days. The two installers were excellent. They were obviously professionals. They hardly spoke but each knew exactly what to do next. Took a lunch break but were swift and did exceptional work. My floors look amazing! They cleaned up each day before leaving. Answered all my questions. I paid the balance due. They were very polite and courteous. Can't say enough. What can I say, other than the sales people were extraordinarily helpful. We found the laminate we really wanted that we couldn't find anywhere else. It was truly a dream come true. Good prices. Good salesmen. And then we did an air quality test. Now, don't get me wrong, I like formaldehyde to out gas in my house, especially in the nursery, but these numbers were waaaay too high. Amazingly, when I called up those super salespeople to see if I, in fact, might have toxic flooring which they sold me... the good-natured-ness evaporated. "Talk to corporate" Click. After visiting other flooring stores, I stopped in Lumber Liquidators after looking online at their selection. Thompson was very helpful and worked with my budget. Took some samples home while I was deciding on which color and style I was going to chose. Thompson arranged for the installer to measure my home so I would have a better idea of what the project would cost. We bought some flooring for our new house. It was the Aberdeen Birch. I saw it on sale for $1.69 online. Then a week later I went to the store with my boyfriend to look at it, and it was $1.49. We couldn't pass it up. Steve the store manager was very helpful. He said if we needed more, we could purchase more at the sale price that we had originally bought it for, which was awesome. A month later, I was doing some credit card hacking and wanted a refund for floors and have it transferred to another card, Jaykeup helped me out with that. There was a mistake on the pricing, so a few weeks later when I went to pick up the floors Jaykeup helped me out. He was very polite, professional, even offered me a bottle of water. He threw in a few items to compensate for the extra charge, which wasn't even a lot. He was very kind and gracious. Overall great experience with the entire store!!! I have purchased Bellawood engineered 3 times and the product is superior. This last purchase and their return policy is the last time I will buy from them. Found the product I wanted on their website Website stated out of stock, check with the local store for inventory Did that, they did not have it, told them the room was 158 sq ft. They said I need 6 boxes. Ordered it. Product came in, did the room had 1 unopened box left. Returned it. They told me special order can't return it. Appealed to corporate, told OK to return 20% restocking fee. Just can't figure out why they need my 20% on a product that they will resell in a heartbeat. The workers were friendly but full of excuses for delayed delivery of flooring. We really got the run around. Drove from Colorado to Vegas to put in a flooring that they said would be in when we arrived. Spent $2000 and our flooring was 3 days late and the transition moulding never arrived. This was the second time dealing with the store. We bought flooring from them a year ago; there was an issue with them not having enough so we got a refund and they convinced us to get another flooring from them. We got the flooring. Two weeks ago we ordered more for our bathroom. They advised us that it would be in a week ago; didn't show up. We called yesterday and two different people advised us that it was in. Our workers arrived to pick it up to find that it "was lost" and they couldn't do anything about it. Also, we advised them a day after ordering the floor for our bathroom that we were going to order more for the rest of the house but we just needed to get the measurements and they told us they wouldn't honor the same price! I attempted to call customer service and all they said was sorry, don't know what to tell you and confirmed they wouldn't honor the sale price either. They also stated the delivery day was a different day than the guys had in the store. Very very very frustrating! We will not be using them again! read more

Looked at flooring at Home Depot and lowes prior to coming to lumber liquidators. We are closing on our home this week and looking for flooring other than carpet. The team member here helped us understand the different options.. Materials that resembled wood that were not actually wood. We are sold on the tile that looks like barn wood. Great prices. I really didn't want to do this but I'm so angry. First--the product itself is not the problem. Nor was the store. It was the guy that laid the floor. After laying the vinyl floors he sliced my carpet from wall to wall. (I still don't know why he'd mess with the carpet when he was laying vinyl.) When I noticed it I called his boss, Albert. Albert sent someone out to see and said they'd fix it. Since then It's been call after call after call. When he does respond, it's--"I'll get someone out to fix it." NOTHING. He sent someone out and he's not a carpet guy. So I have to wait for a real carpet guy. When he comes he says he has to order something and call when it comes in. Again NOTHING. It's been more than 8mos. I'm not that hard to please. The floor was laid poorly at best. He laid the new floor over the old vinyl and didn't even remove the toilet to do the bathroom. I don't like to stand over the worker but from now on I will be breathing down his neck. read more

USE CAUTION buying here. The poorest customer service experience of my life. We followed the stores and the store's installers instructions to the letter. 2 months after installation we noticed cracks in our wood flooring. The installer came to inspect the damage and confirmed it was a manufacturing problem. Even uninstalled planks, stored in our house, have damage. After filing a claim with Lumber Liquidators to replace the damaged planks, communicating with the customer service rep was impossible. She never answers the phone, she does not return emails or voice messages. The installer cannot get through to her either. She finally sent me a denial letter placing the blame for the cracked planks on a humidity issue AND said it's my fault. Again we followed instructions to the letter, we have kept the house temperature exactly within the recommended range, waited for the wood to acclimate, etc. The installer has been great, the local store was good at the sales end but passed everything on to "Customer Service" where the nightmare begins. I will NEVER buy from Lumber Liquidators again. read more

I will say this about this business, they are happy to get your money but when you may have to change your decision about something and decide not to get the flooring and you put a nice deposit down and haven't taken the product, it is virtually impossible to get your deposit back! My husband and I was thinking about getting some flooring and put a deposit down. We knew the flooring was on sale so we wanted to leave a deposit but before we did we wanted to inform the salesman that we might have to change our minds and he said it would be no problem and that you get your deposit back within 1 to 2 weeks max. Well unfortunately we had to change our minds and lets say we still have not got our deposit back and we asked for the refund the 26th of July and today is the 25th of August and I just got off the phone with their head quarters (who by the way aren't very pleasant to deal with) and they say they just mailed the check out for our deposit and should be getting it this week, maybe. So to anyone who is deciding on getting flooring and want to possibly get it DON'T put a deposit. You won't see it for at least 4 weeks. You would think a company of this size would put service first but unfortunately they don't. I will never purchase from here and will recommend my friends not to either, of course their choice lol. So happy to take your money but not happy to give it back! read more
