Our server(Keira) was excellent and the manager Diana came by the table to welcome us very sincerely as first time guests. What really impresses me is the standards they have here. Went on a Thursday evening, our waiter barely spoke to us. Never asked us if we wanted anything to drink other than the water we got when we were seated. Ordered the cast iron baked goat cheese as an appetizer and the ahi tuna poke bowl as an entree which both came out to the table at the same time. Based on the great food, exceptional service, and hospitality you would have no idea that Local Table had just opened this location. Came here by myself after work and needed a place to grab some food/drink and work on my laptop. The restaurant was large, open, and beautiful. I had no issues connecting to the wifi. Angie, my server gave several great recommendations and was attentive throughout my whole experience. She recommended starting off with the Spinach Dip that was on their happy hour (M-F, 4-7) menu, followed by the Anaheim Grilled Chicken for dinner. Both were delicious and the chicken came out faster than any meal I've had in a restaurant. I also appreciated that during my meal, the (presumable) manager stopped by and checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory. Lastly, having worked in the restaurant industry myself I felt bad taking up one of Angie's tables and told her to just let me know if she needed it. She of course denied and told me to stay as long as I wanted. Still, I didn't want to overstay so I began packing up my things. Right before I was going to leave Angie told me there was an extra Cucumber Martini made if I wanted it as it was made by mistake. She could've easily let me go on my way but made an effort to show that I didn't have to leave! (Also that was the best martini I've had in my entire life) What great service. Local Table is a nice restaurant in a hidden strip. I was looking to order a Thanksgiving take out and Local Table came up. I felt confident once I realized it's part of the Hungry's restaurant in West University. We picked up the Thanksgiving meal for 10 on Thanksgiving eve, and it was excellent although it would be helpful for your average folks if they had included reheating instructions. The pre carved turkey was flavorful, moist. All the sides were good. We had a lot of leftover and the turkey still tasted great into the next week without the gamey old turkey taste, which attested to them using a very fresh turkey, proper brining and professional roasting technique. So we returned for a family dinner of 6 and it was also a great meal. The food was flavorful, good portion. Most dining out food, whether good tasting or not, is not healthy but I would say Local Food tries to be comparable to a healthy meal one would cook at home. This is the place to come if you want good, fresh and healthy food! We also notice that the staff here was warm & seem to really care, that they could be a family run business. read more

First time trying Local Table for a weekday lunch this week: rounding up my rating from 4.5 because my husband mentioned that the chicken sandwich was a bit dry, but other than that everything we ordered was tasty. I had the Asian salad which had really good flavors, fresh. Falafels add-on was delicious - well-seasoned. I'm so happy this restaurant opened up in the Woodlands. It's one of my favorites for a quick healthy bite. Love the ahi tuna appetizer and ahi bowl! So yummy. The chipotle chicken wrap also great. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a better kids menu than most restaurants and my kids really enjoy it. The service is always great and food comes out shockingly fast.
