I have been to Logan's many times and really loved it, the service and the food. BUT today at lunch everything was a disaster! The potato soup had so much salt I couldn't eat it. I ordered fries with my sandwich, the fries were not done at all, the bread on my sandwich was burnt around the edges. The servers just seemed a little tense. I heard some one yell loudly from the kitchen F#*%!!!! Two weeks ago I would have given Logan 5 stars! Today just was not a good day at Logan's in Garner NC!!! I used to love this place. Today when we walked in, the hostess didn't even smile. That should have been my indicator to leave. Our server, who turned out to be a decent server yet she never said her name, took 5 minutes just to greet us. (Possibly because that slacker hostess didn't tell her she was sat or she was busy. Regardless she didn't even stop by and say she'd be with us in a minute.) Salads came out quickly but had a bunch of brown leaves we had to pick out. Then our food came out over cooked, 30 minutes after ordering it ... it was a Medium Rare steak so I don't see any excuse for that. Absolutely the WORST experience we have ever had there. Our waitress brought drinks, then disappeared. She finally came to take our order, ordered rib eye cooked medium, 9 oz filet cooked medium, and 8 oz sirloin cooked medium rare, and side salad as an entree and two kids hamburgers. We finally got soup and salad that came with our meal. After about 15 minutes they came out with food and went to the table behind us, a group that came in at least 10 minutes after us. The server announced, 6 oz filet and someone at that table said it was his. So server set it down in front of him. Then started asking about the rest if the food he had and nobody at that table claimed anything. We finally figured out the food he had was ours, but our party had order 9 oz filet not 6 oz. The server took the plate from the other table and put it on our table, but it was a 6 oz, not a 9 oz that's ordered. When we asked why he had called it a 6oz at table behind us and then called the same steak a 9 oz when he put it on our table. Server said "sorry" and took steak back to the kitchen, came back in less than a minute WITH THE SAME STEAK. We tried to find our waitress to ask for ketchup and mustard and finally went and found another waitress to get them. Another person came over and said it absolutely was not a 9 oz and took it back. The ribeye was gray in the middle and the sirloin was over half gristle. Finally the filet came and manager? waited while it was cut to see how it was and it was raw in the middle, so off the steak went again. And STILL NO SIDE SALAD THAT WAS ORDERED AS AN ENTREE. Finally the salad came after we asked where it was. By the time the third steak came we were all through eating, so we all watched while he ate. So disappointed in this place. It used to be one of our favorite steak restaurants but the last several times we've been, they can't get the timing down for when to bring your food. If we order an appetizer and our food at the same time, we end up getting everything within 5 minutes of each other. Tonight we just ordered an appetizer and said we wanted to wait to order our main entrees until the appetizer came. The waiter took our order after we got the appetizer and just as we finished the appetizer, here comes the steaks. But we never got our salads!! This place was rough. Our waitress didn't seem even remotely excited to be there. Our food took a LONG time to arrive and when it did my steak was cold. Like, cold cold. But we had waited so long it wasn't worth sending back to wait longer. The two "steak tips" kids meals my daughters ordered were a sad sight- four shriveled little pieces of meat that looked like rocks on a giant plate with some old fruits in a side dish. First time eating at Logan's. Ordered the fried catfish combo with veggies and rice pilaf. All 3 were really tasty. The complimentary bread rolls are excellent. Being able to toss your peanuts everywhere is also pretty cool. Definitely a place to try bi-monthly due to the prices which all hover above 10 bucks. My son and I went for and early dinner. We both ordered the bone in 20oz medium rare. Our steaks came out so rare you could see the raw meat from the side. It was cold in the middle. We watched our server leaning in the prep table then completely disappear for almost 15 minutes. She finally noticed we weren't eating. She took the steaks back and I watched the cook poke them bare handed, then take them off the plate and throw them in the grill. After watching the cook smash the steaks causing the flames to engulf both steaks. After more than 10 minutes of this I located the manager who was delivering remade food to other tables. I told him what happened he found and delivered our food. My sons steak had been cut almost in half and both were black and charred. I told the server I couldn't eat that. The manager came over and with a horrible attitude ask did I want him to take it off. He never offered to have new ones cooked correctly. He never offered anything. read more

