My family and I visited the Texas Roadhouse in Holly Springs, NC. Thurs 7/16 @8pm. We were told the wait would be about 15 minutes, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated in about 5 to 7 minutes. Our server greeted us right away, introduced herself, took our drink orders, and everything seemed like it was off to a good start. After we placed our order, things started to change. I understand the restaurant was busy, so I wasn't too concerned about how long it took for the food to come out. My biggest issue was that our server kept disappearing for long periods of time. Whenever we needed drink refills or had a question, we found ourselves looking around trying to find her. I could see other servers checking on their tables, but ours was rarely around. When I did see her, she was usually at the server station talking with coworkers. She spent a lot of time laughing, chatting, hugging people, and high-fiving while we were sitting there waiting. It just felt like socializing was getting more attention than the guests. Another small thing was that we weren't given appetizer plates. It wasn't a huge deal, so we just grabbed some from an empty table nearby instead of asking for them. Little things like that started to add up. Toward the end of our meal, her attitude seemed to change. She came across as irritated, and the friendly attitude she had at the beginning was gone. We asked for some rolls to take home, and when she brought them back, the box had two regular-sized rolls and two tiny little rolls with only one butter. The rolls were just tossed into the container upside down, and it honestly looked like no care had been put into it. Our bill was about $83. I normally tip around 20%, but based on the service, I couldn't justify leaving that much. I debated leaving even less, but I still left a $10 tip because I know serving isn't an easy job. I've always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse, so this experience was disappointing. Maybe it was just an off night, but based on how our visit went, I don't think we'll be returning to this location. read more

I don't know what the hype is. Every time I drive here I see a line out the door for this location. But the food and experience is very subpar. They messed up my order and my dad's order by overcooking the steak. They didn't have more of that cut so we had to get something else. They did comp us for the inconvenience. So I really appreciate that. I just think this location is so busy and it just doesn't have enough space to handle the demand. So I do think they are trying their best in terms of service. But the food there's always an issue and they don't always cook the steak to the right temperature. read more

I am overly irritated and feel very disrespected. I am in town for a couple of days and decided to take my family out to have a nice steak this evening. Our waitress cussed over and over again at my table. She wasn't cussing at us, she was just saying cuss words over and over again as she spoke with us at our table. I had two young teens with me and I didn't appreciate the language. We are a Christian family and that is not what we expect to hear when we're spending over $200 for a meal. Then, to top it off, she said a very vulgar thing at our table. I could not believe what I was experiencing was real. I had a sweet INNOCENT little girl at my table along with my young nephew and she said the most vulgar thing I have ever heard by anyone in customer service ever say!!! It's very mediocre in terms of food quality, but it's a place where the menu is so long that anyone in your party will be able to find something to eat. There is a long wait on a Friday night and possibly weekend nights. They do not take any reservations but you can get on the wait list. I suggest you always call ahead if you cannot wait any longer than 45 minutes. The food again is quite mediocre and some of my sides were missing because the communication didn't happen. That sides were all out and I do not get a substitution until I left the restaurant. Overall, the experience is fine. It's loud and it's fun. But I just wouldn't go here for a special meal. Visited the establishment in upon walking in it was packed! This place must be very popular. A friend suggested it to me because they said they have lots of options for different types of things and whatever kind of your mood you're in. Once looking at the menu I saw that this was true you have the choice between many different types of options depending on how you're feeling about eating that day. There was a call ahead seating weightless that my friend did so while we were there we got spots at the bar and had some bread there while we waited for a table when people were at the bar everyone was very friendly and we saw a lot of people eating chili around us. A lady said that they love the chili there and it's really good. We then got called to our table and went over to our table, as soon as that happened the table behind us had a birthday party so they brought out a horse saddle thing and the girls sat on it and they sing her a song. A few minutes later they all got in a line down on the floor next to us and they all started doing a Texas Roadhouse line dance thing, it was pretty fun! Our server was very nice and attentive. He gave great spacing in between delivering the meals and follow up. I got the chicken and my friend got the steak. I got a side salad and green beans which were both good he got fries which in my opinion I felt were a little dry but they weren't mine so no problem there. To be fair I'm also not really a steak fries type of person so I'm probably not the best judge of fries like that. Overall it was a great experience and definitely seems to be a popular choice amongst people. I think it is a good option for people to go if they want a variety. Oh yeah, the bread and butter was good it's like a cinnamon butter for the little rolls. Honestly very disappointed, I would give zero stars if I could. Food was horrible and I wish I never went. I didn't even bother finishing my food after a couple bites. Place was dirty. New napkin was already dirty and had left over food on the wall next to us. Even the bucket that has "peanuts" in it had food build up and was disgusting. Great service. Our server was Annon, he was great. Although, there were two girls in the front talking about me as soon as I came in and making it blatantly obvious. Hubby and I had Sunday dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It's his favorite place to get the fried pickles. He says theirs are really crispy. Anyway I went into the app to see if there was a wait and it said yes a 20 minute wait. I believed that because the parking lot was full. We went inside and there was no wait...don't believe the app. It took about 5 -10 minutes to be seated though. We ordered our drinks and got them...then we order appetizers...fried pickles. Our food order came pretty fast also.oh...the rolls came out fresh and warm. I ate two easily...delicious. In an effort to make my meal like a Sunday dinner at home I ordered fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and green beans. The tenders were seasoned well and tender in the inside crispy on the outside. The masked potatoes were flavorful and warm. Those green beans were seasoned with something that tasted medicinal...yuck y'all! Was that an imitation charcoal flavor? It was not to my liking at all. Everything else was tasty. I miss the days when they have the giant barrels full of peanuts and everyone just threw the shells on the floor. I once read that the oils from the shells preserved the wooden floors like a coat of stain. I guess COVID and the health department put an end to that practice. This is pretty much your standard run of the mill Texas Roadhouse. It is practically the same as every other one I've visited. Salads are great. Steaks are really good for the price point and always cooked perfectly. Rolls are served hot with that cinnamon honey butter making each one about 400 calories...don't eat too many lol! If you have more than six people here it's kind of a nightmare. So this place is not somewhere I'd recommend for groups, ever. And trust me, we've came with big groups lots of times. First of all, you're gonna wait 90-120 minutes for a party of 7 or more. Happens every time, even if you show up at 5. They also won't put your party on the list to be seated unless everyone is there. So it doesn't matter if you send someone early or get on the online waitlist...doesn't help. The biggest issue is they rotate seating assignments based on servers and areas. They really need to seat tables that can't accommodate groups first, and then the group spots last as there are pretty much two tiny areas for larger groups. But my best advice is just don't come with anymore than 4, 6 people at most. I had a free appetizer coupon one of the last few times I went...I never get appetizers otherwise. I got it, and they couldn't get it to work and wouldn't take it off my bill so I felt that was pretty bad as well. read more

