Came here for a car loan, Logix was recommended highly by our family members. It has great interest rates compared to bigger institutions. From the moment I walked in, they were so welcoming and friendly. There are financial service representatives near the front to help direct you and find the right person for you to speak with. I worked with Eddie who was awesome and understood our unique situation. He gave me various options for what we could do. He was flexible, patient, and very informative. He followed up quickly with us as well. We just received a handwritten thank you card from him which made us very happy. It's the little unexpected things that contribute to great customer service! Thank you Eddie! Overall, I was pleased by my first credit union experience and would consider Logix in the future for our other needs. My only issue so far is that the website is kind of confusing and it does not show the car loan auto pay that I had set up. I was able to chat with someone online to confirm that it is actually set up but they said I won't be able to see it on their website which I found a little odd. read more

I think Logix is a fine for a credit union but, as banking institutions go, my expectations aren't that high. Their branches are well staffed and convenient for me, and the hours are far and above more accommodating than other financial institutions. It appears that they also treat their employees well, which makes me want to support them. In fact, I've stuck with them for so long, despite things that really bug me, that I've started to wonder if I suffer from Stockholm syndrome. I think Logix is a great place to bank your money. But for day-to-day transactions, I'm migrating out. They have lots of issues. Their app is wonky and doesn't work well or consistently which, in this day and age, is ridiculous. For several years, I was depositing several checks from tenants. They were the same amount and the app wouldn't let you see which ones had loaded properly so, inevitably, I accidentally deposited one more than once--which, it appears, other Yelp reviewers have also done. Suddenly, you're on the blacklist because you're obviously trying to get away with something by not being able to second-guess their crappy app--not to mention that it cost me money. When you query them, the people at the teller level are very friendly and helpful. Yet the management I've dealt with have been very defensive and will accept responsibility for nothing. Last year I traveled to Jordan, which was amazing btw. I put in a travel alert with Logix, yet I get there and my card doesn't work. I was able to get on the chat feature and was told that my card was blocked because Jordan is a banned country. "Well, it's an ally of the US and you let me put the travel alert on my card," I say... "It's a blocked country." Long story short, it's not a blocked country and, eventually, after several expensive calls, I was able to get it resolved--just what you want to be doing instead of sightseeing... Also, there's this guy named Drew at the Pasadena branch who is incredibly condescending to women. On several occasions I've heard him mansplaining to female customers and, one day I saw him berate a teller and made her cry. I mentioned it to management and he's still doing it, so that speaks volumes. read more

I've been with this bank since I was in the second grade and have even opened accounts with other banks because I was young and didn't know any better. Currently, I do all my banking with Logix because they treat you like family. When I call the customer service line, majority of the time, someone picks up right away! Whenever I come to visit, there's always someone to help me out right away (there's complimentary coffee!!) and my financial advisor has even come in on a weekend that he does not work to help me with saving options. It's a no-brainer, people say that credit unions are great and I might be bias but I think logix is the best. PARKING ======= Logix has their own lot right behind the building on Shoppers Lane, next to the Green Street restaurant. It's super small and it has an old school parking bar so it should be easy to fine. You park there first, then ask for a token in the bank when you're leaving. read more

