So despite all the bad reviews, we wanted to try Logan's tonight because we had a coupon and we love steak. We regretted it. The menu is extremely small. Everything is paired with a seafood. I'm assuming you can ask for without? Not sure. We are thinking that they gave us the specials menu and never the real menu? Very confusing. The service was very good. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The bread was delicious. The food is bad. Our appetizer was the crispy crab cakes. They came out so dark which means the oil was too hot when they put them in the fryer and the insides were cooked but on the verge of being undercooked. You needed a lot of the zesty sauce to make these better. The onion straws underneath the crab cakes were delicious. My sons ribs and rice kids meal was huge and he loved it. My husband and I both got the roadhouse surf and turf meal. My husband's medium rare steak was extremely tough on the outside but the middle was the right color though the steak was extremely dry. My medium well steak was extremely charred. I know medium well should be cooked more but it didn't have to be so tough. Our shrimps were gross. They were fishy and dry. Just not enjoyable. I was craving a nice steak and mushrooms today so despite the low rating on Yelp, I decided to give Logan's a try. First, the front door is kind of a hike from the parking lot (unless I came in through a different door). But it was great to be greeted by such a friendly staff. I forgot the server's name, but he was a pleasure with the helping of placing my to go order. I decided to go with a NY strip, what I thought were sautéed mushrooms, and a loaded bake potato. I rushed to get home to enjoy my food only to find the below. The steak was seasoned well, however, it was tough. After looking at the menu again, I see that there was miscommunication in my order placing. I thought I was ordering sautéed mushrooms, but I got the grilled mushroom skewers. These mushrooms looked like they were going through the struggle! The loaded bake potato was great. Maybe today was an off day, but I am willing to give Logan's another try. Always good food and great service. I got a kid named Charles who was training on this rainy Saturday, but he did a decent job. I've been here about 5-6 times and the food is always good. I especially love the rolls! They are always the best appetizers to me. I've never had the flaming onion or whatever they call it, but Someday I'll try it. For the time being I fill up on the rolls! Everyone at the table got steaks and I think steaks are boring to photograph and everyone I was with was over 50 so I'm sure it would have been awkward trying to take pictures of the food on their plates. Logan's Roadhouse is A-OK. It meets expectations which is to say you get a decent meal at a reasonable price. We used to go to this Logan's more often back when our daughter was growing up. Whenever we would do some shopping Manassas sometimes dinner would be here. It has been years since we went here. The menu has changed somewhat---no more Chatahootchie cheese fries, which were Logan's take on Outback's Aussie cheese fries. We got here just before 5 p.m. on a Saturday and already they were busy. It took about 20 minutes before we were seated. It seems that they weren't fully staffed in the front of the house at that hour. So it was a matter of having more servers on hand before everybody could get seated. To drink, I tried their take on a whiskey sour which uses their own sour mix. Truth be told, it wasn't that good---a strong drink but on the bitter side. My husband had an O'Douls. I had the southwestern bbq chicken. This dish consists of a thin boneless, skinless chicken breast that's topped with a bbq sauce that's on the spicy side plus melted mild cheddar cheese and some fresh tomato pieces. For my 2 sides I chose a grilled vegetable skewer and loaded mac & cheese. The chicken was a bit overcooked but still tasty. The veggies were well grilled and consisted of red onions, zucchini, tomatoes and button mushrooms. I liked the loaded mac & cheese as it had a generous portion of cheese and ample bacon bits on top. Thankfully, the side portion was small. My husband had the 9 oz. filet. We noticed that now when you order a steak at Logan's, the server asks you to cut into it right away when it comes to your table. This is done to make sure that it is cooked the way you ordered. Actually, this is a good idea. If the steak isn't properly prepared, it can get corrected more quickly this way. He thought that his filet was okay but said that Outback has better quality steak. For his sides, he got a garden salad and a baked potato. The baked potato was on the small side, which was fine as it was properly prepared. Before the tip, dinner cost $46 + change. I was hanging out with a buddy who happens to live out there and was in the mood for a steak. He whipped out a coupon and 15 minutes later we arrived and were seated. The decor is standard chain steak house. They gave complementary peanuts which are always appreciated. The rolls are also very good and apparently famous. Lol I ordered the ribeye, and maybe it's been awhile since I've had a proper steak but it was pretty damn good. There was some seasoning and there was some charing which added to the flavor. I was also a huge fan of the grilled veggies. It seemed like they brushed some Italian dressing or something similar while grilling which further enhances the flavor. My buddy had gotten the rack of ribs and they were fall off the bone. He was very happy with the quality. Decided to pickup a decent meal for dinner. