Finally was able to venture over to Lolo's for the first time today. I loved it! Me and my husband had a great slow paced lunch. We walked up with plenty of tables to choose from on this Beautiful Sunday afternoon. I loved the feel of the whole place from the cow skin bar seats to the mismatched chairs and tables. There was a nice breeze from the from the water and a decent view. We stared with a slushie drink and I must say it was quite strong, just how I like it we had nachos with beef brisket as an appetizer and my husband swears they are the best he has had. They had just enough brisket mixed with the right amount of jalapeño spice. For our entrees we both got tacos. My husband stayed with the brisket, and I got the chicken along with pulled pork. The place is cool, the food is cold. All outside seating on their deck, great views of the marina. Huge tequila selection - ask for the list because in the numerous times we've been there they never offer you the list. My wife, daughter and me all ordered tacos. All came out cold. The rice and beans served as a side, COLD. My son ordered the burger and ate less than half of it. He said every burger he's ever had was better than this. His fries, although they looked good, we're cold. This place started out great but as time goes on it's pretty clear the owners/management don't care. read more

We have been to Lolos about 4 times and have enjoy it everytime. We are newer locals from Chicago (make sense?) and it is one of our first stops into town. The food is great, service is very friendly, we love the location, and the drinks are wonderful, we have never been disappointed. read more

So we got their main salad for $15 and it was pathetic. Frozen blueberries and mandarin oranges. It was small and awful. The burger was also small and expensive. The best thing was the cheese quesadilla we got for our grand-daughter. The view is wonderful. read more

Lolo's isn't a nightclub... Lolo's used to be one of my favorite spots to grab tacos and a cocktail. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the bartenders were great. I dined here on 7/3/2020 at 7:00pm but it felt like I walked into the Itty Bitty at 1:00am on a Saturday night. I will describe our experience as it started off bad and went downhill from there. When we arrive we are greeted by guys blocking access to the deck like bouncers to a club. One was friendly and quiet, the other grumpy and not very helpful. We asked to sit at the bar as there were three or four empty stools available. We were directed to a barrel and told that was the only seating available. A few minutes later some of the one bouncers lady friends arrive and were sent to the empty bar seats. I really though that Lolo's had first come first serve seating. I guess if you show up barely clothed and know the "bouncer" you get preferential treatment. I'll try that next time and see how far I get. Next, we get to the barrel we were sent to and there is one table chair there so I have to grab a lone barstool for my date and I stand. Right above us is a large speaker blaring some kind of hip hop garbage music like you would hear in a nightclub, not a dockside bar. My date and I could barely talk to one another due to the volume. Finally, the drinks were not the greatest. My date ordered a mojito and it was way too sour to drink. This visit to Lolo's was a frustrating experience. I highly suggest bringing back the old Lolo's A few suggestions... 1. Get rid of the shady nightclub feel. 2. Turn down the music and play music that matches the environment a little better. 3. If you are going to have "doormen" or "bouncers", at least train them on how to be friendly and accommodating, not selective. 4. Focus on drink quality, not quantity. 5. Make it a fun dockside bar like Lolo's used to be. read more

Went on Sunday with some friends and had wonderful service and the food was amazing. I'm so glad to have a great tasting, beautiful scenery restaurant on the north aside of Holland to enjoy. The food is just Wow!! I can't wait to go back and try more. read more

Super unfriendly-We were staying at Yacht Basin Marina and decided to eat here. Online said open until 10. When my son went ahead at 855 get a table he was told the kitchen closed at 9:00. About 15 minutes later we decided we would go have a beer at the bar only to be told they close at 9. Told him online said 10 and he was rude and said no it's 9 and walked off. read more

I've been to Lolo's quite a bit and I love the food. I recently went two weeks in a row and had the same waitress, Carley. Unfortunately two weeks in a row the experience was ruined due to the service. Carley was not attentive during either visit and we were highly disappointed. We never received refills on our drinks and were asked how our food was when we had already finished. Basic things like water and drinks were neglected. I hope to see the service improve in the future. - giving a two only for the food. read more

Food was really good. The boats and water right there are nice. Other than that, it was awful. Terrible culture of very aggressive people. It's a seat yourself restaurant and you literally have to stand over people to get a table. Don't hang back and be respectful, the table will get snatched right in front of you. We even saw someone bribe a family to give them their table over another group standing by. There were many people invading everyone's personal space and it was just not a very pleasant experience. I would not recommend for a date or a family dinner or a group dinner. Maybe after dinner drinks? We just hated the whole experience except our tacos were good. read more

