This is an interesting restaurant. They serve Vietnamese pho dishes along with créole dishes. I've never tried their creole but I do love pho. I highly recommend checking this place out for pho. The bowls are big and hefty with a lot of soup, meat and vegetables. I usually get the beef pho. They have spicy and mild options so there's something for everyone. I will start out with the good side. Flavor is good, the portions are generous, the price is right, the service is quick, and I have enjoyed this restaurant when I have eaten here twice before. However... Today I ordered the brisket pho, which in itself was fine. But imagine my surprise when I opened the noodle and vegetable box (I ordered out), and found a nice large patch of mold on the slices of jalapeno peppers that were included with my food. I know enough about food safety to know that the mold isn't inherently toxic, but it makes me a bit worried when the people preparing my food miss something as obvious as a relatively large spot of food mold. I tossed the peppers and avoided anything decay-adjacent, and eating the rest of the meal was enjoyable. I would give this place 4 or even 5 stars, but the inattention to fairly large details like that might give me some pause before I patronize this location again. read more

However, Lobster was rubbery and the shrimp was not deveined. The garnish on the side was welted, must have prepped the garnish days ago. Ate there around 2pm. Haven't had much food since. We are both bloated, gassy, and alot of stomach cramping. It all started yesterday around 6pm. I woke up in pain, afraid to leave my house now. My brother told me about this place about 3 weeks ago because of their Lobster Roll sandwich. He described the sandwich as big, overflowing with contents. I'm on a low carb diet so I decided to just order their Pho, which is good. But about 10 minutes ago, I decided to try their $17 Lobster Roll and was presented with a hotdog bun with lobster meat and about 10 fries for $17! I actually went back into the place to make sure I was given the right sandwich. I can't believe I was charged so much for so little. It is a great place for group meals, and super convenient in conjunction with Movie Night outings at the nearby Cinemark Valleyview about 5 minutes away - Our OCA Dragon movie gang has grabbed dinner and movie quite a few times since the restaurant opened in summer 2018. Food options: 1) Vietnamese-Cajun style seafood boil in a bag, either get some of their set combinations or order specific seafoods by the pound, then select a flavor/sauce. Comes with bib and gloves so put them to good use as this seafood is meant to be picked, sucked, slurped, and enjoyed. I've had their "Ultimate" seafood combination. The team also went when they had a Two-Lobster combo special, and we ordered 10 lobsters total along with other goodies. These seafood bags include sausage, corn on cob, and potatoes. 2) Pho noodle soup, available in several varieties, including traditional beef, chicken, shrimp, and the previously mentioned Lobster Pho. Early reviews from when they first opened mentioned the broth did not have enough flavor... I believe they made adjustments as a result. My first few visits, I got the seafood bags. By the time I started eating their Pho, I thought it was good. Not the BEST in Cleveland, but still very good - especially the Lobster Pho which isn't available elsewhere - it is a good treat once in a while - lobster prices apply. :) 3) Misc other items like fried oysters, fried calamari, Korean fried chicken wings, and Lobster rolls -- I've had them all and they are all good. My favorite is the fried oysters. The lobster rolls are good although small - again, lobster prices apply. Bottom line, Lobster and Pho has been a welcome addition to the Cleveland food scene and for Southern burbs away from AsiaTown, it's a great place to get a pho fix. When time isn't pressing, ordering Vietnamese/Cajun style seafood in a bag is a messy and very delicious flavorful meal. I went in for the beef pho...I just had a craving that needed to be satisfied! In St.Louis I'm used to Thai basil, cilantro and and other Asian herbs to go in with bean sprouts, lime wedge...so right away I was disappointed to only see regular basil. The pho and noodles were ok. If I was not comparing to my two favorites in St. Louis it was decent. Everyone else was eating these seafood bags so I think they are more known for that. The crab was grainy usually. The crawfish, mussels and shrimp Were yummy. The ear of corn wasn't edible . We did enjoy the spring rolls very much. Tried this restaurant for the first time. I was hesitant at first because of some reviews but had a craving for pho and did not have time to go to my favorite place. Pleasantly surprised. Got the signature pho. The broth was a little bland compared to other places and I could not taste any familiar flavors that come from spices like anise or cardamon. We decided to dine in. We ordered the fried oysters as an appetizer. We also ordered the lobster roll sandwich. I have to say that the lobster sandwich needed more mayo and needed some greens on it. It lacked flavor. The fries that came with it were nice and crispy. I thought it was kinda high priced for what you actually got. We also got the seafood pot which had shrimp, corn, crab, sausage, potatoes, mussels, clams, and crawfish. We got their recommend seasoning blend