Wow. They tried to rip me off. Tried to buy a used pilot from them today. Carfax showed the pilot was in an accident. They still wanted to sell the car at full listing price and felt the accident did not affect the integrity of the car. I showed him that there where other dealers selling the same car with clean car faxes and he still wasn't going to negotiate the price. Sorry for the sucker who pays full price on a damaged used vehicle. In addition the car was dirty, the inside headlight didn't work, and the upholstery was a mess. Practically haggle-free! I requested quotes for a 2014 Accord EX on TrueCar/Edmunds/Costco. My mailbox and voice mail filled up quickly. Avery Green was the most aggressive with their prices (and volume of emails). On the other hand, Curtis from Lodi Honda was very low key. When I picked up my mom in Stockton, I didn't even intend to drive out to Lodi. Once there, a friendly associate greeted us at the door. He paged Curtis because there must be some rule about who gets the walk-ins. Curtis was patient and even let us test drive the CRV because my mom was indecisive. He showed us his 2014 Accord inventory then walked us all the way around the back because we wanted to see the 2015 Sports. We were there for HOURS through no fault of Curtis'. When it was time to get down to business, he was quick with his offers. To my surprise, we sat at a bar table instead of the conference cubes. He grabbed two print-outs from the office, one with extended warranty, one without. I baulked at the numbers right away. I gave my number and he went back to the office. In minutes, he came back with a new and almost agreeable number. I didn't want to commit so we walked away. A bad experience at Stockton Honda and a day later, I texted Curtis for an extra $200 off and we had a deal. One star off because it took FOREVER to get the car. After a look at the car we would get, we signed all the papers and completed the cash transaction with the finance guy in no time. Then we waited for 1hr+ for the car "to be cleaned". We were at the dealership from 230p to 5p and we had already agreed on a price going in! Curtis was thorough in explaining all the dashboard functions. I definitely appreciated him bluetooth-pairing my mom's phone to the car. It was unfortunate that my mom and I were both an hour late for our dinner plans by then so we weren't quite paying attention and we certainly didn't have time to ask questions. I have yet to figure out how to lock the car with the smart key... FInal note, my dad helped me with my 2000 Accord SE at Lodi Honda 14 years ago. Life has come full circle. :) read more

Brought my Honda in for a cd deck repair. The service guy spends 10 seconds turning it on and presses a couple of buttons and says, it's not working. Hmmmm.... that's why I brought it in.Duh? Then he proceeds to his repair manager Kelly who comes out a minute later and tells me it's going to cost me $150 to pull some CDs out because I have burned CD in the deck. He goes on to say a burned CD is thicker than a normal CD and all this other make-believe fairy tales. What a crock of B.S!!!! Took it to Stockton Honda. They removed the CDs for free! First day having it, the voice recognition doesn't work, the navigation voice doesn't work, the sunroof whistles during freeway driving. They want me to bring in my car and leave it without a loner??? How am I to work or get around? I thought Honda was the most reliable vehicle. But no! And the attitude from the staff there was not what I got when they wanted my money. Bought my car here nice deal, went back for a second set of PAX tires. All seemed good. Next thing I know they are bubbled and coming off the rims. A second Honda PAX certified dealership verified the installation caused the problem and not one but all 4 tires are destroyed and the dealership will not cover the tires. (Approx $1300.) American Honda sympathizes but can not make them do anything since they are independently owned. And it is a workmanship issue. Cases are now pending with Ca department of consumer affairs / bureau of Automotive repairs, Michelin and filing a law suit since there was a serous safety concern, it was a matter of luck the tires did not blow out and cause a major accident with my kids in the car. They offered to cover the labor to replace the tires only. Wow, I hope your tires were mounted correctly! read more

Service Only Review: Engine light came on and I took the 7yr old car in. My accord had never required more than rountine maintenance. I was told my oil pressure switch needed replacement along with cpu software change and oil change near $487 in work. I asked if it's safe to drive with just an oil change for now and asked how damaging leaving the switch could be. I was told it's unsafe to drive without it and that wouldn't fix the engine light alert. I was told by a friend all I need is to replace my oil consistently and not depend on the car to tell me and the light will go off. I took my chances and left with only an oil change. The light went off the next day. Feels like an example of a typical untrustworthy mechanic trying to make as much money as possible from a young woman unfamiliar with cars. They could have been honest and told me to change it in the future and change my oil regularly in the meantime. I did not expect that from a dealership service shop. Now I know one more mechnic shop I can't trust for honest work. read more

Went here to buy a new car, they told us the numbers based on our credit score and told us we were going to be approved and so they told us they were just gunna run the credit and we would be good to go and they had us waiting for 3 hours and sold the car while we were waiting. I will never come back here and never recommend this place to anyone. I would give this 0 stars if I could. Took the car in twice for a check engine light. First time said just a loose gas cap, which I told them I didn't believe because I had just replaced it. $75. Second time, a day later when the light came back on it was 02 sensor and Evap purge valve. $626. Took them over a week to get it back to me too. Two days later, light is back on. This is the most easiest and satisfying car purchase experience we've ever had. We've just purchased a 2014 Accord Hybrid which we all know it's very difficult to negotiate since the inventory is scarce. So my husband and I were very unhappy with the service department. We brought our Honda Accord in on June 14, 2021 to have a bunch of things fixed. Had oil changed and so forth. When they called about the car they mentioned things that had to be fixed we were like ok cause we have warranty. But when we went to pick up our car and got home we looked on their check list and on there it said that it needed a new air filter and cabin filter which they never mentioned on the phone of things that had to be done. Our car was there all day. If they would have mentioned that those two things needed to be done we would have had them do it. Not happy to come home with the car and see that not everything was taken care of. Nor the cashier or service rider said nothing to my husband when we picked up the car. Also was very disappointed in the fact that they didn't even wash our car. When we have taken it in before they have always been nice and cleaned it. Totally disappointed. read more

I am looking to buy a car. We want to use a lender that finances our other car. I called ahead, asked about a specific car and asked about applying to a specific lender. We take the time to go there and test drive. We leave and fill out the app they told us to fill out online. Then they apply at Chase? This is not the lender we asked for, they add a $900 "accessory fee" and a few hundred in other fees and still have not done what we discussed before and during the visit to the showroom. Thankfully, I did not and will not buy a car from Lodi Honda. FYI this is the second Honda dealership with shady sales I have encountered within the past few years. Great experience compared to when I bought my first car some years back (at a different dealership). Originally went there for a recall. While there I decided to ask them to run a diagnostic because my vehicle would shake past 60 mph. They said the cost was $175 which I approved. I was aware my vehicle needed a new set of tires but, I wanted a full inspection since my car has a lot of miles (scared it was a deeper issue). Once finished with the recall and diagnostic, the employee said the shaking was due to needing a new set of tires. I asked the employee what specifically did they check during there diagnostic. His response was that they test drove it then looked at the tires. I asked him if $175 seemed like a fair price, since there was technically zero labor done on their part. He understood and dropped the cost to $110. The employees were welcoming and professional, but after leaving that dealership I felt like I was ripped off.
