He came out and designed a gorgeous,functional kitchen, dining, laundry and custom cabinetry by the fireplace. I couldn't have achieved this on my own. Thrilled beyond about all the deep pot drawers and pullouts in the other cabinets. I no longer have to get down to get things in the back of the cabinet just pull it out. No wasted space. My spice drawer directly under the cooktop above the cooking pot drawers is the envy of my sisters. The countertop is Quartzite "Taj Mahal" a natural stone as durable as granite. I couldn't write this without mentioning Adam carpenter extraordinaire. My are perfect in every aspect. Soft close cabinets really close with just a touch you have a see to believe and the small cabinet between the washer and dryer is on wheels for easy access to plumbing. Last but not least is NoE who fabricated the counter tops so beautiful. He had to have seem in the dining room but he matched the veins up so well it's hardly noticeable. We went to look at this establishment. I had read a number of bad reviews about them being a flakey business. We weren't greeted for a good 5 to 10 minutes. We were actually considering leaving. When we were greeted the owner seemed annoyed that we had questions. We left and my girlfriend wanted to look elsewhere. We decided to give them a shot. So they came and measured. He did it extremely fast which I thought was strange. Then literally disappeared. I contacted them weeks later after never hearing back and again was met with an attitude. They said that is a service they provide and come down to discuss it. Upon getting down there they stated they only do new kitchens. Renovating a kitchen and master bath is a big job, and we knew we were just going to get one change to get it right. We probably over-did our due diligence, but spent time with four different companies. From our first meeting with Steven Tarnow at West Coast Cabinets, we were impressed. He had plenty of construction experience, knew cabinets and countertops like nobody else, listened carefully to our desires and made suggestions in areas were were unsure of. He came up with a design we loved, and made improvements on what we thought we originally wanted. He made computer assisted designs, did all the measuring himself, and even suggested a contractor for us to work with. We spent time in the showroom going over options, styles and everything from sinks to cabinet hardware. His designs were perfect, his recommendation of a contractor excellent, and they delivered on time. Their installation people were pure professionals and we now have a kitchen and bathroom that we are absolutely thrilled with! I cannot recommend these folks more highly. Not a happy customer at this time... no kitchen since Monday. One week of vacation from work wasted. I definitely did NOT enjoy my 40 hours of annual leave this year. My fault for trusting verbal confirmation for the cabinet color but, hey... too much to pay to be trustful, don't you think? UPDATE: John compensated this writer by sending his handyman to put my over the range microwave back and my kitchen faucet back in service. According to him that woulda cost $250.00. The final bill was sent to me on July 17th for payment. The address on my receipt was incorrect despite of me mentioning that they must indicate the correct address. I still receive a receipt with my neighbors address on the receipt. They sent me another receipt with corrected information that seems like a favor to me, lol! Not good here. Will recommend company. Not customer focused. Entered into contract late Feb to have cabinets installed. Pandemic hit delayed cabinets a month. 1 set of cabinets broken. 1 box of uppers completely damaged. Stated that the others could be repaired. Who in the heck purchases new (over 5K for contract) and wants repaired boxes at new prices. 2nd set ordered. Was back ordered until June. Lowers were in good shape, but 3 of the uppers was damaged. 1 completely. Installed 3 boxes with 1 damaged. Another back order occurred. They just finished installing the cabinets. Again 3 of the 4 uppers were damaged. Replaced 1 of the upper boxes with a less damaged piece. Here is the kicker,the salesperson would not give me an adjustment. So from February to August I had limited cabinets. 3 times an order was placed on had the NERVE to state that it was not his fault the cabinet company was at fault. WTF. I did not have a contract with the cabinet company. Also he added that he had to use is crew 3 times to come out to install. WTH is that BS. I asked you after the 1st time to verify that the boxes were in good shape before coming out. That is on you. My contract is with YOU. YOU did not deliver as promised. Do not waste your time hiring this company. On September 27th was in contact with Krystal about having a new kitchen installation for our house. She was sent measurements and also a design that we wish to have. I should have known by the design that was sent back this was not company to do business with. Her rendition was not even close to what I sent her plus it took her an extra day with a sorry it's been busy(first red flag). So we decided to set up an appointment so we can go over exactly what we wanted. So finally on Oct. 1 get preliminary estimate a bit higher than expected but wanted to have an in home to go over what we wanted vs. the rendition she came up with. Krystal scheduled on Oct. 5th at 4:30p.m. (her choice since we were not available Saturday) So Tuesday she at least called at 10:30 to cancel and asked if we could do Wednesday and we agreed on a time of 6:30p.m. as we had another appointment that day. Then she cancels that appointment with another family issue.(red flag 2) So she said can we do after 2p.m. Saturday and said sure since we are busy getting ready for the Renaissance Faire next weekend. She said she would be here at 2:30p.m. It is now 3:48p.m. and not a peep from this woman. Have called twice and right to voicemail and no response to 3 text messages asking her ETA. This seems to be the Standard operation for so many companies that don't want business here in Las Vegas. Must be nice that you are so busy that you can piss off potential customers who will be more than happy to not only give my business to another company but will make sure to let everyone know how this company is run. read more

Don't waste your time. First, we went to their store to look at countertops with interest in having cabinets done also. One person was there, Josh who didn't know much. Based on dimensions I provided, the price for the counters would be $2,500 according to him. The owner John Joshes dad, came to my mom's house and told us his kid was wrong and he would give us the quote for the entire job in a few days. Thirty minutes after he left, I had a question and called, but only could leave a message. I called again in a couple more hours and could only leave a message again. That was three weeks ago and he hasn't called back. To me, that's rude and not good business. read more

