Worst steaks we have ever had! We ordered 11oz sirloin steaks from this place tonight for carry out. We both ordered them medium rare, but when we cut into them they were cooked past well done and they were as hard as a rock. No flavor and a bunch of fat. They both ended up in the trash and we had to make it work with our sides. You can honestly get a better steak at Golden Corral! We won't be back for sure!!! read more

Horrible! Been going there for close to twenty years and have seen the food and service go steadily down. We have gone back sparingly past few years in hopes of improvement. Wrong, tonight was a deal breaker to ensure we never go back. My order was not correct, I ordered shrimp and chicken, got a double order of shrimp. They took back half the shrimp and ordered my chicken. It finally came after we had finished eating. The baked potato was hard, so thumbs down there too because she couldn't be bothered to check on the quality of our meals. The rolls were good and the salad too. I was not offered a discount for such an unpleasant meal. I told the waitress I was upset and she shrugged her shoulders and said Nothing. i asked her why no one offered some solutions and she said there was no need to and asked me why I wanted such. First time trying this place. Went there with family members. I ordered a half sweet/ unsweetened tea and got a glass of water. After talking to waitress, finally got my drink correct. Ordered a steak medium rare and received on medium well ( see photo). Added shrimp and broccoli with cream cheese. Received my broccoli with shredded cheese and melted slightly. Was very dissatisfied with the service. Food was ok due to being hungry, but wouldn't recommend this place or return. For the most part, the food is good. If I want a steak, I rowdier Logan's over Long Horn in this area, but the last time I ordered it took over 50 mins to get it. It was ordered rare and I ordered a salad. It was actually a special day for me so I decided to treat myself which doesn't happen often and I was so disappointed. The steak wasn't rare and actually tasted weird. My salad was bad, meaning wilted and bad veggies. My mistake, I ordered the brew onions and didn't realize they were Sautéed versus beer battered and they were gross to me. I will I order again, not if isn't good bedtime I'll move elsewhere because $24.00 for a single meal is too much for you to almost want to throw it away. read more

Ate here for the first time. The food was excellent as was the service. I had the 8 oz sirloin with sautéed mushrooms with onions. The food was cooked to perfection. The only recommendation that I can give is to provide honey butter instead or along side the regular butter. Place had adequate seating and ample parking. Would highly recommend. read more

We immediately asked for a manager and to get some heat as it was frigid. 20 min after we were seated we finally got our 5 waters and 2 sodas. 22 min before we got to place our order. 40 min to get rolls. 1 hour into our visit, still no food. No refills. No heat on a day where temp outside is 25*. Just want my salad and bill. Food finally arrived. Ribs drowning in cold sauce. Fries cold. Got a round of refills after a full hour had passed. Never got any heat. 1 hour, 51 min., the check arrives. I am adding this location to places to avoid. read more

We used to love Logan. At the time it was the best around until longhorn steakhouse came to Garner. It is best. Last experience at Logans I ordered a ribeye which tasted bad I mean like the meat old. I sent it back and they brought me a new one and it tasted the same so they sent the manager over to me and he apologize. But he Insisted on giving me a new ribeye but it was notGood. I said nothing else and we left but I never finished that. We tried other dishes and they were never the same. Somethings changed. After a very tough year, I decided to take my family out for dinner tonight. A very rare occasion for us. I expect to receive decent service and good food but received neither tonight. Everything started off right but went down hill after placing our order. Our meal took forever to come out. My husbands steak was severely undercooked. They put another one on for him only to be just as bad for the second steak. I also placed a to-go order and our server said she would put it in as soon as we received our meal, instead it came out at the same time our meal came out. With the additional wait time for another steak and having to wait for a manager, the food was already cold. I spoke to the manager who graciously agreed to remove the steak dinner since it wasn't eaten, however after reviewing the check I noticed that the waitress didn't ring the to-go order correctly so we checked the container. Once the manager returned I pointed out the problem and she had the nerve to ask me what will it take to resolve this for me and them. What? I told her to remake the wrong side dish but am fuming that there was no offer to remake the whole order or refund since the food had already been sitting there for 40 min. YES I could have told them to take it off the ticket but I shouldn't have to. They have no idea the sacrifice it was for me to offer this night out to my family and how frustrating it was for me to have my night ruined by their lack of responsibility. If I could I would not give the one star!!! The restaurant had only been open almost an hour and we were looked over for about 10 minutes. I seen two waitresses in the bar area one working the other walking in circles!!! The one that was working then came down to us to seat us. Why I didn't turn around then and leave but we sat down ...ugh 2nd sign to leave was once the waitress finally came she took our drink orders and came back with bread that was hard as Dammmmnnnn bricks!!! The waitress said I didn't want y'all to think i couldn't make it out but she kept saying something mumbling her words. I asked for sweet tea was given unsweetened tasted horrible I then got water and we never received refills. I understand busy and sometimes you must ask for things but this was different. The appetizer Crispy onions were cold and greasy. Only thing good were the salads. 3rd Several people came in after us and got their entrees before we received our food!!! 4th Both steaks should have been medium well, one was correct the other was well done. The waitress tried to dispute it saying that the steak was correct I then showed her mine which was correct. She didn't say anything just took the steak Never offered another one or other options. I won't give my patron ever again...sometimes you have to go with your gut!!! Logan's is usually always packed so my mom and I opt to find seats at the bar which we are usually successful at. I think that Logan's is a decent place to get a steak in the Garner area. The food is always good but my favorite would have to be those delicious rolls with butter! My one complaint: at these types of restaurants you can throw your peanut shells on the ground but I would recommend sweeping them up throughout the day so it does not look like you have not cleaned the floor in days. read more

