I've been in here twice for drinks & food. On my last visit my friend's & I sat @ the bar. We came in on 07/30/2025 @ around 6pm. The place was packed & very noisy. So if you're looking for a quiet place to eat & have a conversation with your company this is probably not the place for you. Not sure what the older, female bartender's name was as she never told us, no name tag & nor was her name on my receipt. Just says: PM Bar P. But my friend's were not a big fan of her, they felt that she was very rude. To me it seemed like she was very overwhelmed with handling the bar by herself. There was a male with a Local's t-shirt on sitting @ the bar who every once & in awhile would go behind the bar...not sure why or what he was doing but he wasn't waiting on customers. I even saw a waitress going behind the bar to pour her customer's beers on tap & found that interesting.....maybe cause the bartender was taking too long? We ordered food & that actually came out pretty quickly. I got a southwest bowl with no rice & even though it didn't look very good it was tasty. My one friend got the pull pork sandwich & it was huge, she couldn't even eat it all. My other friend got the Buffalo Mac & Cheese which also was a good portion & she had to take 1/2 of it home. I tried a small bit and man my acid reflux didn't agree with it. My one friend likes her water with no ice in it which she asked for but ended up getting some ice in it. Once she was done with her water the bartender came over & grabbed the glass and had asked us if we needed anything while holding the empty glass and I was getting ready to ask for a refill cause my friend wanted more water & she walked off and didn't even bring back another water which I thought was weird. If you see a drink but empty wouldn't you ask that person "would you like a refill/or another one?" She was still trying to eat her meal and wanted the water to go with it. Popped in today for a quick bite and a drink while out running errands. The employees are fun here and can take a joke and more importantly, they can dish it out too! The service is prompt and the girls circle around and take turns asking if u need any refills or food or anything. Very good service. The bar and lounge was pretty full but still plenty of room for more stragglers. Dart boards, and arcade, and jukebox was untouched today. The music playing was great though. We ordered a dozen hot wings for $15.99 first and really enjoyed them. The wings were nice and big too! The ranch and blue cheese dressings seem home made and are nice and thick. The paired celery was fresh and didnt have any brown like many wing plates from others spots. Then we shared a greek salad with chicken. This salad is great and even comes with tzatziki AND dressing. Along with 2 pieces of nice homemade style pita. Salad had cukes, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, olives, feta, spring mix, pitas, grilled chicken, dressing, and tzatziki. Very nice visually. Next time ill ask for an additional dressing and red onions. Overall a dozen wings, greek salad, 2 cocktail, a corona, and a coke was $60. The food is honestly very good here. Ok the service was coming off early shift and the late shift started minutes after we arrived. Our waitress Maddison was great, we were thankful when she took over for us. The atmosphere is so clean and welcoming. The bar seats are VERY COMFORTABLE and I have a large bottom so I was impressed. The food is quality. American and delicious. After a round of golf at nearby Sagamore Hampton Golf Course my group was looking for lunch and a beverage. The course had little to offer except steamed hotdogs and premade and packaged sandwiches. So we searched for a local lunch spot and found "Locals Restaurant and Pub just 2 miles away. Were glad we did as it was very good. I had an excellent "Super Reuben" sandwich with their own double dipped onion rings. The Reuben was one of the best ive had in quite a while. The sandwich was stuffed with fresh corned beef, sauerkrout, Swiss cheese, and 1000 Island dressing on marble rye. It was delicious. The onion rings were easily the best as they were made fresh, not frozen as is the norm. My playing partners both had the fish and chips and were quote satisfied. They had many appealing beers on tap to choose from. Service was terrific.This will be our post round stop whenever we play Sagamore or the nearby Breakfast Hill golf clubs. read more

Went there last Thanksgiving and it was a limited menu dude to the holiday. I got the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and the best cranberry sauce I've ever eaten. Definitely homemade and not a lot is given but the rest of the food was delicious and plenty of it. If I remember correctly it was $17.00 for that plate. We live a mile away and do takeout from Local's a lot. 85% of the time, the food is cooked well, sometimes it is overcooked. We've recently have been eating in the restaurant and I have to say 90-95% of the time we have had great food (Friday night prime rib is fabulous and my daughter always gets good fish and chips ). The servers are always super friendly and attentive. We like to play the 'jukebox' but it is so loud in the bar that dominates the building space that it is almost impossible to hear the music. read more