I love this credit union. They are on Lake Street in Pasadena. They have their own parking lot behind the bank. They will give you a token to get out, so you dont have to pay. They are very friendly and helpful. When you call them, an actual person will pick up vs a computer system. I was introduced to this bank by a guy, who worked there. I dumped him,but kept the bank:) I have several accounts with them saving/checking/IRA. I have gotten 3 car loans and a home loan. It is such an easy process to apply online or via phone. I received my approval in 1 hour. I also used their Auto Expert (Jeff Grosz), where it is a convenient/hassle free car buying service. I get the loan from this bank. I contacted the Auto Expert with the car I want. Auto Expert will appraise my current car via phone (same appraisal as dealership and carmax). I take my old car to the branch and my new car is there waiting for me. They will take away my old vehicle and will complete the DMV paperwork for me.The exchange of car/loan documents are easy as 1 2 3. The price is better than AAA vehicle pricing.I keep buying a car yearly because it is so easy and fun. You get lots of freebies (free checking, free check, rebate ATM surcharge, higher certificate rate, good divident)). They also have a financial consultant/adviser onsite. They have been voted the best credit union for 11 years in a row.Their customer service is exceptional and their rate is unbeatable. I have introduced many people to this bank as they are awesome. This is the best credit union! I have been a member for many years, including when they were exclusively a credit union for Lockheed employees and their families. I typically visit the Newbury Park branch but went to the Pasadena branch today due to settling my father's estate with my half sisters who are not members. Tony Juárez helped us, and he went out of his way, demonstrating a great deal of patience, competence, and putting us at ease right away with his kind demeanor. He was so gracious. Jimmy Maldonado also spent time with us, even though we didn't have an appointment with him, explaining different options in a clear way and setting up next steps to accommodate my half sisters who live far away. Took a half day off work to schedule a 1.5 hour appointment with one of their loan officers, Chris. We told Chris we wanted to discuss our options as possible first time home buyers because it seemed as though it was turning into a buyer's market. He looked at us blankly like he had no idea. I asked him specifically whether he knew if prices were coming down, and he said that we had more information about that than he did. Really. Someone at a bank said this. We gave him a general overview of our financial situation, and asked him what he'd advise. His gems were about doing what's right for us. We could've read his advice from Hallmark cards. He speak unless prompted with a specific question. And extracting anything from him was like pulling teeth. The meeting was only 10 minutes long because Chris provided absolutely no information unless prompted with a specific question. And the response was so vague and uninformed as to be nearly useless. Honestly, if the bank doesn't want to provide first time home buyers with a conversation to discuss options, they shouldn't confirm these appointments. They should tell people that the best thing for buyers to do is figure it out themselves from the internet. When we left, I was furious -- if I wanted generic information, I would've googled it. I told my spouse that if we had sat down with a tree stump, we would've gotten just as much information as we had gotten from Chris. read more

If ever make an honest mistake with your payment, regardless of having really good credit for many years prior, don't expect any leniency from them. They will report you and use the "by the book" response with no flexibility to help you. UPDATE 5/14/18: So I did respond to the rep who followed up in my review. She was very nice and did try to look into this further to see if she could help. But in the end, it was the same response that there was nothing that they could do. I asked for a "Goodwill Adjustment" since I've never missed a payment prior to this for any of my accounts for many years (the missed payment amount was less than $50 which I paid immediately along with the entire remaining balance on the same day to show that I was trying to be honest and fair). They didn't even consider it. and just cited the obligation to report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and left it at that. There goes my score after years of hard work. Not much grace from this place so think twice before you sign up with them. I hope this doesn't happen to you. read more

Not a very friendly Credit Unit - customer service is very cold - rates are not always the best. Generally very little service and/or financial services available. Worse yet, the ATM branch has been hijacked for nearly two months and they [ the manager] did not know putting customers at risk. They recently contacted me stated my card will be replaced because of the ATM hijack I am shopping for an alternative credit union , once I do find a better more professional union , I am gone. read more

Priscilla Gonzalez at the Pasadena office has given me the best service that I have had at any financial institution in years. Logix in general is a wonderful credit union and has some of the best rates in town. I have officially refinanced all my loans (2 vehicle loans and a personal loan) and obtained a credit card with my husband that we can utilize this as our main account for our finances. I can rest assured now that we have everything in one place that it will not be difficult to navigate our finances should something happen to either of us. That being said, with 4 loans to complete and lots of paperwork to provide Priscilla was patient and extremely on top of everything. She followed up constantly, addressed all my concerns, and went above and beyond every step of the way. She is truly the epitome of what dealing with a financial institution should be. I truly cannot thank her enough. She is the reason my husband and I moved all of our business to Logix, and we truly don't regret it. It is hard to find a good financial institution nowadays and even harder to find someone who enjoys working for a company and provides amazing service. I used to be so happy with Logix but I have been so very unhappy with them lately. Random charges, poor service, bad communication. It just keeps getting worse and worse. And during a pandemic when people are struggling. I got behind on credit card payments and they just up and closed my credit card account without telling me and after promising me that I caught up in enough time to keep it open. They turn courtesy pay and auto-pay off and on at random and all of their technology is really sad. It feels like I'm back at one of the big banks that have no qualms about stealing money from people and calling it a "service fee". Then they send you emails about all the new branches they are opening. I cannot wait to switch credit unions. read more

