Great local place not to far from Skiburst mountain. A okace to stop in while visiting for a cold beverage or a bite to eat. Great small town feel with a dedicated staff and great service. Had the burgers and the mother clicker all food was hot served fast and tasted so good!!! Can't wait until next years annual tubing trip to stop back in!

Build your own burger with double patties (2/3#) and cheese on a hard roll with fries

I've seen pictures on social media of some awesome looking burgers and soup from Local Press Burger Bar, but stopping in Kewaskum usually isn't convenient for me. I was able to cobble together an excuse to head up that way with my kids over a recent weekend and we stopped for lunch. I ordered a build your own burger with double patties (2/3#) and cheese on a hard roll with fries for the side. One kid ordered a bacon cheeseburger on a potato bun with fries and the other had chicken strips with fries. I also got a bowl of soup for myself, which was chicken noodle that day. The soup was nearly perfect. You could tell it was homemade with the large chunks of real chicken and cavatappi noodle, which is uncommon for chicken noodle soup. My one thought while eating it is was that it could have used a little salt. Ironically, I thought the burger had an excessive amount of salt on most of it, which is a shame because in the moments where there wasn't as much salt, the flavor reminded me of the burger I get from Friar Tucks in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac, which I consider to be my favorite burger in the world. It had the potential to be just as good, especially with the unexpectedly awesome hard roll. If they can better manage the salt on the burger, this would be a new go to of mine even with Kewaskum not being convenient. The kids liked their food, which was a plus, and the bite I tried of one of the chicken strip was great, maybe among the best chicken strips I've had. I couldn't find a picture of a kids menu anywhere on social media, but it's pretty basic with a (cheese)burger, chicken strips, and mac and cheese. I know they have special cheesecakes that rotate, but the cherry kind they had that day didn't appeal to me. I'm hoping to stop back the next time they have the animal cookie cheesecake in stock.

I recently ate here with my son and daughter in law. We had a appetizer of Funyon onion petals. They were very good. I ordered The Dirty Harry burger with fries. It was good. My son had The Beasty Boy Burger with Truffle fries. He said was very good. My daughter in law had the On The Fence burger with fries. She said was good. The food is fresh and worth the wait as made to order. The fries are nice and crispy but soft. The business was clean and the staff friendly. Would recommend as they offer some very unique burgers.

Recently I had my new favorite, the Maple Glazed Salmon... highly recommend! My wife's meal however was a little lacking, it was a special that day, some type of shrimp risotto that was lukewarm and a little mushy, the side salad was also a wilted, not fresh. This was a let down, because I usually enjoy my meals at the Pig.... Especially the desserts! I'm going to say this was a one off, and will be back for the Honey Glazed Salmon, and of course, the desserts!

We kept changing our minds on what to eat and we decided on the brisket grilled cheese and we were not disappointed. The Gouda cheese, brisket, and mushrooms were a great flavor. Server was amazing and very accommodating. All in all a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend.

Happy hour, served 2:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday, gives you a chance to sample a variety of beers, seltzers, cocktails and Jameson whiskey soaked cherries. For entertainment there is a pool table, darts, video gambling and pull tabs. For convenience, there is a place out back with a designated smoking area. The menu has appetizers, cold sandwiches, kids meals, paninis, pizza, salads and hoagies. Several of the dips/sauces are homemade, and I found the dip served with the chips was especially good. It's the creation of the owners mother, and has a lovely whipped texture with garlic and onion flavor. I had the Rasta Roots salad, and my husband had the Simply Tuna sandwich. The salad was good, with the grilled chicken being served shredded instead of in strips. The jerk ranch had a little kick at the end, and was served on the side. The sandwich was nicely grilled, and the tuna salad was truly "touched with mayonnaise" so the tuna flavor stood out and not the dressing. Service was a little slow, but since we weren't in a huge rush it wasn't an issue. This is a nice, laid back spot with a beautiful brick and wood interior, and plenty of room at the U-shaped bar to socialize and chill.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly. The space has a cozy feel, and they also have a little patio in the back if you want to sit outside when the weather is nice. Their specials were great too, and I loved that you can buy a bottle of wine to go. Even better, they keep the white wines cold, which is such a thoughtful touch. We both tried the salad special. I added chicken to mine, and my friend added salmon. I probably should have gone with the salmon because hers was cooked really nicely, while my chicken was a little on the dry side. That said, the salad itself was fresh, and the fruit on it tasted really good. They also had a nice beer selection with solid options on tap, so it seems like a good place whether you're stopping in for lunch, a drink, or something casual after work. Overall, friendly service, quick food, and a cute little spot I'd come back to.

Their menu consists largely of Mac & Cheese, wraps, paninis and frozen custard. Being a Wisconsinite it really resonates with me. I get the classic "original" mac and cheese every time. It's always consistently good and it's still warm after my 20 minute drive home. They use a less common noodle that is quite large and the portion is generous too. The other menu item I'm always to is the shake of the week. They always have a different one and they're always good. Oh, and I have to mention their salads. Not for me, but my mother likes them as much a salad she gets anywhere else. Another thing I appreciate is the fact they have an app. An app for a local place isn't common in my experience. This makes it easy to order in advance so you can skip the line, skip the phone call and better still earn rewards. Finally, I have to commend a few of the guys who work here. Two gentlemen in particular who both are always pleasant and personable, which alone is commendable, but they've also both been there a few years. They both seem to be managers, but I'm not sure, though I wanted to recognize them. Both are older than the general staff and both are there various weekdays.
