The Lobsta Roll
Lien D.

Have you ever had a lobster roll in Boston? those darn Main lobsters are ridiculously good. Who knew this portable food truck could bring that same quality over to us in the west coast! Best of all, they drive to locations all over LA and OC so follow them on their website to find out where their next location will be parked. This Lobsta Roll....ohmahgerrrd. Super buttery and tender......very flavorful and just the right amount of mayo on that bread so that it doesn't take away the lobster taste. I feel guilty sometimes for order TWO orders for myself. $12 is a lil steep.....$24 is a bit cray but i'll do it.....sometimes you just gotta get your fix! Note to Self: their website tells you the locations and dates. Their clam chowder is amazing too!

I'm not usually a fan of any food truck that doesn't serve buche and tripas tacos. But the Lobsta Truck might be that one exception in a world of overpriced, oversauced korean fusion crap. The lobster roll with butter came with big chunks of lobster meat on a lightly toasted bun, and tasted quite fresh. I enjoyed it a lot more than the mayo one. The rolls were a little small in size, but I would have no problem putting away two of these on my own. I like this truck tho because you get exactly what you expect to get. Fresh lobster without any of the bs. And for those who complain about the price, $12 is not expensive for a lobster roll. I would gladly pay that much for another one.

Itty bitty...about 4.5" long. You can see it's mostly claw meat.

Really disappointing. They were tiny and expensive. Also, how can you call it a lobster "roll" when it's served on a piece of bread. And, bad white bread, no less. It looked like it was half a slice of Texas toast sliced down the middle, then stuffed. The chowder was thin, but flavor was ok. I won't be visiting this truck again. I'll try Cousins next time.

On our food truck excursion tonight my daughter and son decided to order their dinner from the Lobsta Truck!! The menu is simple with a lobster or crab roll either in butter or mayo, a bisque and or clam chowder. They have bags of chips to choose from as a side. My daughter got the crab roll with butter. This I believe was $11 and once we got it, not too big in size. It did have a good portion of crab meat and tasted pretty good. Doesn't come with any sides so she grabbed a bag of sea salt and vinegar chips. My son got the cup of clam chowder which is $4. The soup is creamy and tasted delicious. I would rate it 4 stars. They didn't provide any crackers and when I went to ask them for some they said they had ran out. Crackers with the soup is a must so my son was a bit bummed. They could have offered a piece of bread but nothing was given. Service was lacking. When we walked up the guy in the truck was hunched over and didn't greet us. Placed our order and the mood was just down. I would be back for the soup though it was yummy!!

Bloody hell... the lobsta roll with butter is friggin delicious!!! The lobster meat is nestled gently on a garlic bread roll and I was pleasantly suprised how much lobster they gave you. I only wish the rolls weren't so expensive... I can't wait to try the lobster bisque next!

This food truck was outside of my office building and I told my coworker because I knew she liked lobster rolls...She's been to the Cousin's Lobster Truck? But once I told her it was outside our building, she told me to come with her. I wanted to just look, but ended up trying it anyway! What I got: Lobster Roll w/ Butter ($13): so you have your choice of getting it with butter or with mayo. Co worker told me to get it with butter since it seems like you get extra meat. $13 is kind of price-y in my opinion for what came out. I thought it was going to be like lobster in a hot dog bun, but it was actually on a piece of folded bread! Bread was grilled/toasted in butter it seemed and I could eat the bread by itself! Lobster didn't have a funny after taste and it was more lobster than I expected. Definitely worth a try! Service: There wasn't a long line to begin with so taking our order and getting our food was pretty quick. Not sure if I would pay $13 for it again, but it will definitely be tempting if they come by again...

Chew your food or you might choke on whole chunk of lobster!! It was definitely worth $13. These weren't shredded and not drenched in sauce; light and flavorful, perfect for this hot weather... I also had the clam chowder. It didn't taste like the ones you have at the restaurant; it'smore sweet than salty. Can't say it's my favorite but it's not bad. Still need to try lobster bisque next time.

So worth the $13 for the lobster roll. It was loaded with meat. Simple and delicious! Craving another one already!!

