I love this place. Awesome to go with kids and a big party because you can order your drinks at the bar and food at the window. Tons of space for corn hole and outdoor games. There was live music when we were there. The window service and bar are fast and friendly and the menu has something for everyone with seafood offerings but also chicken and wraps. We go here yearly around the 4th of July and while it's busy it's a great place to go and sit outside and eat with a large group. read more

Super cute outdoor bar/restaurant scene. Came here on a summer evening with my family, lots of great music playing. There was a fire pit that was turned on that was great. Lots of outdoor seating on picnic tables, and it was a very lively environment. Parking can be a bit tough - small lot! You order at the window first and then they call out your order so you have to stay around and listen. Then it's open seating! Food was good and yummy. I really like the hotdog. This was one of my favorite spots on my last trip to Maine. While it doesn't have a view of the ocean it is tucked away in the trees and that has its own comfort. My group each got the lobster roll with house chips and then made our way to the bar to get drinks. Food came out quickly and we were able to find a picnic table. While I was in the mood for a warm roll with butter this roll was the best cold one I've ever had. Local music was happening to the side with the stage but we were still able to talk comfortably. After a week of lobster rolls in Prince Edward Island, we stopped in York Maine for dinner while our way home. After eating at Lobster in the Rough, I understood why everyone calls it a Maine lobster roll and not a PEI lobster roll. Maine puts the big chunks of lobster meat pulled right out of the shell onto your roll. The meat isn't cut up, chopped or minced. It's just big recognizable chunks of lobster meat on your roll. The place is outside but there is a lot of places to sit as well as a bar. There's also live music in the evening and games for kids and adults. The food is amazing. We ordered fish and chips and 2 angus burgers. I asked if the fries could be switched with Onion Rings and you can. The burgers came with pickles and homemade potato chips. They are thickly cut and crunchy; and very addicting. The fish n "chips" were also delicious. The fish wasn't your typical battered fish nugget. Of course they started doing it again, because it's fun, and as I mentioned, there is NOTHING else for them to do so she came back and yelled at them again as well as some random guy who said they weren't even his kids. But it was perfectly OK for the people to use the rakes and drag those back-and-forth on the Bacchi court creating massive dust clouds. My wife and went there for Whole Belly clams this past Sunday. First off the music was deafening. Thank God the band stopped before we sat down to eat. We ordered Onion Rings and Whole belly clams. The Onion rings were just OK. Nothing amazing. The Whole Belly Clams were good, (not amazing and were small) but we got exactly 12 on a bed of french fries. We paid about $32 for the calms. What a rip off. Our total bill was $43.99 for large order of Onion Rings, a bottle of water and Clams. The atmosphere is very casual and seems to be a good place to go if you like to ride motorcycles. Looks like a good place to party if you go there at night, but not for food, just drinks. Everything was great EXCEPT THE 1 1/2 LOBSTER dinner that I had. It was either overcooked or old. I couldn't eat the tail because it was so tuff, and no else at the table could eat either. This is a place we go when we have visitors from out in town, but we never really go here on our own. This restaurant is very casual and laid back, with mostly outdoor seating. You order and pick up at a window, so there is no table service. Seating is on picnic tables. They have a very healthy local following, with live music, horseshoe league, corn hole, etc. The last time we went, I was disappointed that my lobster was slightly undercooked. We are locals, but had not been here until we were invited to attend an event. Convenient location. Outdoor bar is in the center of everything. With the exception of the event where the host of the party has paid money to secure indoors, everything is outside. The building where the event was has tables and chairs, but no AC. What no one at the event knew was that every person has to go order their own food and you carry it to the building just like you would your own drinks from the bar. There is a water jug to the side for everyone to help themselves. You order your food at a window and wait for your number to be called. The food was good. It was fresh. Out of 2 dishes, they got one wrong, but were eager to fix the mistake, which was the cashier's fault. This location is set back behind a parking lot. There used to be a full restaurant in front until it closed and they had the local FD do a control burn to take it down. So, if it looks like nothing is there when your GPS tells you to turn, it is there. You just have to drive to the back and to the right. This place is not for everyone. You may love it. What a great place to satisfy your lobster cravings while visiting Maine. It was perfect for us since we were traveling with 3 kids ages 9, 11, & 13. We sat at picnic tables outside near the bocci ball and corn hole courts that we used while waiting for our food. It was self serve, you picked up your food when your number was announced. My husband and I had a lobster roll which was delicious. The rest of the family had the whole lobster experience.....messy & fun. (Glad we were outside) As an added bonus a live band started playing and we all danced to a few of their songs!... just a note though this place place might not be too kid friendly later at nighttime so lunch or late afternoon dinners are probably best for them. read more

I have been here with my husband quite a few times. We love the food and love that it's not a tourist trap. However, this past weekend we took my mom and sister for the first time. My sister ordered a grilled chicken wrap. ON THE MENU POSTED AT THE WINDOW IT DOES NOT LIST THAT IT COMES WITH LETTUCE AND TOMATO . I am fully aware it's common knowledge that most sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato but again it was NOT listed. My sister is very picky and asked my mom to get another wrap made. I watched from afar as the cook with the long hair/beard and tattoos gave my mom a hard time about it, arguing with her almost. Then proceeded to slam it in the trash. How unprofessional.
