Carne Asada... sort of! Carne Asada Plate Carne Asada Plate

Decent Spot, but Some Misses Stopped into Local Patron in Scottsdale hoping for a solid meal, but the experience ended up being just okay. The service was friendly enough, though it took quite a while before anyone came by the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Way too loud in this place to think, or have a conversation... ok, I'm old![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the carne asada (which was made with ribeye) but it came out overcooked, not much flavor and pretty tough. Honestly, it didn't feel like the right cut of meat for something meant to resemble Carne Asada. The flavors just weren't there. I started with a margarita, but it had almost no taste, so I switched over to a Modelo, which was a much better choice. Overall, it wasn't a terrible visit--but with so many great options in Scottsdale, I was hoping for more. --.

In town for our grandsons Cactus Cup Hockey Tournament and we weee between games and needed to grab a bite and catch the NFL games. A short walk from our hotel we wanted to try Arizona style Mexican food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere with indoor dining and patio dining, plenty of TVs showing the early game and great weather today so we dined Al fresco on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great, friendly and ready to help with questions and suggestions. We started with the skillet chorizo fundido with house made chips, I have to say the chips were very good. Light and tasty, fundido was very good. Our entrees came and followed up with more deliciousness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place had a nice vibe with a DJ playing music during the commercials so we got music and football to accompany our margaritas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good sized menu offering a variety of appetizers, tacos, burritos and salads. Definitely would come back when we visit Scottsdale Old Town. In my native tongue, molto bene Loco Patron!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in 85% of the tables were dirty, they may have just had a rush but all the tables as you walked in were full of dirty plates, chips and cups![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat towards the middle closer to the bar, the young lady came and gave us chips and salsa. The salsa is pretty good here! The chips are a little salty, but nothing to bad. Our waitress came she was super sweet and friendly, we ordered the drunken tacos with rice and Mexican coleslaw. We also got The chips with guac the chips and guac are amazing! The guac is super fresh. The tacos were OK. They fell apart before you even were able to take a bite of them then dipping them in the juice was even harder!! I've had a lot of birria tacos before and the tortillas don't fall apart like that normally! I was a little disappointed in the tacos! The OLE margarita in a can was pretty good!! Not bad for a can!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As we were walking out my husband almost slipped in a knife that was on the floor from the dirty table area when you first walk in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all the guac was my favorite!! I'm not sure if I would go back unfortunately. ( I did not take pictures of the front area where the tables were messy) I just took pictures of where we were sitting.

Food is always pretty good. I love their pork belly tacos and drunken tacos. Their queso (I get a side of habanero salsa to add in) is amazing too. Cadillac Marg is bomb too. Staff is friendly and Tim and Skillet always have great service. On point with the drinks and orders. Overall I do like this place a lot and come often. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is Mexican cantina with a decent patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't expect fancy but it's nice enough for a taco restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Have you ever been to a place that serves Mexican food yet treats the Hispanic customers less than as soon as they walk in the back door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Come on down to this hole of racism on the boulevard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not only did we wait 15 minutes but the eye stare from the local whites is hilariously less than normal. The dog got water before we did. Also this white mayo taco can suck it!!!

The food was so good. we ordered the happy hour og nachos and I loved the beans that came in the nachos: so flavorful! The chips were crisp abs and there was just the right amount of sour cream and guacamole. For our entrees we both ordered the baja burritos his was with blackened shrimp and a salad and mine was with grilled chicken and smothered in their housemade queso sauce. 10/10 The queso sauce had a little heat to it but that's fine with me because I like spicy food. Brittany was our server and she was kind and efficient. The ambiance was typical for a Mexican cantina.

Outside heated patio does not disappoint!

This was a great spot in a bustling area during playoff football. It's got a great outdoor seating area that's heated and plenty of tvs. Service was really good considering the amount of people. We had drinks in hand within minutes and appetizers on the table shortly thereafter. We stuck with small plates for most of the evening, wings were great (try the ones with honey on them), as was the queso. Very good spot and very vibrant, stop by for a good tequila selection and notable cocktail menu.

