Luis replied here on Yelp based on my June visit but I hadnt updated it since my July visit so potentially I'd give yall one more shot since my first 4 or so visits were great and its very dissapointing to lose a great spot. That being said, my July visit with 3 people (enough for a booth ) was pretty awful. (Updated again) - 1 star (July 2022) So I came back again.. wont anymore. Not only was the service slow as usual, this time the food was awful across the board. One of our meals smelt rancid and the other two meals were just not good. There was also a leak from the ceiling hitting our table. I would have mentioned it but our waitress never came till our food was ready. Never got a drink till our food as well. (Update) - 2 stars (June 2022) I've come here several times and would easily give a 4-5 star rating. Solid food, solid service, takes awhile to get the food but its always been worth it. That being said, my last visit lead to us having to leave to go to what is my new spot for this part of town, Ford's BBQ. I tend to bring people here because the food and (until now) service is great which makes for a great place to discuss business. Every time I come we request and get a booth with no issue and its always been a single other person with me. I do this because we are discussing business and I bring my laptop so I need a bit more room. We asked to sit in a booth and we were totally cool with waiting but we were turned away as the booths are apparently for parties bigger than 2. I offered to order enough food for 3 and we were still told no. We could blatantly see a party of 2 sitting in a booth and we were the only people waiting to be sat in the building. I guess Billie Eilish didn't approve of us. We left and proceeded to go spend enough for 3, in a booth, at Ford's BBQ across the street. I've driven by Local No 7 a number of times, but when I found myself in Tucker around lunch one day, on a whim I stopped in. They offer a lunch deal where you can order a 1/2 & 1/2 combo for right around $7. I decided on their southwest salad (half) and Turkey melt (half), from a suggestion from staff. I also ordered a side of sweet potato french fries (about $2.50) The turkey melt came with tomato, bacon, herbs and a honey mustard on their grilled flat bread. It wasn't the turkey burger that I wanted, but it had nice flavors. It was a much more soft bite than what I expected, hoping for something more crispy, but it was good overall. The Southwest salad came with mixed greens, black beans, pico de gallo, and a southwest ranch, but you can switch it to whichever dressing you want. The salad also came with 4 crispy tortilla chips resting on the salad. I did like the dressing, which had a nice savory, slightly spicy flavor, but it seemed like there could've been more of the pico and beans because they easily got lost in the salad from the small amount there was. Not a bad salad, but not one i'd likely get again. The sweet potato fries weren't bad at all! I asked if they could make the fries extra crispy, how I like my fries, and they made sure to do just that. Very cool! The "side" of fries were actually a pretty decent size, easily shared by two people, making for a pretty good deal for the price. Customer service was good, attentive and fast, getting my meal to me in under 10 minutes. There's a full bar at Local No 7, and with all of the selection here, i'm sure this is a popular place in Tucker. Located off of Main street, immediately before you reach the train tracks, and directly across the street from Mayfield ice cream and shakes, parking is pretty limited here with parking along the street and a little gravel lot across the street (right in front of the train tracks), but on a busy weekend, I struggle to see how you'd find a space here. Local no 7 definitely has that nice local feel you want in a small restaurant, complete with great design, casual atmosphere, and a good food. If you live here, you probably already know about it and have visited. If you don't, swing by some time! read more

My company called in for a pick up on lunch. The employee that took the call was very receptive. Unfortunately they were all out of Pimento cheese, but my second choice was really good! I got the buffalo chicken wrap with the tater tots. The wrap was a good combo of buffalo sauce and bleu cheese, while the tater tots had the perfect crunch texture. Highly recommend. read more

This hidden gem is located on main street in Tucker. It is located right by the railroad track. Parking on main street is available and there are additional parking spots across the tracks and around the area. I have been to Local No 7 several times and enjoy their burgers and especially their tater tots. This time, some friends and I visited Local 7 for lunch. This is a self seat place, and we had no problems finding a table. If you come during dinner on the weekends, you may have to wait for a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. We were greeted by our server quickly and our drink orders were taken. Our server was excellent. He was fast and efficient but did not rush us in any way. I was eating healthy so I ordered the buffalo burger with angus beef, an egg and subbed the fries for green beans. They gave me a HUGE bowl of very delicious green beans. My burger as usual was very good. My drink was always topped off and our server even offered a to go cup at the end of our meal. Since this was a weekday lunch and we had to get back to work, I really appreciate the fast service. This is one of my favorite places to catch up with friends at any time or day. If you ever eat here, I highly recommend getting the tater tots! I will be back again for sure! read more

