I found Locktopia here on Yelp. We had an A M A Z I N G experience! I was able to get on the website and book with ease. Selected the Gateway room and YES we escaped!! You must go see for yourself because I won't tell. The customer service was professional, warm, and informative. Shoutout to Alexis she's so helpful and funny! I love the concept of the locks. Go and escape so that you can add to the growing collection! It's in the name, I love the word play. Will definitely return!

The room we chose was were pretty basic, kind of cheaply done, and not really immersive. Some of the clues/props weren't working which affected our ability to solve the puzzles timely. Some puzzles were finicky and we used clues only to be told that we had it right but needed to do it again. It just seemed finicky and haphazard. We escaped, but it felt arbitrary rather than well executed.

This was a great escape room! We really enjoyed Endurance - it was a difficult room but manageable with 3 people and lots of clues. The rating of 8/10 online is a fair representation of the difficulty. MJ was very patient with our requests for help! Some of the lock games were a dash finicky, but she helped guide us through the nuances.

Had a great time! I've tried several different escape rooms and this was the first one that I escaped!! Fatima was excellent! Very helpful and easy going. Sometimes I feel stupid when hosts give me hints. But I felt very comfortable with her. I enjoyed the game and will be back for more. Thanks locktopia! read more

We went to Locktopia as a team building event! Most of us had never been to an escape room before. So we were all pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was. The "game masters" (Fatima, MJ, and Hannah) were very professional and friendly. The puzzles and tasks in the escape room were engaging and challenging. This was such a fun experience! I was playing fun auntie for the day, and I brought my niece and nephews to locktopia because they never did an escape room. Fatima did a great job making us feel welcome and orienting us to the room. Her voice was also very calming and kept the young ones at ease when they were scared/clueless. We did the gateway and each puzzle was challenging in its own way even though this was listed as their easiest room. I'd come back to try their other rooms! Such a fun activity for both kids and adults! read more

We did the Antidote room, and it was a blast! Everything worked, and the pacing was excellent. We liked the premise (the video was downright sweet!) and the decor, and the puzzles made sense with the theme. came here as a group of 8 with mix of adults and kids. there were four room options, but with our inexperienced group, that also had children, we opted for the Gateway room and all had a lot of fun! the puzzles were challenging, but we still ended up beating the clock. i loved that everyone in our group was able to participate and helped in finding solutions. there were a couple puzzles that had some technical difficulties, but our guide, aribella, was watching closely and helped when needed, which didn't require burning a clue. she was wonderful. really cool that we got to sign a lock for "winning" - overall, we had an absolute blast and highly recommend for families with kids or beginners at escape rooms read more

This was so much fun. I've done escape rooms before but today we won on both of the rooms we did. This one was a little different because after three clues ‍, in order to receive more you have to do whatever dance they want you to do. So they had me doing the Macarena, YMCA and Chicken dance lol. Alyssa was a great host for the room and I really enjoyed myself. Will definitely be back once there new room is up and running. The Tesla room is hard but we did it! read more

WIth the beautiful art on the wall this place could be the perfect backdrop for a gala. They charge 3,000 for 3 hours and that includes the room and the sculpture garden. I'm not sure who started putting shards of wood under our children when they play, but I'm over it. We came here on one of the handful of nice weather days weekend down here in Houston. I'm not sure how hot the playground would be during the summer, because a lot of the material here is metal, but I would definitely check it out again!

My niece had a great time. The park is well spaced out and plenty of things for kids to do. The only draw back is not at fault of the park,it is in fault of the parents of the children at the park. I had to tell one little boy twice it to throw a big stick over the slide. All in all this is a cute park tucked inside of Bellaire.

