The restaurant was welcoming and friendly and the service was superb. Even another table reached out for conversation and jokingly invited us to join their table. My wife really enjoyed her dish. I took a chance on a dish I've never tried before. It was just OK but I did like the Brussel spouts and bread plate appetizers. What really made this restaurant special was the hostess, Shannon. We went to Locanda Ischia for a birthday dinner. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated right away. What caught our eyes upon arrival was the blue color theme and the unique decoration of the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer Tagliere Locanda (cured meat and cheese) to start with. For main dishes, we got lasagna and lobster ravioli. The appetizer portion was huge! Although we ordered the size for 2 people, we were shocked by how big the plate was! It was a large plate filled with nuts, cured meats, cheese, and salad greens. The portion was more for 3-4 than 2. The cured meats were fresh and paired well with the cheese and nuts. The lobster ravioli was filled with lobster chunks and served with creamy sauce. It also came with a few pieces of shrimp. The lasagna was super creamy too and came with a generous portion of ground beef. We were pretty full after the main dishes and decided not to order dessert. However, the servers were super kind to offer us a free panna cotta. The panna cotta was smooth and creamy, and the sweetness was balanced out by the sour berry sauce on top. I discovered this restaurant on Yelp while searching for "happy hour," so the four of us decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a fantastic addition to Willow Glen! Since we didn't have a reservation, we were told we could only sit on the patio--perhaps because we just wanted appetizers. I wasn't sure, but I didn't mind; the weather was pleasant, and it was enjoyable to watch people stroll by. Still, I noticed the indoor area wasn't full, which made me wonder why we didn't have the option to sit inside. Every 5 to 10 minutes, a few servers or hostesses would step out of the restaurant, seemingly searching for someone or something. Regardless, the service was prompt, and our food arrived at the table without delay. Overall, we enjoyed the Happy Hour menu. The Truffle Fries were a favorite--so much so that I ordered a second round. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding, with a rich balsamic glaze and Parmigiano Reggiano that made them taste almost decadent. The Bruschetta was also delicious, featuring fresh tomatoes, basil, and other flavorful ingredients. The Panna Cotta was silky, delicate, and elegantly melt-in-your-mouth. On the other hand, the Margherita pizza was underwhelming--edible but not memorable. Similarly, the sangria lacked vibrancy. I would definitely return to try the main menu. Attended a Mother's Day lunch with about 15 people. Service was awesome and the delivery cadence was spot on with most dishes arriving at around the same time. I tried the chicken parm and it was a large portion with beaded, but soggy thin cut pounded cutlets. It came with two, stacked on top of each other. What an amazing space! My husband and I came in for an early dinner this past weekend for a nice little date night. We did not have reservations but able to get seated immediately at a high top table near the bar. Service and food were amazing. We had the fritto misto and the batter was exactly how I like it: light, crispy and thin. The prawns and calamari were perfectly cooked. I had the "wrong" scarpariello and it was so so good. A nice kick from the chili and pasta was perfectly al dente. They got the chew perfect. My husband had a nice eggplant parm. Portions were very generous and I was stuffed! Well...they treated us to a nice panna cotta too! ...and they nailed the texture too. Usually it's too firm or too loose. This one was perfect. First time here but blown away with everything. When we come back, I'll be sure to make reservations if it's on the weekend again but super happy to have such a nice spot for another amazing meal. read more

The food here is mind-blowing. Usually, we're disappointed by Dan jose restaurants, compared to what we're used to back in LA; but this Italian restaurant is on another level. That creamy parmesan and porcini dish is a total dream. The pasta was made beautifully, the sauces and ingredients felt authentic. Two of us went for lunch today. I gotta say I wasn't really impressed at all. Not what I was expecting. The Caprese salad used tasteless hothouse tomatoes. If you don't have good tomatoes just don't make the salad. Take it off the menu! Pacific amberjack fish was definitely frozen and tasted like it had been in the freezer way too long... It was a little bit fishy , a little bit overcooked and just generally not good. Once again, if you can't get a good ingredient, why would you put it in the menu? The waiter seemed busy, but there was hardly anybody there. It took forever to have lunch here nearly 2 hours. That's ridiculous. This place has a lot of potential. Made a reservation on Opentable to get dinner with a friend and we came on Sunday night around 5:45pm. We got to choose where we wanted to sit and it had a cute vibe inside (very cozy). We ordered the bread basket, fritto misto, zucchini fettuccine, and rigatoni. Everything came out very fast and our server was very attentive. My favorite wasn't even the food it was the dessert We ordered the tiramisu which had nutella drizzle and it was honestly the best tiramisu i've had! I didn't know Locanda Sorrento in Campbell had another spot in Willow Glen called Locanda Ischia. The space definitely has the same vibe as their Campbell location -- cozy, warm, and really nicely decorated. Service was great. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive. But the food was just okay for me. I'm not sure why, but I definitely prefer the dishes at the Campbell location more. We tried the fritto misto, basically calamari. It was good, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. My friend ordered the special of the day, the lobster ravioli, and I got the rigatoni alla vodka. Both dishes kind of tasted like they had the same sauce, and overall everything felt a bit bland. This is the best Italian restaurant I've been to. The rigatoni alla vodka is delicious and creamy, I love the smoky flavor from. I got the salmon, it was well cooked and the sauce that came with it paired nicely with the fish and all the vegetables. The man who seated us was very nice and accommodating, he even asked the chef to make truffle fries for us (it should be added to the menu). Came back to try some more delicious Italian food and was not disappointed. For drinks I tried the Locanda Spritz which is basically a lemoncello spritz, very tasty! Made reservations on Open Table and needed to move the reservation due to conflicts with my previous appt. Had a workshop down the way and it ran later than expected. The host was incredible and informed me that they were running behind about 20 minutes behind. She communicated throughout the processes which is the only thing you could actually ask for. I appreciate that instead of being ignored. The restaurant feel is like family. The servers make you laugh & the interior takes you to another world. I adored the tiles and color the chose for the walls. It's as if you're transported to Italy. The moment you sit down, the server is there getting you water, still or a bottle of sparking. I wanted to love this place so badly, but I am sad to report that I did not. I typically lean towards the positive in my reviews and wanted to do that here but decided I'm going to go with the truth We started with the frito misto, good - perfectly seasoned. I missed that it was served with an olive dip which I was bummed about as I'm not a huge olive fan, but it tasted fine without. Our second app was the arancine (fried risotto balls) and this is when my doubt began to creep in. The risotto seemed more like a pilaf which brought back memories of the last time I was disappointed by risotto, and it happened to be in the restaurant that held the space Locando Ischia took over. It made me wonder if some of the recipes transferred over from the previous restaurant. My husband ordered salmon and I got the carbonara. Thinking back on it I should have sent it back and am regretting that decision. The noodles were undercooked and the pepper and salt was very heavy handed. I ate about a third of it and took the rest of it home in hopes of doctoring it up at home. We have been to the Campbell location and were amazed by our meal so I wasn't sure what the disconnect was here and if they have a different head chef. A truly amazing experience from start to finish. Went there with my siblings to enjoy a reunion and celebrate what would have been our father's 105 birthday. We were not rushed and yet they were attentive The restaurant is bright and cheerful and , as the evening progressed , noisy but in a good way. The food was delicious as we tried several items. We started with Mamma Carmela's Meatballs, Fritto Misto (calamari and tiger prawns and a Caprese Salad The meatballs and calamari were excellent and I'd repeat them again. Caprese salad was small and perfect for sharing. Our mains included Spaghetti Vongole (clams), lasagna, Salmon Piccata , Braciola(seared stuffed beef rolls), and Ziti Amalfitani. All we truly wonderful with good sized servings. We finished the evening sharing Tiramisu, Torta Ciocxolato and Berry Panna Cotta ( my favorite was the Berry Panna Cotta) So overall 5 entrees, 3 appetizers/salads, desserts and 4-5 drinks for about $330. It's a little tough to write this review since I visited during opening week, but I'm still glad I had the chance to check out one of Willow Glen's newest spots. I came with my sister, mom, and niece on a somewhat busy Tuesday evening. I ordered the Summer Vibes salad, while the rest of the table had the carbonara ravioli and one of the specials. We were served bread with pesto to start. The pesto had an unexpected flavor--tasted more like parsley than basil--but the bread was soft and fresh, which I appreciated. My salad was pretty simple and could've used a little more flair. It felt more like a shareable side than a main, which makes sense since the real standouts seem to be the pastas and main entrées. The pasta dishes were definitely rich, creamy, and flavorful. Service was on the slower side, possibly due to being short-staffed or still working out the opening-week kinks. There were plenty of bussers, but not many actual servers. At one point, a woman--maybe the owner?--was helping greet guests but also sat down at a nearby table to have a glass of wine with what seemed like friends. Totally understandable if she needed a break, but it did add to the sense of disjointed service. The decor is beautiful though, with floral accents and lemons adorning the walls--it really does give a little taste of Naples. Personally, I think this spot would be better suited for a date night or a girls' night out. In the meantime, I might check out their sister location, Locanda Sorrento in Campbell, until the initial buzz and crowds settle down a bit. read more

