We have been going there for many years. In 2025 we went under the new ownership, and were very disappointed. The new owner was very friendly and explained to us about them going through a transition with the chef. We went back in 2026, and the drink and food were again under par. The view and atmosphere is awesome, but the food and drinks must be good. The Pina colada had no flavor and the hot lobster roll was dry, orange in color and a bit too chewy. While on our day visit to Oak Bluffs, we stopped here for a frozen drink and an app to relax. I don't think you can get a better view than here. We sat on the second level balcony and it was so relaxing watching the boats coming in and out. We ordered two frozen drinks, a melon colada and a margarita. I was so excited to see a melon colada on the menu because I don't see them often. Unfortunately, there was no melon flavor to it and it just tasted like a regular pina colada. We ordered chicken crispers as well. They were tasty and they give you a heaping portion so it's definitely an app for two. There's only one unisex bathroom downstairs that seemed to have a line every time I had to go. Not sure how great that would work out on a busy weekend. read more

We stopped here for a bite to eat after a tour. It was super busy in the area and this was the one place we were able to find a seat. The service was a little slow, but overall we enjoyed the experience. It does feel a little crowded inside, but they do have a decent amount of seating. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband got a lobster roll. Our server was able to give us good suggestions on what to get. I'm unfortunately not a seafood eater, but this chicken sandwich was a great choice! My husband had never tried a lobster roll before and the server recommended it cold. We visited Martha's Vineyard for a day and availed their around the island tour which lasted around 4 hours . When we finished the tour and was waiting to head back to Cape Cod and waiting for the ferry , we had enough time to get some lunch and decided to try this place . I ordered the Bangbang shrimps which were so fresh and flavorful while my husband ordered the Lobster roll which was also good . We sat on the 2nd floor which had a breathtaking view of the marina . Ok, I have mixed reviews about this place based on the various elements. The ambience, of course is a 5 due to the beautiful outdoor scenery. Service is a 5 as a waitress was nice and accommodating and checked on us often. Half of the food was good, half of the food needs some work. The oysters were amazing and the truffle fries were absolutely delicious and addicting. The boom boom/bang bang shrimp were nicely crisp but did not have that boom boom flavor. The lobster salad needed some seasoning and was lacking something. The PearTini was yummy but I had to send it back because one of their deck decorations landed in it... Lol. Instead, I got a Frose, but it tasted more like a strawberry daiquiri than a frosé. I will be back for the ambience, truffle fries, and oysters. New Owner-Old Tricks We've been coming here for over a decade and we're SO excited to be back in 2025 for our Katama Mamas. First thing we noticed was the new name (Katama Kiss) which we learned was due to a new owner. No worries at all, we were pumped to find that the new hands kept the old drink! However, we noticed that there was hardly (if any) actual booze in the drinks. Now, we're by no means "booze hounds" but when one purchases a $16 drink one expects it to have at least a moderate amount of "feel good juice" contained within. This was unfortunately not the case today. We gave the situation the benefit of the doubt and ordered a second round. Nada, no, nothing. Must say that the appetizers (wings and the Mediterranean) were delicious. Our server was gracious and attentive. Right by the water, Lobsterville provides a wonderful view of the ocean! I ordered the Lobster BLT with truffle fries. While the truffle fries were spectacular, I unfortunately can't say the same about the BLT. The lobster itself didn't taste as fresh as I expected, and the sandwich was rather bland. The fries, however, were a delicious addition of crisp, salty bites. For a $20 sandwich, I was a little sad it wasn't as good as I had hoped. I highly recommend ordering the truffle fries though. Since I forgot my driver's license, I wasn't able to order a cocktail. The Bloody Mary did sound pretty good though. read more

Great food, nice atmosphere and stunning sunsets over the Harbor. This is my favorite summer haunt!