I got the lobster bisque pint size for $12 and got basically a bunch of running heavy cream with not even 1 piece of lobster in the soup. Huge mistake. My total order came to $17 and I got running "soup", a small bag of chips, and a soda. Unreal.

Lobster and crab rolls are good and meaty, but way overpriced. For $12 I could've eaten in a Chinese buffet with all the crab legs I want.

Make sure you go to the right location. There's plenty of street parking. It is a truck, so no seats or tables, but that's not an issue, just eat in your car LOL. Now the food....one of the best birria I've had. I ordered 2 crunchy tacos with cheese. They were sooooo good. Perfect amount of cheese, meat and the tortilla was crispy just how I like it. The consome, wow! It was very flavorful, tasted like actual consome. Other places it'll either taste like too many condiments/spices or watered down. This one though was 100% consome. I don't dip my tacos, I sip on my consome, so I did add a little lime, but still was able to taste how good the actual broth was. I didn't try the green salsa, but my bf liked it, he said it wasn't spicy. The red one, I did try, and it was perfect for me. It has a little kick at first, but then it's not too bad. Really good salsa though. Highly recommend the red for the tacos. They also have Mexican sodas, Coke, Sprite, Jarritos, and I forgot what else. The service is great. Didn't get his name, but he was really nice and friendly. We just went yesterday, but planning on going back today.

Omg so upset we took so long to try. I went after work and messaged thru instagram to find out where he was located. In the bend behind where you usually see him. So got the tacos for my boyfriend and I got the quesadilla. Absolutely delicious. Moist and flavorful couldn't get enough. All the sides and fixins! Such a pleasant owner too. I cannot recommend more and can't wait to take my friend on lunch soon. Thank you for a wonderful dinner that night! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

We have had The Burnt Truck's food before and really enjoyed everything we ate so I was excited to see that they had a catering option. I reached out to The Burnt Truck a couple months before our daughter's party to get more information on how their catering would work for a private event. Minh immediately got back to me with menu options and pricing. We reserved the date, made our deposit, and they took care of the rest! We had around 60-70 guests and each person got to choose from four sandwich options (cheeseburger slider, friend chicken slider, mozzarella slider, or PB&J slider) as well as their choice of fries or tots. The standard time slot for private events is 2 hours of food service, but since our party was longer than that, we opted to pay for an extra 2 hours of time. In the end it worked out perfectly because our party was on the smaller side and our guests were able to get food at the start of the party, then go back and order seconds later on before the party was over. Thank you to Minh and team, the food was excellent and our guests were 100% satisfied! I would definitely recommend The Burnt Truck for easy, stress-free catering!

We had about 300 guests and brought out two trucks to ensure quick service. It was the right call -- the lines moved fast, no one was stuck waiting, and the entire flow felt organized and seamless. For an event where timing and guest experience really matter, that level of efficiency was huge. The food was outstanding across the board. The steak tacos were a crowd favorite -- perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The potato tacos were incredible and didn't feel like a "secondary" option at all. The quesadillas were fresh, melty, and made to order. Everything tasted vibrant and high quality. What impressed us most was how professional and prepared the team was. They showed up early, set up quickly, and handled the volume with confidence. The trucks looked clean, modern, and added to the atmosphere of the event. If you're looking for large group food truck catering in Southern California -- whether it's vendor appreciation, corporate hospitality, or a client event -- The Lime Truck has the capacity and operational strength to execute without stress. [Parking]: $15 per vehicle for on-site parking just to enter the OC Fair & Event Center. [Admission]: Our party purchased the same-day tickets and paid a $16 per person entry fee. [What to expect]: The market was approximately half food vendors and half arts / crafts / gift vendors. There were solid craft and gift vendors, but not too many art vendors. The food was extremely overpriced ... a simple appetizer = at least $15+ & a filling meal = at least $25. The only real positive? There was a mahjong area that offered free lessons. The performance stage was alright. [Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. I am still having a hard time digesting the fact that getting into the market cost $30+ before even buying any food if I come here alone and I would also need to spend another $25+ just to feel like I had eaten a legit meal. I am good with this one-and-done visit.
