I came in last night with my wife and daughter after getting a coupon in the mail for a free entree. We were all excited to try this place. We arrived around 5pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. In addition to the coupon there were other specials going on: kids eat free and a free crepe for checking in on yelp. Our waitress seemed pretty annoyed that I wanted to use the coupon and check in for the free crepe. She actually argued with me saying the yelp check in offer had expired (it hadn't) and that it was only valid on a future visit (it wasn't). She finally walked away and i heard her talking to someone else on the phone (maybe the manager). She then came back said i'd be allowed to get the free crepe-- i said no thanks. After our food came i could tell she felt bad about the interaction and apologized many times. The food itself was fine. The free enchiladas were ok and my wife's stacker was good. My daughter enjoyed her mac and cheese. In the end the waitress made us one of the crepes (with chocolate sauce and banana/strawberry) anyways which actually wasn't bad. read more

I ordered the strawberry banana Nutella crepe for over $9 and Nutella was missing and the food was cold. The actual crepe itself was ok but the meal was definitely overpriced for the quality you are receiving. The bananas were not as fresh as they should have been. I also ordered a vanilla iced coffee which I thought was pretty good. A little sweet but if you like your coffee on the sweeter side you'll like this one, although I do think this coffee was overpriced as well. read more

This new location is busy on a Sunday morning for brunch as it should be! The restaurant itself is nice and new in good ol nice casual diner style with comfy seats and able to fit a large number of people. I really liked how much variety they had in their menu from some of the lighter options, the usual options, and then the Mexican options too. Lots to choose from. Above average diner type classic breakfast and lunch foods. Plenty of parking in the lot and a short wait as a steady stream of people flowed into the place. They don't seem to have enough servers as I noted a lot of empty tables with a large group of people waiting for seats. Servers were mostly quick and bustling around. We did have to wait a while for our bill as we couldn't find our server or the manager at that time. Other than that service was prompt and our food came out in good time. Foodwise you'll get all your classic breakfast options here with a smattering of some more unique choices. There were some lighter omelettes using only egg whites and without potatoes and pancakes. Most omelettes came with 2 pancakes and potatoes too. Some Mexican breakfast options too. I peeked at the lunch menu and it looked like the usual suspects of burgers, sandwiches, salads and the like. MACHACA My hubs got this one and while he ate the entire thing it was just fine. Good but nothing special about it. He ended up using all three of the hot sauces provided to mix it up a little. SPINACH, MUSHROOM AND TOMATO OMELETTE OF EGG WHITES I don't usually get egg whites cause it ends up being pretty much a blah meal but I had such a heavy dinner last night I decided to just try it. I enjoyed this version where they scrambled the egg whites with spinach which compensated for the dryness of egg whites. The mushrooms were sliced large and were juicy and nicely grilled which also really helped offset dry egg whites. Overall, not a ton of flavor other than what I got from the mushrooms, but this isn't a type of dish where people expect that. Some fresh fruit on the side and so completes my light breakfast. Perhaps other dishes here are better but for now I do like their wide variety of options and wouldn't mind coming back to try their chilaquiles to see how that tastes. read more