You know, I can't always put my finger on why I don't go to Logan's more often. It's not that the food is bad. Quite the contrary. It's usually prepared and seasoned well. The chicken here is above average, even if the steaks are standard fare. The drinks are good. Roadhouse iced teas (with an extra bit of alcohol) are good---at least according to my wife. The tea is strong and sweet. Plus, you can throw your peanut shells on the floor, which is always a fun experience. I think the general thing that keeps me from coming back is the atmosphere of the place. It just doesn't feel welcoming or comfortable to me. The staff is competent, but not particularly notable. A friend and I ordered steaks thinking it was going to be a huge hit! Instead it ended up being a huge disappointment. To begin, the caesar salad was ultra warm and runny. I tried to send it back but location of our waitress was a challenge - and a challenge visibly to other tables waiting on drinks. Next the steak came out completely dry and cold - and I mean no warmth what so ever. I sent back the steak, with reservation because service seemed a bit lacking. I received a recooked Ribeye steak that was over-seasoned with lots of fat. At least the manager (I think it was because he didnt introduce himself) waived my portion of the bill. Overall this is my third visit to this location. My mom will not return because her food in her own words was "too dry and leathery" and "the staff doesnt seem to care". Sadly I agree with her words. Logans has much promise if the kitchen and wait staff connected a bit more by showing interest in its product. Otherwise some nice alternatives within walking distance from this location. read more

I don't make a habit of reviewing chain restaurants, just because there's already a dearth of reviews on each of them and I frankly don't enjoy eating at them often. I do have to say, however, that I've developed an appreciation for Logan's Roadhouse. The service is always at least acceptable, and the food is good. I particularly enjoy their chicken dishes, the chicken & rice soup, and their baked apples. The yeast rolls are always hot & tasty. The steaks are usually decent for a chain restaurant as well, and the prices are on par with what I'd expect. $8 pitchers of Natty Greene's didn't influence my rating at all. I swear. Okay, maybe it influenced it just a little. Logan's does always have great drink specials, which I certainly appreciate. Cheap pitchers, cheap pints, and good food add up to an excuse to have dinner and a couple beers with friends. In all honesty, I'd probably give them a 3.5, but I'll let the fact that I can't work in their favor. As far as chains in the Garner area go, I'd have to say this is one of my favorites. read more

