Brisket sandwich and maple brussels sprouts.
    Amy W.

I don't like to give bad reviews in general - and especially not during Covid with every restaurant trying to survive, but if I am going to be overall nicer, then restaurants have to at least TRY and do better. This review would normally be a 2 for me, and look at my reviews, I RARELY give a 2 - only 8% of the time. We saw this place on the way to Downtown Calistoga. I looked it up and it was obviously new (based on #'s of reviews). We did our errand at our winery and decided to come back for lunch on a Saturday around 1pm (Note there was no line an hour prior indicating they would be out of nearly everything). We had done our research, looking at the menu and had settled on the Saturday special of pork, some wings, the brussels sprouts and maybe some pork belly. Got there at 1:05. There was no line, not a lot of activity. There was a sign just outside the door advertising the Brussels sprouts. Young pretty girl at the counter, and a busy guy making burgers in the kitchen behind her. I start to order, but they were out of the wings, out of the pork, out of the pork belly. Now, I am 99% certain they did not sell out, they never had it on offer that day - so 1st of all, be honest, and offer some excuse, like "we are new and just getting our bearings". THEN ALSO have some kind of notification, other than the poor girl who has to give the news to everyone who tries to order (Note to owner: Get a chalkboard sign with things crossed out, or even put a paper sign on the counter that lists things you are out of. (Again - do better at communication to your customers at the very least, or it will only lead to disappointed experiences & reviews like this one.) Out of wings, out of pork, out of pork belly, I was so annoyed I don't recall if they were out of anything else. I had to ask the gal what they DID have: burgers, tri tip and brisket. roughly 50% of their menu offerings. We ended up ordering a brisket sandwich, some coleslaw and some brussels sprouts. The brisket was good, a little fatty, and there could have been more meat on the sandwich (maybe they were afraid of running out of another thing??). The coleslaw was nothing special, the brussels were good, if a bit greasy. We ate in the parking lot, at the tables provided - which I would NOT recommend, due to the flys/bugs landing on you and your food. Eat inside, or in your car.

The food was great. Friendly service. Just a basic burger/bbq joint. Only thing that I didn't like was I counted eight flies buzzing around.

Pork Belly Bites, Brisket Sandwich, Sweet Potato fries, Half Rack ribs.

Great service, delicious food! The pork belly bites were the winner for me, but my wife liked her brisket more. Nothing bad in this picture! Tender falls off the bone with a little tug, but not so cooked that it's just a slop of meat. Delicious sauce. Great job team.

This place is a little off the beaten path when it comes to touring Calistoga, but it's not to be missed. I've driven past this place multiple times on my way to work and finally pulled over and tried it. They absolutely know what they're doing. The portions are great. The ribs were delicious to say the least and they even have a 4 rib dinner if you're not looking for a whole half rack. The fries were cooked and salted perfectly. Tried the maple Brussel sprouts and for five dollars the portion was impressive. The taste was even better. Grabbed two lbs of pulled pork for dinner tomorrow night and I gotta tell you I'm excited. Prices were also really reasonable. Again, not down town Calistoga but definitely not too far. Don't miss out. *sorry for the weird lighting.

Tater tots with lots of garlic and parsley - served with ranch dressing. YUM!

While perusing the local businesses, we discovered Lincoln Avenue Brewery tucked in a small alley. A bartender by the name of Liza warmly greeted us as we took a seat at the bar. Since we were not terribly hungry at the moment, we ordered the Pork Belly from the appetizer menu. While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. If you're looking for exceptional customer service, a healthy variety of brews, and delicious food - I recommend visiting Lincoln Avenue Brewery!

Nice space friendly staff, good fresh beer and inside and outside (covered) seating. Your order at the bar and they bring the food to you. She was fun, informative, energetic, great sense of humor and quite knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the castle. Her energy made the tasting! I will be honest, I was hoping the wines would have been better but the experience completely made up for it, and then some. I expected the Cabernet Sauvignon to be big and bold as these are the flavors of Calistoga and Napa Valley. That said, we enjoyed the Chardonnay Reserve, Sangiovese and Serata, which is a blend of reds. Also enjoyed the La Fantasia. We left the castle all smiling and chatting about how wonderful and fun our host, Riddhi, was and even spoke with her on the way out. She is a gem. We all enjoyed the experience and the tasting. Even after multiple visits, walking through the castle still feels like stepping into Europe. From the moat and drawbridge to the underground cellars, the entire property captures the atmosphere of a medieval Italian castle, making it well worth the visit even before the wine tasting begins. The highlight of every visit is still my favorite wine, La Fantasia. This lightly sparkling Italian-style rosé is sweet, refreshing, and incredibly easy to drink. It offers bright notes of strawberry, raspberry, and mixed berries, balanced by a gentle fizz that keeps it from feeling overly sweet. It's the kind of wine that both casual wine drinkers and enthusiasts can enjoy. Served chilled, it's especially refreshing on a warm Napa afternoon and pairs wonderfully with desserts or simply as a relaxing treat on its own. Beyond La Fantasia, the winery consistently produces excellent wines across its portfolio. One of the perks of being a member is having access to exclusive releases and special tastings that aren't always available to the public. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and never pushy, which makes every visit enjoyable and relaxed. There are countless wineries in Napa, but few combine architecture, atmosphere, and wine quite as successfully as Castello di Amorosa. Whether it's your first trip to Napa or your tenth, this is a place worth returning to again and again. And somehow, I never seem to leave without bringing a few bottles home.

A cozy tasting room, with intimate seating and a really fun selection of wine unlike anything I've ever had. I see a couple of reviews here complaining about party size limits and the timing of final tastings. I unfortunately witnessed the same level of entitlement from a group of 13 people who came in asking to be seated 45 min before closing. First, read the web site. Tasting room rules and requirements have been changing since COVID. This should be nothing new. It was kindly explained to the large group that the tasting room was full, that they only accept small parties, and the last tasting is at 4 pm. Once, that detail was explained to one person in the group, another would ask the same questions and would receive the same answer. Hannah politely declined THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE in the group before their final entitled and 'intimidating tactic': asking Hannah or Alyssa if they were the owners (they are not). The woman declared "we're all business owners and we wouldn't turn away a party of 13 people that could bring money into our business". Good for you, 'Susan'! Tank employees are purely following their business policy, which is clearly stated on their web site and don't run your business. Her final intimidation tactic was to ask for the owner's information-- which she didn't take--and the group finally left. Good riddance. Tank is NOT the winery for you, Other than the experience of yet another group of entitled wypipo ruining the tasting experience of those of us already there, we had a wonderful experience, bought a membership, and will be back again. This is the atmosphere and environment that my partner and I enjoy with the types of kind and knowledgeable employees we love who will smile through all types of garbage shoveled at them with no problem. If folks complaining about arbitrary things had othered to look at the website for specifics, perhaps they'd move on instead of trying to intimidate their way into another situation