We had my son's 8th bday party here, though a bit of a drive for us and all the attendees... IT WAS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE!! Weeks prior, I visited the establishment to check it out and make sure it was suitable for 6-7 yr olds, as many of the escape rooms around our area had to be atleast 8+ up. Thomas answered all my questions and even showed me around. My son really wanted to have an escape room party and Locktopia DELIVERED! Once date was secured, we chose the party package that Included 2 1-hr escape rooms & access to their party room. Bianca finalized my booking over the phone and made sure all my questions were answered! (I ask a lot of questions! Heh) On the day of party, they had ample room for me to set up and place was clean and disinfected for us, even let me set up early since room was available -- this was super helpful! Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming! Bianca & Ruby were our game masters for Spellcaster and Gateway -- both were a HIT with the kids and all had a fantastic time, Bianca and Ruby did a incredible job with hints for the kids and all that played! We brought our own food/drinks and they supplied us with plates napkins and waters, everything was stocked and easy accessible within the party room. The whole experience was smooth and stress-free. This is going to be a 2-part review. We did 2 rooms on the same day. First Time Escapers, First Time Locktopia-ers! Ruby made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we came in. We lucked out getting her to be our very first GameMaster. She really helped to make our experience (and loss) bearable. We'd never done an escape room before, but decided to try the hardest room: Antidote. Regardless of the outcome, we had a great time and decided to book for later that night, too. Ruby was very attentive to us and really made our day! The second room of the day, we met Fatima. How is it that this little small business found such great employees? This time we tried The Gateway and we were successful! We had such a great time and I really appreciated how Fatima was able to get us even more hyped up for the room in addition to calming our nerves so we could successfully complete it. Having her as our second GameMaster just helped increase our odds of coming back to Locktopia. We are making plans and arrangements with some friends to come back soon. Thank you for having such great GameMasters to help make our Escape Room experiences EPIC! read more

We finished Spellcaster last night, our second trip after having had a great experience previously attempting Gateway. It was four of us, including 12 and 11 year old kids. Our Gamemaster Hannah was great and did an outstanding job guiding us and especially guiding the kids when needed. The rooms were fun and challenging. The puzzles were generally intuitive, although a couple felt a little too abstract--but Hannah to the rescue. All in all, a completely positive experience. We look forward to trying the other rooms we have yet to complete and seeing the one that is now under construction. In writing this I realize I never sent a review when we did Gateway. The gamemaster that night was also really good and helpful. She was there last night; I can't remember her name but wanted to mention her in this review in the hope that she gets credit for the previous excellent experience. When we entered there was a birthday party in progress with what looked like middle school aged kids. I think this would be a good place for a party and the rooms we have attempted are suitable for kids around that age. read more

My family (wife and 15 and 12-year old sons) had always wanted to try an escape room. We chose to finally do one for my younger son's birthday on a Saturday afternoon at Locktopia. Our gamemaster, Ted, was super friendly and welcoming, and did a great job explaining how everything worked. I was amazed at the production quality of the room(s). The design and attention to detail way exceeded my expectations. Our scenario took place in the Arctic and it really felt like you were there (with strong A/C and everything!). We chose the second hardest room and it was indeed tricky. But Ted did a nice job as the gamemaster from the God microphone giving us prompts when we really got stuck. We ended up finishing the room with literally a minute and a half left on the clock. It was exciting! And the sense of accomplishment is very real. We plan to try all of their rooms at some point. I highly recommend Locktopia for a birthday party! Our newly-minted 9 year old and her friends had a great time solving the puzzles! They were able to escape the room (with a few hints) and I was given an opportunity to decorate while they were in the room. The Game Master continually kept an eye on their progress and helped make sure that the kids were doing well. I loved the fact that there was nothing too "creepy" or "scary". We brought in our own food, cake, and decorations, but the facility does have a deluxe option where food and cookie cake is included. A mini-fridge is stocked with water. A second empty mini-fridge is there if you'd like to bring some other drink options or to store your cake. It is well situated in a shopping center with plenty of parking and "things to do" for parents who choose not to stay. We plan on going back, but just for a family outing next time. read more

Locktopia provided my friend group and I's Saturday night entertainment. This was made possible by how accommodating their employees were. First, we didn't schedule a reservation ahead of time, and they still let us book a time to immediately start the escape room. When they led us to the room and we realized some of our friends had already completed that exact room, they let us switch to another. Once we started, our overseer, Arabella, was informative and very patient. When one of the gadgets stopped working because we overrode it, she quickly came in to fix it so we could go on. The room's complicated tasks provided the perfect amount of challenge for us while still being fun, and we ended up successfully escaping. It was a great experience, and I appreciate the kindness and patience of the employees at Locktopia. read more

My fiancé and I were looking for an escape room to do last minute and stumbled upon Locktopia. For the past year, we've been traveling across the country and doing an escape room in each state. We've had a lot of experience with escape rooms going into this one so we felt pretty confident. We chose the Gateway room. Y'all!! This room almost defeated us but we managed to escape with literally only 1 second left! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this room! They had puzzles that we've never seen before and our game master, Fatima, was absolutely amazing! She had us dancing to the Macarena inside the room...and we don't dance! At the end, she told us about the other rooms they had and we will definitely swing by again to check them out before we leave Texas! read more