Ate lunch here yesterday with my sister. Pretty good lunch crowd, and everything was very good. I got the teriyaki chicken with rice pilaf, which I had never tried before, and I have to say, it was delicious. I got the sweet potato with it, and it comes with a salad. The salad was huge, and our server seemed very eager to please. She brought us refills before we asked, and kept stopping by to see if we needed anything. The food was about average. Ribs were literally "fall off the bone" and tasty, sautéed mushrooms had no flavor, steak was cooked properly and was ok. Service was bare minimum. Our waitress took our order, and another server delivered the food. She did not know the beer menu. Asked about the local and seasonal beers - she didn't know. The place was dirty. Blinds and light fixture in our booth was coated with dust, cobwebs in the window. And the peanut shells on the floor - I know that's "a thing" and I guess the health Dept is ok with it, but it's a turn off for me. 1st time at a Logan's Roadhouse as we were unfamiliar with establishment and food. I liked the atmosphere as it was a large seating area but not a fan of all the peanuts & shells all over the floor, it's not necessary imho. We were greeted with friendly quick service and introduced to the menu by our waiter after stating it was our 1st time there which I thought was cool. Our beverages were joined by hot sweet buns with butter which were really good, but sinful. Our lunch orders came with a decent size iceberg lettuce salad with cheese, bacon,tomato and onion on top. I tried the catfish ( had to be baked , no grease with cornbread coating) which was good in size and only needed the lemon...skip the sauce. Sweet potato comes with butter & sugar on top already in case your watching your figure. The queen had the sirloin steak which was good but did not match up to Longhorn. I just realized I've never reviewed this place. Probably because we normally get our meals To Go; they have one of those To Go setups where you can call in your order, wait about 15 minutes then drive up to the To Go side of the restaurant and they'll bring your food out to the car to you, so we use that when we want a big hearty meal at home, but don't want to cook or get out of our pajamas. :-) In any case the Salads are meals within themselves, and the Baby Back Ribs are excellent. We've also had steaks, Burgers, and Mesquite Grilled Salmon and Shrimp, and all have been very good. Most of the time we'll get a Full Rack of Ribs ($15.99) and a huge Roadhouse Salad ($6.99-$9.49) and share them at home between 2 of us. Its always plenty of good food. We did have dinner in the restaurant once to celebrate a birthday, and it was a good time! Everyone ordered Steak and Rib or Shrimp combos and was happy with their meals. Service was very good and they serve some very tasty alcohol laden "Roadhouse Teas" in Mason Jar glasses that have quite a kick! I went here last night for dinner with friends and I must say, I've had better. I ordered the chicken fried chicken tenders dinner, sweet potato fries, and cinnamon apples, and my husband ordered some kind of steak, mashed potatoes, and steamed veg. When my chicken tenders came out, I though they looked funny, and my first bite tasted strangely of fish/seafood (something I STRONGLY dislike). I had my husband taste the next bite and he agreed it had a fishy taste. The tenders were kind of naked in parts (patchy breading, you could see a yellow- colored seasoning on the chicken) and overall I've had better chicken tenders at a fast food place than the ones I had here, and for less. I probably should have sent them back and asked for a replacement. My cinnamon apples were a joke. There were a few cubes of canned apples floating in a dish of cinnamon flavored syrup. Ugh! My husband said his steak wasn't that great and he had a few pieces of RAW broccoli in his steamed veg. The best part of the meal , to be honest, was dessert, . I downloaded yelp just to say do yourself a favor and don't eat here. I ordered a sirloin steak meal, two sides, and crispy onion app. The app was a big ball of soggy onion straws with some parts crispy but most extremely soggy and underwhelming. The steak was way over cooked from rare, the waiter noticed and took it back. The second one a man from the kitchen brought it and asked if i would cut it to ensure it was rare. The center looked Pittsburgh blue which I was okay with but anything from the center was well done. I didnt want to send it back again so I ended up eating two bites both were cold, took one from the center and the other from the edge. The appetizer that was sitting out for 30 mins was still warmer than my steak that just left the kitchen. To top it all off, I am convinced I maybe have food poisoning from something out of that kitchen. Fortunately the waiter could tell I was not satisfied with the food and took it off the bill, and he was extremely kind about it. I have been to Logan's many times and really loved it, the service and the food. BUT today at lunch everything was a disaster! The potato soup had so much salt I couldn't eat it. I ordered fries with my sandwich, the fries were not done at all, the bread on my sandwich was burnt around the edges. The servers just seemed a little tense. Logans roadhouse is definitely one of a kind, you walk in and the waitress seats you and the first thing you'll notice is there peanut shell's all over the floor. On your first visit the though of just throwing your shell's on the floor might seem odd but trust me its cool. That's there gimmick, eat a peanut throw the shells on the floor now on to the food. I came in with a friend who was ranting about wanting logan's ...now I don't have a problem with logan's I just don't eat there much. Buth the food ain't half bad, I ordered the coastal carolina shrimp(grilled ) . It came with wild rice and a couple of choices of side's but I just went with the baked potato and the table split a pitcher of beer. The shrimp was cooked well and nicely flavor, the baked potato was great too. The only deal breaker was the rice is could have been better other then that everything was fine. Logan's may not be at the top of my foodies to-do list but its definitely on it. read more
