Decor WOW. Food WOW. We had a variety of mezzes and entrees so I will just mention my favorites! Mezzes - Octopus, artichokes, and dolmathes...and for the mains - Lamb Chops and Seabass. Service was IMPECCABLE. We started at the bar with Bekir, and what a delight to find a bartender who genuinely has a passion for his craft! We then moved to a table and had the pleasure of being served by Jesse who was extremely knowledgeable about every part of the menu we asked about and he also had us laughing constantly. Bekir and Jesse really made our experience at Elia worthwhile and we have already made reservations with friends to come again! 4.5 stars. Deco is good, service is good, food is good, the only reason I took down points is their overall management and I'll elaborate. First off, I was able to make a last minute booking for Father's Day and we were able to snatch a 7:15pm appointment! Upon arriving, there were still plenty of seats outdoor and indoor, so I like the no-pressure no rush environment. Elia, a Greek restaurant that has multiple presence in the Bay Area, is a hot dining place in Campbell. At the corner with its opaque blue and white, it's hard to miss, and it's rather big with all the seating arrangements outside and inside. Even inside, we could choose tables or booth. The booths are cozy with lots of pillows and the table settings have shawls on the back of the chairs for the night chill. It's very inviting and accommodating for long lingering customers. The decoration mimics the cave hotels with the arched white walls, even the bathroom was painted blue, and the floor has the blue wavy lines. The music is upbeat and energetic. The menu has 2 sections, sharable plates on the top and bigger portion plates at the bottom. We chose 4 sharable and big plate to share. We had: - Complementary bread was warm and soft and the olive oil dip was delicious. - Grilled octopus (Octapodaki) which is soft and covered with healthy salad veggie and chopped olives - Roasted califlower (Kounoupidi Tou Fornou) which has big chunks of cauliflower roasted softly and covered with toasted almonds and crumbled feta, - Sea bass ceviche (Coconut Ceviche) which is fresh and sumptuous. I also love the creativity of the dish that inside a fresh coconut, chopped sea bass, halibut, prawns, and mango were stuffed with avocado slices on top and taro chips set aside. You can also scoop out the fresh coconut meat at the end, which is smooth and silky. - Beet Salad: all arugula are coated with goat cheese mousse, it's an interesting way of incorporating Greek elements. - Truffle Mushroom Risotto: can't go wrong with truffle. So all food were tasty and the presentation was nice. Menu was creative, not those boring gyro and skewer kind of Greek food. Service was friendly when you get their attention. But they were busy! Jesse took care of us along with the help of his colleagues and I like that we didn't have to wait for one single waiter but we could reach whoever is available. However, a couple things on my mind. First of all, they could leave a bottle of water on the table and that would eliminate most of the water requests and free up some of the waiter's time, coz those olives can be salty, you know. The whole situation just felt like they were a bit understaffed. At some point, some light switches were mishandled and the light on our booth went off. We waited a few minutes for the lights to get back on but the fact that no one immediately jumped on it to get it fixed left room for improvement. Overall, it was a satisfactory dinner. A popular, high-traffic corner spot in Downtown Campbell that somehow transports you to Greece without the jet lag, passport, or having to explain to your bank why you suddenly have international charges. The liquor display and decor are beautiful enough that I briefly considered redecorating my house. The service is top tier, (BEKIR is the man) the music sets the mood, and whether you sit inside or outside, there really isn't a bad seat. The drinks were refreshing, and the staff actually looked happy to be there--which in 2026 deserves a five-star review all by itself. What an awesome addition to Downtown Campbell. I came for the atmosphere and cocktails, but apparently this place turns up after hours. I've heard they party a bit too, so I may need to return for some "further research." Strictly for scientific purposes, of course. PS : try the "Fire of Olympus" buzz button flower garnish for a once in a lifetime experience. read more

