Loma Nail Salon opened recently in the Sports Arena area between Nothing Bundt and Menchies yogurt. There's plenty of free parking. I'm in Point Loma and this area frequently and was glad there was a new nail salon and called to make an appointment. They had the gel polish brands and color selections I prefer. Jaidyn did my gel manicure and Tracy worked on spa pedicure. Both staffers were very courteous friendly and nice. I always have my pup Fendi with me by my side and they were nice to her too. I was the only one in the salon and the ladies took their time during my session. Love the Fabulous results on both my mani and pedi. Will add these ladies to my list of contacts as I would definitely consider returning. Loma Nail Salon earned my perfectly manicured two thumbs up. Recommend!! read more

Everything went generally well. Nails were well done and the salon was clean & bright. I was upset that they weren't more upfront with pricing. I wanted a basic full set which they have listed for $45+. I figured it would be a little more than $45 for the gel polish, but was a bit taken aback to get a total of $75 before tip or tax. They said I was charged extra $10 for shape (almond) and an extra $10 for length (I would not consider these extra-long). Not sure where the other $10 up charge came from, probably the gel charge I expected to begin with. At no time before or during was I told any of my choices would be an up charge. Overall good experience and nails, until the end when I felt deceived. I don't mind paying extra for things I want, I just wish they would have been upfront! As frustrating as it was to walk out closer to double the price I was originally quoted, I do like the nails and environment of the salon in general. read more