Lovely view and tasty tacos. Outdoor seating only, but it was the perfect late summer evening. We had the two taco plate - one shrimp taco and one chicken taco for me and one brisket and one pork for my guest. Nice side of rice and beans with cilantro. A couple of tortilla chips included - we could have used a few more to scoop up the rice and beans. Local beer. Fun decorations. read more

Ok. So. I don't even live in Holland anymore. First time seeing my best friend in 2 years. The only reason we came here was because we called and they said they were going to be open late. We sit down, order a drink. Not even 10 minutes later they say they're closing at 9 and ask if we want anything else. So we order another drink, as our first drinks are still full. The 18 year old server came over asking us to pay at least 4 times. As my best friend is crying over her father passing and three other employees try to force us out. How inconsiderate. You had half of a restaurant full and kicked everyone out. I've been in the bar industry for over 10 years and would NEVER kick people out just so I could go home early. All of these employees were so rude. I'm blown away. They literally closed the doors/windows as we were sitting here with full drinks. Will never come here again. read more

Awesome food with great new specials every week. Love overlooking the water and the marina, such a great location with boardwalk ambiance. Easy access for boaters as well. Great drink menu with special mixed drinks that make you feel like you're in the tropics. Always great live music on the weekends. Could spend so much time here, lovely experience. read more

Wandered over to Lolo's last night and loved it. Loved the deck surrounded by the marina, the cheerful wait staff, mismatched tables and chairs, but mostly we loved the tacos. Ordered one of each, pork, brisket, chicken and shrimp. All different, All flavor packed. The little side of rice and beans was delicious, too. Good spot for a quick bite and cocktail. Beer comes in a can, Sangria was ok. Tacos were alright but not too much of topping on any of the 5 orders we placed (thats 11 chances to get plenty of toppings on at least 1 taco). The corn shells and the chips are delicious. Great atmosphere by the water at the marina on Lake Macatawa. We were there with our kids and were disappointed there weren't any kid options on the menu. There is a nice marina playground next door so our kids played there while we ate. My husband had the hole mole bean burrito and I ordered the nachos. I wish the chips hadn't been so thick. They aren't the thin and crispy ones you usually get in restaurants. The dips that came with the chips were good, though. read more

I visited Lolo's on a beautiful Saturday evening. The live music was terrific. While I am a local, our deck side dinner by the marina made me feel like I was on vacation. What a treat! No hostess & free for all seating seemed to work. Great staff. My party of 2 ordered the four options of tacos. All selections were delicious. Where do I begin.. this place is absolutely terrible a few friends and I decided to have a few drinks and food when we ordered drinks we ordered a 60oz margarita bowl when we got it, it was nothing but sugar!! We then ordered food my friend and I can't have dairy and when we asked them to take off some dairy products they told us they couldn't take anything off and if we didn't want something on it that we had to scrap it off!! Our server never gave us a refill on our water and we only seen her once she didn't even deliver our food. Food was cold when it came out and was just not good. Location, location, location! Seat yourself! Lolo's, just opened Summer 17', is an outdoor Bar/restaurant hidden on a section of Lake Macatawa in the middle of a boat marina. The space has an airy rustic/vintage, relaxing tropical feel. Perfect for boaters, those coming from the beach and anyone seeking drinks and bite to eat. The tacos are very good, unlike any other in the Holland/Zeeland area: the flavor combination is comparable to Righteous Cuisine's tacos in Grand Haven, MI (see my review). Lolo's was opened by the same owner as Itty Bitty and Black Sheep, both great restaurants. Try them all! read more

I was here for the first time on a Monday evening. It's a deck area by the marina with umbrellas on the tables that get evening sun. They were not overly busy but the service was slow at best. The hole mole burrito sounded like a good choice from the menu description even though it seemed pricey ($15.00). It was very disappointing on all fronts-very small, little sauce, less than a teaspoon of cheese crumbles and the meat was dry. There were a few tortilla strips scattered on top, no chips or salsa on the side. For picnic style dining, very overpriced. I will try it again when they have live music and I'm willing to pay a hefty price for drinks only. read more

Horrible horrible restaurant. I have a severe dairy allergy and they told me that they were unable to make any of their tacos without cheese. The tacos are not pre-made, the manager told me that this was a preference of the owner. As someone who struggles daily with finding food that won't make me sick, this was incredibly disturbing. Very disappointed with my one and only visit to Lolo's. Went with my family understood it was outdoor seating but couldn't find a table for all of us to sit together. That was fine, then when we went to order I was told by our waitress that all items were sold as listed no changes add on's or subtractions. I explained that I couldn't have cilantro. She explained that orders are made in quick order and that they couldn't special order because that would slow the orders down. Unbelievable!