The view of the harbor and marina is great from upstairs where we sat. There is a bar there so drinks came to us fast. I had the lobster grilled cheese as did 2 others and it was wonderful. Almost divine.The Truffle fires were delicious too. Service was fast and attentive buy not intrusive, but we were there about 3 pm so there wasn't a big lunch or dinner rush. Isn't it funny how we can change so dramatically? I read my review from last year as I'm enjoying a glass of chardonnay looking over the harbor. Owner remains fabulous, waterside dining great and menu selections along with the wine plentiful. And, staff is very friendly and attentive. This year I'm kinda liking Oak Bluffs! Yes, it's gross with the low end tourists, but there are also really nice tranquil pockets. Hey, I thrived in Venice Beach, so the tourists shouldn't bother me much at all. There is also a lot of tranquility once you dig deeper into the hidden neighborhoods. Heck, I'm even carrying around a brochure to potentially but a little place. Who would've figured?! read more

While the food here was excellent, this 5-star review is purely for the service my family and I received while recently dining at this restaurant. So, my family and I were on a small vacation to Martha's Vineyard (we live in NY) and, of course, one night we were out walking around looking for dinner. We stopped at the Lobsterville Bar & Grille where we were promptly seated. Now, the table we were given was fine, big enough for 4 adults and a toddler anyway, but it did feel like it was starting to get cold out there and we were in a medium-traffic area. We had been seated less than 5 minutes when a member of the wait staff asks us if we wanted to move to a warmer table on the second level with a better view. We jumped at the chance and moved right up there. We found ourselves directly adjacent to the bar with a fantastic view of the water and only one other table near us (thankfully, separated by a window). Then, the wait staff, throughout our meal, were absolutely wonderful to our two year old son. I mean it. Not just our waiter, but other staff as well, they were so wonderful to him. And admittedly, we weren't so sure going on vacation was a good idea (even from NY to MA for a few days), so our trip had been a bit stressful. Let me tell you, watching the wait staff interact with our son helped melt that stress away. It was probably the best dinner we've ever had on the island, or at least the best one in recent years. The Drunk Chef told us to "Go F**K Ourselves" We were in MV for 2 friends birthdays, and after a few recommendations we decided to have the birthday dinner at Lobsterville. HUGE MISTAKE. At 8:15 upon arrival we were told that we were the last table of the night, which we initially thought was odd to tell us but at the time didn't pay attention to it. We ordered a round of appetizers (which never came out), and then ordered the "Chef's Special" which was highly recommend by our server. The special was a Rare sesame encrusted grilled wild caught tuna steak. What came out was not that at all. It looked like a can of tuna fish molded into a patty and put on a plate. We asked our server if this was indeed the special he was recommending and he said it was, but should not have looked like that. He wanted to get us something else, but we kindly passed. He then took one of the specials away. What happened next was very disheartening. 10 Minutes later, we heard someone yelling on the other side of the restaurant behind us, then they walked away...then he came over to us yelling. He said, and I am quoting exactly: "Why don't you go F**K yourselves! You don't know what good seafood is. You're used to your antibiotic filled bullsh*t. Go F**K yourselves!" Obviously we stood right up and left. On the way out, our server seemed shocked that we were leaving, and proceeded to apologize for the chef telling us that he was drunk and had been drinking since 8am. Amazing food and service. Having been to multiple seafood restaurants on this trip to MV, the Lobsterville Bar and Grille was by far the most superior seafood restaurant in town. The food: The group I was with dined on various delicious dishes (Fish and Chips, Swordfish, Fried Oysters and Lobster Grilled Cheese (mine)). Highlighting the Grilled cheese, the lobster portion was generous. The cheese was melted perfectly and the bread was not greasy at all. Each bite left me wanting more. We didn't make any reservations, we were walking along the harbor and spotted this place with outdoor seating. It is two storied building. We got a table facing the sun going down. It was absolutely romantic. We ordered Bloody Mary and Martha's Vineyard mule, both were really good. We had few more blood Mary's after. We weren't really hungry so we just got an order of baked sword fish with corn sauce and carrots. The sauce was rich and creamy and the sword fish was soft and buttery. Since this place didn't have a lot of reviews on food, I thought I would write one.
