I've heard this spot used to be a garage, which makes the setup even cooler. I really like that you can seat yourself, and there's plenty of space with both indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the Baja chicken sandwich, and it was really good definitely enjoyed it.

We stopped into Loflin on a breezy Saturday afternoon to grab a bite and catch the last parts of a football game. We enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the community that was also watching the game with us. We grabbed a variety of food offering and were pleased with it all. I can't wait to visit again and try something else or enjoy a beverage!

Went there for a company catered meal gathering. The place is really cool with outdoor vibes and games. The patio has lots of forage for shade, lawn chairs. It had cornhole games. I think there are other games you can play out there as well. The outdoor patio also has some sort of little pond. The inside is fairly open with TVs that are overhang for watching sports games when it comes to the food it is good but not best we had sandwiches. We have fruit mac & cheese street corn and chips with white queso. Everything was pretty good but nothing too crazy to write home about. Mac & cheese was the best one. Didn't really interact much with the staff there when it comes to service.

Decided to have brunch here as it's been a while since my last visit. We arrived around 12:30 and it was super easy to choose a seating area. The weather was nice so we couldn't pass up on sitting outdoors. I will say I was soooo excited to not end up on the menu today (iykyk). Sometimes those mosquitoes will eat you alive . First time trying their brunch items and omg!!! I chose the Smokehouse Scramble and added Brisket and the breakfast potatoes. When I say I was sooo surprised at the potato medley. Both items were bomb! I also had a frozen Paloma which was very refreshing. Overall, the day was a hit. my girls and I had a great time.

This seems to be a great choice when you have a diverse group and casual after work spot. This is convenient to work downtown and great indoor and outside ambiance. Plenty of seating, good food choices and sometimes live music. Things I don't like are individuals at our table has to go place their orders separately and mention card on file. Bathrooms could use more care but we're spacious and stocked. After our coworkers left, me and hubs still went outside and chilled for abit.

Never order a Po Boy unless you know someone from Louisiana was in charge of making it. This is a smoked turkey Po Boy. First of all it's on a hotdog bun with quarter inch thick sliced turkey with supermarket quality mixed greens to justify the $13 they charge you for this. The best part of this was the Miss Vickie's chips they have on the side. The chips were even better than the French fries Jackson upgraded to on his chicken tenders. I ordered unsweet tea because you know your boy got sugar. I asked for sweetener and they didn't have any. None of us finished our meals. I didn't even want to take leftovers home. There was hardly any table service even though we paid a 20% gratuity in advance.

I appreciate Loflin for its outdoor space and the fun environment during sports events! I like to go with a group - wouldn't necessarily go for the food specifically. The food is typical bar food with a twist and it's good when you're watching a game and having a drink.

Four stars for the ambiance & service, which is why you come here. You're most likely coming here for the drink and outdoor environment rather than the food. The food is mediocre at best. However, you will have a good time enjoying drinks and games and maybe catching a game.

Love the vibes here! Got the old bridge burger and it was delicious! Also got a mule and it was perfectly made. It's a great place to hang out with a large group.

After trying all the major BBQ joints in Memphis (Central BBQ, Blues Café, Rendezvous, etc), I was feeling like a change in scenery and trying some place different. I was pleasantly surprised that Loflin Yard came up as a lone option south of Memphis so I decided to have an adventure and check it out. Here's my take on the experience: Quality of food:  Excellent. I went all out and ordered the Pit Boss which comes with 3 meats and 3 sides. For the meats I got the beef brisket, smoked turkey, and smoked sausage. This was served with cucumber salad. For the sides I got the Mac & Cheese, Mexican street corn, and loaded baked potato salad. First of all, the portion size was huge and I ended up saving more than half my food for the next meal. All the meats had a delicious smoky flavor. The brisket was that melt-in-your-mouth kind and the street corn was tangy and fresh. The sausage dipped in the spicy mustard sauce was heavenly. Décor: homey. It's a little confusing at first as to where you're supposed to go. The front door was closed when I went so I had to get to use the side entrance and from there go left to the back bar. The bar used to be a coach house and there you can order drinks and sit inside. I opted to order inside and take my food order number with me and sit outside. There is a wide open outdoor area that feels like somebody's backyard. There's also a small falls like feature right next to the kitchen which is pretty neat. One wouldn't think that this place is so huge from the outside. Cleanliness: All the areas and grounds were being kept clean. Service: good. The girl that took my drink and food order was friendly and provided quick service. Price:  typical for BBQ. The combo was $33. You know....sometimes there's that restaurant which only the locals know about but it never shows up in the "best of" searches or travel magazines or even gets recommended by your hotel lobby staff? I think Loflin Yard is one of those gems. If you're visiting Memphis and have a car and have had enough of the big BBQ places that everyone mentions, then I highly recommend checking out Loflin Yard. This is where the locals go to get good food and relax.

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!

My friend owns a larger catering/events establishment in Georgia and was excited about the menu at the establishment. We walked in (on a whim) and asked if tables were available (clearly we saw some on the patio and inside once we entered). The greeting from the hostess was - let's just say less than inviting. . It was around 7:40p and she said "well since you don't have a reservation, the soonest I can get you in is 8p" ...no problem we will walk around until then. My initial thought, screw this reservation - if the hostess has this type of demeanor, what could we expect in terms of service? As my friend was still excited about the menu and to taste some of the pairings, we decided to wait. At 7:59 (like clockwork), the notice of our table being ready was sent. The hostess seated us and again, I wasn't optimistic of what would occur during the visit. The server that greeted us was GREAT!!! We ordered SEVERAL appetizers and drinks and all were AMAZING - (the grilled avocado with the shrimp was worth the trip alone). For dinner we ordered Peking Duck and Ribeye Steak Salads (and more drinks). Both were amazing. And while the desserts looked divine, there was absolutely no room. We were impressed with the old Beauty Shop decor - it really was a conversation piece. It's small and quaint and we had a lovely chat with the patrons alongside us. The food and service EXCELLENT! I'm glad that I didn't follow my first inclination to leave (because of the hostess and the "curt" demeanor). On a high note, I did notice the hostess being very gracious to the others that she encountered. Maybe it was my cologne - not everyone likes to smell YSL ‍.

Many ordered the skate with brown butter which was world class. After dinner, 1 client remained due to difficulty getting Uber. He ordered a drink and was told the register was closed. I quietly asked the owner if he could offer the drink on the house, and he declined. Had he been more accommodating, ACRE would have been at the top of the list for a substantial number of subsequent business dinners. My fiancé and I decided we would give Acre another try last week. We ordered the striped bass entree for $49. When the dish arrived there was what could only be described as two scraps of fish: One piece was less than a half inch thick and about 4 inches long, and after some searching, we found a second piece about half that size. I have never seen a striped bass small enough to yield a filet that thin. We asked the server to ask the kitchen if that was intentional or if there was a mistake. We were hopeful that a "do over" would result in the entrée described on the menu. Unfortunately, the server was clearly not in our court. Her attitude was passive /aggressive or at best indifferent. Despite specifically asking what the chef had to say, we received no visit or even feedback from the kitchen. What could have been handled with a laugh and a new or different entrée selection, quickly became uncomfortable. Hindsight is 20/20, but we should have considered our first bad experience a clear message that the culture at Acre is not a fit for us. We will not be back.
