I've been here twice now, once in the summer where you can enjoy the picnic tables outside (dog friendly) or have a seat on the patio and in the winter as well where you can play pool downstairs. I do have to say i'm very sad they took the chicken philly off their menu, it was so delicious! But I did try the pizza lately and it was very good as well. Their beer prices are a little high to me for classic miller lite but I'm willing to pay the extra price for the environment. We came to try Local Post on a Thursday night. It was hopeful when we entered- the bartender greeted us & said someone would be with us to get us seated. A few minutes later a host/server came by and told us we could lead the way to whatever table we would like. We headed outside to awesome sized picnic tables! Dining as a couple, we tend to enjoy seeing each other across the table. The picnic tables were cluttered with a large fire display with a wooden cover. Super cool, however it left probably a one foot square area for my partner and I each to dine. (The server didn't offer to take off the bulky cover until our food was practically gone, so we declined.) We just had water to drink. To start we tried the Gouda mac & cheese bites, which were tasty! My partner's water was gone during the appetizer, but it didn't get filled the rest of our time. We ordered a pizza- great size for a decent prize! We also tried the spicy chicken sandwich that came with chips. It was overpriced for the size of the sandwich and lack in flavor of the chips. We waited for our check at least 10 minutes after our server cleared our space. We weren't drinking anything special, so it felt like there was a lack in attention towards us to have to wait so long. Both servers working were kind at every encounter, but it seemed like Local Post wasn't staffed strongly enough or the server wasn't being attentive enough during our experience. read more

This is our new favorite place to hangout! My fiancé is a triplet so we decided to have an impromptu birthday celebration for them here and did not regret it. We hung out in the basement area (which is like someone's cool basement but with awesome food and drinks on command ) The owner, Mike, was beyond accommodating. Even though they don't take reservations, he told me he would try to help me lock down the basement area since we had so many people. He shook everyone's hand and introduced himself as they got there and he checked on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed for the night. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. All of the bartenders were super attentive and friendly also- it seems like a really good culture to work in based on how happy everyone is. We had an awesome time and will definitely be hanging out there as much as possible. OH & and the food and drinks were delicious too ;) !! Grown up grilled cheese is incredible, the fries are amazing, and my moscow mules had little candied ginger pieces which was just fun and tasty. Love it all. read more

