After multiple unanswered calls and messages throughout that week, I visited the office in person to inquire about the status. At that time, Marjorie informed me that Richard had just returned from the hospital and had not yet been able to begin working on our taxes. While I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise, I would have appreciated proactive communication and the option to have another preparer assist us. Unfortunately, no such communication or alternative was offered. I chose to proceed and give the benefit of the doubt. By March 29, our taxes were completed, and I visited the office to sign the paperwork and paid for electronic filing. As of April 20, we had still not received our refund. Upon contacting the IRS, I was informed that no return had been filed under my Social Security number. After again being unable to reach anyone by phone, my husband went to the office and was told by Rina that their system is backlogged and that our taxes had not yet been filed. Rina also informed me that their system backlog was an ongoing issue since before I dropped off my taxes on 3/7/26 so I do not understand why nothing was ever communicated to us. This was extremely concerning and frustrating, as we were never notified of any delays or system issues. At no point during my interactions with Lehua (March 7), Marjorie (March 14), or Richard (March 29) was any potential delay or backlog communicated. The lack of transparency and failure to provide timely updates is unacceptable. Although Rina apologized and provided a contact number for Miriam (owners wife) I have been unable to reach hGiven the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund and will be taking our tax filing elsewhere. Clear and timely communication is essential in matters of this importance, and unfortunately, that standard was not met. As a result, I have lost confidence and trust in their services and will not be returning.

Some things to note are the parking situation. There is very limited parking spaces in the lot and parking is tight. The AC can get pretty cold if you're gonna be there for a while, so bring acceptable layers to wear. Make sure you follow all the rules/ guidelines/ policies/ procedures that Pearson gives you for your specific tests! Including proper forms of identification to bring when checking in. I like that they include directions on how to get to the testing center in the appointment confirmation page. It can get pretty busy if a lot of people have scheduled their test for the same time frame, so arrive about 30 minutes early to give yourself time. Please turn off your phones. They provide lockers to store your belonging in while you're taking the test. The key stays with you the whole time. There are locked bathrooms down the hallway and a water fountain available. Here are the directions I included in my previous review, just in case: "This testing center is located in the Ala Moana Building. Street level, the building is across from the Ala Moana Shopping Center and Target (Keeaumoku St. and Kapiolani Blvd). There is a Bank of Hawaii on the 1st floor. Pearson Professional Center is on the 2nd floor of the building, Room #204. If looking from Ala Moana Shopping Center, it's directly across from Genki Sushi. They share the same parking lot. I had a going away gift for a Cub Scout pack member that needed to be done at the last minute. I searched Oahu for engraving shops and came upon Engraving Hawaii. Previously I had passed by it a couple times while walking around the Schofield Exchange, but never looked in before. I walked in and there were two customers in front of me. Nick was helping other customers and told me he would assist me as soon as he could. When it was my turn, I explained what I needed and when I needed it, but Nick explained they had an influx of rush jobs that needed to be completed. He let me know that it was unlikely to be finished by the requested date, and I was ok with it, because I tend to follow the saying, "Poor planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine." That evening, I receive a text message from the shop requesting I proof-read and approve the layout. They got the layout exactly how I requested and I quickly replied it was perfect. I was afraid to think that it might get finished in time, but their quick draft gave me a glimmer of hope that it would be ready in time. The next day I got a message telling me the item was ready. I rushed over to the shop and sure enough it was completed and looked fantastic. Because of Engraving Hawaii, we were able to present the award at the banquet for the departing member! I was so impressed with the friendly and professional service. The team is really customer-focused, and based on what I was hearing from their interactions with the other customers they were going to try everything in their power to get requests just right.