My family and I have been to several escape rooms around the Houston area, and decided to try out Locktopia for the first time. The construction quality of the room and challenges were good, and everything is supposedly hand-made by the owners. We did The Antidote, supposedly the most difficult room, and the puzzles were appropriately challenging. Bianca did a great job of introducing everything, providing our included hints, and explaining anything we had questions on after we completed the room. Obviously can't give away too much about the rooms, but we're looking forward to going back and trying the Endurance room as well. Nice option for escape rooms in the Houston area with super convenient access and parking. read more

Four young teens, two moms and one grandma had a crazy fun one hour escapade in "The Antidote" room at Locktopia this weekend. The room was packed with clever puzzles to solve, and a race to find an antidote to send across time. The facility was clean, and the attendant Vee was excellent at providing a few hints when we needed them to make progress in our puzzle solving. The puzzles and the clues were very cleverly constructed. There is no problem with parking as the facility is in a strip center. I would highly recommend LockTopia for an hour of fun suitable for older kids and adults of all ages. I look forward to trying out one of their other rooms soon!!! read more

This place was SUCH a pleasant surprise!! Took a mixed group of family and friends for a first escape room experience and it didn't disappoint in any way. The instructions were clear (but gave nothing away), we were hand sanitized and on our merry way. Bianca, out of Xperia car manager, was perfect the two times we needed a hint. Not too much info, but the right amount of encouragement to keep trying what we were doing, but slightly differently. So fun!! Great team building and a good use of time. We'll be back for more. P.S. We walked in late fri night and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We chose the endurance room, which was recommended by them. 8/10 difficulty. Very immersive, unique, very interesting puzzles. The four of us escaped with 4 seconds to spare! It was a pretty difficult room, had to really think outside the box. We definitely couldn't have escaped without our GM Ayah who was extremely helpful, sweet and made it a lot of fun. Loved that it was a private experience. Would definitely recommend this place to others and looking forward to trying some more rooms. read more

We had an absolute blast at Locktopia! Westin was an amazing host and made the experience so much fun for me and my daughter. One of the highlights was running out of hints and having to do the chicken dance to earn more - such a creative and hilarious twist! We've done numerous escape rooms in Houston, and Locktopia truly stands out. The puzzles were engaging, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We're already looking forward to coming back and completing all the rooms here. Highly recommend for a fun family activity or a great time with friends! read more

My first time playing at an escape room! My girlfriend and I wanted to try it on a whim and made a reservation at the beginning of the day, so all they had left was the hardest puzzle, Antidote. No matter though, our Game Master, Arabella, was so nice and courteous to us, and gave us great hints for how to move through the puzzle. The puzzle itself was challenging but very fair, with funny surprises and cool sound effects. We made it out with 1 minute to spare too. We'll definitely be back to take on another (easier) puzzle! read more

This is our 2nd time going to LOCKTOPIA, This time even more fun than the first. AND the first time was fun! Today was Antidote, one of the more difficult rooms they have. Bianca made the journey fun and exciting! This room we really had to use our creative thinking to accomplish all the challenges! We had to ask Bianca for a few extra clues. She provided them only by us telling her jokes and doing dances! That calmed us down and got us back on track. We will definitely come back for the other rooms! read more

We are seasoned puzzle-room-ers and brought some newbies with us for a birthday. The Antidote room was a blast, great atmosphere and puzzles, a good mix of making progress and running around thinking/working. Alyssa was a joy, greeted us with a smile and explained the room for newbies while honoring our game style and hint requests. They have three "free" hints (we needed 2) but offered more if needed so we never felt worried about not getting out or not seeing all the puzzles. read more

Highly Recommend!!! Had so much fun at Locktopia. We did the spellcaster room and wow that was such a cool room and very Strategic to solve the problem! I love that about rooms! We also had a fantastic host, Vy who was bubbly, cool, and laid back! She captured so many great pics for us! Thank you Vy! I came here with 5 year old twins I nanny and one was scared of our scheduled room. One of the employees quickly came to make sure everything was okay once we left the room to comfort him. I asked if there was another room available and she went to go confirm. I believe Hannah is the manager ? But Hannah was our host, and she was awesome. She was theatrical for the kids and great at laying out the rule and makes it more than easy to understand. Give it a shot guys ! read more

I attended Locktopia with a group of seven friends on Jan 5th 2022. We arrived at 6:15 and were escorted to their newest room "Gateway Houston Escape Room" It was my first time I attended an escape room event. It was a great evening of friends bonding, working together to solve the puzzles and share a few laughs. This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I don't get to go out on many date nights, especially since this whole pandemic. So we brought our kids along for the ride. They loved it and played right along and our 7 yr old actually figured out a few clues! We did the spell caster room. Also, Zach was our game master and he is incredibly nice and patient!