Placed online order for pickup. Wife just came home with it. Missing loaded potato. Herb chicken was dark bordering burnt. Country fried sirloin was scorched. I don't mean dark brown. I mean black. So the steak was burnt then fried again. You can imagine the texture of the meat. Made one cut and all the breading crumbled off. Steak was completely dried out. I'll eat damn well anything with few complaints. Took one bite and tossed it. I never toss food. Did I mention I'm super cheap?! So yeah I don't dump any food. It was awful and between the missing potato, over cooked chicken and burnt steak the whole experience was awful. No one answering phone so also sent something online. Was a party of three. One ordered a steak, medium rare. When food arrived my guest said it tasted charred, but on top was obviously not. I asked to turn it over and there was a ~1/8" of char on the bottom of the steak itself! I would never serve a solid-black charred steak to a customer, let alone put the burnt to a crisp side down as if to hide it. Also, ordered 3 x servings of dessert. Waited, they sent a new server to bring the bag to go. Opened in the car before I left, and no dessert (just the one to-go order was in the bag). Went back in and met the manager (again!) she apologized and informed me they were out of it. She did refund the charge ($25) but OMG! is this the service you'd expect from a Texas Road House restaurant? I am never going back there again. Oh, and they don't even have the signature butter they are well-known for there at that location (or they told us they didn't). If there was a less than 1-star I would give it that! read more

Lilly was AMAZING!! I didn't particularly want to go to TRH because historically the service has been slow and it's usually very loud and overstimulating in there. The music was a good volume tonight, and our server Lilly was so helpful with keeping the vibes chill but fun! They gave amazing recommendations and WE NEVER RAN OUT OF BREAD OR BUTTER!!!! The rolls are always the best. Sometimes they can be smaller or not entirely golden brown but I will always tear some up. Majority of the time the service is really good! Sometimes there's hiccups but no one is perfect and it wouldn't stop me from going. I love the vibe in there it's family friendly and lively and fun for sure. Excellent experience here. Came to celebrate my mom's birthday and it did not disappoint. Luckily we beat the crowd since this location is very popular in the area. The rolls keep me coming back for more. The food is always good. Steaks cooked just right and service was awesome. Only reason I don't give it a 5 is the pesky reservation system. I get it. It's a way to control the flow in case you don't have enough staff. But walking up to a window, that may or may not be manned to then have to go inside and go back outside to wait even if it's 5 minutes is a nuisance. read more

But my god is it annoying. They crank the music full blast(I mean loud as f) and have staff dancing in the middle of the restaurant. I love this place but I'm thinking Saturdays are not for me. The manager at the front can be a bit abrupt and seems to not handle the stress of a busy crowd very well. This was our third time having problems with a takeout order, but this visit was by far the worst. My burger was made incorrectly and, more concerning, there was a sticky, squishy white substance inside the meat along with a hair. I became nauseated after biting into it and couldn't eat anything afterward. There was also confusion with pickup--my husband was told multiple times the order wasn't ready, only to find out it had been sitting there about 20 minutes, and the "order ready" notification didn't come until after he was home. We have overlooked mistakes in the past, but this experience was very upsetting. I cannot go back and I'll certainly be warning all my family. read more