Being a proud member for over 20 years. The overall atmosphere has never changed, supportive, reliable and resourceful. Four years ago we need liquidity when my daughter started undergrad, I was recommended to take out an IO HELOC, it was the best suggestion. When we were planning to get a used car last year, we were suggested not to, and for sure we don't need an extra car while now we basically don't go out. When most of the Banks are limited to their customers during early pandemic lockdown, the Logix Branch on Lake Ave still opens for business. I was going to wait till my loan actually closed to write this but after one too many bs moves from them, I have to write. I have to alert and warn anyone thinking of doing business with them. I went to a credit union to get a mortgage mistakenly thinking they would be less red-tape, corporate, cold. I also came here because of the glowing Yelp reviews. I was very very wrong. I will start by giving the reason why there is 1-star before sharing all the other negatives of this bank: My husband and I are boring, W-2, 10+year in a job kind of employees so paperwork to submit was quick and easy. We got our approval quickly, we got close to closing documents quickly before the following took place: Without divulging super personal information, I found myself to be in a position where I could no longer buy the home with my husband (you can fill in the story here). I told my loan officer that this is a really unfortunate situation that I did not want to be in but shit happens so now I no longer have the 20% down because my husband and I were going to go in on the downpayment 50/50 and therefore, I didn't want to buy the house anymore because it would be a financial burden for me. My loan officer's reply was we're very sorry but it looks like you can still qualify on your own. Me: Like, how? You want me to draw from my retirement funds and pay penalties? LO: (this is not verbatim but the gist is there) We don't want you to but we do not take into account any penalties you have to pay when deciding whether to decline or not. We just base it on whether you can qualify and you do. Me: Again, if I withdraw from my retirement accounts? LO: Yes Logix did not seem to care nor appreciate a person with financial sense and responsibility. Thank goodness we were already buying a home that was well under our affordability amount cause I'm sure they would have stuck me with the largest loan they can get me to take on! After playing around with 5% down, 10% down, with payments that are too large for me to want to handle, I had no choice but to find a way to get the 20% down on my own. (I won't disclose here how it happened but I will say my hand was definitely forced). So at this point, I decide I should just continue with them even though I loathe them for forcing me to take on this loan. I figured, they already have all of my paperwork, everything has been checked out, I just want this to hurry up and be done with. I mean, yes, they had to redraw docs without my husband's name but all the checking that went into the 1st go-around should save you time for the 2nd time with me alone right? WRONG. They wouldn't decline me so I can get out of buying the home but they also wouldn't speed up the pace to get the loan done. The processor was not communicative and today, when finding out why they needed to reset the closing date to another 30 days, she emails to say I didn't provide her a piece of document. Well, damn, I wish you would have told me you needed something from me! Within 5 minutes of that email, I sent her what she needed. I really disagree with a bank who finds it acceptable to get borrowers to withdraw from their retirement accounts in order to make purchases of any sort. I find this unethical and if ethics matters to you, you should not do any business with them. If I could get out of this loan, I would. read more

