The dirty Maynard with next to no lobster meat.

I was super excited to try this place after having missed them while living in Greenwich. The lobster Mac and cheese was great and the homemade potato chips were really good. Unfortunately the low stars for this review comes from the fact that they charged $30 for a lobster roll that had next to nothing as far as actual lobster meat. The lack of lobster meat was a bit ridiculous given the fact that I've had amazing lobster rolls at Watch Hill, Montauk, Greenwich, and Newport with much more filling and paid less, by at least $8 dollars. The lobster roll filling is also mixed with too many carrots and celery. I paid much less for the lobster Mac and cheese and got more lobster meat. I'm looking forward to trying the chowder and bisque.

Huge YES to the lobster mac and cheese, and the lobster roll is spicy and saucy, especially with its juices dripping to the bread that made each bite extra delicious.

My family and I were on a long, painful drive down I-95 when we were struck with hunger. Where is the nearest rest stop? Will they have a Subway? Luckily for us, I took out my handy Yelp app and decided to see what was around. Lo and behold, LobsterCraft popped up on the top of my list with a ringing endorsement from the Yelp community so away we went! We found the spot and were glad to see lots of parking and plenty of seating in the tent outside! We all ordered their traditional bestseller, The Coastal, and devoured them. Hearty chunks of lobster meat on delicious buttery, toasted bread. Was so yummy! I'm pretty spoiled by the Boston/Maine lobster scene but LobsterCraft held its own. And it kept us well-fed until dinner time. Will definitely have to come by the next time I'm passing through!

Now that's a lobster roll!!! I've been highly critical about these lobster rolls in NYC and NJ and I finally took a ride to CT to get one. I love the fact that they give you the butter separate so you choose how much you eat. Lobster was sweet, tasty and awesome!! I bought 2 cause when I had the first one on the spot I need to take one for later.

After a long walk at Sherwood Island we wanted to complete the CT experience with a lobster roll. After a quick Yelp search I came across LobsterCraft. It's a bit hard to find as you can't see it from the road. Follow the GPS and take the driveway to the back lot. Upon approaching the restaurant they had a convenient walk-up window with a large menu. We were greeted by a friendly worker who took our order. She brought the bag out within 7 minutes of ordering and thanked us for our business. We were delighted with the food. The lobster was fresh, cooked well, and seasoned perfectly. We loved that they served the butter on the side. Lobster items come at a steep $20-25 for a moderate quantity of meat. Overall delicious but for a steep price. Three of us had two rolls, one Mac without lobster and 1 order of fries. Add 3 bottles of water and we were at $75 with tip. We will definitely go back when we have a craving and some bonus cash!

Before Yelp, I used Jane and Michael Stern's Road Food series books to find little gems like Lobstercraft. If you open Road Food, the first recommendation is Abbott's Lobster in the Rough in Noank, CT - a personal favorite. Lobstercraft has the same vibe. Outdoor seating, fresh, perfectly cooked lobster, fair pricing and friendly service. We were photographing a vintage car rally and while the rally entrants dined on a $150 lunch-for-two in a near-by fancy eatery, we drove here and tucked into what I am sure was a better lunch. Fresh, hot buttered lobster along with a side of crispy chips - $20. In NYC, that's a $40 meal. Their fries are excellent and are delivered in a generous portion that I shared with two others - yum! On my second visit, I added lobster bisque and was pleased at their take on this classic. They give you a bowl of rich broth with a cup of dipping lobster chunks. Clever and yummy. They have a lobster truck but if you need a sea food fix and are close by, drive around the back (look for their sign) and get ready to smile. Even if it's raining or chilly, you can sit in your car and chow down - they have a convenient parking lot. A classic roadside treasure and one that I'll go back again with my wife - a lobster fan and lover of good value. HIGHLY recommended - wish I could give more stars.

Such an amazing food truck. The lobster is fresh and they are generous with their portions of lobster. Overall had such a great experience, I will be visiting again!

Absolutely the best lobster rolls. Well filled, delicious, and reasonably priced. First time was from their lobster truck at a Farmer's Market in Rowayton. Now at their store in Fairfield.

Fair prices and great portions. Staff was friendly and the lobster roll was outstanding. Large chunks of meat. I would definitely buy from here again. I've tried the traditional, heat wave and the California- all were outstanding!

Highly recommend each of these: Bodegarita - Cazadores, luxardo triplum, lime juice, agave...this is their classic marg. Nice balance, well mixed. Bodega Original Guacamole...fantastic. Basic in a good way. Very avocado forward. Not over-salted. The chips were fresh and not salty..again in a really good way. I did ask for a few lime wedges to add a little juice, but the guac was excellent. Pork Carnitas - Crispy potatoes, onion, serrano-avocado crema, cilantro...very good. Americano - Seasoned ground beef, manchego cheese, salsa de russa, crispy taco...kinda unique. A little like a big mac meets a taco. Unexpected but very glad I tired. Gambas - Seared ancho chili shrimp, cucumber-mango salsa, chipotle mayo...my favorite one. 5-start taco. Chicken Tinga - Tomato braised chicken, cotija cheese, mexican crema...excellent as well. Service was very good. Attentive, prompt and gave good/accurate recommendations. Didn't laugh at all my jokes. That's ok- few do. Set back from the Post Road, I must have driven passed here a million times. Unassuming storefront. Cozy spot. 5 table tops and 5-ish tables. A nice bar w/ excellent tequila options. The decor matches the food and experience if that makes sense. No brainer 5 stars from me. I'll be back and I'll certainly recommend.

A quick little yelp search and we had an instant detour for some sustenances, while we let the other motorist continue on their way. Bodega, located in a small little shopping strip, is also small and quaint. Not much wiggle room so be prepared to be neighborly. We arrived half past 4, just in time for HH @ the bar. So we grabbed some seats at the end of the bar where Alex the bartender took care of us. We started with Passionritas (passion fruit margs) and guacamole. Both were equally delish and the guac is bowl licking worthy. However, I do not recommend since you are dinning in public. Lol. In addition we ordered the bodega blistered brussels sprouts and baja tacos to share. The sprouts were an absolute stand out. I opted for the Mexico City Ceasar Salad with Salmon. Presented slightly deconstructed, which didn't take anything away from the great taste. We had an absolute great experience from Alex our bartender whom was very impressionable to Diego (possible manager) whom also made a nice impression. We tried a few more margs before our departure. With the hibiscus being one of my faves. A wonderful spontaneous detour, that will now be a welcomed stop on future road strips north. Just A Note: - HH @ the Bar only (Tues-Fri 4-6pm) - You can take Bodegaritas to-go they have them bottled for sale.
