I grew up in Irvine, and Lollicup was my group's hang out spot, until we all left for college. We always sort of dreaded coming here, cus it would usually turn into us rotting here for hours with nothing to do. But, I guess that's better than no place to go to at all. Anyways, I usually get the honey green milk tea slush, lavender milk tea, royal milk tea slush, taro milk tea, or the rainbow snow with lychee jelly. I love that this place is open late. I also love their enormous selection. I must say, ive never NOT liked a boba joint, but this place seems extra fun. Been coming here occasionally since the place opened, but there's always something that goes wrong each visit. Sometimes they forget to make my order, sometimes they mix it up with someone else, and sometimes they just take 20 min to make 2 standard drinks with an empty store. Last time was the last straw with this location where they switched the size on every drink I ordered for my group (after another inexplicably long wait in an empty store), then told me I'd have to stand in line again, behind a large group that entered, refund my drinks, then buy them again for them to correct them. Every other location I've been to has been quick, accurate, and happy to correct anything that goes wrong. Why is this one so much worse and seems to have a different policy on correcting mistakes? I love this place! Great for any boba craving. Their boba is always warm and fresh, not like some places where you can tell it has been sitting for a while. Taro is the bomb if you are looking for something not too sweet. Want something sweeter? Try for any of the fruit yogurt-slush's, my fav is green apple. Strawberry and mango are also good. Perfect place to go after a long day of class. My fav is their strawberry slush with boba. Other ones I've tried are the coffee slush with boba and mango slush with boba and both were AWESOME! Inside is pretty small, but there's fair amount of seating, and there's also places to sit outside as well. Drinks are just ordinary, nothing too special compared to other boba places. read more

I mentioned in my previous review that this was my hangout over the summer but now it is currently too! I probably come in 2-3 times a week (I know...) but this place is so good! Their boba has gotten way better over the last few months I'm very pleased. I've made a few new favorites too: royal milk tea or slush (my favorite by far, not a lot of places have it!), coffee milk tea (perfect amount of coffee flavor), and green apple green tea (I love sweet fruity drinks yum). Those potato twists though. Yummmm! You have to get them if you come here. I love that they don't haggle you like the diamond jamboree lollicup. I'm very laid back so I like to come in around 1, get a drink, and do some studying before class. I don't have time or patience for upselling so props to this location! Staff is always helpful. A couple months ago they hired new people and it worked out for them it seems. They're fast and accurate, they've never gotten an order wrong. You won me back lollicup :) read more

Drinks: Hit or miss, I've had good drinks, and I've had really bad ones (cannot drink it status). Service: Really good. They are extremely patient and friendly. Even though they can get really busy (they are located in the crowded Diamond Plaza), they are still very good about explaining their menu and add-ons. For a boba place, this place is relatively clean and good service. I am giving it 4 stars because I've had some really bad drinks here before. I am not sure if it is the flavor I don't enjoy, or it was unusually disgusting that day. But on the other hand, I've had really good drinks also. read more

The jasmine milk tea and many other drinks here taste a bit on the sour side. I have come here many times and was hoping that the sour taste was the milk that had gone bad that one time. But every time I have tried the tea here I have been disappointed and have thrown my drink away. A couple months ago the drinks didn't taste this bad. I can definitely tell the difference between the drinks at this location and the one in the diamond jamboree plaza. And the one there is definitely better than the one at this location. I love this place! My coworkers and I end up here often. Its often pretty busy but they do there best to get things done quickly. The environment is fun and relaxed, but the inside is a bit small. So if you want to come in with a large group you might have an issue. But they also have patio seating which is really great in the warm weather! This place is awesome if you have a big sweet tooth. The cheap prices, the extensive selection of drink flavors, and the convenient location make this an ideal spot for a sip of boba ice milk tea. Their chocolate milk tea is my favorite. They put in just the right amount of ice so you can really savor the drink and not have it taste so watery after a while. There are seating areas inside and outside. The bathroom, despite the graffiti, is decently clean. There is a nice view of a courtyard with a stream and fountain through the windows and service is friendly and attentive. read more

Henry (I believe is the name) was helping my daughter at the register. My daughter received a free boba coupon from her friend. She ordered her drink and asked if she can upgrade to a large. Henry said it is $0.12 more. My daughter who is a freshman in HS did not have $0.12 so she just asked to just downgrade to a regular size. Why didn't they just give her the large? It's only $0.12 more. I know the boba is free but if you want to give good customer services be, might as well take it to the next level. I couldn't find a pricing list on their wall of listed drinks. But I went ahead and ordered anyways because how bad can it be? Its just a to go drink/snack place. I ordered a small thai slushy drink (snow bubble?) and an order of crispy chicken....total was 7 dollars and change....huh? I didn't expect it to cost so much...for a snack.... Thai slushy drink was ok....nothing to rave about. But if it costs more than $3.50..... Its wayyyyyy overpriced... Their chicken was another story. It took a long time for my order. Super long line and when I got to the front they require a minimum $10.00 purchase to use credit/debit card (fail!). I'm not going to purchase $10.00 worth of boba drinks! Fortunately, managed to find a five-dollar bill. First off, this place is always dirty. The tables are sticky and the view of the kitchen is not pleasant. The servers can be quite rude and inpatient with you. They're not really down to answer any questions. They also have a $10 minimum - as if it's 2010! Get with the program you guys. And not to forget, this place is really overpriced. I got a large boba for like $5.50 and plus the fee(because of $10 minimum) it came out to about 6 bucks. Just for some tea ? Not worth it. Plus my boba was pretty mediocre. Came here with a couple of my friends on a friday night and boy was it packed. long line but the staff seemed well trained, the line went by fast and as soon as it was my turn to order, it took a couple minutes cause they had a huge variety! This Lollicup makes the tastiest drinks in Irvine! Maybe it's something with my taste bud but I prefer my drink with super strong flavor whatever it may be or extra sweet at least. I ask for these everytime I order at other places but this Lollicup does it without me asking! Don't really like the music or the disco lights but whatever it's not my store and they serve their purposes well. The workers generally try to work fast and keep an eye on you before you ask for any help. Anyways when you order drinks just don't get the less common flavors and you should be fine. 1. I'm not a fan of the glorified stick potato. 2. The milk tea and lattes are good, especially the flower flavors like jasmine or lavender. My only advice is to try half-sugar. So I come here like every saturday night when I visit my friend in Irvine. You can say I'm a fan of this place. It's a small Lollicup but I usually come here to get a drink and check out. There's a large table in the back that seats probably 10-15 people. They have red and blue lights that give the place a nice lively atmosphere and whenever I go, the place is always packed with people. Outside they have a little area if you want to smoke and hang out. This lollicup isn't any different in drink selection than some of the locations and I haven't tried their food yet but when I do, I'll update my review. I think one thing that I remember about this place is I don't think they have free wifi access which bites if you wanted to do some work there. read more