We redid our whole kitchen, including granite countertops for less than half of what other people were going to charge. Steven Tarnow is very knowledgeable and was able to make our dream kitchen come to life. We looked at many options before choosing WCC. Cabinet refacing was much more expensive and buying ready to assemble cabinets and then paying extra for labor to install them was far more expensive. There is a 3 inch over hang on my cabinets that looks awful. They gave the cheapest bid for a reason....their work is terrible. The owner swore that this overhang was 'industry standard' as other contractors disagreed. Do yourself a favor and pay 10% more somewhere else and get better quality work. read more

It's interesting that the company owner failed to address the sawdust left in our house; and the numerous months it took them to respond and resolve the problems the employees created. It's irrelevant that the contractor supposedly did a great job on other jobs. The point was made that he failed to do a good job on this job, in my home. Initially, when I contacted Joe Duran and provided details regarding the number of tiles damaged, it was an estimate of roughly 11 tiles. I assumed, your employees would show up and complete a review of all the damaged tiles. After your employees failed to show up at every scheduled appointment, I got on my knees at 57 years old and inspected every tile myself. This was, a simple project that had problems. All projects have problems. That's life. The way in which your company responded to the problems was the failure. Basically, failing to respond appropriately. All you had to do is show up and replace the tiles. Not tell your customer we'll be there on several specific dates and not show up. Don't turn your failure into the customers fault! read more

We had a great experience with this company! That is not to say that there were not a few hiccups along the way, but every hiccup was handled professionally and promptly. We ordered new cabinets for our kitchen and three bathrooms from John about two weeks before our house closed and we received the keys. Our goal was to get the house fixed up in time for a party 30 days after we took possession. Adan did a great job working around the painters and floor installers to keep things moving fast. I contracted westcoast cabinets to install granite and countertops. These guys caused a leak in the kitchen through their negligence and prematurely damaging the wood. They are not willing to accept liability for this. Moreover, they did not pre-inspect the granite before installing. There is a big black mark, 3 inches by 3 inches that seems so out of place and makes it so awfully ugly. They are saying it is natural and they cannot do anything about it. They said if I wanted to replace that spot of granite, it will cost more. Sent an e-mail to the owner, John, asking for an extended warranty on the wood due to the leak and a partial refund on the granite and there has been no response. Currently, using my credit card to dispute and will use small claims court to pursue this. read more

I had a very difficult time not only finding a company that would replace our galley kitchen countertops either due the job being too small, their price was too high, or not calling me back. Luckily, I was suggested to contact West Coast Cabinets for granite countertops in our kitchen through Home Adviser due to their high reviews. I contacted them and received a call back from Steven that afternoon with a scheduled estimate the next day. This was my first experience picking countertops, so I had a lot of questions. Steven answered my questions usually within a couple hours and picked a great slab for our kitchen and home style. The work was competed the following week in less than one work day. They arrived on time and were friendly and courteous by laying down tarp over the carpet and worked efficiently the whole time. They didn't leave a spec of dust or debris. We are beyond pleased with the results. The price included demo of current countertop, granite countertops, sinks, and clean up of both the kitchen and powder room. Hey we're even able to add a granite slab on my windowsill above my kitchen sink, which is a neat detail. We will no doubt be using them again for our other bathrooms. Made an appointment to redo our kitchen for today at 3:30 pm. Left work early and they didn't even bother to show up. When I called after waiting a half an hour someone there realized who I was and said oh I'll be there in 20 minutes. So now they wanted me to wait 1 hour. A courtesy call would have been nice. Glad this happened now. I called only imagine If I went with them, they probably wouldn't even bother to bring the right cabinets on time and thought nothing of it. Terrible. read more

We entered into a contract with John Arendt - West Coast Cabinets and his team (Ray and the crew). Demolition began on August 29th. They arrived on time and began to professionally transform a kitchen that we were accustomed to for 21years- sunflower wallpaper and all! We knew exactly how we wanted our kitchen to look and function to include a new kitchen island, quartz countertops, USB outlets, plumbing relocation, can-recessed lighting, new flooring, appliances and a backsplash that would be the focal point to tie everything together. Ray and his crew (the contractors) were always tidy and professional. When we needed to communicate with John or his team, they were available and if not, always returned our calls or text messages immediately, which was valuable in alleviating any stress during this process. We took our realtors recommendation and called to have an estimate on updating cabinets in our new house (kitchen and 3 bathrooms). We were told a few days to get a proposal, but heard nothing. I called and my voicemails went unanswered. I actually called John (the owner), and had my call sent right to voicemail and then heard him say "tell her over the weekend" when I called the office immediately after. I waited 2 weeks and posted a Yelp review with my opinion of dont bother - they dont want the business. I received a response on Yelp from John within 5 minutes of posting my review telling me there were extenuating circumstances and asked for another chance. I pulled down my review and sent a not back saying of course and I would look forward to seeing his proposal. It's now been over a week since that correspondence (more than 3 weeks since our initial meeting) and nothing. The only communication I ever got was to get me to retract a negative review. Installed quartz countertops and they look amazing. Extra star for the fact that I ended up with a tricky install in a corner with two windows and instead of installing the original plan, the installer explained how it would look and the issue with the original design (windows were installed unevenly). He recommended a different design and showed me pictures of other installs with that design. A delay with the install finish but well worth the wait and instead of "slapping in" the original design he took enough pride in the finished look to explain and offer alternatives at no extra cost. He was able to do everything we wanted and even allowed us to go with a granite he normally didn't carry to match what we already had in our kitchen.