Great vegetarian options! Usually when when we go to bars, the food options are all fried and meat based, but they have some great salads and sandwich options. The servers are also so friendly! This is definitely a place where the bartender remembers your name. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Ordered carryout last night and was pleasantly surprised that we have a pizza joint in this town other than the samies. We ordered the house salad, spicy italian wings, and the THE DEFIBRILATOR pizza. The wings were way to hot as in red pepper hot. Not to be confused with spicy (lots of flavorful spices) as the person who took my order did. We enjoyed the flavor (spiciness) of the red sauce however it was laced with crushed red pepper that kind of numbed our tastebuds. The wings were also a bit overcooked, if you like them moist and soft they did not live up to it! I had some friends tell me that they were not crispy enough for them however that's not the issue for me, Crispy skin or softer skin as in baked are both fine, it's whats inside that counts and they were dry! The salad was as salads go, not bad, however I did not catch the fact that there were banana peppers on it otherwise I would have had the chef keep them off. Once they touch the lettuce it's to late, you cannot get the vinegar flavor off of it. The pizza was overall fantastic! We order it without the bacon and ham, I felt that it was too many flavors and just wanted the ones I really like to shine. The slices of meatball are fantastic, it could have used a bit more pepperoni and sausage and was a bit on the dry side (needs more sauce). Next time I order it I will ask for a bit more sauce, It had a very nice flavor and thats what I prefer in a pizza! No fufu pizzas! I'm Sicilian and prefer a thin crispy crust and that definitely what it is. Fufu as in cereal or eggs on my pizza! Just bring on the good old sauce, meat and cheese! Learned about this place from the Burger Week web site. Went Sunday night, the last night of burger week. The burger was delicious- normally $14 for only $5. Cool neighborhood place. Patio was cute but it was too hot. They were out of a bunch of appetizers, including the cheese curds which other yelp review had suggested. Got their fries with seasoning and garlic aioli. Delish. Place would get a better rating but service was horrific. Waited 15 minutes for waitress to notice us (had to ask others to get her.).She didn't even apologize. Had to get our own napkins. We were on our way to someplace else and decided to stop in for a beer. Nice space, great atmosphere, and the extra space downstairs is nice if it ever gets overcrowded upstairs. They have a nice size patio out back too but didn't have any patio furniture when we were there. They owner explained that they were expecting it to come in soon. This was our 1st visit to the Local Post, I had not heard of them before and had not seen them in any best burger lists in Cincinnati, I saw them advertising on Groupon Coupons, so I bought one and we tried it out today around 5:30 PM on Friday 06/29/2019 I looked they may have taken an old building and renovated it into a beautiful sports bar, it has a downstairs seating area with at least 1 Pool table, we ate upstairs and did not go down, it's much bigger on the inside that it looks outside, parking is mostly on Eastern Ave. during extremely busy times, a parking spot might be hard to come by, it was already getting crowded, the place looked very clean and updated, the waitress was a lovely young girl that was extremely nice & Friendly & helpful, she brought us refills on on our water which came in some different glass wine bottles, a nice tough, but it was warm inside and we could have used some ice as the water got warm fast, the waitress really was awesome, she cam back many times asking how everything was & if we needed anything, solid waitress, she did a great job. We started out with the, Cheese Curds: Wisconsin cheddar curds, local beer batter and fried golden. served with sriracha aioli, $8 we just returned a couple of weeks ago from a vacation in Madison, Wisconsin and tried Cheese Curds at several places while there, including the #1 rated location in Madison, known for their cheese products and curds, these curds at Local post we would both have to agree were every bit as good as the #1 place in Madison, so before i get to the burger review, I would definitely recommend going here for the Cheese Curds, they were absolutely Awesome Now for the Burger review. I ordered the East End Burger: american cheese, bacon, red onion, shredded lettuce, tomato & garlic aioli. delivered on challah with a fried pickle topper. $14 The East End Burger was just fantastic, the flavor of the beef was delicious, I knew from the 1st bite it was definitely to 10 and maybe top 5 on our best burger list, I always tear off a piece of the meat to taste it with nothing else on it and it was very flavorful, I always order my burgers Medium-well when asked, this one they did not ask and came what appeared to be very well done, it had what I call, blackened seared edges, and again it was delish, after the 1st bite into the whole burger i knew it was one of the best I've ever had, the fried pickle on top was excellent, so I can also now recommend the Fried Pickles as an appetizer, the bacon was nice and crispy and tasty, red onion & lettuce and tomato were fresh and good, the garlic aoili also added to the flavor, the bun did not fall apart which for me is a key to a good burger, it was tasty and added to the flavor, the 2 patties added up to a very thick burger, and covered the entire bun, with just a bit sticking out, the meat appeared to be hand-made and not frozen patties out of a box, My Wife also agreed it was one excellent burger, she like it so much we switched burgers as she liked it better than the one she ordered, which we will review here next., it was also a big burger, you better be hungry, you can get it with chips or upgrade to fries for $2, or a House Salad for $5 more, we did both, she got a salad with ranch and I got fries with mine, the fries as compared to others, were just ok, I could eat them, but would not order them again, I would get the salad and or stick with the chips, the salad was big, fresh and very good, and so was the ranch dressing, just some plain old hand cut fries would be better. Now for my Wife's burger, she ordered the Royale With Cheese: two 1/4 lb. patties, american cheese, pickles, onion, lettuce, and posty sauce delivered on 16 bricks focaccia $14 The 2 patties on this was thicker than on my Burger, and also very tasty, but we both preferred the thinner patties, but that's not taking anything away from these, they tasted very good, the Focaccia bun was good, but we both also preferred the Challah bun on the other one, we switched burgers she like the East End Burger so well, I liked both but also preferred the East end. overall a very good burger, I only rank 1 Burger per location, as I take the best one from each place, but i would rank this one outside the top 10 on our list, would I order it again, no, 2 reasons, the East End Burger is that much better and just did not care as much for the Focaccia bun, a good Brioche would be nice for this one. Final Thoughts: Awesome Cheese Curds, very good Fried Pickle on the burger, and overall the East End Burger makes it to #5 on our list, we will return, & I definitely recommend the East End Burger, and Curds, overall it's a wonderful place to go, a bit loud, hard to hear inside, but very nice place, you can watch some sports & have a beer and a burger and appetizers. read more