Here with friends last night and got stuck with the worst table in the back by the restroom, with the sun reflecting off a mirror right into our eyes...very uncomfortable. Manager was nice about it, so not a big deal there. Service was the challenge...very rough. Took forever to get our order in. Our waiter was brusque and oddly very sweaty. There was one time where he came over with a cocktail from another table and said it was going back. I joked and said, you can leave it here and he very brusquely said..."I am going to drink it". At one point food was served to my friend and just as they were about to dig in, a staff member rushed back and yanked the plate away without a word because it was the wrong order... they told us that when they came back with basically one less chicken skewer on the plate. Overall experience was excellent, ambience reminded me of my time in Greece and Turkey, but what stood out most was our the world-class service from Furkan, our server. Really appreciated his check-ins with us and had warm conversations with us, which really elevated our experience. We were greeted with a complimentary olive tapenade and warm bread rolls. For our appetizer, we ordered a delicious grilled octopus argula salad and for our main course, we went with the chicken souvlaki and creamy mushroom risotto. No notes for the food! I really wanted to love Elia because the restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere has a great vibe, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, the execution fell short. We were seated at 6:30 PM and were not asked for our food order until around 7:10 PM. During that time, a table seated after us had already received their appetizers and entrees before our order was even taken. While our server was pleasant and courteous, the service felt disorganized and not particularly attentive. As for the food, it was average overall, especially considering the price point. The octopus was overcooked, and the lobster in both the paella and the bucatini pasta was also overcooked, which was disappointing. The cauliflower lacked flavor and was pretty bland. The cocktails looked great but tasted watered down, with more juice than alcohol. The standout dish at our table was the lamb shank. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was easily the best item we ordered. Overall, Elia has a beautiful setting and a friendly staff, but it feels like they're still trying to find their rhythm when it comes to service and execution. This place replaced Opa in downtown Campbell and has a huge front patio seating, and beautiful interior with arches, blue wall accents, (faux) bougainvilleas and plants all over. Very dreamy interior. The menu is also fairly intriguing and there were many items we wanted to try. For starters we had the Pikilia a sampler plate of Tzatziki, roasted bell pepper dip, and a chunky eggplant dip. (I gave up on spelling the last two dips by their official name..) We loved all three dips- I am an eggplant lover and loved the chunky eggplant one, and mixed with the tzatziki was like a chef's kiss. Comes with pita along with thing slivers of cucumber and carrots to dip. Also ordered the Beet Salad- an arugula beet salad is generally pretty standard, but I liked the twist of these mini sandwiches of a purple beet and yellow beet slices with goat cheese mousse between them. Fun! From the appetizers we also had the Octopus which was a beautifully plated and juicy arm. For our entrees we had the chicken kebab which comes with two juicy and large kebab sticks, a side salad, and a cous cous/raisin side, so it was a pretty hearty and flavorful dish. This one is located in Downtown Campbell, ironically at the old, shuttered Opa! which occupied this spot for many, many years (RIP). Elia promises authentic Greek flavors using hand-curated, seasonal items and a strong bar program in a casual, but elegant environment that's good for a casual lunch or a fancy date night dinner. We love booths :) * Beers on tap, as well as a full bar. I ordered the El Greko and thought it was fantastic! It was muy fuerte, but not so much so that I'd consider it boozy. The perfect mix between flavor and alcohol. * Moussaka was good, but I felt like it needed just a rich more seasoning to put it over the top from good to great. * Carissa loved her Horataki (Greek) Salad w/ Salmon add-on, as all the ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. * Roasted Cauliflower app (aka Kounoupidu Tou Fornou) had good flavor, but we wish they had roasted the cauliflower just a bit more as it was still very crunchy. Also needed a bit of salt, but otherwise it was yummy. The Meh: * Service was good to start, as we were all yucking it up and having a good time with our waitress, but by the end she was ghosting us and didn't seem quite as convivial towards us. Elia is a small chain Greek restaurant that just opened in downtown Campbell. The place took over from Ola and is a big upgrade. It's nicely decorated and clean. The service is great, friendly and efficient. I think our waiter was the front of house manager. We got the spanakotiropita which is basically spanakopita with cheese and is very difficult to spell and pronounce. Anyway it was served quickly and hot. It has really good flavor but the two pieces seem quite small for $15. The seafood paella was just ok. There was a decent amount of scallops and ground chicken. The salmon was minimal but there was a decent chunk of lobster. It has a fishy smell but didn't taste bad. The seasoning was a bit overpowering. Honestly though, teleferic has better paella. We tried to provide feedback but the waiter didn't seem interested. I'll probably go back but probably order different items. read more