with the medium spice level. They've definitely improved since opening. We came here a few months ago and was really disappointed in the food, particularly the lobster roll portion size and taste. The fried lobster tail then and same. Having lived on the east coast for 6 years and reading the reviews, expected better. The saving grace was the roti canai and the curry sauce that comes with it. We asked for extra sauce and was charged for it, but did not come with our order. Also, wish there is a substitute for the fries, for carryout. Frozen fries are not made to be eaten or heated up an hour later. Yuk! We ordered again yesterday and was pleasantly surprised as the lobster roll was excellent, but again, we asked for extra sauce and was not included. Take note - the spicy seafood Pho broth, noodles are excellent but do not order. There were 2 giant clams that were so chewy and huge, inedible to the point of spitting them out. The shrimp surprisingly were overcooked and not fresh. It's difficult to order seafood Pho if they cook the seafood with the broth as it overcooks the fish. So for $18 bowl of Pho, would not order again which was too bad as the broth and noodles were really good! The salt/pepper calamari was good, very fresh but too much breading. Oysters were borderline fresh. If you eat here, definitely order the roti canai. It's as good as Pacific East with their curry sauce. We'll be back when in the area. I've had two different Pho here and both were tasty. I got them to go, so I was a bit saddened that the rare beef wasn't. But, when sitting in the broth, cooking, there's not much to be done. The broth in both Pho was the show stopper. Warm, savory and slightly sweet. It was lovely. Perfect for those days where you're chilled to the bone and need some comfort. The pho was good, but you don't get as many toppings for it as most other places. The broth was good though, and I'd order again. I really liked the seafood boil though, so I'd come back more for that. It was spiced perfectly, and also came with corn, sausage, and potatoes. We also ordered a side of fries which were coated in crunchy deliciousness. Our kids shared the chicken with green curry and it was REALLY good. The curry sauce was sweet and flavorful and the chicken had a really good breading on it. It's a small place, with modern tables and a TON of TVs. They have a small bar, and a good happy hour cocktail and beer list. It's in a plaza, so you can't see it from the main road. I love seafood. And I love Pho. And I never had a place to go to get both until today. Now, this is a pretty natural thing to put together. Louisiana-inspired seafood boils and Vietnamese cuisine make perfect sense when you consider the number of Vietnamese people who live in Southern Louisiana (and all along the gulf coast) whose families originally came to the region to be fishermen. And that's possibly the story here; I'm told the owner is in fact from Louisiana. Lobster and Pho opened officially just today, so this review comes with that grain of salt that you should fairly take with a brand new place. I visited around 9 PM due to my daughter having a swim meet. It was too late to eat what I can honestly say is my favorite SE Asian food, pho. However, the server (Sarah) was really kind and brought me a small bowl of the broth to try at my request. They do house make their broth, which is an important criteria to me because the broth defines the dish, the restaurant and the cook that makes it. In this case, I give the broth a thumbs up. It had that velvety, unctuous mouth feel that is just perfect, gives it body and texture to support all the delicious things that will go in. I could taste the aromatics but they weren't overwhelming the excellent beef flavor. Very balanced in my opinion. I am very much looking forward to pho being closer to home, and there are 5 variations between $8 and $12 per order. It's pretty casual in terms of atmosphere; they have a full bar and taps, several televisions and a very uncrowded floor plan with tables for probably a total of 30 seated diners plus the bar. I ordered fried calamari and fried shrimp for carry out. The time lapse between order and getting my food was just over 30 minutes, a little long for two fried items in my opinion but they are good. There were six butterflied shrimp and a generous helping of batter dipped calamari for $10 each. My gut feeling was that the calamari order was worth the ten and the shrimp was probably also worth the ten but make the container look a little empty. I give them four stars, extra credit for being nice enough to talk about the place and give me some pho broth to try, deduction for time waiting. I'm looking forward to going back and updating this review to five stars. Ingenious fusion of two food genres that did not disappoint! Tried a bit of everything from a crab boil that might be found in Louisiana, to a lobster pho representing a Vietnamese classic. Loved, Loved, Loved.. My daughter and I shared the beginners boiling seafood and it was Awesome! We picked the Cajun style with 'just a Kick' spice. We also, tried the spring which I wasn't a fan of as much. I think it was the peanut sauce with it that I really didn't like. But overall there was enough seafood for the both and we were very satisfied at the end. It's a bit messy so be aware. I've been to lots of boiling seafood and they usually have tablecloths (paper).
