New customer. While the Sales Representative Cheri was professional and courteous, the overall communication and execution by others in this company did not meet reasonable expectations. I finance $3500 and I was charged $4533. I had made it very clear that I wanted to finance 3500 and I would pay cash for the remaining $1033.00 I signed a contract that clearly outlines the scope of work. Prior to installation, I received an email and text confirming the scheduled date, but no specific arrival time. When I called, I was only a general window of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no estimate of installation duration. I shouldn't have to call them! On the morning of installation, I contacted the company to request an ETA and was told the installation team would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Instead, I received a call as they were arriving. During that conversation with the installer, it became apparent that the installers were not familiar with the project details. The installer did not have photos of the installation area, despite the sales representative having taken many of them during the estimate, and I had to provide images myself. I had previously given clear instructions regarding where the carpet should begin and end. The installer stated that he "did not have the tools necessary to cut the carpet in a straight line" as requested. The installer also advised that the "existing flooring would not be removed and that installation would occur over it." The installer also stated stating " I'm not doing demolition because they don't pay me to do that." This conflicted with my contract. I contacted the installation manager to discuss the situation and was told I would receive a return call regarding available options. I did not receive a follow-up call. After the installation, I observed damage to my home, debris left behind, a bubble in the carpet where it meets the transition strip from not being tucked properly, and incomplete installation--some areas listed in the contract were not completed. The following morning, I called to inquire when the installers would return and was again given an 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM window. This is unprofessional. A customer should not be calling. I was provided a reference number and advised someone would contact me regarding the reported damage. I received a phone call the day before they're about to install the second portion of my project and was told unfortunately they don't have any more of the same carpet that I purchased. They were unwilling to provide me the discounted price for the same carpet once they get it back in stock and they also had a hard time with giving me a credit for the amount that I've already paid. At this point, based on communication issues, incomplete work, and damage concerns, I would not recommend this company. read more

Having used Empire in NC in 2009, I really wanted to use them again for our new house in Summerlin (LV,NV) this time too! As expected...they did NOT disappoint! :=) Not only did we have a very positive experience with Corey Parsons, the sales rep who met us at our new house in SCS, but we got the biggest discount in our entire lives! We picked out the padding and the new wall-to-wall carpeting and a few days later, they showed up and removed the old carpeting & padding and installed the new one! We are delighted with the new beige carpeting with tiny flicks of white in it and when we get the walls painted another shad of beige, they will compliment one another perfectly! The house had extremely dark brown wall-to-wall and it made it too dismal and dark for our taste. Now it's light & bright and we just cannot get over the difference! So once again...I cannot say enough about how easy it was to use Empire and instead of it being a stressful experience...it turned into a very positive, fun and enjoyable time for all! I have heard the empire jingle all my life. I wanted to go with a company that did everything themselves. My husband and I are not handyman at all. I emailed to make the appointment and Doug Olinger came on the date and time set. He walked through the process, acted as a buffer between my husband and I trying to decide on what we wanted as we bickered about it. He took his time and ensured we would have help to get our furniture moved even if he had to do it himself. On the day of install our bed needed to be taken apart and moved since it wasn't part of the furniture move. Doug brought his tools and came over to help us take care of it and move it so the install would be on time. He did this out of the kindness of his own heart and accepted no money/tip for doing it. Everything went smoothly and the install was completed as promised. After the install I was unhappy about my transition piece between my hardwood floors. Mine was severely damaged prior to my install, no fault of empire. My floors were 12 years old. So they replaced the old piece and matched it with the new one. Doug told me if I got the transition piece to match my original floor (mine has been discontinued) that was replaced he would install it to make sure I was happy with the entire job. I was able to locate a look alike and he came last night and replaced it On his own time. Again for no extra fees or monetary gain. I am happy now! We have the pleasure of having Cole over our home for an in-house estimate. We are very pleased with his presentation. Cole is very knowledgeable and provides his honest opinion for what we need. Cole was also able to provide us with multiple discounts. Cole came to our house with many flooring samples and explained the differences to us. It was very pleasant to talk to Cole and we didn't feel pressure to make the decision or sign contract right away. I'm very disappointed with Empire I had a guy come by to show me samples of the carpet that I needed for 2 rooms 2 closets. Name is Micheal Rainone. Very disappointed with this guy he made me sign a breach of contract after asking him what this is. He replied just about ppl coming by and the quality of the carpet the print was extremely tiny could not read it after taking 875.00 first payment. We set an appointment last Wednesday for them to come out Friday may 17 2024. Friday comes around no show no call I reached out to empire and Micheal. He said well will take 100 0ff Next day no show no call. Sun they don't work. Mon Tue Wednesday no call. Finally after reaching Empire 4 times. They assured me would be out May 23. Assure my house is upside down. 3 men came out. Not one word of English. They pulled the carpet out in the streets taking measurements walking on my carpet. I was so upset. Crying. Manager comes out. Told me they did not have enough carpet for the closets. So mad. They pretty much laughed at me. Such an embarrassing situation. They did do the 2 rooms. Today they did the closet. Would not do the 2 rooms until they got the remaining 525.00 called Micheal told him he was extremely unprofessional. And lied to me about the contract I wanted to cancel but they said oh well that will cost you 375.00. I said what. You serious. So I told them to do the job like 1 weeks ago later. update on earlier review After calling customer service about 6 times someone reChed out to the installation manager who reached out to the installers who informed him their truck broke down. The neither informed their manager or me, the customer! now they want to come tomorrow between 8 and 6! Are you kidding me?!!! Told me they don't give specifi time appointments. Really? Because the girl in the office gave me a 10:00 a.m. appointment today. I asked why the customer isn't notified of delays or cancellations? He claims he had no idea about anything. Nobody knows anything with this company. Nobody answers the phone even when the customer service representatives try to call them. The installation manager said he just found out about the truck when I did. Finally agreed to to tomorrow between 8-10 a.m. This company is terrible. we couldn't be happier with our new vinyl plank flooring. The 3 man team worked tirelessly to get it done for us, as we had to board our two dogs and wanted them home ASAP. Buyer beware, this company doesn't care about their customers. My sister purchased flooring for her whole house. Mark was her consultant and decided to split the house into two jobs. . this is a maybel 1200 sq ft home. . not big. she paid for it in full. . . told him she had reservations about doing that since all the work was not completed. he assured her everything was included and they just ran out of flooring. he has been putting her off for months now and has been telling her he is having a rough time, financial problems. . not her problem. . she notified the store and they just sent her back to him. . someone who now is trying to charge her to do the rest of her flooring. she has already paid for this in full. . this company doesn't seem to care about customers at all. only ripping them off!!!! the folks that came out and actually did the work on the rooms that were completed were excellent and were confused why they didn't do the whole job in the first place. I received advertising in the mail from Empire Today for discounts on flooring & carpeting. There was what appeared to be a good sale. I am in need of replacing carpeting with flooring in my home and this may be a good time to get it done. I made an appointment, with a two-hour window, for an estimator to come to my home. The date and time has come and gone without anyone from Empire Today showing for the appointment, nor calling to cancel or reschedule. I called and spoke to an operator who asked me if I wanted to reschedule, of course, I declined. I decided not to be angry, but thankful. The more I think about it, the more I am grateful to be shown what a nightmare it would be to do business with a company that has such disregard and disrespect for their potential customers. read more
