Great atmosphere and great food. We had the chipotle salsa, mango salsa, tres peppers, guacamole and queso. All were amazing starters with their tortilla chips. Guacamole had the best fresh acidic balance but still had enough salt. We had several tacos. Pastor, Chorizo, Ribeye, Fried Chicken. Each one was unique and had all had great flv. 1st visit was 4 stars, this one... 2 stars. Chips were stale and chewy, beer was brought long after the meal was served, food all over the floor under my feet, not one person wiped tables down (other than a hand swipe in the table) after folks left around us, and our server was a walking zombie (no personality, monotone, and clearly didn't want to be there). Tried out Local Lime and was pleasantly surprised. The queso is awesome and full of flavor. We had the Dixon Chicken Enchiladas and there were really good. Close to the kind of sauce you would find on the mexican food in New Mexico which is my favorite type of mexican food. I was disappointed that they do not serve chips and salsa, you have to add these to your order, next time we will skip the salsa and just go for the queso as we felt that was the better option. read more

It was so good! I had the carnitas and the meat wasn't fatty like some other Mexican restaurants. Black beans were good and slightly spicy. However I didn't like the rice at all. It was like a cilantro and lime rice- green. I was expecting them to have a classic Mexican rice so I was disappointed about that. read more

Went to have a late lunch with my spouse and two children, under 5. The waiter was very kind and attentive, made some suggestions off the menu and was able to bring our food out in a timely manner. We had the battered shrimp tacos and the zucchini tacos. The zucchini tacos had a good flavor but it might have benefited from using different tortillas. The shrimp tacos were eatable but were overpowered by the curry sauce. Overall, our experience was pleasant but the food could use some improvement. read more

I was excited about this place and had high hopes. Maybe I just went on a bad day. Service was very slow. We were there for almost two hours for lunch. The chips are too thick and sort of stale; they can injure your mouth. I still have a cut on the roof of my mouth from one of those chips. I had the carnitas tacos. I couldn't really taste the flavor of the meat due to the overwhelming spicy flavor. It was needlessly too spicy. Also ordered the trio of salsas. House salsa was good. Zucchini salsa had way too many pepitas on top so it was difficult to actually taste the zucchini salsa. Maybe I'll give this place another try but I'm not jazzed to run right back anytime soon. read more

I've been twice and both times ordered the chicken fajitas which are delicious! Also, they have the most unusual salsas to pick from and they're all really good. Our favorite is the zucchini salsa...sounds a little weird, but it's fantastic. It's a really pretty restaurant. My only complaint is that it's very loud and not conducive to conversation. read more

Dined here for my birthday dinner on Thursday night and the place was packed! Despite being busy, our server, Melani, and Garrett took fantastic care of us! The frozen mojitos and mai tais were so good - and not to sweet! Ahi tacos were the stand out for me, but the rest of my family enjoyed the quest. So good! The ribeye taco was my favorite - super tender and tasty with homemade tortillas. The carnitas with the red pepper crema and the lime rice are also yummy. They also have great happy hour specials on margaritas and guacamole/ chips. Such a great addition to the area! read more

The female bar tender yesterday during the afternoon was very rude...threw my drivers license back onto the bar...she was rude the whole time we were there. While the food is great, Local Lime lacks in service quality, a major recommendation would be adding diversity to staff of servers, it is a Mexican restaurant at its core. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would. Food is really good, drinks are really good, service has room for improvement. I went in for a late lunch, and it took our server nearly 10 minutes to take our drink order and another 7 minutes to take our food order. Today our family headed to Local Lime for lunch. On the way, we called ahead to make a reservation. The hostess stated, "we're not busy, you don't need a reservation." Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation. Which we said, "no, we called earlier to make a reservation and told we didn't nee done." The hostess immediately said, "no I didn't say that, I said you need a reservation and we don't have any openings until 2:40pm. We mentioned, 'no ma'am, you stated we didn't need one otherwise, I would have gladly given you our name." She was very rude and very loudly said, no, I said a reservation was needed." How embarrassing to have a hostess yell quite loudly. It was was quite odd, as though the was afraid to get in trouble for not taking the reservation. We're not sure, but obviously training is needed. Needless to say, our family won't be returning to this restaurant. Be sure to get a reservation and I would recommend taking the hostess' name to ensure upon arrival there isn't a mix up and you get yelled at. Not a place we plan to return. read more