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. They weren't busy so that wasn't an excuse as many employees were standing around. I had paid extra for onions for my steak, but they were missing. I paid extra for a loaded sweet potato which was soggy from sitting in juice from the steak as it wasn't wrapped separately. I've tried eating here a handful of times (since it's close to home) and the service is really awful. We purposefully go during slower hours and there are always many members of the waitstaff gossiping loudly at the entrance of the kitchen, but it's never taken less than 15 minutes for one to break off from the group and greet the table or take a drink order. I'm not exaggerating when I say the waitstaff often outnumber the customers in the restaurant on these visits. The last 2 times we have just gotten up and left after about ten minutes. It's always different servers and some visits have been more than a year apart, so I imagine this problem is due to consistently poor management. Food is typically pretty good. We continue to have the same server with terrible customer service. We never got out appetizer, but he wouldn't know bc he never checked on the table. I ordered a sirloin steak with a baked potato and salad, to come out together with my meal. 5 minutes after placing the order it arrived at the table, no problem since we were sitting outside- the flies had a wonderful appetizer. Once we got our main order, my husbands was fine. My steak that was supposed to be medium was rare, actually closer to blue. I wasn't able to tell the "server" that bc he never came back to the table to check on us, ask us if we needed anything, etc. It was 9:15pm with a closeting of 11pm, it was not busy. It was our table of 2 and a table of 6. I didn't eat one bite of the steak, I asked for a box so I cook my own dinner once I got home. He laughed and said he gave me 25% off the steak, which was about 2.47$. Which was nice, I guess. Everything was a joke to him. Laughed at the end of the meal when I told him we didn't get the appetizer and that my steak was raw. His "customer service" was actually making me angry with all his casualties. This was our first time at Logan's Roadhouse and we are not coming back. We had decent service aside from the waitress blatantly forgetting to get my cider from the bar, but I got it 15 minutes later- it happens. I was honestly more upset with the staff in the back for her, she checked back to make sure our food was out but mine and a child's meal did not come until 10 minutes after everyone else's. My major issue was the way the food tasted... I had a standard cheese burger and it was like eating a salt block. Not only that but immediately after eating my stomach was upset and remained that way for hours. My boyfriend had the triple platter and son had the filet and shrimp. Logan's Roadhouse has been around for a long time. It's right off the main drag through Manassas on Route 234 close to Manassas Mall. I find this place like a blast from the past - with the mediocre quality that was known for those long forgotten steakhouses from back in the day. Remember Western Sizzlin's? The old Golden Corrals (before it was buffet), Sizzler and Steak and Ales? That's the quality you get here. The atmosphere is most definitely country/western. Peanut shells, loud music and neon lights. The best part of this restaurant is the bar. Plenty of TV screens and a full service selection on of beer, wine and spirits make this a perfect location for meeting people of similar interests. Simply put, although the steaks are ok, the food here is not going to wow you. If you opt for an alternative item, expect something of ordinary quality with lots of sodium. The free bread is always a plus, but the bread is just ordinary dinner rolls with butter. Service was fine, and the restrooms were clean enough, but it's a "roadhouse" so I guess you should expect too much in this category. Just an all around 3 star restaurant that is fine if you are just hungry and not looking for something of better than average quality. read more

This is one of our favorite steakhouses. You must avoid weekends after 7 or there is a bit of a wait. During the summer, there is plenty of outside seating, and the restaurant is on the waster, which is a nice addition. There is a decent sized waiting area. It's a little loud, but there is a bar area as soon as you walk in, and a juke box that pipes music throughout the restaurant. The lighting is a bit dim, making it somewhat challenging to read the menu. The booths are extremely small and slightly uncomfortable....being 5'10 already makes seating a challenge. While waiting for your order, you are provided with yeast rolls and butter (my weakness). My daughter loves ordering from the side menu. The loaded baked potato, and grilled vegetables are always tasty and amazing. Though they are technically a steak house, I now avoid their steak because it honestly is rarely cooked right.