First time here, upon arrival the place looks nice. New building with ample of parking, the inside looks like your Typical restaurant /bar with dart boards and a huge bar. My first impression was nice place looks like locals go to hang out. We started off with nachos with chicken and for dinner steak tips which comes with two sides of your choice, our choice was mashed and salad, and a Reuben sandwich with fries. It took a solid 30 min to get the nachos which came out with our dinner, appetizer is meant before dinner not with(). Nachos where prob one of the worst I've had in a while, chicken was dry and it all lacked flavor. Steak tips were ordered medium and came back well done , i dont even think you can call these steak tips as they were thin and flavorless. The mashed taste premade and we never got the salad so couldn't tell you about that. Reuben was bland as it lacked more sauce and sauerkraut and meat was thick. Drinks were ok even though they forgot the salt on the margarita . Service was horrible and upon Leaving noticed cigarette butts all over the front walk way. I've been to Locals 4 times and all were beyond expectation. Beth was our server each time and she is attentive and friendly. The booths in the bar are roomy and comfortable and there is a decent view of a TV screen from most angles. They have a decent tap beer selection. I enjoyed a Tuckerman's last time I was there. The food is so much better than average for a Sport's bar. I had a fabulous prime rib sandwich for $9.99. Everything was fresh and the quality of the meat is obvious. I asked for hot horseradish and they mixed me up a batch that was perfect. I have had the Cajun fish wrap a few times and it's always fresh and delicious. They have a pool table that is rarely occupied. Restaurant dot com has a $10 coupon available for $4. You can have dinner for two, and a couple of beers, for less than $30. Great deal! The restaurant side seems a bit lonely. I suggest you dine in on the bar side. read more

Awesome place to eat! On a mini-Vaca and found this gem! This place is exactly what the name of the restaurant is called Locals - you will definitely find them here, which means it's really awesome. Our wait was not at all, seated immediately and it is a seat yourself, but a wait staff was quickly there to welcome us and to point out to sit any place we like. Our waitress was great, very polite, attentive and funny. Every Friday and Saturday they serve prime rib starting at 4pm. We arrived at about 4:40 and she had to check if they still had any!! Yup, that means it's awesome and luckily, I was able to snag a piece. We tried their prime rib egg rolls as an appetizer and they were great! My husband got their prime rib sandwich meal and, me, like I said, I was fortunate to get their prime rib and it was delicious. Very tender and spot on!! The place isn't that big, but was pretty busy. We really liked the set up, U-shaped bar in the center, with seats all around that. A few tv's with sports and they no longer have the pool table, but still have two dart boards and recently added, 2 rooms with simulated golf, which seems to be a big hit. Even though we were full, we tried the one and only dessert they offer, fried oreos with ice cream, drizzled with hot fudge-again awesome! If you're ever on Lafayette Road in North Hampton, New Hampshire, stop in!! We were shocked to see the low ratings for this super neighborhood bar. I can't tell you how much better the food is than many local places. The bartenders ante ALWAYS pleasant and efficient. I went in here on their opening day. The bar was packed so I sat at a table. I like the menu a lot. It is simple but has a good selection. Burgers, paninis, pasta dishes and some fish. Lots if good apps too. Deserts look aweome but I didn't have time to try one. Bread to start was soft and delicious. French martini was very good too. Decided to check this place out shortly after it opened. I was excited to finally see something come into the Wings Your Way building. I hate to say it, but I wasn't impressed. Our service wasn't very good, and the meal was just okay. When we got there, we ordered beers, and an appetizer of wings. After 20 minutes, we still did not get our beers. Our waitress felt horrible, and rushed to get them for us, but then we waited again for them. Finally, the owner came to our table and said that the beer we ordered was "pouring bad" so he was going to get us something else, on him. That was certainly nice, but I think I would have liked to know that sooner. Also? They have a HUGE list of beers on draft, but they did not have a list on the table for us to reference. The wings were actually quite tasty, the Chipolte BBQ sauce was great. However, We got our appetizer,but no plates. We flagged down a staff member and asked for plates, and by the time we were done with our food, the plates arrived. My boyfriend ordered a chicken and shrimp dish, and I ordered a panini sandwich. My sandwich was a glorified grilled cheese sandwich with chicken in it. And the boyfriend's meal failed to impress him as well. We don't consider ourselves "foodies", but we left that night just feeling unimpressed by the place. read more