Got charged $1.50 extra for chicken and $1.25 extra for side salad (limp lettuce, 2 slice of cucumbers, chopped carrots in a small bowl). At no time did the waiter mention the upcharges so I paid $15.50 for a chicken sandwich which is very pricy for a just OK sandwich. read more

My family has lived in Tucker more than 20 years and my wife and I have been going to Local 7 often since it opened in downtown Tucker. From the first visit until now, service has been great: Friendly, knowledgeable staff with the right balance of attentive service and leaving folks free to enjoy meal and conversation. On the food side, from the burgers to sandwiches to plates to appetizers, nothing we've tried has been less than great quality, taste and presentation. It's one of the places we know we can take a special out-of-town visitor or family member and know they will have a great experience. Working on a TV show in Tucker and being gluten-free is always easy with Local No 7. I ate here almost every day the entire month I worked in Tucker. The service is quick, the atmosphere is funky, and the staff is always pleasant. All of the sandwiches are so flavorful - I try a new one every time I go! My favorite part is they don't charge extra for gluten-free bread like most establishments. I only wish they get a separate fryer for their fries and tater tots so I can also eat them. Now that filming has finished, I will make the occasional trip up here from Midtown to grab a bite, as it is just that worth it. read more

ZERO frequent customer appreciation! New servers and a rude manager. They do not appreciate customers that ate there frequently. Now all of a sudden you can't sit certain places because of the time of the day, which is totally ridiculous with a zillion tables open, but we can't eat at a booth. A favorite watering hole for the yokel locals! Typical barroom with plethora of flat screen TVs. Large lacquered wood tables with hard staight-backed wood chairs or wood benches. Today, being Tucker's Spring Chili Cook-Off day, Local7 was hoppin'! Every table was full and the staff was runnin' ragged. Due to the big day, wait time for a table at 9PM on a Saturday night was longer than desired, running at roughly 5-10 min, with another 10min wait after seated just to place a drink order, 20 minute wait to place food order and longer to finally get the food. Once delivered say so long to the wait staff, 'cause never saw them again until after the meal was finished and again sitting for 10 min waiting on the check. No drink refills the whole meal and little interaction with the staff other than placing and delivering the food. Heard other tables around us complain about no service, so I guess Local7 was short staffed. (All the staff must have been "partying" from the Cook-Off). Witnessed couples walk in, wait to be acknowledged by the staff just to get a table, after being ignored for 5min, turn around and leave. For the food, it is your typical bar food. The corn chowder was hot and spicy, with chunks of potato in a pool of corn with bacon floating in top. The Ruben sandwich was thick and fresh with tons of Tater Tots! Get a side of spicy "ranch" dressing for dipping, which is much better than the ketchup. The fried artichokes were unique but the batter is the same batter one gets with fried chicken strips. Fresh squeezed lemon juice saved them and boosted their flavor tremendously! Mostly a place for the local guys to hang. Not really comfortable, and the food was simply ok, not great. But for a bar, it all seemed better than most. Especially considering the wild events converging on this day, I think the place did ok. I'm glad I tried it at least once. read more

I had lunch here today ith a friend; I don't often get out to old Tucker, so it's nice to see the revitalization efforts are working. It seemed like a typical bar scene, but they've got rollaway garage doors for when it's warm and team trivia on Monday nights. The food was tasty; I had the Casey Jones burger, which is a half-pound angus patty with american cheese, BBQ sauce and ham, but I substituted bacon. Pretty good, even though I slid out of my seat due to the grease factor. The bun wasn't anything special and the tots were a little underdone, but they're tots...it's not like I'm going to get salmonella. The service was friendly and attentive and I look forward to going back one day. By 12:15 when we left, the place was packed, so people seem to agree that it's worth frequenting. Parking's a little dicey, since you have to back out into main street. Definitely keep that in-mind if you park next to a truck like I did. read more