I love the grilled wings from here but almost EVERY time I come here there is an issue. They don't have the order, bring me the wrong order or SOMETHING! Today I called in my order at 4:20, was told it takes 25 minutes. I got here at 5:05. Wait 5 minutes for the first person to come out, 5 more minutes for the next person to come. I call inside spoke with the person who took my order she is checking on it. Another 5 minutes pass and the manager comes out.....3 times. It is now 5:35 and my wings FINALLY came to the car. I provided my information but after 8 days, I have yet to be contacted. Below is why they should have a rating of why they should owe me stars. I guess I should post an update to my earlier post. I sent a FB message and got the response "Thank you for getting back to us, Donnie. We have passed your info along to our team. Someone should be in touch soon." I guess soon is in the eye of the beholder because after 8 days, no one has contacted me. Now, let me elaborate on how crappy this meal was. It was the WORST meal I've ever paid for and we spent $90 there. We went during the 5:00 hour so it wasn't even busy. The waiter forgot to place an order for my ribs. He brought out fried orca that resembled the skin of a dead alligator days after being left out in the searing heat. He brought out Mac n cheese that appeared to have been on the counter for several hours. The steak he brought out was well done when it was ordered as medium rare and it was approximately 75% chunks of fat. I would not have ever bought that in a grocery store. Kiko's salmon was burnt on the ends and slimy in the middle rendering it inedible. My daughters steak, which was ordered medium rare came out well done. The potato skins were burnt with about half of them looking like burnt toast (dark brown and crumbly). They quickly posted a reply publicly to make their customers think they cared but no one has contacted me. The crappiest food and service I've ever encountered, even worse than McDonalds. They haven't contacted me and I suppose they won't. They only want your money. They will not even contact you to try to make things better for the next customer. The worst of the worst. If you're wanting to eat at a Logan's Roadhouse, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The only thing edible on the table was bread. Everything else was hideous. read more

We drove all the way out here from West Raleigh for our anniversary after having read the other reviews on Yelp. The service was great. The food was good. One of our steaks was under cooked but the server took it back to the kitchen to be cooked a little longer. We expected the server to bring the plate back but to our mutual surprise the manager himself brought the plate back out as he wanted to personally apologize for the mistake and to see if the steak was acceptable. Normally, I would rate this restaurant 4 stars because the steaks, potatoes, burgers & salads are usually very good and our latest visit was no exception to that. However, I have docked this location a star due to Logan's Roadhouse offering a "buy one entree, get the second one free" promo, only to find out once we were seated and ready to place our order that this restaurant "does not take coupons". They said that the Facebook promo was from their corporate office and as the Garner restaurant is part of a franchise, they do not honor those corporate promos. Well, what kind of way is that to do business?! Like I said above, we enjoyed our meal on this visit, there was nothing wrong with it at all and the waiter was very good, but the coupon thing left us a little bent out of shape about the whole experience. If the local store isn't going to honor the deals their corporate office puts out, then how about posting that on your door or on the menu? (Update) Went here today and they've been docked 2 stars, and we do not plan on going back. My wife's steak had an unusual taste about it, like maybe it was on the edge of going bad so we reported it to one of the waitresses who got the manager to come to our table. Well, he basically intimated that it couldn't be the steak because they're so busy that their butcher goes through steaks too fast for one to be bad. He took her meal off the bill but his attitude was not professional, much less appreciated. And, then we asked for a to-go soda and the waiter said he would have to charge us for it. We've had to-go sodas on several previous occasions and have never been charged for one, so why this time? Well, lets just say it was charged to his tip. :o) No more Logan's Roadhouse for us...we'll drive the extra miles to go to Texas Roadhouse where their food is consistently great and service always top-notch. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I was eating my food with my family and happened to pick up my potato... There was a wet RECIEPT holding my food and the plate together!!!! The receipt was just sitting, wet ON the plate UNDER my food. I actually chewed on paper because the receipt had begun to dissolve under my chicken. I had pieces of paper stuck to all of my food and all over my plate.... I wasnt going to complain although I had assumed that they gave me a dirty plate to eat off of. I just informed the waiter. Then she asks if I still want my salad (which they forgot to bring out with my food) I say yes but I informed her with every order last night that I want NO BACON. She brings my salad back LOADED with bacon. I then ask to speak to the manager. She comes out with a nonchalant, RUDE demeanor and explains to me that the receipt being hidden under my food "sometimes happens"..I am appalled, disgusted and extremely disappointed. Had high hopes for this restaurant but it fell very short in several ways. I ordered the rack of ribs which were suprisingly very good. I also got a baked potato which was so over cooked that it wasn't edible. I also ordered the mac & cheese which had absolutely no flavor at all. My wife got the combo ribs & steak with rice. The steak was small and not much flavor, ribs were the only good part of the meal. The rice was bland. It was a Very disappointing experience to say the least and pricey at that. I still left a generous tip for the waiter because he was very attentive & courteous. Then I went to hit the bathroom on the way out and it was gross! I didn't want to touch anything in there. You know, I can't always put my finger on why I don't go to Logan's more often. It's not that the food is bad. Quite the contrary. It's usually prepared and seasoned well. The chicken here is above average, even if the steaks are standard fare. The drinks are good. Roadhouse iced teas (with an extra bit of alcohol) are good---at least according to my wife. The tea is strong and sweet. Plus, you can throw your peanut shells on the floor, which is always a fun