This is our second time coming in our first time was when it was just recently opened. And the service was great at that time. But this time it was just horrible. The service wasn't great at all. I ordered food from this restaurant by a referral. My co worker claimed their food was great and the price is high because it's great quality of food. I ordered French toast combo. Comes with 2 eggs hash browns and 2 bacon and 2 French toast slices. When I went to pick it up I paid around 18 dollars for the food. Then when I opened the container the food portion looked thin. This is my favorite Café near my area. I took my mother here for her 50th birthday, mind you I never told any of the waitresses it was. We were greeted promptly and very kindly. The menu had so many delicious and various choices and the best part about it is that there's photos of everything AND the prices are super affordable. Our server, Yudy, was very attentive and friendly and she took a photo for my mom and I, and at the end of it, brought my mom a little surprise and they all sung Happy Birthday to her. Ordered 2 plates and 2 drinks and came out to $38.00 minus tip. Now i wouldn't complain if the food was actually good, but it was just ok. My issue is with those prices. Thats about the only thing thats "loaded" here. $15.00 for a MEATLESS chilequilles plate (on the value menu at that) and it wasnt anything special. I didnt even eat half of it. My child had 2 eggs/2 bacon/2 pancakes ($9.99). Eggs were super runny, bacon beyond greasy and the pancakes fell apart just trying to get them off the plate. I was also charged $5.00 for the smallest cup of black coffee i have ever seen. Starbucks wouldnt even do me that dirty. The restaurant is nice inside and waitresses are friendly. I was around the plaza one day and seen this place. So, I decided to take the family for breakfast. I was very pleased with the place. Even if there was a lot of people the wait was not at all long. I ordered the Surprise Surprise and I liked it a lot. I don't recall what everyone ordered, but we were all very satisfied. We did get the Clam Chowder and that was pleasant. There was this guy, he might have been the manager, but he was very kind. He seen my daughter not feeling too well because she was ill and she would not touch her Mac and Cheese, so he brought her a Chicken Noodle soup on the house. Amazing! We went on a weekday afternoon and it was not busy at all. I'm certain they are slammed on weekends. Menu is very extensive. Hard to decide what to order, but we all ended up with breakfast. We had the biscuit and gravy with sausage, eggs and hash browns plate. The gravy isn't Mom's, but very good. Biscuits were excellent. Also the strawberry cheesecake pancakes were good. And the breakfast burrito was great. They have some hot sauce options on the table and they were all really good. Service was good. Martin the Manager was wonderful! Stopped in this morning for the first time and was greeted by the hostess (Emilyn) and the manager (Hispanic gentlemen). They explained the menu to me and recommended their chipotle chicken burrito. Loaded Cafe Lawndale has opened. I passed by everyday on my commute waiting for the Now Open sign. I dine frequently at the El Segundo Blvd location so I knew the food was solid. My visit Jan 6 was a positive experience. Greeted and seated upon arrival. Choice of booths or tables. Significantly more space than the Gardena location. Currently no wait for seating at 10am on a Saturday morning. I started my breakfast with hot chocolate. My breakfast order strawberry and blueberry waffle combo with eggs and bacon (I added ham strips). This location offers excellent customer service (some of the employees are from other locations) and the same quality food that LC is consistent for, but in a more comfortable dining atmosphere than the Gardena location. Came here after work because I was craving an omelette- made a "build your own". Kept it simple with just eggs and salsa! Super tasty! The super French boyfriend ordered a nutella crepe (of course!) Martin, although he wasn't our waiter, (Monique was and she also did an excellent job) but Martin checked up on us a few times, brought us refills on our strawberry lemonade (without charging us extra!!) brought EXTRA whip cream! (Again, without charging us extra!), asked if I wanted extra fresh strawberries and bananas but at this point I felt super bad and didn't want to take advantage so I declined the extremely generous offer. It's the little things that go a long way! He was extremely accommodating and I am definitely coming back because he really knows how to run a restaurant and make you feel special! Good food, great for dine in or delivery! The staff is always pleasant and I've never had to wait for a booth. The only complaint has nothing to do with their company, but parking is scarce, so you might have to squeeze in between two care which aren't parked properly at times or park far away. My family and I drove from Fort Hood/Killeen, TX to visit family in Los Angeles. We ate at the Loaded Cafe quite a bit because the food was so delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was great and the manager and staff were friendly and respectful. We ate here on Father's Day and the restaurant was packed with people waiting. But I waited in line because I refused to eat at any other place. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for some tasty foods. read more

My first experience here was awesome. I think the food is great, a little costly for the amount of food you receive, but it's pretty good. My visit today is the reason for my 2 star rating. I was highly disappointed with my servers attitude with myself and my family. I won't put her name out there. But it seemed like anything I asked her she made a snappy come back. Even my kids noticed. I can not express how respectful and friendly I am, until someone disrespect me. I use to be a server, to I know how stressful it can be.
