Elevator to go to 3rd floor terrace bar

Hey fellow Yelpers! This was my 2nd time coming to the Lowes Chicago Hotel in downtown Chicago for an event for this amazing organization that I'm part of called Step Up. The hotel staff were really friendly at the 3rd floor patio/terrace area and got me an adult beverage and asked if I wanted anything else. Very attentive staff! Keep up the amazing work! Atmosphere: This hotel feels hidden and looks very simple on the outside. Jane you walk inside, it feels modern and fancy. The bathrooms are located towards the back of the hotel and there's signage. The elevator to go to the patio area is on the left side as soon as you walk through the entrance. There are lots of places to sit and relax. Overall Experience: Overall, I've had a great experience coming to hotel for events. Simple and modern on the outside and cozy and fancy on the inside. The staff were very friendly. I hope this review helps Lowes in the downtown Chicago location, Lowes in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

Pros: Wonderful, helpful staff You can scan a QR code to use your phone as remote - pretty cool Nice meeting rooms Large airy lobby Food was excellent across the board - hats off the catering Enjoyed the desserts and soups especially and I didn't feel like they were recycling the food as the week went on Beautifully appointed rooms with wonderful views Cons: Did not like the female concierge. She was a bit condescending and not helpful. Pro tip: Everything is walkable! Make sure you spend some time on the Riverwalk, which is just steps from the hotel.

Stayed here for Juneteenth weekend. Absolutely would recommend. The customer service was great, the room was beautiful, and the location + amenities make this a great place to stay. Regarding the lobby lounge we came for a drink at happy hour & for a late evening meal on another day. For happy hour cocktail it was gin so we could make whatever cocktail we wanted with it if they had the ingredients. We ordered a French 75 and an Elderflower collins, the gin was good & cocktails were good. For dinner we ordered the club sandwich & fries and Brussels. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter was very attentive and personable, an absolute pleasure. The hospitality within the area was great as well as the food.

Spent 2 nights at the Loews to celebrate my wife's birthday in our city. We had an amazing stay! They even had a birthday cupcake on our room for her when we arrived which was very sweet. Our room was very nice (which of course I forgot to get a picture of during our stay). I did however get a great shot of our view from the 14th floor over the city! This is definitely one of our favorite hotels we're ever stayed at & a for sure recommendation for anyone looking to stay downtown!

Loews made my birthday stay so perfect! From the surprise cupcake in the room & the amazing view, my husband and I had a wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are extremely clean. Easy to get to and the concierge are so kind to help you with whatever you need. We will definitely stay here again!

Chopped Salad

Service was outstanding from before I even walked in (greeted by outdoor staff and helped direct me to where I was headed when I asked), to the hotel's downstairs lobby bar. The bartenders went out of their way to check on me (even asking me if I wanted extra salad dressing or offering iced water for me to take to go). The chopped salad was average, but I loved my cocktail - it was light, refreshing, not too sweet, and well-balanced. It was such a nice reprieve and turned my night around after the bad experience with Streeterville Social (the rooftop bar, which this review does not extend to). I'd definitely come back to try another cocktail and the ambiance was classy and low-key.

This is the first time we stay at this hotel in Chicago. It is located in downtown and is so close to Michigan ave. Due to the location of this hotel which is so pretty convenience to all the places we want to go to therefore my boyfriend booked this hotel. With being in downtown the parking lot is about a block away from the hotel items. This parking lot is shared by a university, hotel hotel, and others . The parking lot is located in AMC theater building. It does cost per day, which is about $55 dollars per day. The staff are nice. We have been here for the last two nights. There are several food options inside the hotel itself.

This our first time staying at a Loews and we really enjoyed it. The lobby is under construction, but the staff went out of their way to provide a Christmas decorated lobby in a different area. The drinks at the bar were tasty, our room was clean and well thought out, and room service even has food for pets! But on top of all that I don't know what I love the most - the staff or how family friendly the hotel is. This Loews truly has the friendliest most above and beyond staff of any hotel I've been to. Honestly! From the front desk to concierge to bartenders to housekeepers. Everyone was amazing! As for being family friendly, they offer cribs, a cart of kids books, complimentary hot cocoa, and go above and beyond to be helpful to us (we traveled with a 9 month old). Based on my experience here, I would try any other Loews again.

This was easily one of my favorite hotel stays. Location is unbeatable, every single staff was on point and in a hurry to get our needs met, the room, bathroom and hallway was super clean, room service looked and tasted like proper food at a nice restaurant, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I was always excited to go back to our room whenever we were done exploring. Cannot recommend Loews Chicago Hotel enough and I'll certainly go back when next I'm in Chicago.

Nice rooms. Nothing to complain about here. Was there for a work event. Catering food was on the uneatable side.

Ask the Community - Loews Chicago Hotel

What is the nightly parking costs?

It should be 55 dollars for self parking and 73 for valet parking. I don't think the parking lot is in the same building of the hotel. So in fact it might be better to do valet parking anyway

Is there a hot tub in the pool area?

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

My first night when I couldn't get up to the roof, I tried the restaurant downstairs. Also closes at 11pm. 10:20, hostess says they just called last call. I said cool I can order a drink. While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G
