    Delicious lunch area.

Generous serving sizes at this casual restaurant, which is part of the Churchill. It has a serve yourself menu kiosk. Your number is called when your order is ready. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and received a very generous portion that was flavorful and tender. My daughter had the chicken Katsu and she enjoyed it very much. They give plenty of dipping sauce. The sides included rice and macaroni salad for both dishes. Really really good!

My friend and I decided to try some Hawaiian food :D ! We actually found this place in this cute little nook that was similar to a market. There were other food stands we wanted to try too. Food came out quite fast and it was really good! It's a little pricey but for the amount you get, and considering it's in downtime, it's not too bad. We were surprised that the meal came with two chickens! Only dislike was the Mac salad. We both assumed it would be Mac & cheese but it was not. We also thought there would be more rice. Other than that, not bad at all! A great meal that felt homey. Perfect amount for leftovers too. Awesome service!

I tried Loco Grindz Hawaiian BBQ in Phoenix, and overall it was a great experience! The Garlic Chicken was hands down my favorite, super flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous, so while the food is on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it for the amount and quality you get. Vibe was great. A lot of available seating. The customer service was a little off the day I visited. Still, the food more than made up for it, and I'll definitely be back to try more off the menu.

The lady at register was very nice and patient with my questions. The food.... .... Cannot wait to go back and get a bigger plate haha! (The drink in the picture was from one of the bars there)

Loco Style Grindz BBQ, Phoenix AZ Step aside, Phoenix BBQ joints--there's a new grill master in town, and it's serving up flavors that'll have you questioning your loyalty to your usual spot. Enter Loco Style Grindz, where the only thing crazier than their name is the sheer size of their meat platters. I mean, seriously--this plate was stacked like a Hawaiian luau on steroids. From juicy, smoky pulled pork to the crispy, charred ribs dripping with a creamy, tangy sauce that seems to be sprinkled with magic (or just a lot of mayo), it was a savory assault on the senses. You get a mound of rice to balance things out, because carbs and BBQ go together like SPF and Phoenix sunburn. The meat was tender enough to be cut with a plastic fork, and the portion sizes? Let's just say, if you leave hungry, you did it wrong. Each bite was an explosion of flavor--smoke, spice, and that addicting drizzle of sauce. Is it BBQ? Is it an island feast? It's a little loco, but in the best possible way. If you're on a low-carb diet, don't come here unless you're prepared to make some exceptions. But if you're all about big, bold flavors and aren't afraid to get a little messy, this place will satisfy every carnivorous craving you didn't even know you had. Pro Tip: Wear stretchy pants and maybe bring a napkin or twelve.

Live action grilling. The BBQ smell draws you in from the parking lot.

Absolutely delicious. Hawaiian BBQ. Originally walked in the area for Acai bowl then got lured in by the incredible BBQ smell and live action smoke. lol. No regrets. Teriyaki ribeye steak, kalua pork, Kalbi was right on the money. Garlic chicken was a bit dry but felt like I was eating. Must try for phoenix

    Chicken Katsu

I ordered the kalbi plate, which comes with two sides of rice and a mac salad. The kalbi was tender with a nice smoky, sweet flavor. The mac salad leaned more savory and tangy instead of sweet, which I still enjoyed. I also tried the chicken katsu, and the panko crust was crunchy and well-seasoned. Ordering through the window screen was easy, and the staff was really nice. The portions were solid overall. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the food makes it worth considering for a return visit.

Easily my favorite Hawaiian bbq spot in Phoenix. Food always tastes super fresh and the fact that they always sell out is a testament to their following and the quality of the food. I love the chicken teriyaki and get it almost every time. It comes with amazing pasta salad and what I assume is coconut rice. It's now at the Churchill downtown so there's other spots you can grab a drink too. Service is always super friendly.

Garlic chicken and teriyaki prime steak thanks Kyle @happydazetattooaz for the recommendation!

Hella bomb! Service was lightning fast and food was hot and amazing and plentiful! The atmosphere is super cool with misters all around to beat the heat

It's hard to find good Hawaiian food on the mainland (especially Arizona) but this place does it really well! So happy it's got a permanent home in the Churchill because it's a great area to just chill, have a beer and have some bomb food. We got the garlic chicken and the korean style galbi which was so delicious. The chicken was super crispy and tossed in sauce with lots of additional chopped garlic. I'm definitely a garlic girl, so I really enjoyed the different garlic flavors. It can be overwhelming for those that aren't the biggest garlic fans but it was perfect for me. The galbi, however, kind of fell short. It was pretty charred and had a strong burnt flavor. The marinade was good, but it was hard to detect because of the burnt taste. The POG juice was yummy as always, the passion fruit, orange, and guava juice combination just can't be beat!