I walked away in a good mood, full and satisfied with the tab, but there were a few things that kept me from giving it anymore then a 3. Came here during a week night with my sister and brother, we came for a burger and beer.....and I came for the tots. I love those little nuggets of fried gold! Location: Downtown Tucker, which when I was in high school/college wasn't much of a going concern, but has since then turned itself into a cute little downtown feel with boutique places, that wouldn't last anywhere outside of Tucker, but are super happy to nestle themselves in down there. Parking is alright and you can pull around back behind the place and park in the lot or use the main road parking. Mood: This place is a melting pot for hipsters, locals and older clientele that I went to school with their kids, or even their kids...kids. Case in point, last time my sister was there, they ran into our old Elementary school principle...and this particular evening I saw a person that was two classes above me in high school. So you will see anyone from your grandparents to a group of 30 something guys drunk and yelling at the TV. You will also see hipsters in their skinny jeans and beanies as well as normal run of the mill suburban folk. Service: The service is seat yourself/wait to be seen/then the combo of the two. It's confusing since you can come in from the front or from the rear of the building and there isn't much logical order to the seating section. This really didn't bother us, but I can say that when its busy, this just wouldn't work! Once we found our way to the high top section of the bar area, we sat....and sat...and sat. Both bartenders saw us, took orders and food to tables around us, but neither came up. Finally my sister just stood up and walked over to the female bartender and asked is we had a server. The words out of her mouth next..."Oh, I didn't see you guys there"...I was like mentally to myself-You looked right at me and I smiled at you twice, so really I don't see how you missed my big 6 foot ass standing there and then sitting there. I don't disappear easily. So that was their first strike. Beer: Decent selection of bottled beer, nothing crazy, but for the area they have a good distributor and who ever is in charge of picking the selection, clearly enjoys beer. What they have on draught is pretty much the basics, with maybe two that would be considered craft or small batch brewing. Overall I am impressed and pleased. The rest is just all standard and their shots are kitschy and fun, but more mixer than anything. I'm there for the beer....and tots. Food: I LOVE TATER TOTS! So any where that I can get them, I do. The portions are decent for the price point, I have seen in other reviews were they mentioned a shortage, so it must have been adjusted. We ordered the following: Appetizer: Tot Stack Tater tots smothered in Brunswick stew, cheese and purple onions. The tots get mushy after a few minutes because of the stew, the raw purple onions just don't need to be on their at all. They don't compliment the dish at all and are too "spicy" in their raw form and just over power everything..strike 2. The Stew is pretty good. Meals: Chili Cheese Dog Basket with Sweet Potato Fries (2) Build your own burgers one with a side of tots(mine) and with a side of onion rings(bros). The Burgers are fresh, unless they manage to bring in a special high quality frozen meat patty. My guess is they just use a press to make sure all the patties are uniform and at the 1/2 pound ration. The seasoning they use is on the salty side, but really doesn't make the patty taste bad. We enjoyed the burgers and I would order any of the burgers again and enjoy it. Our server forgot my bacon and my brothers sauce...strike 3. My sister enjoyed her hotdogs and they looked really good from across the table. Once again the raw purple onion was just to strong of an onion selection for her dish and she ended up picking them off. She enjoyed her cole slaw which is the mayo/sugar variety; personally is the only slaw I think should be allowed. Her side of sweet potato fries were nicely seasoned and good quality. Onion rings were a shock, I wasn't expecting a hand battered and fried version to come out. They weren't the thick cut and not the shoe string version either, but a nice middle ground. It was more onion then batter, which I like and the two I was able to snipe from my bother's plate were seasoned well and tasted great. I am sure we will end up back here again since my family seems to enjoy the place, and really considering its location its a nice change of pace. It was pretty good, if somewhat unremarkable. Pub food -- it is what it is, you know? I went on a Monday afternoon and it was mostly empty. I ordered the tot stack, which was ridiculously tasty, and the Cannonball Express, which was ok but didn't succeed in beating Hardee's philly steak cheeseburger with jalapeños. Waiter was nice and attentive. No complaints. Would I go back? Maybe. It didn't really stand out from the crowd, for good or for bad, which I guess is an endorsement, even if not altogether glowing. read more

