The seating area has half booth half table and the only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because we prefer full booths. The small metal chairs are uncomfortable for us. There's a little bit of an identity crisis inside but if you can get past that, the chop salad was fresh and loaded with toppings, the tomato basil soup was delivered with a balsamic flourish on top, and service was solid. We had the Grilled Cheese (3 different cheeses), French onion soup and the Yardbird sandwich. We also had the homemade potato chips too. My wife said it was the best grilled cheese she has ever had! Wow this place is a whole vibe with big bold flavors to match. Rockabilly, 50's diner, and buddy holly are words that come to mind. I had the Ruben and lemon dill potato salad. Very good but heads up it's a German style potato salad. We shared the kicked up chips vol 2 and wow so much flavor. My wife had the mob boss and it was the better sandwich of the too. Lola's is another one of those accidental finds that turned out to be a treasure! We were looking for a brunch place and happened across Lola's while we were at Walgreens. We love trying new places so we decided to give it a try since it was right next door. What a find! They serve brunch on the weekends until 2, and they have an amazing menu for brunch and lunch - it was so hard to choose!! We ended up with a B.E.L.T. (Bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato) and the breakfast tacos. The BELT was beyond yummy - served on homemade sourdough bread that was to die for. It was so good I had to order a loaf of the bread before we left! The tacos were good, but I was disappointed in the bacon crumbles they used on the tacos, and my potatoes, while tasty, were drowning in grease. It was good, but not amazing. I will definitely be ordering something with the bread next time. You could put a shoe on that bread and it would still taste good!! The wait was long, but we had amazing live music happening while we waited and that not only made it bearable, it made it enjoyable. Ramoth Gilead has quite the talent and a set of pipes to rival one of my favorite singers, Darius Rucker. To him, I give 5 stars!! I'm a fan now! Lola's has a lot of options on its menu. I got the Italian Beef sandwich, which, although tasty, was a little difficult to eat. The beef is cut a little too thick so it makes for a bulky sandwich, but the toppings are good and the bread is great. I ordered the slaw as a side and it was a bit disappointing; it was quite dry. Really not much juice/sauce whatever you want to call it. There was none left in the bottom of the bowl, let's say that. Value is good, staff is nice. They make homemade potato chips that are really good. All the sandwiches we've had so far are great. Their burgers are too. They have yummy homemade cookies also. And with that, I can tell you that you can ignore any complaints - this place is awesome. A nice space with great service and phenomenal food, all at great prices - seriously, who complains about that? On its worst day, Lola's will be worth whatever trouble it may be to get there. So you know, I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy (comes with hand made chips) and a cucumber salad and it was too much food for one person, under $20 out the door. Recently visited Tyler and had lunch here, based on Yelp reviews. BLT was terrific; loaded with bacon! The TABC was also really good. I had the roast beef panini...good, not great. Homemade potato chips and lemon-dill potato salad were excellent. This place is big, spacious, very clean and filled with lots of memorabilia on the walls. Went by today for lunch. My stepdad got a Reuben, said it was delicious. I got the Mob Boss, wanted to try something different than the last couple times I've been there. The chips as always were delicious. They make a good margarita, my stepdad said the Bloody Mary was good as well. My sandwich was ok, not great. The prosciutto was thick and very tough. My sandwich gets 4 out of 5 stars. Wife gave hers 3 out of 5. Negatives- chips were crunchy and not oily but in dire need of salt/seasoning. Wait was LONG for a sandwich.