Despite living about a block away from this place, it took me a while to actually get there. My boyfriend and I finally decided to check it out last week, at about 6 PM on a Wednesday. It was virtually empty inside, but had a few people sitting out back in the patio area. We chose to sit outside. Only con about sitting outside was that the music was loud. Eventually someone must have asked for it to be turned down because it got much quieter. We both got beers since there was a $2 off drafts happy hour special. Made the beers around $4. Not a bad price at all and pretty decent selection. We were not feeling pizza for probably the first time in our lives, so I got a grilled cheese and onion rings. My boyfriend got a BLT and fries. Overall the food was above average. I really liked the BK-esque zesty sauce that came with the onion rings and we kept fighting over who was going to dip their food in it next. Everything was reasonably priced as well. I think we spent about $10 a piece not including alcohol. On our way out, I noticed a lot more patrons inside as well as at some more of the tables in the back patio area. I will definitely visit again! Partially because it's so close, but honestly the food was good too and that's what it's really about. Looking forward to trying a pizza and seeing what this place can become! read more

The decor is awesome if you love exposed brick and reclaimed wood, which I do. Craft beer prices are normal ~$6. Domestic beer is also $6, which makes no sense to me. The goat cheese dip was sooo good. I don't like peaches and they were able to accommodate my request to get without. Thumbs-up there. The pizza was so-so. Not horrible but not something I would crave. Just fine. Our server was nice and attentive. People seemed to be enjoying themselves on a Saturday night. It's nice to see this side of Eastern Ave and Columbia Tusculum get more businesses. If I'm around that area, I'd swing in for a drink and appetizer but I don't know that I'd go out of my way just yet. read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. The atmosphere is chill but fun, and the staff is helpful and they seem to work well together. The bartender Kale greeted me and answered all my questions about their beers and the shots and drinks on their menu board. He was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and didn't seem bothered by my questions despite being busy. I ordered a burger too, and it was huge and looked and tasted great. I got to talk to Tina, the chef who made it, briefly, and she was really fun to talk to and appeared to be helping other staff members when she could. Overall, I was impressed by the staff, food, and drinks, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun new spot. read more

The space is phenomenal. Gorgeous bar and really spacious patio. This place will be a go to spot for when the weather gets nice! The bar has about 10 taps and a good selection of bottle/canned beer. I love the cutouts in the floor and the basement space is impressive. And now for the food, GET THE WINGS. The sauces are incredibly flavorful and the wings themselves are huge! We had the wings, hummus, goat cheese dip, and a pizza(we were hungry!). All were fantastic. The pizza was perfectly cooked and heavily topped. Went with a friend, we each enjoyed a delicious margarita. My friend ate a side salad, it was pretty big for a side salad. She said it was fresh and a perfect healthy snack. Unfortunately I'll be careful if we ever decide to go back because both my tip and my friends tip were changed after we left by what we assume was the waitress. The manager did remove the "extra" tip when we called the next day but that definitely makes me think twice about wanting to go back. The food was amazing with a great environment that was awesome about social distancing! I was in the first time about a week ago and my server Alyssa was friendly and had amazing recommendations. I returned to Local Post with hesitation of the service we would receive. We came in on a Sunday afternoon so the crowd was decent. I must say this place has changed its tune. The bartender greeted us with a smile and told us to sit anywhere. We sat and were quickly greeted by a server who did an excellent job. I've never been upset with the food so that was solid, but I must say that the service has really done a 180. I applaud the owners for whatever they are doing to change. Congrats! read more

Friends, This place is a sleeper, everything on the menu is quietly amazing. - The dry rub wings are the best I've ever had. They will win an award very soon. - The burgers are better than any of the heavy hitters around (Terrys, Zips, Allyns, etc.) The falafel burger is out of this world if your into that. - By the way, the pizza is fire too.