experience. I think the general thing that keeps me from coming back is the atmosphere of the place. It just doesn't feel welcoming or comfortable to me. The staff is competent, but not particularly notable. Short version - I won't return. My steak was bad. That's unforgiveable at a steakhouse. Long version - We went here for an early lunch today. The good: My husband's 9 oz steak, my daughter's chicken tenders and fries, yeast rolls, and my baked sweet potato were good. My son's burger was too charred. The bad: My steak was not good. I ordered the 6 oz filet, cooked medium. What arrived appeared to be a bleached-out piece of gristle that vaguely resembled a piece of meat. I looked like a piece of pork that had been put through a garbage disposal. I don't know what happened - bad quality control? very old cow? frozen and thawed several times? The women's restroom was filthy. Ive been here twice on my worldwide chain steakhouses tour and this was so far the lowest rated in my opinion. The first time I came I was with the family and after the waitress took out order the it took almost an hour for the food to come out. Im a very patient patron but I can't say the same for my wife! I don't like to judge anyone NEGATIVELY on 1st appearances. So we tried again with my brother and his girlfriend. Same experience but this time the food came out on time but wrong! And at that time the young tried to argue that we ordered the wrong thing. After he figured out he was indeed mistaken he apologized but needless to say the damage was done. In my opinion the steaks are a little thin for the 18oz ribeye and really didn't have that much flavor. But the drinks were good thus why I gave them 2 stars. On to the next! read more

This is supposed to be a steak house I thought. I haven't been here in about 8 years because the steaks are terrible. However I was taken here for my birthday and I hoped that things would be different , but surprise!!! Things were worse or at least the same. I read another review that said steaks are like beef jerky. Beef jerky would be a step up actually. The best thing about this place was the bread and free peanuts. I can't honestly believe this place is still in business. The parking lot was full. People must not have any concept of what a great steak should taste like. I have literally scratched this place off my list for good. Free or not this food is not worth it. If you want a great steak you should visit Tripp's in Garner. I've never been disappointed there. Exceeded my expectations. Friday night 5pm walk in and was seated immediately. Stephanie our server was prompt, professional, personable and had a great attitude. One of our forks were dirty and she quickly replaced it with a new set of rolled silverware, again we had a dirty fork, wasn't to concerned just brought it to their attention. A few minutes later the manager came by and apologized , we told him it was no big deal, food came out everything was perfect, flavor, freshness, everyone was very satisfied. When we got the bill it was discounted 50% I wasn't expecting a discount at all but the manager felt like he owed us a better experience and it was his gesture to show us he wanted us to be a satisfied customer. Kudos to the manager. It's made me grateful to know they actually cared about our experience. read more

My husband and I went here for my birthday. Logan's is typically one of my favorite steakhouses, so I was looking forward to it. This location seems to have a bit of improving to do, however. Service was a little slow, which I don't mind because I understand how things can get a little backed up. The nail in the coffin for me, though, was the steak. The edges were a little well done however it was medium in middle so I would say I'm happy with the steak The onions grilled with amber bock beer were ok steak was 3 stars The mashed potatoes sucked didn't even eat 1/4 of them. I think they just skinned a baked potato and smashed it not smooth or creamy. I give these 0 stars The wait staff and bartender were good for the most part again however the bartender has too much on her plate trying to get so much done and ready didn't spend much time behind the bar. Went back to Logan's after 10 years and am afraid that I won't be going back. Food is very mediocre. I ordered a baked potato and bowl of chili. The chili tasted like it was pre-made from a can and the baked potato was over done and had black spots in it. Servers were very nice and had good service. My husband and I were looking forward to enjoying a nice steak & were extremely dissappointed ~ 1. They must have had the air down to 60° (a tactic some restaurants use to get people in & out fast - my husband was cold & he is NEVER cold) 2. In regards to our service ~ I've encountered old shoes with more personality than our server 3. I was 3 bites into my salad when our steaks came out & I eat fast! 4. My husband had the 16oz ribeye which was a) undercooked, b) unseasoned and c) over 30% fat 5. My 8oz sirloin was med rare, but since it came out on a sizzling hot plate w/no onions underneath it as stated on the menu (& I wanted that 4th bite of my salad) it was med well 2 min later 6. The mashed potatoes (loaded) were extremely dry - we've had better leftovers to be quite honest. 7. While the manager was attentive to one specific table, (his friend's family - who was drunk & loud) he needs to realize boundaries when it comes to space. Standing directly behind us chit chatting as their toddlers were fussing got to be a bit much. . He was hovering over our table, which was very close in proximity. We are very laid back people & both of us felt very unconfortable. Almost angry. We asked for the check 8. The only good part of our experience is that the check came immediately & the salad was good In conclusion ~ If you're looking for a great steak, attentive staff, great atmosphere, and a great overall experience STAY FAR away from Logan's Outhouse! read more
