Rode out to Gardena/Torrance after work to meet up some friends and started off our evening with some pho! I hadn't eaten close to 24 hours so I was absolutely famished. I had just told them that I was very picky about pho, especially recently. A lot of my go-to spots have been disappointing lately so I was craving a good bowl of pho - one that really hits the spot and Oh My Pho did just that. The moment we pulled into the parking lot I was like, "I have a good feeling about this place." I walked in and was immediately greeted with a deep aromatic smell of pho in the air. All 3 of us ordered their Pho Combination which has it all: Sliced brisket, sliced eye round, tripe, tendon, meatballs. We also ordered their shaken beef rice platter to share. Before digging into my bowl, I took a long deep smell of the broth as if I was taking the fattest bong rip known to mankind. It only got better from there though because the broth tasted as good as it smelled. Incredibly flavorful. All the flavors were balanced -- salty, sweet, umami. The noodles were cooked almost perfect (I like my noodles very al dente), but the doneness was definitely the kind that would suit everyone's preference. The shaken beef was delicious too. The meat was very tender and they mixed fries in which isn't typical/common, but it was really good! The rice was made perfectly too, at least to my preference. Only (minor) complaints were my bowl not being hot enough which is funny because I like my food cold, but certain things need to be piping hot like noodle soup. Also there wasn't very much meat in the shaken beef dish. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. Their tendon is very easy to eat as most places can tend to overly hard. Good amount of tripe as well. The portions of meat given were a lot. There are only 2 things which could make this a solid 5/5 bowl. Hopefully owner reads this. The broth has to be served piping hot. Like burn under the gums temperature. After getting to the second half of finishing the meal , you get fatigued because the soup isn't hot enough which makes it harder to finish. Secondly, the broth needs just a little more salt content. Tried this pho place out on a Sunday night around 7 pm. They have parking in the back but it can get dark. Enter through the front and seat yourself since they weren't busy. It was pretty stuffy inside cause they didn't have AC on. We got the combination pho which came with beef meatballs, tripe, tendon, brisket, and steak. There was also noticeable black pepper on top of the onions and meat. I should have taken a pic. Again, that's fine, just different. I like to taste the broth before I pour in to the bowl and definitely peppery and more fatty than others I've had. Overall it was not for me. We also ordered the deep fried wonton, which on DoorDash, said was pork-filled, but was actually cream cheese, so don't make the same mistake I did. We were around the area and we were really craving some pho and it was so worth it! The food is amazing and it comes out pretty quickly. We started off with some egg rolls as an appetizer and we decided to share the chicken fried rice per our server recommendation she said it is really good and that it was the best thing on the menu and man was she right!! That rice was exquisite, I'm still dreaming about it! I loved how much noodles were inside the pho and it was super tasty. The service was a bit slow and we had to keep asking for stuff but the food made up for it! We were not disappointed at all. The staff is super welcoming and the place is pretty big. I've known this location for many many years and it's been through many owners. I recently came back and Oh My Pho is this place amazing! I ordered a combination pho and a Vietnamese coffee. Their coffee put most coffee shop and drink shop who serves Vietnamese coffee to shame! This place uses traditional ingredients that takes you back to the late 90's when everything tasted so much better. After checking out two pho places with one unfortunately being closed my mom and I found ourselves in the back parking lot of "Oh My Pho". Oh My Pho is situated in a long strip mall with the instructions out front to park in the rear. Now the rear is a little dark and sketch, but do not let that stop you from going. As you walk in past the kitchens and into the dining room you will be warmly greeted by staff. They made my mother and I feel right at home. It was a little chilly in there and the waiter brought us warm green tea. It was amazing and so warm and did not need any sugar at all. After checking out the menu my mom went with the chicken noodle soup and I with the shrimp soup! Wow and wow! The pho came out so fast and pipping hot. I absolutely loved the softness of the noodles and the mix of spices. I also liked that we were able to add mint, basil, and bamboo shoots to the soup and really make it our own. I think I may have over did it with the shiracha and peppers, but it was worth it! The only negative was the shrimp was a little tough. Overall the service and food were amazing! The meat patty in this dish is sooooo yummy!!! 9/10 recommend! Dish #3 was the BBQ Beef ribs with broken rice and an egg. The dish was good but nothing over the top. It's just basic rice with 1 beef rib which was on the salty side and a fried egg. Presentation was nice for a Togo order! My honest review for this dish is a mid 7/10, it's a good dish but I wouldn't order it again. Lastly, we order an appetizer combo plate with consisted of Egg rolls, fries, cream cheese wontons, shrimp tempura, and shrimp spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce, ketchup, and peanut sauce. The appetizer was good! I loved the shrimp spring rolls because they used Banh Hoi instead of Bun and it gives it a different taste that I enjoyed. Am very happy to have found this hidden gem and all thanks to a brother that wanted to drink hot soup early Saturday morning and this place so happens to be open. There's parking on the street and in the back so plenty to go around. Unlike majority of the pho places, you can mix and match the meat however you want without incurring extra charges, that was a bonus for me as I enjoy rare steak, brisket, flank and tendons :) all the meat were soft and delicious. The broth was good enough where I didn't need to add any sauce. We also ordered the fried egg rolls (we devoured it before I got a chance to take pics but get it, it's delicious) we also ordered the filet mignon w rice - highly highly highly recommended by the owner (forgot to confirm) and it was so bomb.com soft and juicy. Came here based on the high ratings. Honestly, it's just average. The food itself was good but not great. I've had better pho and egg rolls elsewhere. I couldn't tell if the egg rolls were homemade or frozen... for the price I don't think it was worth it. The service was good. Food came out fast but we were never checked on once we got our food. No check came either so we just ended up walking to the waiter. The atmosphere on the inside is dated but not terrible. It was clean. The area this restaurant is located in is very sketch. We came for dinner and we felt very unsafe. The back parking lot has no lights, people hanging out in the dark areas, bars on all the windows of the stores. Ordered from Oh My Pho via DoorDash and--oh my pho, indeed! Pho is notoriously tricky as a delivery item, but everything showed up hot, neatly packaged, and downright delicious. The combination pho was loaded with tender meats, the broth had that cozy, soul-hugging depth, and everything tasted like it came straight out of the kitchen, not a delivery bag. The spring rolls were crisp, fresh, and wrapped so tightly they deserved a gold medal in burrito-rolling. I especially loved that they were double wrapped in plastic wrap to survive that delivery ride! A couple of tiny quirks: I found myself wishing for more hoisin and sriracha (because is there even such a thing as "too much sauce"?), as they only gave one packet of each per pho dish. And instead of the usual lemon wedge, they sent lime--which isn't bad, but felt a little off. Overall, this was such a satisfying delivery meal. Comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
