We visited Martha's Vineyard for the day and stopped here for a quick & easy lunch. The setup is interesting to maneuver, but there is plenty of seating both inside & out, so we had no problem finding a spot once we ordered our food. I got the steak & cheese special, my wife got the traditional lobster roll, and my 3 girls got chicken fingers, a hamburger and fish & chips respectively. I didn't hear any complaints; the food was good all around and the portion sizes were respectable - which I was happy about considering the prices. I was a little hesitant given the ratings but I have no regrets. You order at the window and pick up your food so not much service to speak of, but the cashier's were nice and helpful and the bartender crushed it. I had a banana mudslide concoction that was absolutely delicious and perfect on a warm late summer day. I will almost always go for a lobster roll (warm with butter, please) and this time was no different. Price was on par with what you'd expect for a lobster roll on the island and the portions were more than I expected, a lovely surprise. Went to the famous Nancys last night for a birthday dinner..We go there quite often but last night was different...We got to meet Odin E he was the new bartender and since it was so packed we opted to sit at the bar..He was so responsive and even was able to finagle getting me a birthday dinner even after the food was closed in that area. He was so conscientious about making sure everything was perfect for my special night, The food came out fast for being how busy it was on a friday night..Then the best manager Dave of all time hooked me up with my favorite cocktail a Lyngs Lemonade ..It was a specialty drink years ago but not on the menu any longer but he always accommodates me and last night was no exception...He is the manager of all trades always a smile no matter how busy it gets and makes time for his customers. Dinner this evening, but nothing short and amazing walking on a Sunday night we seated immediately in a table with stunning views of the ocean is like the cherry on top of a ice cream sundae.. we enjoyed the first course of chicken wings, which were fried just rice not too hard not too soft and a housemaid blue cheese that was out of this world. Our dinner was followed up with 1.5 pound lobster yes, the whole dang thing it was succulent and flavorful and fresh. I saw there was ocean water still pouring out of the shell! ! Have been here a few times while visiting Oak Bluffs and it is a solid restaurant. It's located right on the water and has both indoor and outdoor dining with beautiful views. We usually sit inside since we have toddlers with us who need to cool off. Service is friendly, the host found a safe spot for our stroller which is always appreciated. Food is pretty standard but well executed, their smash burger was fantastic. They don't have a written kids menu but they do offer several options if you ask the server. Drinks were decent, I'd stick to their frozen ones since that is what they're known for, I got a summer mule which was pretty much all ginger beer. This was a solid restaurant. You walk up to the counter, place your order and take a buzzer. Once the order is ready, you pick up your food from another window and seat yourself on a lovely patio overlooking the marina. The whole process only took about fifteen minutes. Quick and efficient. My mom and I got the warm lobster rolls with chips and drink. My total was ~$68, not surprising. The surprising part was the lobster portion, hearty to say the least! I'm use to an expensive lobster roll with an ounce above a smidgen of lobster, lol. But no. The lobster was falling out of the bun. The bun was soft, warm and perfect. The lobster was nice with just butter. All the lobster roll purists so will be in love. I prefer a dresses lobster roll, so that's the only reason for three stars instead of four. The roll was good, but it could've been better. I like to experience more flavors in my food. But visiting Nancy's would definitely be a wise decision. read more

We came at the right time because there was plenty of seating for us in the picnic table section, but it was packed by the time we left. The food came out very quickly and the bartender was very friendly. Can't come here and not get a mudslide or dirty banana! The only reason that I am giving Nancy's 4 stars is because the food was mediocre. I ordered a chicken gyro and the pita bread was falling apart. The taste was just okay. When I went around 7pm, I hit the end of happy hour so the ambiance was a loud and hectic, however at around 7:30/8 it was less crowded and calmed down. We were able to have an amazing view of the sunset over the water which became one of the highlights of my trip to Martha's Vineyard. The food was fantastic. The lobster meat was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The only two complaints we had was, we were hoping for more lobster meat for the entrees and the lobster roll was very buttery. We also tried their banana mud slide that they are known for, 10/10 recommend. The service was good for how packed the restaurant was , no complaints.