Great spot for drinks and the service is friendly but the food is a$$. The veggie wrap was literally a mix of canned corn and black beans in a stale flour tortilla. Follow up to previous review: I appreciate the restaurant for reaching out regarding my review. Seemed that the general consensus that day was that COVID was indeed part of the problem. The other suggested problem was that staff was being payed too little as the results of staffing issues. Don't know how that plays into the picture, but it's been the excuse at many other restaurants as well. Stimulus money has been sited as the problem at many local establishments, but could that really be that people are realizing the pay scales are not up to par with the rising cost of living, especially the rental industry?That's a different topic all in itself. My bf enjoy coming here after work for a drink at the bar. The bartenders we have met as we have become semi-regulars always remember us. I always get a margarita and Matt gets a bourbon and coke. It's an interesting mix of young Tucker and older folks at the bar. I'm excited that it's getting nicer out because I've never eaten outside there and I'm looking forward to it. You can bring your dog out there. I would say I didn't give it 5 stars because the place struggles on busy Tucker days and nights like when there are events, Tucker Farmers Market etc. They definitely need to have more people on staff those night then I've seen because service just dies down to a bare minimum. We also have had our food brought out cold on one of those nights. They only offered to microwave it and bring it back to us. We most enjoy eating the hot wings, pork wings and tater tots. When I don't want to splurge on calories, I've also enjoyed the southwest style salad because the dressing is a little spicy and I love that. We went one night for trivia and we got 2nd place! The trivia host was very welcoming and entertaining, especially to us first timers to the game. I heard they have an adult trivia night late one evening and we want to try that. I've heard familes have complained about that but umm why are you there with your kid at a bar style place at 10:00 pm anyways, people? read more

First a positive, the wings were really pretty good for my hubby. They looked meaty and they were priced right. I will say the meatiest ones were still raw and bleeding in the middle. The waiter ended up taking it of my bill. However, after waiting 45 minutes from the time we ORDERED, our food came out. I ordered the angus burger. I am sure it came from a plastic frozen sleeve purchased from the Sams club down the road. It was over cooked and tasted like it had been precooked and reheated to melt the cheese. Totally unacceptable in a trendy joint like this. I have been to Village Burger across the street, in the past, and was treated to hot juiciness cooked to the correct temp and not pre formed patties. I was not impressed. Our waitress was friendly, but it seemed like she was the only one in the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer but it never came, then when our food finally arrived it was cold. Our waitress called over someone who I assume was a manager who attempted to argue that the food did not sit in the window long enough to be cold. The lemon pepper wings were pretty good and so were the fries. The menu is misleading as the kids "sliders" was basically one big burger. They should update the menu. The cook & server should also pay attention to the chicken tenders they are serving as they were noticeably overcooked. So much so that the edges of both were surrounded by BLACK. After a long day of driving and moving in, my boyfriend and I were exhausted and needed a place with good beer and quick food. This place is right up the road so we figured we would check it out. Our server was awesome and super friendly. I got the Funky Treats, which is a marshmallow blonde ale, and OMG it was incredible. We both got wraps and they were great. I loved the beer so much that we went back the next day. Our server recognized us and definitely made us feel at home. This will definitely be one of our regular spots! read more

To be honest here, It is a cool spot at a good location. We got there on a Sunday to get some lunch, while watching the Falcons almost loose to the Bucs, but thats beside the point. We sat close to the bar, ordered some apps and kept it moving. We later placed an order. I got the Little John burger with a side of tots. I was not impressed as much as it was hyped up to be, lacked seasoning and the tots just tasted as something that has been sitting in the freezer for a while, and then gets fried? You know what I'm talking about? just wasn't kicking, lets just keep it at that. While I be back? Maybe, but not anytime soon. I got the tots with cheese and bbq sauce that was edible and the chili that was not great and about room temperature. Service was terrible. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it did not disappoint! The hostess was very pleasant and sat us right away (Renee). Our waitress (Shannon) got our drink orders almost immediately and then took our food orders. My husband ordered a club sandwich with onion rings and I had the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The onion rings were cooked perfect with a very light and tasty batter. My burger was good but a little greasy. My husband gave his club just and "ok" rating. Overall the service was good , the food was good but nothing spectacular. If we lived closer we would go back frequently just for the onion rings. read more

I've been trying to dine here successfully since they opened. For a while, the menu was in flux, so I usually couldn't order what I had the time before. Now it's the service. It's either the kitchen, the server or both. Tonight our sever simply didn't place the order for my meal. And when my husband had his food and I asked about mine, he acted like I hadn't ordered at all. If you're looking for a local place to grab a beer, they do that just fine.