I truly want to like Locals, but something is missing for me. Being that I've been there a handful of times since 2012 I feel as though I am apt to review it, and I unfortunately have to go with two stars. First and foremost in each of my visits the employees have always been nothing short of amazing, and they are the reason why I am giving Locals two stars. They are incredibly nice and professional with every patron each time - a rarity this day in age, and a breath of fresh air. The location is solid - the restaurant has made large changes since Wings Your Way owned the building. They've knocked down some walls, opened the place up, added a couple pool tables, a few dart boards, and some arcade games (Buck Hunter and Golden Tee). The beer selection is limited. Very generic selection and if you're picky about your brews then you're certainly going to struggle here. They have a full bar, though, so you'll be able to get a good mixed drink if you're unhappy with the draft/bottle choices. The food...is just not good. The various meals I've had have always fallen flat for me and are nothing at all to write home about. Unfortunately, being that this is a restaurant, there isn't anything else for me to truly rate besides their food. Don't get me wrong - the location, the pool tables, the great staff are all solid and wonderful, but when the food is this poor you (the customer) lose the urge to visit again. Our latest meal, the mac & cheese and chicken tenders, were a big let-down. The fries were nice, but the chicken tenders were these thin dilapidated frozen tenders that were just deep-fried and plain/unfulfilling. The pasta was overcooked and sort of became a hot mess when made into mac & cheese. We left full, but dissatisfied with the quality. I'm sure I'd try them again if someone wanted to visit there, but it will not be a top choice when I'm in the area. read more

We've been looking to eat here but wanted to give them a chance to work out the bugs of a new restaurant. Last Friday we gave them a shot. First we wanted to check out the menu. We had trouble finding information about them on line. When we tried to look at Locals in North Hampton we got listings for either local restaurants or links for local singles. We finally had to locate them on Facebook to be about to see their menu. We got to the restaurant around 7:30. There was three girls waiting to seat us. My wife and I found the place to be a bit bland in appearance. All the walls were a light Gray. Not a very warm and welcoming appearance. There also wasn't any background music so if felt like we were dining in a library. Like if we spoke with normal speaking voices we would disturb someone. While we were waiting for our waitress my wife pointed out and we both watched a waitress pull off a hair band, fix her ponytail and then pour drinks for a customer without washing her hands. Kind of gross. We both said, "Don't be our waitress. Please don't be ours!" She wasn't Our server came by and we ordered a couple of diet cokes and an order of onion rings. She brought us our sodas which they put lemons on the rim. I'm sure there are those out there that see this as a nice touch but it's a pet peeve of mine. I like my soda straight up and if I want citrus I'll ask for it. . Then we got our onion rings and they were disappointing. I thought they'd be home made but by the looks of the batter and the texture of the onion suggests they were frozen rings. Also they were over cooked. We sent them back and a manger stopped by and delivered us a new order. My wife also asked for vinegar for them. Usually here on the seacoast at a place that has fried fish on the menu they serve malt vinegar, but here they gave us red vinegar, About the time we got our onion rings the rest of our food arrived. We did keep it simple on this visit and just got appetizers. Pretzel sticks, potato wedges and chicken tenders. The pretzel sticks we just OK. I wasn't impressed. I thought they were going to be more like a pretzel and there were more like bread sticks. The chicken was pretty good. and I enjoyed the potato wedges. What I liked was they were cooked to a point of being crunchy. Where I liked them they were too overdone for my wife. Another thing was when we were finished and the waitress ran our credit card she kind of hung around the table and grabbed the singed check as soon as I was done. Kind of made us feel super rushed. Driven by several times, but finally decided to stop in. The bar was packed but the restaurant side was very quiet. Atmosphere on the restaurant side was lacking, but maybe because it was so deserted. There were plenty of TV's and a pool table if you were interested though. Locals menu has a good selection and the drink menu was pretty extensive too. Soup of the day was quite good and chock full. Salads were a good size and not bad, but nothing too special either. The entrees were quite large - a really good portion! Everything was cooked properly and was pretty tasty. Basically, the food was of a higher caliber than I expected. I expected "pub grub", kind of thrown at you like other sports bars, but this was much better than that. You could tell that whoever was in the kitchen takes pride in what they're doing. This was our first, but certainly not our last, visit to Locals. We were immediately struck by the friendly, warm atmosphere. From the deliciously crisp salad to our baked seafood entrees, everything was delicious! Our server, Emily, was the most friendly waitserver we have ever encountered and the owner, Andy, stopped by our table to welcome us. The menu is great and the prices so reasonable. Went last night for the first time with 2 other couples and 5 toddlers for dinner. The staff was extremely accommodating for the size and rambunctiousness of our group. We ordered the kids' meals first, which there was a decent selection. As a bonus they came with ice cream cups which made my daughter very happy! There was a nice selection of local brews on tap and the menu had a good selection of options for both the meat, sea and veggie lovers. Among our group we tried it all: wings, burgers, fish, steak, salads and pasta. No one was disappointed! The atmosphere was family friendly and the separate bar on the other side was nice for those who prefer more of a "pub" feel. The owner happened to be onsite that night and made a point to come by our table and introduce himself. It's nice to see more independent restaurants to choose from vs. the typical chain.
