Incredible views surpassed only by the food itself. A highlight of my trip to the area!

We left our hotel to have a nice dinner with our family and we were not disappointed! This place is decorated to the nines with tables lining the water so you can hear the waves crashing! The food was nothing short of incredible. Everything you wanted from a high end seafood place and more. -This may have been the largest lobster I've ever eaten! Definitely enough for two people! -The shrimp were cooked to perfection multiple ways. -The snapper was fillet to perfection and came with a bunch of sides to make yourself the perfect snapper taco. -The steak eaters in my party were all happy with their selection! Overall everyone had an amazing experience and an even better meal! If you're in the area and want an over the top seafood experience this is the place to go!

Lobster Paradise was amazing! The staff is exceptional, as is the food and the ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

Their wood-fired grill is at the center on the menu here: grilled steaks, fresh seafood, shrimp and fish, pizzas, and pasta with shellfish. We particularly liked their chewy, wood fired prebete bread with their standout chimichurri, flavored with garlic, carrot, and red pepper, which were offered before our seafood entrees. The wine highlights Argentine wine like Malbec and Torrontés, but also Italian and Chilean wine. There is an excellent wine shop at the front of the restaurant, where you can pick up a bottle to go.) A complimentary dessert wine was offered with the check: a thoughtful finish to our meal here. Family-run and full of heart, Punta Mercedes is a good spot for sunset Argentine parrilla complete with a local surfers in view. Definitely recommended.

The food presentations were excellent and quality was nice but not my cup of tea for the entree (shrimp). I wish I could go back and reorder a steak or something different lol. The service was incredible...I wish I could remember our servers names. They were great! The meal started with 3 different types of bread with chimmichuri dip. It was sooo good. I tried the buratta salad with balsamic dressing. It was fresh and delicious. The meal seemed pretty average. My mom got the surf and turf and we were surprised that there was no sauce or any garnishes on the plate. What helped make this 5 stars were the desserts!! We ordered the flower pot and carrot cake. We were shocked that the carrot cake looked like an actual carrot and tasted sooo good. Usually when desserts are cute the taste isn't great, but that was not the case with this one. The flower pot dessert was my favorite. The pot was made out of tempered chocolate and was thick and so tasty. It was a great ending to a wonderful trip in PV! I'm going to really miss this place!

It was delicious and I returned for it the following the day. This omelette also introduced me to oaxaca cheese, which I now buy at Aldi and use in my turkey scrambles several times a week. I'm a big steak fan so I'm glad this lived up to my expectations. I decided on a tenderloin as I like my steak less fatty and this steak was perfect. I also got a side of mashed potatoes and started with a clam chowder. Since my visit, I've discovered a new love of crab cakes so I'll be sure to try those when I return in about 6 months. Despite being a steakhouse, they offered some decent vegetarian options for my vegetarian boyfriend. He chose the beans huarache but I think he'll try something different in the future. The view here is gorgeous during the day and peaceful at night.

The concierge at my hotel suggested that, for a quick bite, I walk to a restaurant that he marked on my map. It was only three minutes away. That restaurant was shuttered and closed, despite it being only 8pm on a Saturday. So I went next door and found Chenando's. The prices looked a little steep, but I was hungry and ready just wanted some soup, which was on the appetizer menu. Despite the heat, I love soup and find that soup in Mexico has never let me down. I went in and was seated immediately with a smile. I only brought a little cash with me, because even though this area feels very safe, I was a solo lady with intermediate Spanish, at best, at night, in a new place. This place did not take credit, much like almost every other place in Puerto Vallarta. I asked if they could make the tortilla soup with chicken, since I wanted to get at least a little protein, and the waiter happily obliged. You guys. Holy shit. I come to Mexico at least three times a year, trying out different cities. This might have been the best meal I've had in all of those trips. It was easily the best tortilla soup of my life. The chunks of avocado were so soft and had absorbed the flavor of the soup. They melted like butter in my mouth. THEN there was the bread! I don't even know what it was. Sort of like Hawaiian rolls, but toasted. Freaking awesome. If I wasn't so full from the soup, I would have stuffed all three giant pieces in my face. I could only do one. They asked how it was and I announced that this was the most delicious soup of my life. The two other tables had couples dining who enthusiastically agreed that the food here is next level. One couple from the Netherlands said they come here three times a year. From the Netherlands. To eat here, specifically. Yeah, I could see that. Altogether, my bill was 155 pesos, just under $9 USD. Hell yeah. They even gave me chocolate covered raisins with my bill.