We went back today and took my parents to eat. We were greeted immediately and welcomed just as last time. We were recommended a bottle of wine and an appetizer with a delicious buffalo burratta that was SUPER fresh along with toast points and procuitto. So good We were also recommended at Filet special with porcini mushrooms, grilled eggplant, and zucchini along with a savory sauce and a few homemade fries. The steak was like butter! It melted in your mouth. (Wish this was not a special because its definitely a MUST order) My parents and I all ordered the same thing a Carbonara Ravioli- cheese ravioli, egg yolk, crispy pork cheek and pepper. Was so good and delicious. Definitely did not disappoint. We ordered a few desserts. The Lemon Sorbet which came in a Lemon Shell and a New York Cheesecake (coconut cream, hazelnut spread, & cocoa powder) We also had a VERY well made Tiramisu with Nutella spread. Felt very lucky to be some of the first diners at this beautiful restaurant! Brought us right back to Italy with all of the beautiful colors used in the interior. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly; she made the meal so enjoyable. We ordered the antipasto plate, the focaccia bread, and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was probably the top 3 we've ever had (with Italy included) so hats off to the chef on that! The antipasto plate was very generous and had delicious new cheeses, great meats, marcona almonds, and pitted castelvetrano olives (our son's favorite)! Another great Locanda restaurant! I had my company party here and we were all treated so well! The food is to die for and the service is great too. I love how they decorated the space, and during Christmas time there's even more charm than usual. We had calamari, arincini, charcuterie, pesto pasta, lobster ravioli, branzino and more. Went there today for lunch with friends which is my second time at Locanda. First time I would give it a 5 for both the food and service. Today, the lunch service was bad and it's loud, but the food was excellent. We had to ask our waiter multiple times where our food was. Finally, one friend had to leave. There were only 5 tables of customers so not very busy. Just bad service. We had the tagliere Locanda and lasagne. The tagliere was full of meats, cheeses, bruschetta and nuts. Beyond disappointed at Locanda. 1st, I tried to message the restaurant on Yelp and got no reply for a table for 9ppl for today 7/11/25. Then I contacted them via their "contact us" on their website to ask for a table for 9ppl for today 7/11/25, still no reply. Then I called on 7/2/25 and got the reservation and got the confirmation that you see below of the wanted reservation. Today is 7/11/25, our group was started to head to the restaurant but noticed on Yelp that it states it's closed today, their website states the same and I NEVER got a call or email or msg on Yelp that it's closed today. Then I called the restaurant, the same # that I used to make the reservation on 7/2/25 and the number is not in service (669) 230-6169! WOW!!! We have 9ppl and at 6pm, we scrambled to find another restaurant to accommodate us and luckily we did. We wanted to support a local business that's new. I guess they don't need it but I'm disappointed that our reservation was there and no one called to cancel or let us know they are no longer opened. Just WOW and beyond disappointed. read more

I rented out this restaurant for my sister's baby shower. I felt so taken care of throughout the entire process. We had reached out initially to inquire about prices. They were very responsive via email and let us set up a time to stop by and check out the venue. We are able to see the inside and it is BEAUTIFUL inside. We were able to talk to our coordinator, Shannon, who was amazing. She was super responsive and helpful throughout. I was confident that we would get all our questions answered and have all of our needs met throughout. They set up tables with linens and let us decorate the entire space. To top if off, the food and drinks were amazing! All of my guests would not stop raving about how much they liked the drinks and the food and that they were planning to come back to eat there. I've even had several guests reach out for the cocktail and/or salad recipes so they can try to recreate them at home or at their own events! My only less than stellar feedback is that the workers smoked cigarettes out back so the scent sometimes drifted in. Also, the food portions were almost too big, especially for a brunch/lunch event.
