    Side salad

We came here for to celebrate my dad's birthday and it turned out to be a wonderful evening. The service was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was very dark and intimate. We ordered the saganaki to start, which was flambéed table side and it was fresh and delicious. We shared the porterhouse and the lamb chops (which were loins, not ribs) and there was an extra $8 charge on shared plates. The porterhouse was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The filet portion was my favorite part. The lamb loin chops were very thick and came with 4 large pieces. Each order came with a side salad or soup, and some type of potato, with many options to choose from. I love the Greek influence on this steak house restaurant. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or for a nice dinner.

What a fantastic experience, our first time eating there our server was wonderful. Our food was even better. My husband said it was the best lamb chop he had had. And oh my God, the carrot cake.

Service was quick. Cute and moody interior. The Greek salad was fresh and tasty. It's hard to say good things about the porterhouse. Uneven cooking and bland in taste. No crust whatsoever and kind of felt like I was eating a chuck roast. Mostly disappointed in this place overall.

I had fond memories from my last visit here. Still good. Just not as stand out as it could be . . . more unique flavors, etc. It definitely is a touristy venue, both in its prices and turning of tables, not to mention its promotion of Saganaki. Service was okay. As a frequent midwesterner, prone to steak houses, I need a little more to earn that 5th star.

A very mediocre steakhouse with very dark lighting. Service is very friendly but also very relaxed so I wouldnt eat here if you wanted to be somewhere after. Had the beef kabob and it came with barley soup. Beef kabob I would pass on as it was chewy. It came with a side of potatoes and we had it as greek fries which I would also pass on because they were not crispy and also chewy. Also had the pork bbq ribs and they truly did fall off the bone and were worth the price.

This is one of the oldest steak house in Illinois and well worth a visit. This historic steakhouse is a must-visit. The lamb is delectable, and the martini is expertly shaken. Located on Main Street, it's a great place to stroll and shop.

Service was excellent. Very nice romantic atmosphere. Mixed drinks were watered down so I wasn't happy about that. The prim rib was delicious but very pricy. For 2 prim rib dinners it cost $167.00 . Lots of delicious steaks to choose from. We had a very nice time. Always a winter favorite destination.

Dino and Sam deliver an excellent meal in the heart of the greatest small town in America. Prime rib is legit, deserts are fantastic all around must do in Galena. Dinner for 5 drinks, steaks, desert, 240 coconuts

This is a classic, cozy spot with intimate vibes and a cute, old-school sign out front that sets the tone. The flaming saganaki was definitely a highlight--fun to watch and deliciously gooey. My boyfriend got a steak and said it was solid. The atmosphere feels like a timeless supper club, and the service was super diligent--attentive without being overbearing. Good date night spot when in Galena.

This small accommodating detail made the day even more seamless and intentional for our guests. We hadn't been to Vinny's prior to the wedding weekend, so we were a bit anxious about the unknown food and service. In the end, both were great! We had the fried calamari, bruschetta, fried ravioli, and seafood stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. We had the lasagna, chicken parm, and pepper steak for our main course, and an assortment for treats for dessert. The portions were hearty, and everyone commented on how amazed they were at all the food that just came coming out! Our favorite was the chicken parm and tiramisu, but all of the food was good - my Italian mother in law approved! The next time we're in Galena, we will definitely be coming by for some chicken parm and tiramisu!

The morning of, we noticed the weather was perfect and asked to move our reservation outside and they happily accommodated us with no problem. They started us off with chips and pico de gallo. I asked for extra salsa roja and salsa verde. The pico had a nice kick, the roja had a smoky flavor, and the verde was more on the roasted side. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the verde, which was a bummer since it's usually my favorite. The chunky guac, though, was a solid 10/10. The margarita flights were 30% off, so that was an easy choice. Tons of flavor options to pick from, which was fun. For my main, I went with the Suizo burrito topped with melted Chihuahua cheese. I didn't love it -- maybe I'm spoiled living in the Quad Cities where we've got incredible Mexican spots on every corner. Something about it just felt a little off. To top it off, we were constantly swatting away flies at our table, which didn't help. Still, the service was great and our server was super friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good dinner, and I'd definitely go back... just to try something different next time.