Downtown Campbell is a nice area and this place fits right in. Beautiful restaurant with outside seating and a classy bar. The management is very attentive and overall great venue. Six of us came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was good to see how busy it was. Our waiter was slow getting to our orders and delivering our drinks. Also, when our food was ready, they delivered all of our entrees and appetizers and different times. I had to wait about five minutes before everyone had their entrees. The food was very good. I had the slow roasted lamb and it was delicious. We all enjoyed our entrees but the slowness, timing and absenteeism of the service was the real issue. It's a really nice place to eat but they need improving on the wait staff to be worth the price of the restaurant. read more

This restaurant opened only a few days ago and we were excited to try this location. Plenty of free public parking in downtown Campbell. This place has an outdoor area and a beautiful indoor area. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. They had both the breakfast and lunch menu when we went. There is free bread upon arrival with dip, the bread was warm and the dip tasted great. We ordered the calamari and the eggplant appetizers, both tasted okay. The calamari was not as crispy as we would have liked while the eggplant appetizer tasted good, I felt like it could have used a bit more salt. Now onto the main course. We had the seafood paella and seafood bucatini. These took a while to come out, which is totally understandable, the dishes looked and tasted delicious! The seafood was fresh and plenty. We even had enough to take home. We also ordered the truffle mushroom soup which was so good! I would order that again for next time. Customer service was excellent and they kept refilling our waters without having to ask and kept checking on us. We wanted to walk around downtown after and we were worried about our seafood left overs as it was a warm day, the staff were more than happy to pack it up for us with ice so it stays nice and cool. Amazing addition to downtown Campbell! Took over the old opa restaurant and made it upscale. Had the lunch chicken schwarma and it was so so good that I'm ready to go back a week later to get it again. They use chicken thighs and it was super moist and juicy. They have freshly hot buns with an olive oil dip and offered me more since I devoured it before my food came out but I didn't want to spoil my appetite. You know a restaurant is going to be really good if they can get their bread right. The service from the host to waitress was five stars! Super friendly all around. If you're concerned about getting sunburnt or worried about an occasional leaf on your table, you may want to opt for inside seating, as there are no sun umbrellas, at least not at the moment. Monica, our server, was awesome. She was very friendly and paced out our order. When the last dish took a little longer, she apologized and used the opportunity to get us fresh plates. She handled it like a pro. We didn't get to try any of their cocktails, but they looked really good. For food, we got: -Free bread(5/5): A restaurant that doesn't charge for bread gets an automatic extra star. Their rolls were freshly baked and still warm. The complimentary olive tapenade was balanced and not too salty. Love! -Spanakotiropita (5/5): Did you know that when a spanakopita includes cheese, it becomes a spanakotiropita? I didn't either until today. You get two generously filled "spinach pies" encased in airy dough that almost evaporates as soon as it hits your tongue. The feta-spinach combo is full of flavor. It's the best version of this famous Greek dish that I've ever had and an absolute must-order app. -Coconut ceviche (5/5): I love that they serve the ceviche in a freshly halved coconut. You get a little martini glass of the fruit's coconut water and can even eat the inner flesh. As for the ceviche, there was a ton of fresh fish, which you could actually taste thanks to the very mild acidity. I didn't see any of the advertised prawns on the menu, but they weren't missed. The avocado, pickled red onions, and mango chunks added a ton of flavor. Their home-made (?) taro chips were fresh and crispy--another outstanding dish. -Lamb and beef sliders (4.5): These bad boys took quite a while to come out, but didn't disappoint. You could taste both lamb and beef without one overpowering the other. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Because the bun was quite thick and there wasn't enough sauce, it was a little dry. But after ditching the bread, we could focus on the protein, which was fabulous. Overall, an awesome first experience. We started with the flaming cheese Saganaki, then had Chicken Souvaki, Bucatini (2 of us) and the Paella. Everything was great. Food was overpriced. The beet root salad was blend with not much taste. The seafood paella was overcooked and not a traditional style you are accustomed to and over spiced. The only good dish was spanakopita. Again, it's too expensive. We left nearly $90 for a lunch for 2 with sharing salad and paella and no drinks other than sparkling water. My daughter and I dined in on Tuesday afternoon at Elia and it was such a great experience, brand new beautiful restaurant, replacement of opa. The food was good but even better presentation. We've been to Elia a few times since they opened not too long ago and keep finding reasons to come back. The food has been consistently excellent. We've tried a mix of small plates and entrees, and everything has felt fresh and perfect for sharing. You can tell there's real attention to quality and presentation. One of the highlights of our visits has been Jovana. She has a way of making you feel like a regular even when the restaurant is busy. She remembered us from a previous visit, checked in at all the right times, and made great recommendations. That kind of service is hard to find and makes a big difference. Esteban also deserves a shoutout. The cocktails are fantastic and one of the reasons we'll stop in even when we're not planning on having a full meal. Friday nights have a fun energy with live music and a DJ, and it's been great seeing downtown Campbell get a spot that feels both lively and welcoming. Looking forward to many more visits. read more

Our waiter was Jesse and he was absolutely fantastic he answered all of our questions we had and recommended excellent cocktails to go with. We tried a variety of things and enjoyed all of them (pikilia, octopus, artichokes, and riblets for apps, Lamb Chops and Seabass for entrees, and then we attempted to order Baklava for dessert but were convinced to try the Poached Pear per Jesses recommendation and WOW! A very new restaurant with vibrant decor. There were larger booths for bigger parties and it had decorative pillows. Service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. They started us off with small warm bread rolls with an olive tapenade dip. After that, we decided to only get appetizers. We ordered Pikilia (combo with tzatziki cucumber yoghurt, roasted red bell pepper purée, and roasted eggplant dips). All three were tasty. The flaming cheese, Saganaki, was dramatic and delicious. Make sure that gets eaten as soon as because it hardens once cooled. I loved the burrata dish because I love tarragon. The tarragon oil combined with fig jam was a perfect combination for the orange and grapefruit segments. The Monterey calamari was very tender and perfectly seasoned. For drinks, I got a cocktail with watermelon and cucumber. Can't remember the name or the spirit that was used, but it was refreshing and not too sweet. Overall it surpassed our expectations as far as appetizers go. We will definitely come back to try out the main meals. read more

Growing up Greek, I am often pretty critical of Greek restaurants, but this one didn't disappoint. We went for lunch, sharing a few appetizers and meals. Octopus appetizer. Don't say often but it was the perfect appetizer. Octopus cooked perfectly, tender with the right char. The salad that came with it was the exact right mix of fresh and salty. Great start! Zucchini cakes were excellent. Only feedback, for price thought there might be 3 instead of 2. Moussaka - Very good. I tend to like it to be eggplant heavy, but this was more balanced but still quite good due to the thin slicing. Flavor was on point. Keftedes - A lamb forward flavor, which was a good thing as it wasn't gamey at all. Again, seasoning on point and accompaniments, just right. Had a couple cocktails, both very good and well balanced. Service was friendly and attentive. Was a light, lunch crowd, so there was time to chat, and they took the time to do it. This place is a huge step up from Opa, which it replaced, and prices are very similar. Definitely not a cheap lunch, but also not terrible for the area. This place will 100% be part of our rotation going forward. Really looking forward to trying their weekend brunch. read more