    Best wings!!

If you're looking for a fun, lively spot in Scottsdale with great vibes, Local Patron on Scottsdale Road is a must-visit. Their outdoor seating area is a standout--it's spacious, equipped with TVs, and opens up to the street, making it perfect for soaking in the Arizona sun and people-watching. The servers are always sweet and friendly but it does get busy so be prepared to wait a bit at peak times. When it comes to the food, their salt and pepper wings are hands-down the best! I always order mine extra crispy, and they never disappoint. If wings aren't your thing, they've got a variety of flavors and an impressive selection of tacos and other dishes to choose from. The laid-back atmosphere and delicious menu make it an ideal spot to kick back, enjoy great food, watch games, and have a good time with friends.

Came here with a few coworkers for lunch and it was pretty good. It was pretty empty that day, so not sure if we beat the rush or missed the rush. Their system was down too so this post is definitely a one off. Our server was extremely nice and apologetic for the delay, plus we weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind. We all travelled into Scottsdale for a team offsite so we didn't mind the extra time to chat and catch up! I'm such a sucker for chips and salsa and these were so addicting! The salsa was perfectly blended, and the chips were fresh, thin, crunchy, and slightly salted to perfection. I got the fish tacos and it was so good! I was actually so full after! Will definitely come here again if we have a team offsite in Scottsdale!

Mahi Mahi Tacos with slaw and beans

We had friends in town and they wanted to experience some bars and restaurants in Old Town so they picked Loco Patron. We stopped in on a Saturday night around 5pm and were told to sit anywhere that had already been bussed. We waited a few minutes and one of the servers was kind enough to quickly clean off a booth for us. The bar was decorated for the holidays days which was nice. There were people of all ages, even families which was also nice. It is a sports bar so they had the tv's tuned into the various games. There was a DJ playing but the music was a a decent level so we could still have a nice conversation. Our server, Dominique, was very nice. For drinks we ordered the skinny Rosa margaritas which everyone liked. The food came out quickly which was great, however, the dinner came out at the same time as the appetizers which was unfortunate. The food server was apologetic for bringing everything at the same time. For appetizers, we ordered wings and cheese curds. The wings were a little soggy so they definitely could have been more crispy but the flavor was good. The cheese curds were good while they were hot. For dinner, we ordered Mahi Mahi tacos that came with a side of spicy slaw. Both were very good. Our friends ordered the steak fajitas, a protein bowl and an order of nachos which they said was fine. I would recommend the Mahi Mahi tacos. Loco Patron is right on Scottsdale Rd so if you sit in the booths or table along the road, you may smell gas fumes like we did. The smell did get to us so we couldn't stick around for an extra cocktail. I would recommend sitting closer to inside or inside the restaurant. Loco Patron has a lot of TV's so it is a good place to catch a game, grab a drink and a bite to eat. It's right on Scottsdale Rd so great for people watching as well.

Char-Grilled Chicken Tenders - on point and the arbol sauce is a fantastic pairing!

We love this place. Has a good vibe and staff is super friendly and attentive. Plenty of tvs inside and out and really feels like that local home bar. Packers games on Saturday. We usually stop by almost everyday when we are in town. Food is solid all around. Reasonably priced and very good. Taco Tuesdays is fantastic and packer game specials too. Love you guys!

Not my first time to this location and surely won't be my last. As we walked in and sat down we were greeted almost instantly. Drinks were amazing as always and the carne asada waffle fries were the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant wasn't very busy as they had just opened so it wasn't too loud in there and we were able to have a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were clean and the colorful walls are always fun to look at[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

TV's everywhere to take in your favorite team.

Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink. While I am being a little critical, Pour Decisions has its purpose. If you're looking for a spot to hang out in a big group, Pour Decisions is solid given how large of a space it is.