First of all I want to concur with the rest of the great reviews I read as I was preparing to write this one. When I first heard about Logix, I was looking for an auto loan. I was told by a close friend of mine, whose opinion I value highly, to head over to Logix and see if I could get approved. So I did. I went to the Woodland Hills Branch by Victory and Canoga and met a representative there named Sabrina. Now, let me mention that the vibe I got from the associates was absolutely positive and I felt that they were honestly eager to help me out. Although my girlfriend had a good credit score, I did not; my credit was horrible and actually, still is right now. Unfortunately, we were not able to get approved for a loan there because they would have to charge us a high interest rate and they don't like to do business like that. Very respectable and understandable. Now, I am a very skeptical person and do not trust financial institutions at all. However, in the time I spent at Logix, although I brought my then-7 year old son, I felt very accommodated and was given good advice on how to bring my credit up, which I appreciated very much. I knew that I wanted to do business with these people in that moment. So I opened a bank account with them, and so did my girlfriend. I was coming from on online banking account with another credit union, but they had no actual branches. She was coming from Chase, who had actually had her Saving Account get charged monthly until there was nothing left, without her knowledge. Not very good places. Anyways, I opened a Checking Account and a Savings account and so did my girlfriend. I later opened a Secured Credit Card to increase my credit score with Logix, who were very understanding and helpful through the process. We eventually went to a dealership, which is one of the worst decisions I've made in my life but had no choice at the time, and we got a very bad loan with a very bad rate and we were not happy at all. I didn't feel like I liked the car at all, and almost resented it for having to pay such high interest. It's just not a good feeling. We went back to Logix after 6 months with the bad loan, just to see if we could get approved after having done a couple of things to improve our credit, but were denied again. We were told that we should wait for an year to pass, then try again. For 12 months, we paid more than the minimum payment so that we could try to pay the least amount in interest as possible. As an year had passed, we went back to Logix and tried to re-apply for the loan. By this time, we had moved to a different city near Pasadena. So we went to the Logix Branch in Pasadena. Now, they encourage you to make an appointment ahead of time, however, it's not necessarily required. You may just have to wait to be attended after the members who actually made appointments. I didn't make one. Yet, I got the same great vibe from the Woodland Hills Branch, and we even got a free cup of coffee which you could prepare yourself. We waited for a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes, wasn't really that long, and were introduced to Chris Tucker. Here's where things start to get better. Chris introduced himself, asked us what we were there for, and then listened to my story. As soon as I finished, I knew that he was a very genuine guy, and friendly. He made the process very easy and did most of the work for us. Because we had been proactive and paid more and did so for an entire year, and we also had credit card accounts with them, we were able to finally get approved. Thank God. And you know what? Chris says, "You guys get a little lower rate because one of your birthdays just passed." That's when I knew who I was going to be getting auto loans from for the rest of my life. Super low interest rate, like nothing pretty much. He got the paperwork ready and we just signed the dotted lines. He also helped us get a refund on the GAP coverage we had purchased from the dealership and offered BETTER GAP coverage for a lower price. Yup. This place is off the charts, guys. We also had the opportunity of meeting Wonde, who gave us some great advice after I asked him how long I should wait before considering trading in my car for a new one. They have free ATM access at every 7/11. With the correct qualifications, you get no fees on pretty much everything in terms of having a checking and savings account. I've recommended two people, one of which ended up getting an auto loan and the other got re-financed, like myself. I got $50 per person almost like the day after they signed the deal. Come to Logix and see how they can help you. I now drive my car and I love it, and feel calm because I know I'm not getting charged down on interests rates. 5 stars for Logix, well deserved. read more

I have been a Logix customer for 7 years (before it was called Logix). I have always had a good experience; that is up until recently. Last month I had the rudest experience ever from the Branch Manager at the Pasadena location. I purposefully waited a month before writing this review so that I could make sure that I was level-headed when writing. I had an issue one of the two checks that I wanted to deposit, so the teller (a nice lady) asked the Branch manager came over to assist. The BM told me that I could not deposit one of my checks. I wasn't happy about that, and I protested, but I did understand and hence relented. After all, there are rules. Here is where the "fun" started. Still not happy, but understanding the situation, I said, "ok fine, you win, I'll just deposit the 2nd check that is acceptable and that will be all for today." You would think that would be the end. No sir. This guy jumped up onto the power-trip truck. He became condescending, and he wouldn't let me speak. He kept talking over me; trying to bully me and lecture me on why he declined the first transaction. Really? We are past that man, onto the part where I can deposit the check that is ok and leave. Now at this point, I am not only frustrated by how poorly the 1st transaction didn't go, but I now had to listen to him go on and on justifying his first decision. I had to repeat three or four times, "Sir, I got it. I understand. Please don't badger me anymore." Well, I must have bruised his mighty ego, because he offered to close all my accounts right there on the spot and have me leave "his branch" never to come back. And for what? For asking him to please stop lecturing me? Wow. Re-cap: so, it went from 1) I can't help you to 2) I'm going to talk over you Mr. Customer no matter what you say or do, to 3) if you don't like all of my pomp and bravado, then you can leave forever and there is nothing that you can do about it. So what did I do? I left, with no transaction and I immediately called their customer service hotline, registered a complaint, and left my name & contact information. The result? Nothing. Logix' silence says more than anything about how they treat customers. No phone call back from corporate. Not even the obligatory email saying that they were sorry for any "misunderstandings". Now as to me; am I 100% proud of the way I acted? Maybe, maybe not. But, I was mad. What do you expect? If I wanted to feel like being treated as if I was a 7-year old school girl, then I could have endured the mouthy BM's pushiness. But at some point, you must stand up for yourself. Now, I know that companies don't really care about this type of feedback. but I DON'T FORGET these things; I remember how I was treated.
