We called this afternoon looking to re-key 4 deadbolt locks. They wanted to come over straight away so we said ok, why not. We asked for a quote on the phone and they said: the guy will give you a quote when he gets there. The guy arrives and my husband asks for a quote again and the guy says later and starts work. A very long 2-1/2 hours later the guy finishes the job and hands us a bill for $1700. To re-key 4 deadbolts. We refuse to pay that amount and ask to see his license. My home was broken into on Dec 23. On the 24th I called these guys. The burglars stole my wife's purse which had her keys in it. The first time they sent the guy, the deadbolt didn't work. Second time he came back, said it was fixed, it still wasn't. When he left I went to close the door, the knob came off. On Christmas he came back to attempt to fix, it's still not working. Do not hire these guys they don't quote you fairly and are not honest. I called them about an issue on my front door not locking. They were very responsive and said can come in shortly even though I asked for an appointment the next day. So 1 star for coming fast. They quoted me $29 for service call which I accepted. Then his worker shows up and works on the door for 20 minutes. Only drills the opening on the second door where the lock goes in and enlarges it. Then asks me to use the bathroom which I refuse due to covid. Then he says the door is done and it locks now and I owe him $159! I ask him what did he do for $159 since he never gave me an estimate on how much it will cost and he says I have to pay him and he needs to leave to use the bathroom. He says its $59 for service call and $100 for labor! When I tell him about $29 quote on the phone, he drops it to $129. I take my checkbook out and he tells me he accepts cash or venmo only. When I complain about no estimate on what the cost is going to be for 15-20 mins of work, he reduces it to $100 even. I venmo him. He leaves. Then I noticed my door is no longer aligned even though it locks after he left. So I call the owner back to let him know to come back and fix my door alignment, considering I paid $100 for a 20 min of work. He says he will call me back after he speaks to his worker. He never calls me back. I tried calling him three times the next day and he never answered my call, either. These people are not honest. Avoid them and hire someone else. read more