Garlic Chicken with rice and Mac, there's a bed a rice under the chicken soaking up all the sauce. POG drink

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 I'm currently visiting Phoenix and I'm staying in Roosevelt row area. I've been craving Hawaiian food and luckily Loco Style Grindz was just a few blocks away. It's located in an outdoor eatery called the Churchill. There's a lot of shade a ton of seating. The employees were kind and helpful while ordering. I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon, asked what their favorite dish would be. In response it was between the Garlic chicken and the Teriyaki steak. I love Teriyaki but I am definitely a garlic girl through and through. For drinks they had two options, I went with the P.O.G, which was a passion fruit orange juice and guava mix I believe. The drink was delicious and refreshing. Hawaiian eats can be very filling and Loco Style Grindz got it to a T; with the Mac salad, rice and a huge serving of protein. The garlic chicken was fried but extremely juicy on the inside. I loved it, Mac salad was delicious and you can never go wrong with rice. I left extremely satisfied and with half of my order for later. I hope I can try their loco moco before I leave. It wasn't in stock today :-( Overall great experience!

The Churchill s location is excellent. Off Roosevelt. Finding parking can be a bit challenging so bring your extra patience for this task. Excellent place to eat with a group of friends since The Churchill has various food places. We enjoyed our food and drinks. Even though is august in Phoenix the mists kept it pretty cool. Will return to try the other food places. I love supporting our local peeps. Bathrooms are available and they are kept clean. Baby changing stations are also available. Water stations are also available.

Short rib and rib eye combo. Got lucky today

This is Phoenix's best kept secret. I love Ono's Hawaiian BBQ but this place takes it to the next level. The quality of meat and the charcoal or mesquite (not sure) they use is where the flavor is at. Cooked perfectly; the side macaroni salad and white rice with sweet teriyaki sauce is delicious as well. This food is priced accordingly based on the quality of meat. It's worth it. Been following them since they were in Mesa (long time). I'm so glad they finally got a permanent spot at the Churchill. Great vibes here. Love getting a cocktail while waiting for our order. Please stop by and say hello to Mox. She will be happy to take your order. (If she's not in Hawaii).

If I could eat this daily, I would. My only wish is they had smaller and cheaper portion options because these are massive (but delicious).

The food is overpriced and disappointing. It's overly greasy and lacks flavor, making it not worth the cost.

They noticed that I had accidentally overpaid and came to me to issue a refund, without me even realizing it! They still made my exact same meal with no issues at all. That level of honesty and care is rare. To make the experience even more special, it was my son's birthday. The manager noticed he had a Super Mario plushie and went out of their way to bring him crayons and coloring paper featuring the same character. It completely made my son's day Great food, kind and attentive staff, and genuine care for their customers. Fly Bye doesn't just serve incredible pizza and wings, they deliver the best customer service ever. Tried Fly Bye on Camelback and I'll just say it: this was a classic "great deal, a couple tweaks…read moreaway from greatness" situation. I called in my order at 11:20am and got quoted 25-30 minutes for the lunch special. It was ready right around that window, which immediately put me in a good mood because nothing ruins lunch faster than staring at a pickup counter like it owes you money. The guy behind the counter was friendly and even tossed in a sample of 'copy cane' sauce for me to try on my sandwich. I ordered the lunch special (pepperoni pizza slice + Caesar salad, no drink) and added the chicken sandwich with fries. (Fries were only $1 add on!) Starting with the chicken, flavor was solid. Chicken was seasoned and the hoagie was legit. But the lettuce comes ranch-tossed like it's training for a swimming event. It tastes good but if you wait too long to eat it, the bread starts turning into a sponge and the sandwich becomes more "salad in loaf form." The Cane's-clone sauce was 100% needed--once I added it, everything clicked. Now the fries were cooked well done, crispy, and exactly the texture I like. They were just a touch dry, so ketchup wasn't a suggestion--it was a requirement. With ketchup, they're great. The real value winner was the pizza + ceasar. The slice is big and absolutely worth the $10 on size alone. Also: A+ pepperoni choice. They use those small cupping pepperonis (Grimaldi's style) instead of the big greasy ones, and I respect that decision deeply. Only downside: the center was slightly undercooked--that gooey middle happened on a few bites, and I'm not a "wet pizza" person. The salad was fresh and the dressing had great flavor and depth, the croutons felt home made and the whole situation, even portion size, was enjoyable. Would I come back? Yeah. I'd give it another shot because the bones are good and the price is right. Next time I'm ordering the sandwich no tomato and no ranch-tossed lettuce, so I can control the sauce per bite instead of letting it control me. Also worth noting: I signed up for their rewards program and got $10 off, bringing my total to $15--which made this whole lunch feel like a small financial victory with gas at $5 a gallon!
